Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I have been to my fair share of Chinese restaurants, and I am confident in saying this is the best Chinese place within several miles. If you are coming through Norfolk, this is the place to go. The food is amazing. I am pretty picky about my Crab Rangoon and theirs is very good. I usually get my go to, the Triple delight, and it never fails here. It's always flavorful and the meat is cooked great. The rice and soup is great and for dinner (and sometimes lunch) you get a decorative design on your plate which makes it more fun. They are very reasonably priced and you get a heck of a good amount of food for what you pay. My only complaint, and the reason I gave four stars is the service. The lady that is at the cash register is extremely rude. I watched her practically yell at this little elderly woman who was chatting with her at the register. She was not interested in chatting, she was trying to get her out the door as fast as she could. There are a few other's that are pretty rude as well. However, one of the gentleman waiters is great, very attentive and I always hope we get him. They seem to be hiring new staff, and they have been much more pleasant and friendly. They are lucky their food is so great, that is why I keep coming back. So don't expect a super friendly welcome, but the food is worth it. Beats the other choices in town. Which is slim to none.

Oh Panda, I used to love you! Always made it a point to stop here on my way thru Norfolk, it's seriously great food! Sadly my last visit may be my last forever due to the HORRIBLE service! Apparently they set up a little buffet on Sundays, which I didn't know having always swung in for week-day lunches. I was bummed I couldn't order my beloved Mongolian Beef, or maybe I could have...who knows since no one really ever waited on us! We sat down and waited and waited and waited, the server just ignored us. I would have liked a soda, but all I seemed to be able to get was water. Finally we headed up to the minuscule buffet since clearly no one was going to wait on us...About mid way thru eating a bill was dropped off by a server who didn't utter a word. I finished before my husband and went up to pay the bill. The lady who rang me up was rude, impatient and never spoke a word to me except to yell at me to step up to the counter when I didn't IMMEDIATELY notice the woman in front of me was done paying. The icing on the cake was when I returned to the table to wait for my husband to finish, and the waiter tried to bill me AGAIN then proceeded to argue with me when I said Id already paid! Sorry Panda, your food is good but it's no excuse for atrocious service!

Great place to eat! The help is very friendly and genuine. We eat there on a weekly basis. Almost busy, tasty, and reasonably priced. Sweet and sour chicken is amazing as well as the wonton soup!:)

The Panda Garden is a gem right here in Norfolk. Their food is delicious - I've never had anything I didn't like. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has a very limited bar so if you go there and expect a fancy drink, you might be disappointed. But the food will always be good. Lunch is also very inexpensive and they get it ready really fast.

I've increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars. After living in Norfolk for 10 months, this place has started to grow on me. Don't know if I'm just desperate for Chinese and my standards have lowered, or if I've actually found better items on the menu. But I find myself coming here for lunch quite often in recent months. It's way better than eating Burger King or McDonalds all the time. The waiter has also gotten to recognize me and he knows what I'm going to order. The guy has always been nice to me, and that's a big reason why I'm changing my original rating. I always order the hot and sour soup, which is fantastic. And the beef broccoli is actually really good. The beef is so tender and the sauce is on par. Maybe I will venture to try other items on the menu, but I'm afraid that that will make me change my mind again about Panda Garden.

Good food but... who doesn't give soda refills? Thought that was strange. Great presentation of food as well.

This is hands down the best place to eat in Norfolk. The staff is phenomenal, the food is fantastic (especially the duck), the prices are fair, and the staff is great (worth a 2nd mention). Also worth noting they have a few vegetarian options.

Delicious! Friends family owns the place so maybe I'm a bit biased. The take out service is good too.
