I am not going to rate the sushi in this place because I can't stand sushi. Makes me hurl. But as previous commenters have stated the service really is top notch. You can expect to be greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Drink orders are taken and then off to the buffet. The Chinese food here is marginal and they seem to be using the same recipe's as the previous establishment. However, they have added several new sea food options which are delicious. Their grill is pretty good and it includes a very thinly sliced steak which is actually very tastey. I like to mix mine with steak, shrimp, onions and mushrooms all freshly grilled. Very good. Also, they have crawfish, shrimp in several different recipes, fried crab, and on Friday night, crab legs. Great chicken selections including the usual chicken on a stick, but also a fairly tasty buffalo wings. Their ice cream is somewhat unique in a buffet. You have to ask for help but they open up a deep freeze and hand scoop REAL ice cream! No ice milk here. If you stayed away from the previous establishment because it was sub par, it is worth a second look. I have been their 4 times now and haven't eaten anything "Chinese" except crab rangoon. Plenty of "other" things on the buffett to keep me busy.

This place has really gone down hill recently. I used to love this place, but last time I went a couple of weeks ago, it left much to be desired! Food wasn't great. Service has never been over the moon.

I temporarily work in Lincoln, and start to find out nice place for dining. We arrived Teppanyaki for lunch, to my surprise, the interior is very decently decorated and spacious. Background music was classical and pleasant. It's in fact a typical Chinese buffet combined with Sushi bar and grill. I have to say their Sushi are not super. However I'm giving 4 stars for my comfortable dining experience and great value - only about $20 for 3 people - incredible price!

The only thing I liked was the price. Not bad for a buffet. However, I will not be returning. The food tasted so stale, old and bland. It was like watered down Chinese. Pitiful assortment of sushi. I was afraid to eat it because I have no idea how long it had been sitting out. I could not find a single item to like.

Been there several times. I would recommend it. Cold sushi and other great food. The staff were all very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I believe their lunches are cheaper than their dinner prices. I can't say I've ever done one of their lunches though. If you want some decent sushi and some other kinds of foods, this is the place.

I wasn't going to review this place because I was ashamed to have allowed myself to be convinced to make a trip to their establishment. I'm giving them one star because the service was fine. We were greeted upon arrival, promptly seated and our drinks arrived very quickly. It all went downhill from there. I see that the sushi is highly rated by other reviewers. Are you kidding me? The nigiri was sliced so thin that you could see through it. Great knife skills, but it was tasteless. There was only one fish nigiri offered, and that was the thinly sliced salmon. The other two nigiri offered were tamago (egg) and krabstick (fake crab). They had some rolls, all of which contained cream cheese and only one had fish: tuna. All of the rolls were poorly formed and fell apart upon the mere touch of chopsticks. The sushi was equivalent to what you would find in the convenience/prepared food aisle of the grocery store, but not as good. One more thing about the sushi...tempura pickle roll? Really? Blech, blech, blech. These are the only words to describe the sushi and most of the other items offered. It was a sad little place. At least we were only out a few bucks and we got a good chuckle. If you are going here for the sushi, and you enjoy sushi, stay away!!!

We decided to give this place a chance despite the less-than-universally positive reviews here because it was the closest sushi joint listed near where we were shopping. I'm glad we tried it out as it certainly exceeded our expectations. The service was very fast and friendly. The restaurant seemed to be clean and in excellent condition. The price was also very reasonable for a weekday lunch buffet. I am no sushi expert, but the options were varied enough for my pallet and comparable to the quality I was able to obtain on a recent Asian trip. The dessert bar also had many options and 8 kinds of ice cream (which always seems to go over great with the kids). The ready-to-eat foods were reasonably good, standard Asian buffet fare. I wonder if some of the complaints are due to their relative newness in the market since they have not yet been open a year. We will certainly return when we are in the area again!

Restaurant was pretty clean, some of the food was fresh but other things seemed like they were made days ago and sat in a vat somewhere or were frozen and then reheated. The sushi was Okay, pretty much just average for around here. If this place were in Los Angeles it would have closed a long time ago. I see promise here if they ever decided to step it up a bit so they don't blend in with Lincoln's average.....

Very nice variety of Chinese, Sushi, and 'Mongolian'-type grill. There are more offerings than one can eat in a single visit (which means coming back again!) Having had my fill of fried and overcooked foods the past few days, I immediately went to the section that had ingredients for the grill: ready-to-be-cooked beef, chicken, shrimp, clams, squid plus broccoli, onions, pineapple, sprouts, etc. They even had fresh eggs to be stirred in. While that cooked on the griddle (you tell the chef how spicy to make it), I wandered through the multiple rows of Chinese foods - orange chicken, stir fried beef, salmon, tuna and chose a selection of sushi and rolls that had been made minutes before. For dessert we went with fresh honeydew and watermelon but the pastries looked very tasty too! Oh, and there's serve yourself real ice cream. All this for less than $8 for lunch! I can see this being a hit with the university students too! The restaurant is large with lots of tables close to each other, so this isn't an intimate or romantic place but lots of fun and great fusion of Asian cuisines.

I wanted some decent sushi and Mongolian grill late on a Friday night, had heard this place advertised on the radio, and checked out the website. I was expecting a nice Mongolian grill restaurant where you could order sushi, like Shogun, except with some Chinese food that you could get off a buffet. What I got was a pretty standard Chinese buffet with some decently fresh sushi. There was no Mongolian grill on a Friday night, which struck me as odd and was disappointing given the rave reviews for it on Yelp. I would say about 25% of the food was lukewarm and not all pans of food were full. No particular food was a stand out for me here, even though I give them credit for making the sushi fresh (although there was not much selection). The ice cream was very poorly marked. I wanted a bowl full of vanilla ice cream and got a bowl full of pineapple sherbet because the tubs were so poorly marked (and had flecks of other ice creams/sherbets in each one). Environmentally, I could have done without the medley of sad Beatles songs being played loudly during most of my dinner. I will say the service was really good and the owner was very helpful and nice. It was a good value, too...around $11.50 for the Friday night buffet. Don't let the website fool you. It's really just a Chinese buffet with a little bit of really fresh sushi...if you want a nicer place with better sushi selection and higher quality food, go to Shogun.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
