Thanks to the weekday special for the Banker's Suite, the Rogers House made Lincoln, Nebraska our most relaxing stop on our cross country road trip. I've stayed in my fair share of BnBs and while this was not the most luxurious, it was definitely a bargain and a great place to rest our weary heads. This once BnB-turned-fraternity-house-converted back to BnB is located in a cozy corner of town nestled among beautiful craftsman houses. It's a hop skip and a jump into downtown Lincoln where we enjoyed seeing the art deco State Capitol building, river walk and the quirky Germans from Russia museum. The Bankers Suite, while having a few minor flaws mostly due to age, was incredibly relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and there was a sitting room, a jacuzzi room and a separate bathroom and shower. We loved the Jacuzzi tub and the delicious two course breakfast we were served. The staff here were super friendly and made our stay relaxing. If I ever find myself in Lincoln again I'd make sure to pop my head on to a pillow at the Roger's house.

Great stop off of interstate 80! Wonderful midwestern hospitality. Tasty hot breakfast and cozy rooms! No irritating schedules or bothersome group activities, just a relaxing visit.

The house itself is beautiful, and the staff is the best. I have loved all of the breakfasts I have had here and find the place to be a wonderful and quiet change of pace from the usual places I stay when I travel. If you are looking for a nice B&B you will be very satisfied with the Rogers House.

Big disappointment... My wife and I came to the Rogers House B&B while we were passing through Lincoln. We got a discount because of the summer season and stayed in the Banker's Suite, one of the larger rooms. We found the suite to be fairly spartan for it's size and rather Ill laid out. In order to reach the bathroom, you have to pass through the sunroom. We gave stayed at many B&Bs before, so we could overlook that if a nice bed and a great breakfast. The mattress itself needs to be replaced, as it was showing serious signs of wear. The room seems to have temperature control issues, making it harder to sleep. As to breakfast, we were able to eat in the sunroom. The breakfast was average, fruit and yogurt first, followed by a hot entree. Our entree included sausage that looked like it came from walmart and was reheated in the microwave. The staff seemed friendly enough, but on the whole, we are glad we didn't pay full price. Pros: sunroom dining, friendly staff, free wifi Cons: below average bed, average breakfast, Spartan decor, poor room layout, stained linens (robes, towels)

The Rogers House was a highlight of my recent stay in Lincoln. I'm driving cross country, and I called Nora (the owner) the day before I was planning to arrive. She was so welcoming and helpful and gave me a wonderful room at a special rate. I was pretty tired when I arrived, and Jonathan greeted me with friendliness and a nice smile! I stayed in the Garrett Suite, which is a whole floor w/a canopy bed and jacuzzi. It gave me the privacy and rest that I needed. I also checked out the room that used to be the West Ballroom, and it is completely adorable as well. (Note: the bed in the Garrett suite is very firm so just make sure you're good with that) The breakfasts were also wonderful --- the homemade muffins and whole grain pancakes were special highlights. Nora served me each morning, and she made some extra touches like having extra green tea ready for me and serving me water right away on the second day after I'd asked for it the day before. What a nurturing, kind touch. I would highly recommend this B&B over a traditional hotel if you are planning to stay in Lincoln. Thank you Nora and staff for making my stay so comfortable and blessed.
