Creative menu and great food! They don't hold back on the spiciness if you ask for it, but the other flavors are just as good. The local-only beef is a great mission statement and well worth it. It's decently priced too.

This is my favorite burger in Lincoln. Every time I have been there, the staff has been nice and accommodating - they also cook my burger medium when I ask. The burgers are always juicy, especially the stuffed ones. The brioche buns are buttered and put on the griddle, so they are nice and butter-yummy, an their mushrooms are fantastic. My favorite side would be the cheese bites. They taste like magical cheesy donuts or something, and I love them! The place is decorated fast-casual, so it is not super comfortable, but that is okay - I get the point of the aesthetic. Hands down, this is where my boyfriend and I would take people visiting, and now that I have moved away from Lincoln, I hope it stays so I can eat there when I go back.

Had heard good reviews, was excited to try. Waffle fries were cold, but gladly replaced with new warm fries. Burger had grilled mushrooms instead of grilled onions, and had previously had a convo with worker if he thought grilled onions would be good on pepper jack burger. I asked him "I may be wrong, but didn't I order grilled onions?" he said no, but would bring grilled onions out for me if I wanted. I said no thank you, at that point I was annoyed enough with the place. The burger was fine, but the bun was cold. Overall, negative experience. I much prefer five guys and will visit them next time I'm craving a burger. We ordered 2 plain burgers with fries, 1 specialty burger, 1 coke, 1 beer. Total was $39. Seemed expensive compared to five guys

Great burgers. Awesome waffle fries. Good people working there. Will definitely go back for more HF crave!

One lazy day after work I feel like eating out. Crave burger had good quality beef patty and many signature menus. I love sweet potato fried as well.

We stop here after reading reviews on yelp and we were not disappointed. I had grilled chicken sandwich. Excellent! And my husband had a burger. He was very satisfied. Fresh tasting food and great service. We will be back.

Best Burger in town. Fresh local ingredients. Friendly and helpful. Specialty burgers are great to try for something different. Got to try the waffle fries with a dipping sauce of your choice.

It's awesome that the gourmet burger trend has hit Lincoln, and great that there's a place offering great burgers with largely "local" ingredients. There aren't many burgers even remotely close to this in Lincoln, except Abes and (possibly) Five Guys. Those are both great places too, but Abes is a bit smaller (and dirtier) when I was there, and Five Guys uses peanut oil for its fries, which eliminates a lot of familes with nut allergy concerns. I've tried about a quarter of the burgers on the menu here and all have been fantastic. The fries, both regular and sweet potato, are also top notch. This really is a much, much better meal than you'd get at long-in-the-tooth local eateries like Lazlos, for less money. It's also nice not supporting a big national chain like the nearby Red Robin. Finally, it's always nice to be at a place where you can see back in the kitchen, and you aren't freaked out by what you see. The kitchen and the rest of the place are clean! -- addendum -- I do know that Crave was recently targeted by some folks as part of a smear campaign, because Crave didn't prohibit an "open gun carry" group from meeting there. Some folks wanted them to stop the group from meeting, but that's a non-issue to me, since this is Nebraska and you see open carry quite a bit, like you do in Florida, Virginia, and other states. It's allowed under the state consitution and under the federal one too after the recent court rulings, so if you start to boycot every restaurant where they dine collectively or individually, you might as well cook at home. Many of us here grew up in an agricultural or rural area where it was pretty normal so... no phobias on my part and I'd be kind of surprised if a place tied to local ranchers had any gun phobias. LOL Anyway this restaurant is located in South Lincoln where the clientelle is relatively quite educated and affluent, so the tie-dyed crowd probably are up in some central-lincoln apartment anyway and it's much ado about nothing. Bottom line I guess is I'm kinda impressed that "Crave didn't cave" to all the political stuff and serves everyone without trampling on the first amendment peacable assembly and free speech rights, as well.

Great burgers! Meat has a lot of flavor without adding any toppings. Prices are decent considering the quality of the meat! Can't beat the Stuffed Pepper Jack burger! I love that they use Jisa's cheese and Le quarter bread! Go here if you want a great burger!

Loved the burger options here. Whenever I can get a non-traditional burger I'm all for it. Waffle fries were great and the option of sweet potato fries was an added bonus. Definitely will come back in the future

Great food love to support local. Had a hot dog it was great, my fiancé hamburger was great too. Love the homemade sauces for the fries. It's a bit expensive but good. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions and followed up to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction.

I just had HF Crave for this first time today. Best burger I've ever had (and I grew up in the beef industry). I can not wait to go back. The atmosphere is really neat, and the gentleman who helped us was incredibly helpful and polite. HIGHLY recommend this place! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!

I have recently been trying out some of the premier burger locations in town and I have heard excellent things about HF Crave. I stopped by with my wife for an anniversary lunch. I have to say, in my opinion, HF Crave has the third best burger in town. I prefer Nitro Burger, or Honest Abes. The burger at crave was smaller and wasn't grilled but rather friend. Though it certainly was good. I had the steakburger which had onion straws, and steak sauce and was really very good. As I mentioned, I found the patty to be kind of small compared to competitors and at $8 for just the burger, I expected something bigger. The real star here was the waffle fries. For an additional $2 you get a LARGE amount of waffle fries and a drink. The seasoning on the waffle fries was amazing, and they were cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of CRUNCH! Did I mention you got a lot! HUGE portion for only $2 with a drink. Also, I have to say the restaurant experience is better than either Nitro Burger which has no seating, and Honest Abes where you have to sit on each other's laps and is noisy. So for the burger alone, I would say HF Crave isn't the best in town, though it is above average. But throw in the waffle fries and the copius amount of seating and I would say this place get's put on TOP of the others. Definitely will come back when I am on the South Side of town.

The Crave hits the spot. My favorite is the Rasta burger: sweet and spicy served with fresh mango/habanero salsa, yum! They've got plenty of options for everyone: whether you're an adventurous foodie or you've got a more conservative palette. You can tell the beef is the real deal (doesn't hurt that the cooks really know their way around a grill). A full meal will run you about $10-$12, which is pretty stellar considering the meat is all sourced from a local farm. So go ahead, give HF Crave a try, and for the love of god don't forget to add waffle fries.

I don't eat out as much as I wish I could when I'm in home in Lincoln because I travel for work and get my fair share of eating out around the country. But I have been here once and it was very good. The hamburger is very fresh, made locally and just tastes better. And they have creative combinations. The fries were also yummy.

Jalapeño pepper jack burger oh yea, the stuff patty was oozing out with goodness. Not exactly what one would consider healthy, but packed high and well built. I only had the opportunity for lunch while in the area, so this was the one I found while looking up yelp. The fries were a positive as well, well spiced and flavorful. So many selections but the workers suggested their own hot mess and it was delightful.

While visiting lincoln I was told about HF Crave by a friend. Crave is a must for burgers, hot dogs and salads. All their meats are self raised on their family farm. It's great food and awesome concept. This place can be nationwide!! If your in lincoln, this place is a must!!

Hands down the best burger in the city! Everything is locally sourced beef from the Hollenbeck family farm, always fresh and hormone free. Burger/fries/drink will run you about $10-12, on par with most restaurants but the food here is much better. I personally love the Rasta burger, but even the basic burger is fantastic!

  • Ray S.

Very yummy! Excellent on those days you just need a good burger. It's hard to say which I like better, this place or Honest Abe's... you're probably best off going to whichever is close to you when it comes time to eat, considering that they are on opposite sides of town.

I took my fiance here for lunch last week after reading several reviews and hearing from a few friends to not miss this place. We generally aren't big burger eaters, my fiance grew up on a farm eating the best beef - so if we're not in her hometown, we generally stray towards other offerings. But, after we heard of they stay true to their local offerings, we decided to give it a go. I ordered the stuffed pepper jack burger (per the cashiers recommendation) and my fiance ordered a regular pepper jack cheese burger. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries with creamy garlic dipping sauce. It took about 10-15 minutes for the burgers to get to the table. Presentation was great, the burgers looked thick and juicy, the fries didn't look overly greasy, and the condiments looked fresh and crisp. My burger was bursting with flavor and heat. The burger patty is actually stuffed with a jalapeno cream cheese that was messy, but totally worth it - the flavor was awesome. The sweet potato fries were excellent as well, and the dipping sauce was a perfect complement. My fiance's burger, however, didn't quite hit the taste buds the same way mine did - and we both agreed on that. The beef was great, but her burger lacked flavor that I've had on other burgers. Don't get it wrong, it was good, but we've had better. With that being said, I suggest opting for the flavor packed stuffed burgers or peanut butter burger (that I haven't tried, but I've heard it's killer). The staff was bright and cheery, very welcoming and helpful in answering our questions and fulfilling our requests for recommendations. The place was clean and sharp. The price ($20 for 2 burgers, 1 side, and 2 waters) was something I'm not too used to when I'm ordering burgers. It's tough for me to say that I got my $20 worth, the burgers aren't impressively massive or anything. I understand that you have to pay to keep it local and fresh, and maybe I'm a tightwad, but I felt like it was a little pricey. Overall, it was good. If I'm ever craving a burger in Lincoln, I will keep HF Crave in my list of go-to's.

I don't understand what all the hype is about. It was good, and I wouldn't oppose going back if a bunch of friends were going, but I wouldn't go just for me. Regular burgers, kind of expensive for what you get.

I love gourmet burgers, and I really wanted to like this place. We ordered three burgers, two of the whiskey bacon burgers and a pb&b burger, along with the side sampler. The burgers were okay, but we all thought they were kind of disappointing. My husband remarked that they seemed more processed than other burgers joints in town. I wasn't terribly impressed with the flavor. My burger was over-cooked to well even though I specifically requested medium. The sides were nothing to write home about. I really wanted to like the cheese curds, but I found the sweet batter a bit off-putting, and all of the sides and burgers seemed to lack proper seasoning. Figure in the price and atmosphere, and I'd rather go to Red Robin just a few doors down.

This place is a gourmet burger joint that is essentially ripping off Blanc in Kansas City and Omaha and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am delighted that we have our own version here in town. Everything here is as locally sourced as possible. The food is delicious. You get a huge burger that is more than enough food. We made the mistake of ordering 2 of the trio appetizers to split amongst 8 people and ended up with way more food than we could possibly eat. The service was very friendly and quick. We went with a big group and they somehow lost my friends order. They were super apologetic, got the food to him quickly and gave him a free beverage. The atmosphere is kind of blah, but overall a great place to eat.

  • Katharine B.

The service was fast, the staff was friendly, and the burgers were made with quality ingredients. You can build your own burger, or you can choose one of their signature burgers. Plus you can choose between regular, sweet potato, or waffle fries. Everything we had was yummy! They also have a bucket option for the munchkins where they can choose something kid-friendly like a hot dog or simple burger - and my mother ordered a bucket, so it's not just for kids. :-)

If I ever find myself unjustly sentenced to death row, my last meal will be Crave's Stuffed Pepper Jack burger. And my last request will be that my lethal injection be 100 gallons of Crave's Honey Chipotle Sauce.

I almost never give a five-star rating, but Crave gets my vote without hesitation. I had the plain, no-frills Crave burger -- just a perfectly moist, juicy patty that had that wonderful grass-fed beef flavor, served up on a brioche bun from a local bakery. The lettuce was crisp, the tomato flavorful and juicy, the onions crisp but not too intense. Straight up: I loved it. I also had the sweet potato fries and they rocked as well. Crave gets its meat straight from a local farm, and that's a massive plus in my book. It really can't be compared to Five Guys or that kind of place, in terms of price, because they're not using the same quality ingredients. Crave isn't a fast food place. It's a burger joint that specializes in locally-sourced, naturally-raised ingredients. Yes, you order from a counter, but that's the only similarity. I didn't find it pricy at all: burgers for two and a shared order of sweet potato fries (plenty for two average-sized women) set us back only $15.00, tax included. That's as cheap as Super Taco, and a whole lot healthier! Where else in town can you get free-range, locally raised meat, locally sourced veggies, and locally baked buns for an affordable price? Flavor, quality, execution, reasonable pricing... Crave is the only place I'll get a burger in Lincoln, from now on.

WoW! Fellow yelpers did not let me down on this recommendation. That may of been the best burger I ever had outside of 5 guys. Maybe a little better. That bacon was awesome. Those waffle fries were cooked to perfect perfection. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Dang that was good!

This is our second time at the crave. The food is great, well seasoned and cooked fast. Restaurant is clean and open.staff is very professional, I asked for a new burger because it was under cooked. Staff was happy to fix and the second was perfect.

Awesome sweet potato fries, cheese curds and stuffed burgers. Takes longer than Runza for a burger but it's worth the wait! No clue how their waffle fries are since we never deviate from our favorites.

This is a great fast casual place for a premium burger! The story goes that the food is both farm fresh and all natural. Not only are the ingredients quality, they are good most importantly. They have many variations stacked up to meet just about any taste and even a hotdog basket for the kiddos at a great price. They also have great fries, sweet potatoe fries, and various other sides. I really enjoyed the spicy garlic and jalapeno ranch dipping sauces that come with the fries. The burgers are big which is make fresh taste even better. After learning about the story I though the premium burgers would cost a small fortune but they only charge about $10.50 for their signature burgers loaded with all sorts of goodies so big you may have trouble wrapping your mouth around it. Overall, if you want greasy dripping goodness on a bun, stop in here for a great burger at a great price and fell slightly less guilty the mean is fresh and natural.

Its a burger place. What I like: Fresh Nebraska ingredients wherever possible, including the meat. Nothing frozen or pre-made here so that's an advantage. Mostly basic burgers and classic burgers here, but they have a few signature burgers and stuffed burgers which give them a little bit of flare. This is probably the 3rd or 4th best burger place in Lincoln, behind Honest Abes, Leadbelly, and perhaps tied with C Berrys smoked burgers or Nitro Burger. Most of this is in the eye of the beholder but I prefer a burger place that goes a little off the wall with their choices. On another plus, the cheese curds here are excellent, and make a nice side choice. I'm not much of a fries person, but the sweet potato fries were also pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but good. They have a few salad options too for anyone trying to limit calories. What I don't Like: Small place so if its full you have to wait a bit to get a table. They are not the quickest place so not great if your in a hurry.

This place is a really good burger joint. The ingredients are interesting, but the combinations create the right flavor every burger. A practice Honest Abe's tries but completely misses the mark. Their home grown beef could stand alone without any toppings. The dipping sauces they provide for their fries are really tasty and thought out. Their waffle fries are crispy as they should be. Was a little disappointed that they don't make their cheese curds anymore, but hey, they have plenty of other stuff to choose from. The gentleman working explained the menu, the combinations, and was very courteous. They have plenty of other items on their menu like salads, steak, and chicken sandwiches. So there's plenty to choose from. It's a little pricey but you get what you paid for. Strongly suggest trying this place out, skip Honest Abe's.

I had the pb and b burger and it was really good. Get the waffle fries unless you really like sweet potato fries. The chipotle mayo sauce is good as well. Each meal comes with fries a drink and a sauce. I was sad to see they no longer have cheese curds.

Very good burger. The beef was excellent as well as the buns. I got the rasta burger and it was very tasty. The mango salsa was delicious but I wish they put more on the burger. There was just a spoonful in the middle. The waffle fries were pretty good but not seasoned well. Some had a lot of seasoning, some had none. I got my fries with a side of ranch. I personally didn't care for it because all I could taste was sour cream. I'd prefer it with more buttermilk or mayo. The atmosphere was nice and the interior was smart for what they are doing. I was surprised at how fast I got my food. Also the price was fair for what you got. My favorite thing about this place has to be their beef. It tasted very fresh and they cooked it well. I'd come back just for that alone

HF Crave is a very nice addition to the Lincoln restaurant scene. I am a huge fan of Blanc Burgers in KC (and now in Omaha), and so I was excited to hear someone was doing something similar. This place is a gourmet burger place and uses mostly locally sourced meat, bread, veggies and cheeses. When someone starts a business like this I get very excited. It's wonderful to be able to go out to eat and have meat with produce coming from local farmers. With that comes higher prices, and I'm happy to pay them. You cannot expect a place that is serving local food products to have the same prices as a chain restaurant down the street. HF Crave did not disappoint me here. They have fresh, local ingredients, creative burgers and sides and very friendly service. I went with a big group of friends for a birthday. We all ordered burgers and split a trio appetizer. I ordered a burger with peanut butter on it, and oh my-this was good. The quality of beef was fantastic. I've purchased Hollenbeck beef before from a couple of the farmer's markets in town and it is some delicious stuff. The farm is outside of Elmwood, NE and everything is natural and grass fed. This delicious burger patty was perfectly cooked, the peanut butter was a fun touch, and the Le Quartier bun it sat in was also wonderful. The appetizer trio we had was also great. Sweet potato fries, waffle fries, and cheese curds. The cheese curds were very delicious, and Blanc in Omaha has the same on their menu. I have to say, I think I liked them a touch better here. They are made with Jisa's cheese (also Nebraska product) and dipped in a Lucky Bucket Beer batter (a brewery in Omaha). The fries were fantastic as well, and the trio came with 3 delicious, house made dipping sauces. Give HF Crave a try. It is a gourmet burger place, and therefore a bit more expensive. I think you'll find it worth the extra $$.

Locally sourced ingredients. We have had Hollenbeck Farms burgers at local events and see them regularly at the downtown farmers' market. Fabulous flavor. Flavor was best in the burgers and fries. My husband and I each had a cheeseburger, with toppings of our choice. We went crazy and had the trio of sides: waffle fries, sweet potato fries and fried Jisa (local) white cheddar cheese. Appetizer trio came with three dipping sauces of our choice(garlic was my favorite). More than enough food. Enough that we took an entire carryout container home with us! Also, sustainable packaging. And a meat case right in the restaurant! I think that this may be my new favorite restaurant in Lincoln.

This place is super yummy, it has to be one of the best burger places in lincoln! I've only been twice, but between my husband and I, we have tried the Stuffed Black & Blue Burger, PB&B Burger, Stadium Bratburger, & the Rasta Burger. All 4 were amazing. The had such fresh ingredients and were juicy cooked to perfection burgers. We've also had both the waffle fries and cheese bites. Both were very good but the cheese bites were a little greasy for my taste. The best part is the special sauces that come with them. In addition to the specialty burgers you can make your own, or have a hotdog or salad. I'm so glad I found this place because my husband lovers burgers and I don't so it's difficult to go to just a burger place but I'm pretty sure I could eat here at least once a week. I would say that the interior also looks nice and clean but I don't think the chairs are comfortable. They look like metal but they are a hard plastic type material. I don't mind that much but even if I did they let you order to go. Staff is also very friendly. Cost is about $10 per person. Definitely worth the price.

Went to Crave after reading the review on the paper. It was the best Burger in town as described in the paper. I had a single Burger (1/3 pound of beef) topped with a Sunny side up (yes, a fried egg!) And my son had a double Burger (whopping 2/3 pounds of beef) with cheese, bacon, mushroom and onion. We also had fried sweet potatoes (me) and waffle potato (son). Everything was delicious! We paid $26 for both and waited 10 minutes to get food, so it is not a quick and cheap meal you expect from a fast-food joint, but it's worth the money and wait. The Burger was better than many family restaurants. I would definitely go back there again.

Very fresh burger and cool atmosphere. Lots of different toppings and options to choose from - including stuffed burgers. It's also nice to see a restaurant put an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Overall a little pricey but the quality makes it worth it.

My favorite place for the best burger in all of Lincoln. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. Come hungry and leave satisfied. I always get the same thing but I don't mess with the best. Cheeseburger and waffle fries. The bun from Le Quartier Bakery really makes burger and the bonus dipping sauces. Last but not least is they have Coke products. Hard to find in this town as being a transfer from KC. The kids that work there are friendly and happy to answer an questions, very clean. There was only one time I went and they were blaring obnoxious music and seemed like the food took forever when we were the only ones there. I love this place and will keep going back.

Went here for a late lunch and I was impressed. We hadn't seen these guys at the Old Cheney farmers' market lately, and I guess this is why. My burger was hot, juicy, and perfectly cooked. No complaints about the patty or the toppings, but the bun was stale. Knowing it was from just next door made me all the more upset about this. What a way to save a buck. Other than that, most of the waffle fries I had were also perfect - hot and crispy. A few were mixed in from an old batch, though, I think - cold and soggy. Again, the chef needed to bite the bullet and throw away the old product. I am willing to forgive this based on the creamy garlic dipping sauce, which was phenomenal. Definitely homemade. I will be back for another burger soon, and hoping these few freshness issues improve.

I'm updating this review. The last couple of times we've gone, the 'chefs' have been young teens and the burgers have been very dry. Also, I don't appreciate the fact this establishment decided to make a political stand that alienated a lot of families.

I stopped into crave with a hangover last sunday, usually food tastes better when I've had a long night of drinking so take that into account whilst reading my review. I didn't go to HF Crave on purpose, that is, I didn't leave my place with the intention of going to Crave, I left with the intention of going to Chipotle (see: hungover), however, I noticed the store front and thought it looked cool so I gave it a shot. Upon walking into this establishment one is immediately hit with the smell of cooking burgers, throw that in with the contemporary decor and it is certainly a "new" experience for the senses. They have menus located on the side of the ordering line to speed things up, there wasn't a line when I went in, so I didn't bother. The cashier was very friendly, I took a moment to peruse the menu located above the registers and decided on the #1, a stuffed burger with pepperjack cheese and a jalapeno cream cheese. I also ordered the "cheese bites" as something to try. The gal at the register told me that it would be about 12 minutes before my food was ready so I got my drink and took a seat at one of the tables. Approximately 20 minutes later (this didn't bother me as I wasn't in a hurry) I got my food and began to eat, I took a large bite of the burger first and was pleasantly surprised, it was maybe a tad bit overcooked, (they say their burgers are cooked to medium-well) this was real close to well done but I'm sure it's difficult to cook a stuffed burger to medium well without a few mishaps. All in all the burger was satisfactory, the jalapeno cream cheese they use and the brioche bun rounded out a very good burger. The Cheese Bites.....the cheese bites at HF Crave are unlike anything I've ever had, a guilty pleasure for sure, these things melt in your mouth and give you a profound sense of shame for eating such a thing (I mean that in a good way), the cheese bites over shadowed the burger by leaps and bounds...I immediately left after my meal and went to confession, that's how good the cheese bites are...seriously, try the cheese bites. I feel it's now time to mention the cheese bites. Just kidding, try Crave, well worth a visit just to see what's going on and enjoy the atmosphere. Next time I go in i'm gonna give the peanut butter and bacon burger a shot. Oh, and try the cheese bites.

Fancy ass burgers. It's not a hipster mecca, Like Honest Abe's is. There is also space, to sit, stand and even order, unlike Honest Abe's. Haiku review.

Local ingredients, great food! The burgers are made with All Natural Hollenbeck Farms Beef- awesome! I had the Cowboy Burger sans cheese. The sweet potato fries are delicious. The wait wasn't too long. Beware of the stuffed burgers; they are chock full of juicy goodness and can wreak havoc on a brand new dress shirt/pants :-(

I visited Crave for the first time last week. at 12:30pm there were only a few people in the restaurant. The counter service was great. I picked up my cup and attempted to get iced tea.. it was empty, as was the lemonade and the Dr. Pepper. I've never been to a restaurant before where so many drinks were empty. I could see if they were busy but there were not and there were 4 employees that I could see. They did come out and refill it for me. My food arrived and the waffle fries were so salty there were inedible. The burger was ok.. nothing to write home about.

Watch out, Red Robin..I LOVE this place! I had heard many good things about it and stopped in late tonight for a burger and fries to go. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and my burger was made fresh with exactly the toppings I wanted. The staff was helpful, hardworking, and excited to be there. The burger tasted GREAT, and the bun from the local bakery farther down the strip mall was a great touch. I didn't think the chipotle mayo I chose to complement my sweet potato fries would work well, but the pair was quite tasty. This is one of many local Lincoln restaurants that I will miss. An ultimate meal would be to have a burger and fries here and an ice cream or shake from the UNL Dairy Store! The only thing that could make this place better is if they had a version of Red Robin's Banzai Burger. I would definitely recommend you try this place if you are in the vicinity.

I've purchased meat from Hollenbeck Farms before and it is fantastic so I was thrilled to learn about this restaurant that serves up their wonderful products. I had the HF Stuffed Black and Blue burger, and shared a Crave Trio of sides with my dining pal. The burger was delicious as were the waffle fries, sweet potoato fries and the cheese bites. I will be returning to this place again. I was standing outside waiting for my friend to arrive and saw lots of people going into Chipotle and Noodles, the restaurants on either side of Crave. Those people have no taste! I definitely had a better meal than they did at those franchise places. Local food tastes so much better. Even the buns were delicious!

Shocked and disappointed. I love Nebraska beef, it's the best, but crave is doing it wrong. Maybe it's the cook, maybe they are a little TOO proud of there beef, but it is definitely over priced for what you get. I had a bacon cheese burger, a basket of cheese balls, and a beer and it was almost $18!!! Ridiculous. The burger was mediocre (patty was not that big, bacon was thin and greasy) and should not have cost $9, the cheese balls were good, and the beer was local and good (just marked way up). I will never eat at Crave again, one time was too many. Eating local food at import prices... Eventually the client base will wake up and the honeymoon will be over. There is another place in town that does burgers for half the cost and they are twice as good (check out "sips and subs" on Saturdays). Not to mention, buying local beef at the grocery store along with a package of Jisa's cheese and a six pack of lucky bucket beer... You've got about 5 days of a Crave meal for the same price...$18!

Thank You Hollenbeck Farms! For giving me a reason to eat a hamburger again in Lincoln, Nebraska! Coming from the heart of KC, we had a place called Blanc. The BEST (sorry Hollenbeck!) hamburgers in the country! There were many ways I was spoiled while taking up residence on the Plaza in KC, and one sure was the easy access to Blanc. Now, the foolish chap I am, I moved from the South Pointe area to the center of town where we are kings of "good food quickly". I still travel to South Pointe to get my hair cut once every 5-6 weeks, now I will make a trip once every week or two to go to Crave! The food is great. There is something to be said about grass fed beef. I have always said this and people look at me like I want to build a home from hemp and drive a Prius (no offense Prius-ites!). I will take my gas guzzling '29 home, my not to efficient '07 Jetta...and my grass fed beef! Their whole "thing" is that they are completely local. Your burger is served with a Le Quartier bun (made 50 feet away from them) and all of thier food is grown locally. I need not tout the Sweet Potato fries. I do not need to tell you HOW AWESOME THEY ARE! The prices are worth it. Right at $10 for a cheese burger and sweet potato fries. Not everyone can afford this place... which is why its on the south end of town! If youre looking for cheap, classless, gut wrenching, colon clogging food, run across the street and get you a Big Mac, which will cost you more than $10 in long term effects! Though this may not be Blanc, its all I have while I sustain my "tour of duty" in Lincoln. Blanc, I shall return!

Again, I don't give 5 stars to just any place but this place has what it says in te name "Crave" it's got you craving more every time you leave. The burgers hand made from their farm and the fries are very good too. Just try it out for yourself.

Went on a Friday night (mistake in Lincoln). Had to wait in line for food that was cold and tasteless. The acoustics were horrible. For what I got (the portions were small and the food tasteless)...I thought I wasted my money.

I'm honestly surprised to see so many good reviews for this place. We were not impressed at all with the burgers we ordered. They were over cooked and had no flavor. The prices are outrageous for what you get after waiting the 20 minutes to get your food. We really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately won't be going back. Save your money and wait in line a few doors down at Pepperjacks.

If you eat at HF CRAVE and if you EVER eat at a McDonald's again for ANY reason you should be shot and killed.

The reviews comparing Crave to the chain restaurants miss the point. What goes into mass produced ground beef is TERRIFYING (see: nytimes.com/2009/10/04/h… ). It's cheaper for a reason -- it's nothing you should eat. Crave uses local, hormone and steroid-free, grass fed beef, and local cheese and bread too. Given that, the prices seem perfectly reasonable, and the burger size (1/3 pound) is almost twice the USRDA recommended meat serving (3 oz). If you're still hungry, get some sweet potato fries ($2.50 for an amount that served 2 adults and 2 small kids). I am THRILLED to have a restaurant that supports local, high-quality food producers. I don't mind paying $10-$12 for a meal to do it. I'm more of a medium-rare fan myself, so I found Crave's standard of medium-well a bit too overcooked (if safer). I dropped a star off what would have been a five-star for the very LOUD environment With all of those hard surfaces and the narrow room, they don't need the radio so loud. Still, I will happily go back as often as I can to help Crave in business.

Hollenbeck farm natural beef plus Le Quartier bread makes a great meal. This small burger place has hit the ground running. I had to check it out with all the hype and was not disappointed. I stopped by Sunday afternoon on my way back from Lincoln and was impressed. The metal walls, blonde tables and feel was very nice. Wonderful signs surrounded the space proclaiming all natural beef brought in from their own ranch - how cool! My burger, the stuffed blue cheese, was out of this world. Scalding hot cheese oozing with each bite, the moist and buttery bun was the perfect compliment. Throw it all together with a Lucky Bucket lager and I will be be back soon. Way to keep it all in Nebraska! Have to try the Jisa cheese curds next

Juicy, moist and delicious - these burgers, and especially the meat, are really great. We had a swiss cheeseburger and the blue cheese burger (with the blue cheese stuffed inside the meat) with bacon, and a side order of sweet potato fries. This place doesn't do a lot, but it does it well. The fries were the right mix of crispy outside, and tender inside. The burgers were cooked perfectly, and well-portioned. Enough to fill you up, but not so big to feel overwhelming. Everything served is locally grown or made (if possible), so you feel good about eating there as well.

Good, however way too expensive. They need to lower the prices. The average person does not have this kind of money to spend on a place like this. All the extras cost too much. Lower your prices...you were only open 3 weeks and your website menu does not reflect your menu prices at the store. If this place does not lower the prices, they will not have repeat customers.
