The fry dip is awesome. They brew their own beer. My favorite beer was summer shandy. I had a holiday martini cocktail with Kinky and Chambord. I ordered a main dish of mac n cheese with chicken and it was creamy and a good portion for $8 on the lunch menu. Our server even went to the bar and gave us the recipe for making the martini at home. Service was fast and friendly.

One if my favorite places to go!!! This is definitely the favorite hang out for family and friends to go out to eat!!! Service is always amazing no matter the time of day and they are super accommodating of large groups since my husband and I meet all of our friends and family here when he comes home from his military base. BLTA with sweet potato fries is a must!!! And their home made beer cheese everything is good. Love the brunch as well. Will always come back again and again!!!

They changed their spinach and artichoke dip. Unfortunately it is not nearly as good as it used to be. It was the main thing I liked there. It makes my stomach sad.

Our server made great beer recommendations and even let us sample a few of their many brews before we made our selection. I always stop here for the cheese soup but rate it 4 stars because our service was fairly slow. Great place to stop if you have the time!

I'm from down South and my family took me here for lunch the other day. The hostesses were very accommodating and friendly right off the bat. The waiter was patient with members of our party coming in at separate times and very attentive. I ended up splitting some type of Asian chicken salad and the Asian shrimp appetizer with another person at the recommendation of my cousin. The salad was very good with the two dressings and the waiter was kind enough to have them split it on two plates, as well as the soup that came along with it (in two bowls of course). The French Onion soup was very good as well. Because the shrimp appetizer was apparently short one shrimp, they brought us a whole new shrimp appetizer, even though I probably wouldn't have noticed. Not that I'm complaining. It was yummy and we had leftovers! Excellent service and great food all around!

Recently went here for the first time with my girlfriend. She's new to town and I've been here for 10 years, and it was my first time. Everyone has always told me that this place is good, but the food was overpriced for what it was. We went in and signed up for this membership card they have there. If you sign up you get a a giant beer for $5 and the next one is $1. Then you a great deal on their appetizers. The server was great, and very helpful. She did her best to describe their beer selection, but was not old enough to drink, so he level of expertise wasn't exactly the best. We decided to just grab several apps instead of a full meal, and it was worth it. We got wings, the Idaho Nachos, and one of their flat breads. Everything was great, but we ordered the spiciest buffalo sauce and got what we're guessing was mild. We asked the server if we could get the correct sauce on the side, and she brought it out. Later, the manager came out and apologized for the mix up and gave us a few coupons for free apps next time we came in. We were pretty impressed considering it was a pretty minor mix up. I was very surprised by the experience we had that night, and we will definitely be going back.

Food was great. Kendra, our server, was great. We had refills before our drinks were dry. Irish nachos is big enough to feed 3 or 4 people and they are good. Manager introduced himself and gave us cookies and free appetizers on our next visit because this was our first time there. Great place, great food, great atmosphere!
(5)Fazle H.
The food was very good but the service was a bit slow. I ordered the classic cheese burger with provolone cheese. We set outside but it seemed a little weird that the restaurant was in the middle of a mall parking lot.

Granite City, thank you! We had a large group (14 of us) get together after work tonight. We had called to reserve a spot, but there was a misunderstanding about the number. The manager (I unfortunately didn't get his name) not only accommodated all of us without panicking or getting flustered, he provided several appetizers as well for the inconvenience. The food was amazing as always, the staff was very nice, professional and prompt with food and drinks. We get together as a group several times a year - you can bet we will make Granite City one of our regular venues.

Best clam chowder ever! Great service and superior management! Will return again and again !

I've eaten here a couple of times, once before I was gluten free I think I ordered a pasta and it was good and last time we were there was just a couple weeks ago. We were seated quickly and the atmosphere is neat with the brewery viewing window and plenty of in and outdoor seating. Our server was really nice and knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options. I was really impressed that this place had an entire gluten free menu. I've found this allergy can be problematic in the midwest and was relieved to find a place with a menu with more than just "salad, no croutons, no dressing, no happiness". The gluten free menu had a lot of choices including gluten free buns for their burgers and there was no additional charge for any gluten free items. We selected the chop salad with chicken, which we thought was great, and the Walleye fillet with vegetables. The fish was cooked very well and the sauce was really delicious. The couple we were with enjoyed their meals as well and their two little ones shared a kids meal with carrots, pasta, and juice drinks. Price was really affordable as well. We didn't have any drinks so our meal was under 30 for my boyfriend and I. While I agree with many other yelp reviews that the food was not "outstanding" I think for this type of place it was really good. Nothing we ate was bland at all, not even the vegetables. Service was great, atmosphere was good for groups, and as I said...they have a whole menu of happiness just for me. We'll be going back.

This place is pricey. The food is ok. I go for the chocolate cake! It's amazing!
(3)Jacob S.
The food and service (when they actually came to our table) was good. I had the drink called the "flying monkey" and it was very good. I ordered the pecan pork chops, and it tasted pretty good, though it was a little pink in the center. I ended up getting food poisoning from it. And I did end up letting the company know about this so that they could be a little more careful and they directed the manager to me to resolve the issue and see what they could do, and though the higher ups were concerned the manager didn't really care. I don't think I will ever go back here.

I am usually a fan of Granite City in Omaha so I am leaving this at three stars but judging solely on the meatloaf I had here the other night it would be one star. The meatloaf tasted like fake meat or filler, the sauce on top was disgusting, the heaping mound of onion straws were unnecessary and the mashed potatoes were flavorless. Stick with the pizzas and salads here and you will be ok.

Well, I absolutely hate leaving a bad review and I have thought long and hard on how to word this. Lets get the good out of the way as I dont want it to cloud the bad part of this, their gift cards look pretty cool, that is it, that is the only good thing you will find in this review. We go there during lunch on New years day, and get seated right off. 10 minutes later after twiddling our thumbs, here comes this un shaven 20 something year old named Marcos or Thomas, couldnt recall as the service was shit. We opted for Sprite as they only serve coke products, didnt care for beer and didnt really care that they brew their own beers as everyone thinks they can brew their own these days and that should be some special thing to be famous for. A restaurant should be famous for their food, their management, and their service. This place had none of the above. After he took our drink choice, we opted for their Spinach & Artichoke dip as a starter, bad move; barely any spinach or artichoke in it, had plenty of cheese and grease also felt as if it had sat for a moment then put into a microwave to warm it up, we then realize we had no silverware, which I thought was the job of the greeter, so we begin our waiting, ten minutes for silverware! During the making of the appetizer we decided to place our actual food order, I ordered a 1/2 LB burger, the Bedda Chedda (which is two 1/4 patties) and my girlfriend ordered a 1/4 burger, both came with fries and a pickle. The burgers were way overseasoned, the fries way too salty, the pickle tasted like a pickle. My bedda chedda burger was to come with bbq sauce, I asked for it on the side, didnt get it, the burger shouldnt need that much seasoning, especially when you add salty element like bacon to it. When the food deliverer dropped off the entrees she asked if we needed anything, we asked for ketchup. 8 minutes later, no ketchup, finally our server showed up again and we again asked for ketchup. Our server then went a couples tables down and took their order, brought them their drinks and came back our way so we then asked the third time for ketchup and we get it 5 minutes later in a plastic bottle, is it too much to have it there on the table? Upon eating and trying to stomach the overseasoned burgers, your mouth get parched sooner then normal, our server decided we would not be getting sprite as our refill and filled both our glasses with water..........This was the straw that broke the camels back. We asked for check and paid, outside of the gift card it was the worst 17 dollars I have ever spent out of pocket. We wont be back here, not for the beer, and definitely not for the food. 1 star and thats it. Again, I am not one for bad reviews, but this was a circus, horrible food and even worse service. The worst in my book. I am not sure where all these good reviews come from, maybe people too drunk to realize how shitty it really is. I think if a Mcdonalds were placed in this building, you get the same quality of food and service. Very disappointing. People might question why we didnt say anything, whats the point? Nothing would've changed, and nothing will change. It starts at the top, I am sure the management is pretty poor for each facet of this business to be so poor. So do yourself a favor, save your hard earned money grab a six pack of properly brewed beer and a cheeseburger from a fast food joint, you will feel much better then I do right now. Please understand, I love food, I enjoy eating at places, this was not enjoyable.

Originally, our reserved table for 15 at 7:30 was not ready till 8:15. However, after the manager came and apologized I decided to go raise my review by two stars. So far, the waiter has seemed to do as much as possible to give us a different perspective of the restaurant. However, I am not yet convinced that this place deserves a 5 star review.
(4)M H.
Their beers are all amazing and the sampler to try them is really reasonably priced. I also love the Idaho Nachos and their wings (both bone in and boneless) are really good. I love going there for drinks and appetizers.
(4)River H.
Love the food and beer. Servers are excellent and efficient. Managers are reasonable so if you are not happy, ask to talk to the manager. Love the happy hour menu too. We had a good time and will definitely come back.
(5)Jenni G.
Some of the food is pretty good, but they are slacking on their burgers!! Nice restaurant interior, but the food quality isn't as high end.. A while ago our waiter screwed up our order and we were waiting around for over an hour after he had taken our order, to find out that the meals were never made.. Was NOT happy...
(3)Avery M.
Stopped in to pick up food for the family. Colby and Brandon provided solid bartending during my layover. Had a unique concoction with their northern light take on Corona: tasted like a bud light lime.

Sunday Brunch is superb. We went at 11 AM and were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to wait for a table. Prime rib, custom made Eggs Benedict, fantastic bacon and fresh fruit were the highlights for me.
(4)Travis F.
Very good! The pretzel appetizer was AWESOME! So was the Bruchetta Salad. Chicken Alfredo was bland, but overall... good stuff!
(4)Brian M.
Loved the bock! Try the London Broil with Bourbon Glaze and Crispy Fried Onion Straws. Service was awesome. The manager stopped by to make sure out table was enjoying everything, which we were. Idaho Nachos with GC sauce are a must!! Will return!
(5)Rob C.
A spectacular brunch buffet. Enough so that i could forgive Nebraska's refusal to pour beer on a Sunday morning (don't you know that us northeasterners look forward to not having to deal with blue laws when we visit the rest of the country?). Giant, delicious trays of perfect, thick bacon and awesome sausages, eggs, hash browns, waffles, plus lunchy-type stuff like pasta and a carving station. Big comfy booths with enough room for my brother and sister-in-law's brand new little one and his plastic chariot, attentive waitstaff who kept us plied with hangover-killing Cokes. Nothing not to like. Next time i'll have to try the beer, but the brunch was good enough to make me not feel like i missed out that badly.

Negative first-ticket times were SLOW. I have visited Granite City dozens of times when I lived in Lincoln. Now, I live in Phoenix and since returning to this place after nearly 5 years i will say the food quality has improved while the ticket time (time from when the server takes your order to when i actually is served to you) has worsened. Both times, during our visit, we waited nearly 30+ minutes for our food to arrive. Positive-because I had the gumption to at least bring this issue to light, our entire table was given "Buy one entree-get an appetizer compliments of Granite City"! Score! Thank you GC for acknowledging that and making it right. So many times restaurants don't handle complaints well and they definitely did so in this case and therefore the extra star! Next, our server was great which ALSO made up for the slowness. And finally, the food was still fresh and hot which simply told me the kitchen was bogged down and that's just the way the cookie was crumbling for them BOTH times we visited. And thanks to the complimentary apps, we DID come back-it worked. Finally, they have $6 pitchers of their GC Brew every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Brother Benedict's Bock (aka Benny) is my personal fave. All in all this place keeps it real and I always have a good experience. The fact that a place can "make it right" says a lot and I will most definitely return the next time I am in Lincoln.

Now, I am very hard to please. Saturday night's are always crowded ... so we sat in the bar, had a diet coke, and talked. Nice. The wait was worth it since we got a nice booth and a waiter who said he also cooked! Naturally, we asked him what was good and followed his suggestions. The artichoke dip was the low point ... wasn't bad, it was just too cheesy. I had shrimp tacos and my partner has cajun food... it was very good and the wait staff were very pleasant and helpful. I'll go back again. Remember, folks.... if you're expecting quick seating you'll be out of luck. Got to this place and hang loose. You'll be glad you did.

The Sunday Brunch buffet is the best buffet I've ever had, which I know, doesn't sound like an astounding benchmark for a restaurant but there are other things great about it as well. But really, try the buffet. They have interesting salad and appetizer selections. They have a good selection for the health conscious and for the heavy eaters alike. Whatever you order off the menu, it's likely to be a pretty delightful. Why not 5 stars, then? Because, as many reviews have said prior to mine, this is a pretty big chain; a big chain trying to position itself as something very prominent and posh.
(4)Ann E.
I really like this restaurant! I've been here 3 or 4 times and have had a great experience each time. It's a little more expensive than my fiance and I are usually willing to pay for dinner, so it's more of a special-occasion place for us. Like many places, it is a little noisier near the bar, so if you're planning an intimate date, I'd ask for a table away from there. Nice atmosphere, good service, and good food. I recommend the tomato-basil pizza.
(5)Richard H.
Visting family in Lincoln, and I am from Portland, Oregon where there are more brew pubs per capita than any other place on earth. I went in just to taste the brew..... Well, I'm not impressed. The beer was just not that good. They even tried to mix a few brews together to make better beer. These mixes are listed on the menu.... Sorry, guys..... How about making a good beer in the first place, eh? Bottom line: I had better beer at another brew pub in Lincoln.
(2)Brian Z.
Bartenders learned my name early on and have always given excellent service. Solid food, great beers, amazing loyalty program. What more can you ask for?

Eating at Granite City feels like your at a fine dining establishment....but at a fraction of the cost. Don't get ahead of me, the atmosphere and service is like fine dining, the food is not. It's a pretty typical menu you can find anywhere here in Lincoln. I recommend the quesadillas, peppercorn blue cheese burger, and the chopped salad. They are pleasing both to the eyes and the palate. However, I do not recommend some of their appetizers.......the Idaho nachos are basically fries with about 10 slices of cheese barely melted on top and bacon for $10. Not worth it, don't waste your money. They had a great special going on (Wednesday night) for half priced bottles of wine which I have never heard of a restaurant doing. I was surprised to see Moscato on the wine menu (it's one of my favs) so that's what we got for $9. They even do the whole opening at the table, they pour you a little, and ask you to taste it. Fancy, fancy lol. I don't drink beer so I don't know anything about their brews but I have heard good things about them and noticed a lot of people carrying around the giant beer holders they sell and refill for you. The food came out relatively quick, our server was fast and friendly, they had TVs to watch, I can't really complain. The food isn't amazingly amazing, but it is really good and at a great price if you try a few different things out and figure out what you like. This is Lincoln after all, not Vegas. I will definitely be back!
(4)Leif O.
I love Granite City! I usually go for Happy Hour - and when you're a Mug Club Member, you get some extra discounts like bigger mugs of beer for less price and also 10% off your food bill! Went there for their Super Bowl buffet and it was pretty legit!

I must preface that I'm not a drinker so that may be a factor into my enjoyment at this establishment. I should also preface that I might be biased as I had been in a pickle at the time and had no reception so I was able to ask them to use their phone to contact a friend which they graciously obliged. That said onto the actual review... I came here for dinner and it was quite enjoyable. I had three items the Garlic Fries, a bowl of french onion soup and vodka mussels. The highlight of these items would have been the garlic fries though the other two items were done nicely as well. The French Onion was fairly typically though a little heavy on the cheese. Garlic fries were done in the style I enjoy personally which are thin and crispy which may differ from how other people enjoy their fries. The Garlic and Parmesan were placed nicely and had good flavor though a little greasy. Finally the vodka mussels were generally good though there were a couple of questionable mussels that did not open and several others that had cracked shells. So if you are less adventurous than I then you may wish to avoid. Otherwise the flavor was done nicely and the portions were decent. Decor was nice though a little typical of that style of food/brewery. Service was decent though we had come at a later time so the tables were emptying out as we started out. The establishment is a little pricey and the food while done very nicely may be a little more than what others may enjoy. That said however I would still definitely like to return and would recommend it to others as a fairly safe bet.
(4)Gary F.
Waitress was great. Had to send back the soup for a reheat, warm at best. Then the salmon was cold too! Too pricey for the quality
(2)Grace L.
What? I'm surprised at the reviews so far! I liked this place a lot! The Idaho nachos are really delicious and the steak (filet mignon) I had was good. My siblings go to school in Lincoln and they go to Granite City for nicer occasions.
(4)R L.
3 stars for the service. The food was wholly mediocre. I ordered the exceptionally odd Grilled Chicken and Bruschetta Salad, which was a plate full of marinated tomatoes and red onion (good), on top of romaine, with flavorless blue cheese crumbles and sliced black olives and grilled chicken, overdressed with a balsamic vinaigrette. This was serviced with a ring of what I believe the menu described as "Caesar toasts" which was sliced baguette topped with parmesan and caesar dressing. Yes, they were as disgusting as they sound. However, the teen-aged wait staff took good care of my 90 year-old grandfather and his 85 year-old wife, allowing them to split their meatloaf entree (although the two combined could not finish the gargantuan portion). So, 3 stars, as no one should really expect decent food in a mall parking lot, especially from an over-sized chain. But decent service is rare and worthy of starrage.
(3)Ryan C.
3.5 star IMO. Good place if you like micro brews, and I've heard they have amazing meatloaf if thats your style. Haven't tried it yet, but I intend to. I like what they've done with the decor here - dark walls, tile and lots of glass give it a contemporary feel while providing an intimate dinner experience. It was a travesty when they took the vodka steamed mussels off the menu - but I'm willing to give it another shot.
(3)Andy B.
We love Granite City for lunch or dinner. Food is always good. Service is quick and attentive. Favorite is the Cuban sandwich, and if you add waffle fries with gc dip you won't be sorry.
(4)Jules T.
Run of the mill American food. The plus is that they brew their own beer, the decor, and service is nice. Down side that it's a corporation and it's spreading in the Midwest. I've been here a handful of times and I can't remember anything great that I've eaten. I hear the brunch on Sundays are great. Clean bathrooms, good for kids. they have outdoor seating, a parking lot, separated and enclosed smoking area at the bar.
(1)Brian F.
This place has grown on me the past couple of years. My general feeling used to be that there were too few reasonably priced options on the menu to visit often and that the beer was okay, but not comparable to other locally brewed options. While that may be still be a little true today, they have done many things to make a fan out of me. First, the beer has improved both in quality and variety. The seasonals are generally fantastic and the core beers are solid fallbacks. Second, the combination of a mug club membership and happy hour prices puts a 25oz beer in front of you for around 3 dollars. That's crazy! Third, happy hour pricing on appetizers means you can have something to eat with your happy hour beer with out spending a whole Jackson. Finally, our kids love going there (aged 2 and 4) because of their good kids menu and the weekend buffets are delicious.
(4)M. C.
they serve basic american food or americanized versions of other types of cuisine with culinary school flair. this is like the cheesecake factory if the food was edible. actually not just edible, but really good.
(5)J C.
Food portions are large. I like the food. I try to support local restaurants and avoid most chains all together but Im not sure why someone would negatively rate a place just for being a chain. They have good food and great beer. I liek the atmosphere and wait staff is usually pretty good. i would avoid the london broil only thing ive had there I dont like. They have agood beer club deal on monday nights I think.
(3)Jazz J.
Great brews and the BEST Burgers, especially the "Big Show!!"
(5)Jill S.
Service is hit or miss as well as the food, but if you can find a menu item As your go to meal here they are pretty consistent. The trouble is sifting through the stuff that isn't good to find something cravable. The waffle fries and the dip are always good. I recommend the Sunday buffet but try and be on the early side, the prime rib is mostly the left over pieces if your there at 11:30
(3)Bev T.
Love this place!! The food is great. The service is fast and friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained. They offer a full bar as well as their in house crafted beers. Lots of parking available. The French onion soup is very good, but my own personal favorite is the cheesy chicken tortilla soup offered on Thursdays. They are good about accommodating large groups. I can always find something to enjoy here.
(5)Michael P.
Amazing food, service, portion sizes and food! We had the Idaho nachos, the BTA and the beer sampler. It was all delicious. Nice environment, TVs to each the game, and the beer is made on site. We were also told it is a scratch kitchen so everything is made fresh.
