Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I don't understand how anyone would give this five stars. We ordered grab rangoons and I don't think they could fill them with any LESS stuffing. Basically a fried crab Rangoon with out the crab mix. Served with brown rice!?!? Did I need to specify white like every other Chinese restaurant we want white rice? The sweet and sour was decent, but very onion heavy and light in peppers. The garlic chicken slop got was not finished. Two stars was generous. The service was friendly.

No luck finding authentic Chinese in Lincoln--this dining experience was horrible! The peanut butter chicken and General Tso chicken--both "chef specialties"--we're heavily breaded, soggy, greasy and inedible. The hot and sour soup seemed to be out of a can. I can't believe anyone would give this poor excuse for a restaurant a favorable review. This place is heinously bad! My sincerity and review are real. Save yourself from Fortune Palace--it will be the worst Chinese cuisine you will have the misfortune to eat.

Food was delicious. But no fortune in cookie. Dafuq. Amirite? This is my classiest Haiku Review so far.

I don't understand how anyone can not give this place 10 stars this is by far the best Chinese place to eat in Lincoln! Anyone that didn't like their food here is a complete fucking idiot, everything is fresh and made from scratch when you order it, they have the best egg rolls in the city by far and nothing is soggy or cooked before you order it. I have been coming here for YEARS and have never been disappointed in anything I ever ordered.

Went here tonight and had the Kung pao chicken and peanut butter chicken. Good service and no complaints there. The food, while edible, is not tasty. The food arrived too soon to our table. Almost faster than a McDonalds. The sauce was thin and salty on both entrees. Kung pao was not spicy as marked. The veggies were cooked well but the sauce was one dimensional. Overall not good food and I would not return.

I highly suggest the orange chicken if you like sauteed onions and want a meal that tastes absolutely nothing like orange chicken. I hate onions so I was not impressed that the meal was about 1/3 chicken and 2/3 onions. I tried this place out for the first time only because my favorite Chinese restaurant is closed on Mondays. Prior to tasting the food, I assumed that the reviews about how bland the fried was were just an exaggeration however unfortunately they were accurate. The fried rice looked like and tasted like instant brown rice from a box had no flavor. If you want good Chinese food in south Lincoln go to Zhang's.

I would love to give this place 5 stars but I just can't. On one hand, I love the entrees and the egg rolls are to die for. The restaurant seems clean and the staff is friendly. However, there are a few things about this restaurant that I dislike. The first is that their rice is horrible. When selecting steamed or fried to go with your entrée, the fried rice is tasteless, bland and stuck together. It doesn't resemble anything close to the fried rice that accompanies entrees at every other Chinese restaurant, no peas, no carrots, no eggs. With that being said, I know they are capable of amazing, because if you order fried rice as a entrée it's great. I realize that fried rice as an "entrée" will be fresh and taste special, but they could infinitely improve their sides. Even though I like this place, I am shopping for a new restaurant for that reason. Secondly, in my experience, every time I have ordered a to go order- they waited to make it until I got there.

This is the best, most consistent Chinese food I've found in my 40-years in Lincoln. Not any fancy atmosphere, service that is cordial but not friendly (at all) but consistently great chinese food. I especially like their General Tao's Chicken (extra spicy) and their Hot-Spicy Soup. Prices are very reasonable and they have "Family Sized" portions for sharing. They can handle a single or a group of 20 people. Take-out is FREAKY-FAST so if you call ahead don't allow more than 5 minutes--or it will be waiting for you and getting cold!

In my whole life, I have never tasted worse Chinese food. We stopped in this restaurant (based upon the reviews herein) while driving back home from Colorado. Sadly, I do not know whether the other reviewers have never had Chinese food from anywhere else or, more likely, if these are simply shill/sponsored reviews. Nothing was fresh or even passable fare. The egg rolls tasted like they were reheated once a week in the deep fryer over the course of a month and when they were heated on my go-around, the congealed grease would have made you gag. Perhaps, I attempted two mouthfuls of food before admitting defeat. It pains me to write this review, since the entire staff seemed warm and friendly but if you are traveling on a road trip through Lincoln, please do yourself a favor and stop anywhere else. The one thing that I'll agree with is that the food is cheap...but my wife (from China) and I were completely misled by the reviews and cannot offer a single reason to patronize this establishment.

Inexpensive fast, and tasty. My favorite Chinese place in Lincoln.

My favorite chinese place in Lincoln by far! Friendly & professional owners, amazing entrees, best eggrolls in town, prompt take-out service, and reasonable prices. Whats not to like? Highly recommended!

Fortune Palace has the fastest and best chinese food in Lincoln! I have been going there for years, and it hasn't changed other than they expanded. Sometimes when you use "fast" and chinese" people think it will be bad. But it is really good. You walk in and walk up to the counter where you place your order. The menu is right above you. Once you order and pay, you can go and sit down and they will bring your food out to you. Excellent portions and quality, and if you need more than normal you can get it in "family size".

Meh. Nothing stuck out about what I ordered. No crab in the rangoon. Dont call it crab rangoon if theres no crab. Called ahead too but they didn't even pass my order back until I arrived for pick up. That was highly annoying. My search for good Chinese in Lincoln continues.

This is probably my favorite restaurant for cheap Chinese food. I try new things and end up loving everything I try. It's like a secret little place but it's amazing.
