If you haven't tried 9 South Chargrill you are completely missing the boat!! I had the pleasure of having lunch there today and it was amazing!! The atmosphere is very quaint almost like a bistro. The food quality is outstanding!! The service was spot on and the value is there. I ordered their "NEW" Salmon BLT and WOW! it was prepared perfectly. Great portions of salmon that were not over cooked and covered with over powering bacon. It was matched very well. If anything was a little off was the quality of tomatoes, but finding good quality tomatoes in early March in Nebraska is not easy. I can't wait to go back and try it later in spring or summer. Our server Morgan was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, with a bright smile and had a great attitude. She was very nice and I would request her in the future. 9 South Chargrill receives 4.50 stars out of 5. TIP: They are usually very busy for lunch so plan ahead.

I LOVE this establishment. From the food to the service, everything is top notch. I think the breschetta here is the best in town. Hands down. The price is way affordable and portions are perfect. Plus the drinks are outstanding. Terrific selection of wine. I never leave this place without being full and having a smile. Not to mention the building itself has a great atmosphere. If you haven't gone yet, you need to.

We had a coupon for 50% off second entree, but when we walked in and saw the portion sizes we decided to split the Country Pork Ribs. When he brought it out I had to ask if he was sure it was one order. Still couldn't finish my half. Although the food could have been a little hotter, it was very good and cooked just right. It was nice to have a 'real' vegetable (broccoli) included with the meal.

Have been coming here for a very long time. The food is very good. The wait staff are usually great, to the point of tracking me down on Facebook to return my passport card I left behind.

I was excited to finally get to have lunch there, I had heard such great things. Tuesday afternoon around 1230 went in for lunch with two friends. They were understaffed but we were not in a big hurry luckily. Drinks came out & order was taken. 25 min later drinks empty, no sight of out server but we could see our food sitting in the expediting window. We sat & watched 2 people walk past it one start to pick it up & bring it out but then set it back down. Now 40 min into lunch & finally our food. COLD! Once it was remailed things were tasty. Understaffed, underserved & underdressed(female buser had on yoga pants with a huge hole in the back).

We have been here a few times in the past, but our last meal here was, no doubt, the best! It was a great meal with great service! We were the last ones in the place while they were closing as we were finishing up a few drinks and didn't feel rushed one bit! Will continue to come back in the future!!

Came in for dinner on a Saturday, seated quickly and started on some craft beers, always a fan of a place with some variety! We started with the bruschetta, very happy with it. Lots of it for a good price and seemed fresh. I had the peanut butter burger, while it was good, there may have been too much PB as it got thick to chew and swallow and a bit over powering. My companion had the fish and chips and while it was good, the breading got soaked very quickly so it lost its appeal. We finished off with the cookies and cream...so good! Server was excellent and I would come back if I'm on that side of town.

I agree with the other reviews about how good the food is and that this is a unique establishment. But, I need to add that the cook heard that my burger was cooked a little more than I had ordered, even though I had said nothing. I'm guessing that my server mentioned it to the cook. The cook came to the table to apologize for the mistake (even though the burger was still juicy and very good). That's good service.

9 South Chargrill can please anyone. From the grill, to the barbecue, to the veggie options, I loved the variety and couldn't settle on a lunch dish. I ended up with The Jake Burger which was a beef patty topped with pulled pork and barbecue sauce. It was mouth watering. Another thing I loved about the restaurant was that you were able to choose two sides with your entree. I went for the waffle fries (you have to order waffle fries here) and the cole slaw. I enjoyed both of them. The waffle fries are the best around and the cole slaw was perfect (I am a picky coleslaw eater). A friend of mine got onion rings and they were great too. I highly recommend giving 9 South a visit. Also try a Lone Star to drink and see if you can solve the puzzle on the inside of the bottle cap! They don't just have those anywhere. Brat

I went to 9 South Chargrill for the first time with my family, after seeing great reviews on Yelp as well from people around the community. We went on a Husker home game Saturday afternoon--shock from a Nebraska resident, I know, they did have the game on! We started off with the bruschetta appetizer, and it was amazing! The flavors all complemented each other and even my 5-year old half brother enjoyed it. Between the adults we had the Baja Burger, Crab Cake Sandwich and the Peanut Butter Burger. They were all hits as well, we didn't try each others but we loved them. My father has a love for spicy, so the Baja Burger was right up his alley with large jalapeños and a "sauce with a kick". My step-mother enjoyed the Crab Cake Sandwich as well, she was pleasantly surprised for it's not your typical sandwich! Leaving me with the Peanut Butter Burger, after reading a couple reviews about it having "too much peanut butter" I almost passed, but it kept jumping out at me. It was great -- not too much peanut butter but just right. My brother enjoyed his grilled cheese as well, they had good options for children which is always something we look for. All the adults opted for the waffle fries as one of the two sides included. I expected more with all the grand reviews on them. However, they were still great! 9 South Chargrill was a great experience, the only reason for 4 out of 5 stars was because my father ordered a draft beer that the server had to be reminded of. I would highly recommend this restaurant again and I can't wait to go back -- especially for that bruschetta!!

I have been here three times now and have ordered the same damn thing every time. Pulled pork sandwich...Excellent! Sides are good except for the baked beans. They put whiskey in them which makes for a different taste. Service is three stars. ps: I used to get my gas there and now I hope I don't get gas there

If you are looking for a simple, neighborhood meal without pretentious staff this can work for you. In Fight Club terms, clean food. Food was fast but we were not hurried out the door. Will be back.

We've eaten here many times and have always had a good experience. I've always thought that the servers were somewhat stand-offish, but not to the level of pretentious condescension we experienced recently. The server we had at our most recent visit was impatient, distracted, and bothered by our questions. When asking a clarifying question about the availability, he was sarcastic and rude, telling us he actually lied about the choices. Why would he do that? The whole experience went downhill from there. Our food took 45 minutes (we ordered burgers), but when we asked the manager where our food was, he (the server) said (while sitting at the bar folding napkins), "This ain't fast food." Still, others who were seated after us received their more complex entrees before us. We still don't know what provoked the servers' rudeness, his complete lack of professionalism, his catty and sarcastic remarks, or his inability to offer any sort of explanation or apology. His attitude was directed only at us. The manager did offer to comp our entire meal, but we paid because our complaint wasn't with the establishment, just the server. How this person stays employed here, unless he's an investor, is beyond me. I wish I had his name, and a broader forum, to warn others of his caustic demeanor.

Love coming here, it's a nice cozy restaurant with great staff! I love the selection on the menu, it's always so hard to decide what I want due to everything sounding so delicious! The burgers are awesome, I have yet to try the other meals but I'm working on that ;)

I just love this place. It has become that one spot that EVERY time I come to Lincoln, I need to stop at. Service is good, food is great, and the place is always busy. A diverse menu that offers quality made from scratch food for everyone. A must try...

We walked in, and it was packed! They told us 30+ min wait, so we decided to wait. It must be good if this place is non-stop busy. The gentleman at the front, taking orders, seating people, and etc, was awesome. Very sweet, and got us drinks while we waited. We got seated, and our waitress was right there to take our drinks, but we already had one so she brought us waters instead. We ordered our food, it came out pretty quick considering he told us they make all their own food. Pretty awesome. Awesome customer service and really good food! Will be back if we ever come back to WY..

What is not to like? My Philly steak was the best I have had in years, since the very Original Chartreuse Caboose in Lincoln. Wine list is unique, full of flavored, and reasonably priced. Definitely not a cookie cutter place. This is one of the hidden gems one can find when you get off the beaten path. I look forward to my next visit which will be soon.

Country Pork Ribs and BBQ Waffle Nachos. They are customer favorites for a reason. Outstanding. I would have to say that this is one of the best deals and meals in town. Service was great, you get a heaping pile of food with this dish and app. Certainly enough to split with someone and a couple side salads. I will come back. Locally owned to i think.

I love to take out of towners here. It's locally owned and fresh ingredients. The dishes are full of flavor and there is something on the menu for everyone. From sandwiches to pasta to chicken pot pie.

Love the casual atmosphere and size of South. Their salads and sandwiches are excellent. I am a fan of both their buffalo chicken and steak salads. Sandwiches come with two sides, and though I have never had one, the friends I go with really enjoy the steak sandwich and the pulled pork. The "golden rods" (mozzarella sticks) are pretty good, but only six are in an order for appetizers. Service is excellent, prompt with refills. It takes a little while for food to be brought out though.

Moving here from LA, I have had my share of marginal experiences in Lincoln. This place is all that you want it to be. Fresh ingredients and almost everything made in house. Staff very knowledgeable and overly accommodating. This is Lincoln's best kept secret. The GM Suss greeted us with open arms and made sure that our experience was the best. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place.

Local dining places like this couldn't get any better. This was my first time here and the food was absolutely delicious. I just had to get something on their menu that had their signature BBQ sauce, so I got their Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of their Red Potato Salad and Waffle Fries. The pork wasn't dry at all and the BBQ sauce was great. You might need two napkins when you're eating this mouth-watering sandwich, it could get messy. Overall, going with a friend of mine, our server treated us very well. The restaurant played some Black Key's music while we were there which was a plus. Everything went well, I'd definitely go back here and get some more waffle fries on the side.

We live nearby and have been to 9 South Chargrill many times. We have never had an issue with customer service. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and on the ball. We've eaten so many of the menu items, it would take too long to list opinions about all of them. The onion rings are great, and so are the waffle fries. I really like their patty melt, but ask for extra sauce. Otherwise, it's kind of dry. My wife likes the steak salads and fish. I've had their steak a couple of times. It's not bad, but it's also not overly flavorful or charred. I like my steaks with a bit more flavor to them, so I just don't get them here. Everything else is great, though. They have some really good desserts too. It can be pricey, but it just depends on what you get. It definitely has its own atmosphere. The inside can be noisy if it's full, but it's not like you can't hear the conversation. We sit outside whenever the weather allows. It's one of the few unique, non-chain places in Lincoln, and especially on the near south side of town.

This is one of my favorite places to get food in Lincoln. It's fairly inexpensive for everything that you get and the food is delicious. It's one of the rare gems in Lincoln. One of the downsides is that there isn't a ton of places to sit. So, I would recommend getting there early for lunch or supper.

This is an amazing little place. Honestly most people would not expect what is inside of this restaurant as they drive by. It is a great neighborhood gem. I had fish and chips which are made with cod and waffle fries. The fish is amazing. Love the waffle fries too. The other amazing and generous offering is the kids menu. The chicken nuggets are something I would eat. Nice chunks of chicken breast with healthy options such as steamed broccoli. Steaks are very tasty and a great value. Pasta dishes are amazing. And, if you want to substitute, just ask! Very nice! Staff is fun and helpful. My only complaint is that the ventilation makes the restaurant kind of have a haze. I honestly would give this place 5 starts with that fix. Love this place. On a Saturday night I would recommend a reservation.

This is a rare gem in Lincoln. The food is always great. The service is also consistently good. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is a favorite. Also, the hamburgers are excellent. Portions are always generous. If you are looking for a great environment with great food, this is the place.

Great food and excellent service. It gets packed for lunch so it's best to get there just before noon to best the lunch rush. It's a bit small, but there's usually seats right at the bar.

I live pretty close to this place and I don't go often enough. They have great waffle fries and I love that you get two choices of (smallish) side dishes instead of just a giant pile of fries. The grilled shrimp farfalle used to be a favorite, but now I've switched over to trying their different burgers. The peanut butter burger is great as is the baja burger. My only complaint is that I love my burgers medium rare and a couple times they've overcooked the burgers to my taste, otherwise I'd given them another star.

I've always believed the best "review" of a restaurant is given each day by the number of diners they serve. Not everyone is a "foodie" with a blog to write (thankfully) and in the end people vote with their feet, their wallets, and their stomachs....and based on just those metrics 9 South Chargrill is a great food spot. We arrived @ 6:30 p.m. with a reservation for four. We were delightfully entertained and served by Lauren, an East London transplant who arrived in the States less than a month ago. Our food was superb - from the bruchetta appetizer to the main entrees. My only suggestion for improvement would be a better wine list and a bit quicker kitchen. But we'll be back! It's a great place to eat and a packed house on a Tuesday night proves that.

Just moved to town a few days ago and this place caught my eye on Yelp. Everyone's right about the parking lot being tiny, but it wasn't really a big deal -- I just went down the alley and parked on the street. New to town means that I've been doing a lot of dining on my own. I felt guilty about taking up a table when I knew the dinner rush would soon be in, but the host assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and gave me a 2-seater table with a good view of the restaurant. There are two rooms for dining along with some outdoor seating. The place was clean and the decor was nice. Some guys filled the 2 of 5 bar seats and the place was steadily packed (Friday night diners?). I was a little put-off by the flies everywhere, but kept that out of mind. The menu was pretty traditional -- salads, pasta dishes, meat (chicken, pork, beef), and sandwiches. The sandwiches are definitely the crowning achievement, while the meat categories didn't have many options (maybe 3 dishes each). I was attracted to the appetizers and the waiter and kitchen were incredibly nice enough to let me get a half-size bruschetta order. I also settled on the BBQ pulled pork sandwich -- Memphis style, with coleslaw on top, reminiscent of my hometown Primanti sandwiches from Pittsburgh. The waiter suggested it as a specialty, since the place is known for its BBQ sauce. The bruschetta was a little bit too sweet for my taste -- I prefer something more acidic with balsamic vinegar and the bread was a bit butter-heavy rather than a traditional lightly basted crostini. But I ate every bit! The sandwich definitely lived up to its advertisement. Not exactly the sexiest thing to eat, but quite delicious. Waffle fries were a surprise and delightful. Altogether, I'm giving this place 3 stars because while the food was good and I enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, it didn't blow me away. I will definitely come back in the future to try out other sandwiches.

Very good. This was my fourth visit and I've definitely seen some improvements over the years. I ordered the California burger and my husband had the Monterrey Chicken sandwich. I am sure the bread they use is from Le Quartier. If not, it's still higher quality than most other local burger joints. Food was great, though service was on the slow side. I like the atmosphere here, especially if it's nice enough to sit on the patio. Good beer selection, as well.

Delightfully surprised about the improvements in the food since the last time we were here. I had the chicken caprese which was new on the menu. It came with such a hot temperature that I couldn't eat it. The veggies on the side were fresh and cooked very well.. Hubby had tilapia and really liked it. The Summer Shandy beer was very cold, the way we like it and our service was pretty good considering how busy they were on a Saturday night. We did have reservations and used our Living Social coupon, without any trouble. We finished our excellent meal off with the warmed chocolate chip cookie/vanilla ice cream/whipped cream combo which was generous but enough for two people to share. They do have a counter area that you could sit and eat, but it was kind of crowded. There was a bit of a wait, at least 15-20 minutes, for those without reservations. They can accommodate larger crowds or couples.

Actually, 3.5 stars, but you can't give half stars so I rounded up. Whether you're looking to eat light or pig out, this place has both and everything in between. I've been to 9 South several times and have not once been disappointed with my meal. The salads are good, but in all seriousness, I come here mainly when I'm ready to eat something heavy and greasy. Haven't been let down yet. A year or so ago I had the (I believe it's called) Texas Potato; I'd never seen a potato of that size before in my life and may never again, AND it was filled with all sorts of yummy toppings and sauces. Now just this evening, I saw something on the menu I'd not seen before; the Peanut Burger, which is a giant hamburger patty topped with cheddar, bacon, and yes, peanut butter. I raised an eyebrow at that one, but felt like living dangerously so I ordered it. And again was not disappointed. Not sure who comes up with some of the quirky items on the menu, but they are all delicious. So on to the negative facts about the joint. The main drag is that it is located inside of what I can only describe as a half-quonset, half-brick-and-mortar building, painted a tanish and black color on the outside. Not the most appetizing first impression, unfortunately. The inside isn't too badly decorated, but there's definitely room for improvement. Service can be spotty. On more than one occasion I've had to flag down someone who wasn't our server because our real server disappears for long lengths of time. Those are mainly the two downers about the place. OH! Forgot to mention, you might want to steer clear of the dessert menu, I haven't had much luck in that department. One time I ordered chocolate cake and it was mediocre, another time I order the Captain Morgan Spike Cake, and it, well, as my dining partner and friend Greg put it, "tastes like a mouthful of dirt". But all in all, 9 South is a nice local dining spot with phenomenal entrees for a decent price. Would absolutely recommend to a friend, and I would honestly give the place 5 stars if they would only relocate to a more inviting space and they beefed up the dessert menu.

The hubs and I never, and I mean EVER, have a night without our son. We amazingly had tonight free and for date night after much consideration, decided to try 9 South Chargrill. I had read about it multiple times on different sites and as a bit of a foodie, I was really excited! We got there at about 5:45 on a Saturday evening. The "host" told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait. I asked if we could sit at the bar, she gave me kind of a funny look and said, "I guess you can if you want to." As we didn't want to wait that long for a table, we opted for the bar. We ordered the onion rings for our appetizer, and they were good. I really enjoyed the cajun aoli dipping sauce. We were off to a good start! Next came the entrees... The waitress had messed up my order. Now, I have to say, I am super picky and normally request to hold things or add things. I actually ordered right off the menu, no change-ups. She ordered me a completely different meal. Eh, mistakes happen, no big deal. I was polite and asked for the correct dish, and she seemed put out. The person who had actually delivered it was more than gracious though. So, for 15 minutes I watched my husband eating his New York strip. My food finally came, and while the chicken was super hot, the garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm, at best. The chicken was bland. The mashed potatoes would have been excellent if they were hot. My husband said his steak was just okay... definitely not worth the $22.99 we were charged. When I got the check, I was surprised to see that they hadn't even comped by appetizer being that I had to sit there for 15 minutes without food. Whatever. So, food was average, but was way overpriced for what it was. I have to say, I did really enjoy sitting at the bar, as we got to watch the kitchen staff work. As huge fans of Hell's Kitchen, it was pretty cool! Oh, and the people watching is excellent. They have an eclectic crowd.

Great lunch spot but woah, they need a bigger parking lot. Fun staff, tasty food - I recommend!

Parking is scarce, food is greasy and overpriced, service is lethargic and the restaurant is crowded and noisy. I like the idea of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with an upscale menu, I like their drink selection, and I like the location - but this place misses the mark - leaving me disappointed and about 10lbs lighter in the wallet each time. Don't think I'll be back.

I've been here three times. Each time I go, I expect it to be better than the last. The place is sort of cramped with just OK service. What bogs me down about 9 South Chargrill is the disappointing food. Actually, the food is almost gross. I've had the duck, two different burgers, and a forgettable fish dish. It's hard for me to agree with people who seem to enjoy this place. After going back a few times, I've realized my trips aren't outliers. My duck was over cooked, my Cali burger had nasty premade guacamole and just tasted off. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place unless you're grabbing just a beer.

I have always passed this place on my way here or there and as it looks like a gas station remodeled into a restaurant, I have always passed on it. To be quite honest, I never even really paid attention to what the name was. My fiance and I have one of those entertainment books and we fumbled through coupons for places in Lincoln and pulled out a coupon for 9 South. We pulled up and immediately thought "this place?" But we gave it a try anyway. Upon walking in, we were both completely surprised. It is definitely different on the inside. The menu is a wonderful cornucopia of promises and we really could not decide what we wanted. Luckily it wasn't a "rush" time so we took our time deciding. We were told they were out of the duck, which I thought was odd being that it wasn't even quite dinner time yet. (4pm) I settled on the overstuffed potato with a cup of the home made chili. That home made chili is wonderful. It's not spicy at all, but does have a bit of a "different" taste to it. I could have swore there was beer in it but we were assured there wasn't. Odd, but in a very delicious way. The potato was just as good and so big that I couldn't finish. My fiance got the chicken pot pie. Well, it's not quite a "pot pie" more like a bowl of what would be in a pot pie with a very weird puff thing on top. My fiance said he could do without the puff but the rest was delicious. He is a very picky eater so that's kind of a good sign. He is also a big eater (3 whoppers each trip to burger king) but he couldn't finish his meal either. He did take the left over to work for lunch and he NEVER takes restaurant leftovers to work for lunch, it really says a lot. The service was good but I don't really like to judge service when we are the only table seated, it's not really a fair assessment. We both look forward to a few more trips as there are so many more things on the menu that we really want to try out. Also, for what you get the prices are really great. I also noticed the wine prices weren't half bad either and they do have some great choices, but alas...not my favorite all around wine which would have been great with both of our meals. I would give this 5 stars but I'm sorry, the exterior of the building is just really off putting. Like I said, I would never have stepped in this place if it wasn't for that entertainment book as it really looks like a dirty dive on the outside.

Great little dive! Good home cooking! Had a peanut butter burger with a chocolate shake. The burger was surprisingly really good! But the malt shake was on another planet. good place to go in lincoln

I just ate at 9 South on Thursday for lunch. The best way to sum it up is - pretty good food (I had the chicken salad sandwich, waffle fries and baked beans, my husband had the bbq pulled pork sandwich, onion rings and potato salad), good prices if you order a sandwich ($ 7.99 a piece for us) and the servers were on top of it. We came a little before the lunch crowd but I can see how it would fill up quickly and parking is limited. My husband loved his pulled pork sandwich. I liked my food, especially my fries. Chances are though, I won't suddenly have cravings for 9 South. Good, not special.

I had dinner with a friend at this new addition to Lincoln's restaurant scene on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is a small but quaint place in the newly developed west South Street area. My friend and I decided on a late dinner so we could enjoy 9 South's patio (which is quite delightful). I recommend the patio and a glass of sav blanc on a warm summer evening! The menu is fairly standard American comfort food, with a few special twists. I had the parmesean encrusted tilapia with mashed potatoes. The portion size was quite large--I didn't finish it all. The fish was a bit overcooked for my taste. There are probably better ways to cook this dish rather than dropping it in a deep fryer. I think it should be back to the drawing board on this one! The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I've had. They were certainly fresh and I enjoyed the large portion. My friend had the chicken ceasar salad. Hard to mess that one up! He enjoyed the salad. The portion was again large. Sadly, the service was rather sub-par. I'm not sure if it was the late hour of our arrival (about 8:15pm) or something else, but the server was clearly annoyed by our presence. If I could rate the service, it would get a 1 star--maybe. On a side note, other servers were quite pleasant and did stop by our table to make sure we were ok or to remove dishes. I think 9 South has some great potential. This is one of Lincoln's only gay-owned restaurants and the owners certainly have their work cut-out for them. I hope the menu continues to evolve as the chefs experiment with new ways of preparing comfort foods. The prices are a bit high for Lincoln--which might be this place's downfall considering its location and, likely, limited customer-base. I will go back and enjoy the patio, a glass of wine and maybe find my favorite dish on the menu. Give 9 South a try!

Had dinner and drinks with some friends here. Nice atmosphere, good service, and excellent food. Rock solid.
This is one of my preferred places to eat in Lincoln. The food is sort of Southern foodie-ish and generally good, though a few items can be hit-and-miss -- the reuben sandwich is good, and they have a fantastic pasta-and-chicken dish, though the tomato-and-cheese sandwich isn't very good. They do serve sweet tea, which I'm fond of, and have a decent beer selection. This is also one of Lincoln's few obviously LGBT-friendly restaurants. It is a very small location -- looks like a converted gas station -- and has very little onsite parking, so come early.

I was very pleased with my first visit for lunch. I liked that the menu seemed simple but offered many good choices. Everything looked good and it was hard to choose. the service was good and we got served in a timely manner. i had the chicken sandwhich with onion rings and cottage chesse. The chicken was moist and the onion rings were just how I like them. I will return.

I only give a 2 STAR review because this place is worth of 4 or 5 but the protion sizes are way to SMALL for the price. I found this place off restaurant.com and got a $25 gift certificate for $10.00 but LUNCH for 2 with 1 appiziter and no Alcohol was OVER $50.00. Don't get me wrong the food was GREAT but an appitizer should either be more food than an entree and cheaper not more than an entree and less food! Also the backwards capped waiter with attitude did not play a part in the rating but should be noted.

Okay. I finally tempered my resentment enough to get me through the doors again. What did I find? Good food. Slow but mostly friendly service. If I lower my expectation of the experience and just focus on having a really decent meal, this is the place. As long as I'm not in a big hurry.

I like this place for a nice weekend lunch. Food is tasty and it is nice to be able to sit outside. We usually get the brushetta as an appetizer. I love the tomato part of this but the bread is pre sliced pieces of toast served separately. They have really nice pasta dishes. I think my favorite is the pasta Napoli. I love their spinach Alfredo that they use. It makes even heavy cream sauces seem fairly light. Some of their food seems to be from packages and not freshly made such as their onion rings. I think that this place could really be awesome if they cut their menu down a bit and did just a little more home made food.

I'm big on trying new restaurants but this is the place I keep coming back to. Very traditional American eatery menu but much, much better preparation than normal. I've ordered probably 10 different items and all has been excellent. Nothing extremely outrageous. Just delicious, reasonable, American food and drink.

Nothing but Great food and wait staff excellent place to eat. Will definitely stop agsin!

Descent pricing little high on steaks service was great no many seats ranch is Kraft kinda disappointing but owner was there we enjoyed it will go back
(4)Jason S.

(4)Mike S.
I have been here three times now and have ordered the same damn thing every time. Pulled pork sandwich...Excellent! Sides are good except for the baked beans. They put whiskey in them which makes for a different taste. Service is three stars. ps: I used to get my gas there and now I hope I don't get gas there
(4)Lee G.
This is the first time coming here, we are heading home from Cali.I must say this is a great place to stop in and eat, everyone was nice , the prices good and friendly and the food was great
(5)Jay C.
If you are looking for a simple, neighborhood meal without pretentious staff this can work for you. In Fight Club terms, clean food. Food was fast but we were not hurried out the door. Will be back.
(4)Steve S.

The burgers are awesome, I have yet to try the other meals but I'm working on that ;)
(5)Royal B.
I just love this place. It has become that one spot that EVERY time I come to Lincoln, I need to stop at. Service is good, food is great, and the place is always busy. A diverse menu that offers quality made from scratch food for everyone. A must try...
(4)Andrea A.
Had our first date here and I've loved it ever since. The waffle nachos are as decadent as they are delicious.
(5)Crista H.
(5)Travis W.
(5)Carly L.
Great service and great food everytime we've been here. Tried somthing new everytime and I'm always impressed.
(5)Nathan F.
(4)Bethany W.
I love to take out of towners here. It's locally owned and fresh ingredients. The dishes are full of flavor and there is something on the menu for everyone. From sandwiches to pasta to chicken pot pie.
(4)Katie F.
(4)Laurel C.
(5)Eliza N.
(5)Jon S.
(4)Laura G.
This is one of my favorite places to get food in Lincoln. It's fairly inexpensive for everything that you get and the food is delicious. It's one of the rare gems in Lincoln. One of the downsides is that there isn't a ton of places to sit. So, I would recommend getting there early for lunch or supper.
(5)Cheryl N.
(4)Sean P.
This is a rare gem in Lincoln. The food is always great. The service is also consistently good. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is a favorite. Also, the hamburgers are excellent. Portions are always generous. If you are looking for a great environment with great food, this is the place.
(5)Jason B.
Great food and excellent service. It gets packed for lunch so it's best to get there just before noon to best the lunch rush. It's a bit small, but there's usually seats right at the bar.
(5)Susanna H.
Everything on the menu tantalizes. Make sure to try the waffle fry nachos!! To die for!
(5)Katie B.
(3)Tom D.
(4)Laura F.
Awesome food I ordered the loaded baked potato with steak on it sooo good
(5)Caitlin H.
(3)Alexis A.
(4)Mary F.
(4)Wade C.

(2)Jessica J.
Great lunch spot but woah, they need a bigger parking lot. Fun staff, tasty food - I recommend!
(5)Ryan C.
(2)John R.
(2)Lelay P.
Awesome sauce for everything. Food is good. Price is okay.
(5)Jonette W.
(4)Cameron M.
Great little dive! Good home cooking! Had a peanut butter burger with a chocolate shake. The burger was surprisingly really good! But the malt shake was on another planet. good place to go in lincoln
(3)Laura C.

(3)Charles G.
Had dinner and drinks with some friends here. Nice atmosphere, good service, and excellent food. Rock solid.
(4)DIANE W.
this place is so so so good. the staff was great, the food was great and the ambiance was perfect. we had a variety dishes in our party; Cheeseburger and fries,Country Pork Ribs and baked potatoes, Chicken Tortellini and Chicken Fricassée . Not one complaint about the food, and how can you screw up a diet coke? This will be added into our weekly rotation of places to go for sre

The service is usually slow, but the food is pretty good.

Food was good, server was courteous. I was floored that we waited about 10 minutes to be seated because there were tables that needed to be cleaned off but the staff was too busy sitting at the bar, watching tv & eating!
