I am visiting my sister in Nebraska and we decided to get carryout here since it's pretty much the only restaurant in town, literally. I have eaten here on previous visits (when the town had 2 restaurants) and always enjoyed it. It has classic Mexican restaurant decor, brightly colored wooden chairs and painted murals on the tables. The staff is friendly and greeted us right away when we walked in. The food is good, which surprised me since this is the middle of nowhere Nebraska. I didn't expect to find any authentic Mexican food here. They have an extensive menu, but I ordered the same thing I got last visit, Camerones a la diabla. Last time I had asked if it was spicy, and the guy thought I wanted it not to be. I had told him I liked it hot, which was a big mistake. Again, being from New Mexico I am a chile snob and thought it wouldn't be very hot. I was wrong, it was HOT! It was almost inedible, I had to rinse off the shrimp after a few bites so I could continue eating. This time, I asked if they could make it less hot. It was more mild than I would normally prefer, but after last time I was thankful for this! It had a good flavor and was more than enough to fill me up. It was served with beans and rice, and also came with tortillas and chips & salsa on the side. The salsa is served cold and wasn't spicy at all. It isn't bad, but isn't great, either. Prices are affordable. I'm was wavering between 4 & 5 stars, but I can't really think of a good reason to withhold any stars. I wish they had an online presence so I could review the menu and call in an order. I requested a to-go menu, I thought I would post it here, but the font is 6pt. Maybe 4pt? Ridiculously small! Overall, if a town only has one restaurant, this is a pretty good one to have!
