Soooo much food & sooo good!! Not too expensive either. I got full off of half my entree so I was able to take leftovers home, which I was pretty excited about. The salad comes in a huge mixing bowl...it was so cute! Steak and bacon-wrapped shrimp were amazing! I would definitely return if I didn't live so far away...

We had a party of nine for supper, got seated after a minute or two for them to put a few tables together. Our waitress was great and very friendly, there was a mixup with the bill but she corrected the mistake with a smile. This a very informal setting, hence the peanut shells on the floor. I agree with others regarding the size of the side salads, they are bigger than many full sized dinner salads I have had elsewhere. The salads were very good although I cannot recall what dressing I had. For entrees I had the NY strip which was perfectly cooked and fairly flavorful. My wife had the prime rib which she ordered medium but came out closer to medium rare, it had decent flavor but could have been more tender. The other people felt their entrees were very good also. The place is a bit overpriced but I feel the friendly service makes up for it.

I'm having fa hard time with this review, restaurant is old style fun, like 1970-80's. Food really good, only issue was my bone in filet came out very rare, ordered medium rare. The four stars was a redemptive payback after the manager or owner gave me a replacement steak without any grief. This is a sign of a class act establishment.

Excellent dinner. Nebraska rib-eye was excellent, love the "make my own salad" and baked potato tasted, well, like a genuine potato! One of the best steak dinners we've had in recent years. Yes, place is noisy but it fits.

We were traveling to colorado & stopped in Grand Lake for our hotel break we used yelp & found this oldie but goodie (33 years old) the decor is old saloon I loved the old red coat tufted leather booths the create it yourself salad was great you choose on a piece of paper what you would like it comes out in a big stainless steel bowl ice cold yum then ed & I order bacon wrapped shrimp huge gulf shrimp wrapped in local bacon & grilled to juicy perfection I had the ribs sauced then grilled total yum the baked beans were top 3 I've ever had, Eddie had the sirloin it was succulent & beautiful but our waitress was so cute bubbly flirty & smart what a sweet meha I totally feel in love if you ever are traveling on 80 stop at the grand lake exit & try this place you will love it totally!

Found this on Yelp. Definitely worth the 8 min drive from the interstate. Salad sides are huge and very tasty. We has the strawberry pecan salads. Steak melts in your mouth. The bucket of peanuts on the table help fight the initial hunger.

Diamond in the rough! We ordered the "salad your way", fillets, bacon wrapped shrimp and sides. The salad was cold, crisp, fresh served with dressing on the side in stainless steel bowls large enough to toss your salad with your choice of dressing. One of the best steaks I've had, tender, flavorful and grilled perfectly, shrimp was delicious. Best of our sides were the baked beans, had a little kick! Don't pass on the yeast rolls with cinnamon butter, served shortly after you are seated! Staff was very pleasant. Would definitely have dinner there again if we find ourselves going through Grand Island on another trip

Because of Yelp reviewers, we stopped at Texas T Bone at noon. To our surprise the doors were locked. Fortunately, a gentleman from next door, Bennett's Sports Bar and Grill, came out and told us that Bennetts was owned by the same people as the Texas T Bone. Today was Bennett's first day of business. They had opened a new restaurant along side the other. The server told me that the food is pretty much the same, except the serving sizes are smaller and less expensive than T Bone. When I say smaller, I want to add that they are still large. I forgot to ask if Bennett's is open for dinner or just lunch. I was told the Texas T Bone is still open for dinner. The food was delicious and service was great even if it was their first day open.

Great steak, moist and tender. Vegetables were out of a can. This is another restaurant in Nebraska that does not serve corn. You natives may not like seeing it on the menu, but us travelers would like to get some fresh local produce......

This place reminds me of a steakhouse straight out of a western movie. Country music playing along with videos on the wall, a bar, a menu stock full of meat and potatoes, and buckets of peanuts in the shell on the table. The kids thought it was super cool to get to throw the peanut shells on the floor. I had a salad and should have stopped there. The salad was served in a HUGE stainless mixing bowl! It was definitely a meal or two in itself. I also had some shrimp on a skewer. It was very good, but I still should've stopped at the salad. Definitely a great place for the family to dine. The noise level was a bit high when we were there, but we happened to go on a night when there were several large parties.

My husband and I received a gift card for Valentines day for this steakhouse and had been eagerly anticipating having the time to go. We finally went today and we were very dissapointed. First the peanuts and salad were terrific. If you just wanted to live on peanuts and salad, this is definitly the restaurant for you. When the rolls were served, my husband asked for regular butter as he does not like cinnamon butter, we assumed the waitress forgot to bring it but lo and behold it showed up with his ribeye after the salad course. I ordered the smothered chicken and a loaded baked sweet potato. The chicken was good but the sweet potato was hard inside and very little toppings, very dissapointing as this is what I had been looking forward to. My husband ordered a 15 ounce ribeye medium well. The one side was burned and it was about one third fat and gristle. We did not see the waitress after she brought our meal to us. We never received a refill on our drinks and only when we were done did she come up and ask us how our meal was. When I complained about my sweet potato and my husbands steak she just shrugged and said sorry and then left to get our bill. No adjustment was made to the bill. We paid the entire amount including the upcharge for the "loaded" sweet potato. We will probably go to Texas Roadhouse on our next visit as we have eaten at the one in Lincoln in the past and have been very satisfied. I think this place will have a hard row to hoe when the new steakhouse opens and it will give them a good run for their money.

HUGE salad, good steaks, and a very pleasant waitress made this a great dining experience while traveling out here recently. Neat place, keep it up!

Grand Island was a good stopping point for us on our way east. We asked the desk clerk at the motel for a recommendation and she referred us to this place. This is the genuine article - a steak house like I remember from my childhood. Loud country music playing, a bar serving beer mostly, and meat to the max. Each table has a small bucket of peanuts in the shell. The tradition is to just toss the shells on the floor. My wife had prime rib with grilled vegetables. The 10 oz portion was less tender than she is used to, but she ate it all. She began with a bowl of chili, made she was sure in-house and not from a can. Well spiced with chili peppers and cumin and made with pinto beans. I had a top sirloin steak with garlic and musrooms and a baked potato. Baked potato is $2 extra; other sides are available and included. We were too full to even ask if there was a dessert menu. My wife had a house merlot - an adequate vin ordinaire was her verdict. My steak was so good, it was ambrosia. Definitely recommended. 5 stars if it wasn't so noisy.

I ordered the filet and I don't know if it was just a bad cut, a bad cow, or a bad day at the restaurant, but there was gristle in the filet - where did that come from? The spicy baked beans were outstanding, though. And I enjoyed the salad. What can you do... visited on a business trip on 6-15-11.

The food is HUGE. I would have been full off of a salad. I had a burger and could only eat half of it. The peanuts on the table are the best.

service great. Food outstanding - best steak in a long time.

Steak is genuinely my favorite food of all time so needless to say I have had many of them in my day. In my opinion most restaurants can't even come close to what can be done on a simple charcoal grill at home. All of that being said Texas T-bone has simply the best cuts of meat you can get and they cook them right. I ordered the twenty ounce Ribeye with a baked potato and was blown away with the quality of the meat and how it perfectly it was cooked. I noticed Grand Island has Texas Roadhouse that's opening soon but let me tell you as a long time lover of Troad, Texas T-bone has nothing to worry about .

Texas T bone is the best place around. I have not found a place in Lincoln or Omaha that is good as Texas T bone. They have a awesome menu at reasonable prices. The salad that comes with the meal is a meal itself. You get to choose from a long list of item's of what you would like in your salad. My companion loves 32 oz top sirlion for $25.99. I love the bacon wrapped shrimp and the ribs. The only thing I dislike about the place is the music they play. However the food is so good that the music is tolerable.

The salad "your way" is genius... And mine was delicious. These come with your steak, yet will be enough food for many light eaters. My top sirloin was ordered medium rare and came out utterly perfect. I mean it. The doneness was spot on. There was no gristle. All fat was trimmed. Pure beef ecstasy. My tasty little side was a pile of deep fried green beans. Delicious. My waitress was attentive and almost a bit formal. It cracked me up... There are peanut shells on the floor, after all! ;-) But I liked it. I came in late (830pm) and was the last customer to leave after waiting out a helluva storm before going out to eat. This meal certainly hit the spot.

It's in a strip mall, but don't let that deceive you. Just down the road apiece from the State Fairgrounds, country music videos are playing at just the right volume- not too loud and adds to the ambiance of the place. A small pail of "in the shell" peanuts greets you at the table- go ahead and throw the shells on the floor like you do at home. I ordered the 14 oz T-Bone steak with the create your own salad with "3 throw ins". As some of the pictures show, you can pick what you want in your salad and mix it in yourself upon arrival at the table. (sliced avocado is $1 extra). There are 24 oz T-bone and 16 oz Prime Rib selections but I wanted to sleep that night. The steak was delicious and tender; the baked potato was just right.

Excellent service and the steaks are melt in your mouth. Appetizers are tasty and large portions too. Excellent margaritas!!!

I came here for dinner with three others around 6:30pm and there were a bunch of people already eating there. We sat at a table and there were peanut shells everywhere on the ground. I guess nobody cleaned those up until later. All three of us wanted some steak so this was a good choice on our end. This restaurant was in a small outlet that had a non-stand alone Burger King which I never saw before. There was a bunch of parking spots left but could definitely fill up. The menu had a lot of selection and everything sounded good to me. I decided on the 15oz Ribeye steak ($23.95) with Mashed Potatoes with brown gravy sauce and Chili. For $2 more, I wanted to add the Burgundy Mushroom sauce but the waitress never heard of that before. She wrote it down but it didn't sound like they knew that was even on the menu. We waited a few minutes before our soup or salad came. The Chili was just okay and I definitely had better chili before. It was still good as an appetizer to fill your stomach with something. The bread provided to us was good but I wanted to save some room for my steak. The 15 oz Ribeye steak came out along with the mashed potatoes. There was no Burgundy Mushroom sauce on my steak but I didn't want to wait for that to be fixed. By itself, the steak was very good in my opinion. I enjoyed it a lot and if there was the Burgundy Mushroom sauce on top, then it might have made it even better. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were not very good. It had a weird taste to it like it wasn't fresh or it wasn't really potatoes. The gravy was okay but that couldn't save the mashed potatoes to me. Everything was okay at best but the steak was pretty good and that bumped up the rating for me. This place would be great for anybody who loves steak.

Food was excellent the the ribs are some of the best that I have ever had the server was new and very inattentive to our group she needed more training and it was a Monday night football game and we were ready to drink some beer until the game was over but we left before the end of the first half service was lousy overall

Came here for dinner on a cross-country trip. It's not a fancy place - it is a roadhouse after all - but the steak was very good. The little biscuits with the cinnamon butter are super good! Got the New York strip and a side salad. The strip was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. They mis-filled my salad order, though, and the waitress was sort of flighty. As for sides, the baked potato was excellent but the grilled veggies were only mediocre. All in all, if I lived nearby I'd probably come again, but I won't travel out of my way to go back.

I'll give it two stars for the friendliness, but that is about it. Initial ambience was ruined by the smell of pee in the atrium entryway. The place is decent looking but not great; quite a few TVs but all small old tube types. I had the Bone in Ribeye special. It was $27 for a 20 oz steak, a side, salad, and 3 shrimp. My biggest gripe, which I have seen repeated before: When one person orders a well done steak and the other medium rare, put the bloodier steak on after the other! My steak came out luke warm at best. I think most people, who like a bloodier steak, also want it piping hot. The place was not very busy and we were the second table to order since they opened. Really, just no excuse. I know the ribeye is not a great cut, but mine was probably 1/3 fat. The salad was not bad - nothing to write home about. It was served in a metal mixing bowl which was not really aesthetically pleasing. The side of grilled veggies was done very well. The free peanuts and bread eliminate the need for an appetizer. With a single Rolling Rock bottle and a little extra for Avocado on my salad, the total was $34, then $40 after the tip. This was in no way a $40 meal in terms or quality. The manager came by a few time to see how things were. Usually, I would pipe up and let someone know of the shortcomings, but in this case I was simply too tired to explain it all. Plus, how do you tell someone their foyer smells like pee? Next time I am in Grand Island, I will try to find something better.

Highlight: "Within 2 minutes of receiving the ice cream the hostess guy asked us to move it along"!!!! I went here because I heard I few people say that it was great. It was FAR from great and I went twice just to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. I was very disappointed. I had brisket and chicken- the brisket was so dry it was almost inedible without washing down every bite. My guest had their pricy Texas sized prime rib which was cooked well done when they ordered medium rare- sent it back and got another well done steak. Both were utterly flavorless. Kids had their meal- so when our waitress finally came by we asked for the check and the ice cream that came with the kids meal. Check came 10 minutes later. Ice cream came 15 minutes later! Within 2 minutes of receiving the ice cream the hostess guy asked us to move it along because he had people waiting.... WOW... ~However, if you go there for a salad, there is a very good range of options and they serve enough for 2-3 people. Oh, and did I mention it's dark and dank there?

Great food. Don't order too much though. The salad alone is enough to fill up on. I ordered the house salad, 15 oz ribeye, loaded baked potato, and added the grilled veggies for balance. The salad comes in a mixing bowl and I was full by the time I got to the bottom. They give you a worksheet to fill out if you want to customize your salad toppings. They have a large assortment but I skipped that and asked for the usual house. The grilled veggies are a welcome sight as I love them but have a hard time finding them outside of home. They are a little sweet and come on skewers. Excellent! The steak was wonderful. I ordered medium-rare but it came a little closer to medium. But that didn't make it any less juicy. No complaints here. And the potato was better than the ones I am used to in Idaho. Overall, a little pricey. But if you order smart and don't over order like I did, it would be a great price for such good food.
