Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My friend Brock (Noah's brother) and I went out with brocks wife tonight and we had seen the all you can eat pasta placard on the table and Brock got super excited. We were told it wasnt available since last night and we got super disappointed.. That's when Sean came out to us and honored the all you can eat pasta which was super nice and we appreciate it. Just wanted to write how we are thankful. Thanks olive garden. Yummy as always.

Went for lunch on Labor day around 12:30. Were told it would be a 15 minute wait, it was closer to 25. Waitress was very friendly and prompt and she returned to the table several times during the meal. Food arrived quickly, we got exactly what we ordered . Will more than likely go back.

Oh the speediness of the service! Lack of, that is. Water should always be brought when a server comes to introduce himself/herself, or at least within a couple of minutes of it. It took a while to even get our waters, and our drinks took nearly 15 minutes...even the beer on tap. Yes, it was a busy Friday night when we went, but how long could it take to set some breadsticks on the table while everyone was waiting on their entrees? A long time, apparently. When our breadsticks and salad finally came, we realized we didn't have any silverware. Mentioned that to our server, she said she'd be right back with it..........Not. After a few minutes we ended up getting up and getting our own silverware so we could start on the salad. The entrees finally came a good while later -- good food, but oh so slow. If business is booming, hire more part-timers. And seriously, set the damn tables unless you want everyone eating with their hands.

This was a disappointing evening out. After waiting over 20 minutes for breadsticks, the ones we did get were hard after 3 minutes. Good thing I had soup to put them in. Finally the entrees. Wow. You could seriously tell that these were microwaved and sat in the service window until the server picked them up. The plates were a mess, with sauce drips caked to the sides and even underneath. I had the chicken alfredo and the sauce developed a "skin" type texture, and another guest at the table, their ravioli looked like plastic discs, with almost a glow-like light to them, from the microwaving. Our refills took quite awhile and when we did get them, the empty glasses were just left on the table, adding to the clutter, along with the dishes from the soup and salad. To top it off, after mentioning to our server that someone at our table was celebrating their birthday tonight, she informed us that Olive Garden does not recognize patron's birthdays and that their is a newsletter we can sign up for, to bring back next year. Sorry, Olive Garden, but you won't be seeing us again.

I usually go to the Olive Garden in Omaha and had never had a bad experience there so I expected the same in Grand Island. It was the first time my mom had been to Olive Garden. I am ashamed that I suggested we go there after our experience. We were sitting for quite awhile without even being acknowledged by the waitress. Then when she did come over, she went on about how new she was at all this and it showed. The salad and bread were served before we got our drinks. I ordered iced tea which was very sweet. When I said something, another employee came over with another iced tea saying I may have been given a peach tea but she assured me this tea was not sweet. It was still too sweet to me. Probably the biggest disappointment was how hard the breadsticks were. I would not recommend this location to anyone, In fact, the next time I have an Olive Garden craving, I will drive the 2 hours to Omaha where I know I will have a great dining experience. I am just sad this location couldn't measure up.

Went to kill some time and have drink. It was a busy Friday night but aren't they all? Went to the bar which was partially full. Got a table and waited to be acknowledged. The main waitress had her hands full at the time as one of her tables just had its food come out. She of course made sure everyone had their dish and asked if they needed anything else, they did so off she went. Came back and they were set. It had been almost 10 minutes at this point and she saw us and asked if we'd been helped. We of course told her no to which she replied by calling over to the bartender and asking if she was going to wait on us. NO! The bartender shouted back. Well ok... The poor girl then apologized and took our order. I got an Italian Margarita and my husband a Coors in a tall glass. Once again we waited. Our waitress had 3 full tables to take care of and the bartender had 6 people at the bar. Another 10 minutes go by and no drinks... Waitress again acts shocked when she sees us with nothing. Apologizes again and checks on them. It seems they are out of tall beer glasses at the moment so instead of letting us know and giving the option of getting a short now they have us wait. At this point I'm about to send my husband to talk to a manager. Here they come. So it was almost a half of an hour just to get 2 simple drinks. The bartender by the way was making new drinks for the people sitting at the bar who already had drinks that were almost gone. And even poured a taster glass of wine for a customer who was standing up and about to leave. My Italian margarita was good though.

Ate at plenty of Olive Gardens in the past. This was a disappointment. Slow service. Food came out that was not up to normal standards for the chain. Got excuses about the quality of the food. At least they took the poor food off the bill and gave dessert for free. Won't be back to this particular restaurant and will avoid other Olive Gardens for a long while.

We went to the Olive Garden over lunch during the week. They were very busy. Some of the seating areas are poorly designed. The salad and breadsticks were by far the best part of the meal. I ordered the Tuscan chicken off of the 2 for $25 menu. It had good flavor but the chicken tasted like a store bought chicken patty. The cheesecake we ordered for dessert also tasted store boughten. Service was acceptable.
