Simple old fashon place to eat. Everything is cooked to order, so it takes a little bit for your food ( it's not McDonalds ). Staff is always friendly. 3rd time here and I'll be back!

Horrible decor with plastic tablecloths from 1977. Chicken fried steak like dog food. Dry yet fatty beef brisket that was obviously cooked several days ago and then microwaved. "Party potatoes," which are boxed mashed potatoes. Green beans from a can. The "Corny Bread" is a days old tiny dried up corn bread muffin probably bought in bulk. That's what you can expect from this restaurant. I can see why it's the lowest rated restaurant in the Fremont area. With a menu that has over 200 items, there's no chance that any of the food will be cooked fresh. Every thing is frozen, canned, or prepared days ahead of time and warmed up. It is not even close to being worth the prices.

Not overly impressed with the food or staff. My steak was ok, but I've had better. Doubt I'd eat here again.

It had been quite awhile since I have eaten inside there, but I have used the take-out several times. I think the Enchilada's are the best in town, Usually I get the item called "Maria's Favorite". 2 Enchiladas smothered in lettuce black olives and cheese, with sides of beans and rice. Really good food. I have tried several others in town recently, and have found no other place as good, in my opinion of course. The take-out is a little different, I call in my order, drive down there, go in the Liquor Store entrance. Usually I pay there, and have to wait a few minutes sitting around on beer cases, till the kitchen calls the gal running the store, to go back and get it for me.

Poor service, two ribeyes, one under, one over-cooked....waited over an hour when we were one of 3 tables when we arrived, and rolls were hard.. So disappointing, this used to be the place to have a steak? We were there Tuesday early evening...won't be going back....

went to have some chicken that is sold as 'great'. none of the coating stayed on, it fell off in a heap of grease, the skin was not crispy and the meat was tough and not flavorful. very disappointed and this is our 3rd try and it seems to be getting worse. Either a new cook or someone that can cook needs to be added to the staff. wake up guys!

Went there with my husband and son to use a Griupon that was about to expire. After reading reviews and asking the locals about this place, I assumed that maybe the regular cook had the day off. The chicken fried steak I ordered had the coating fall off the moment I cut into it and tasted burnt. My hubby's pulled pork was dry as if it were frozen then reheated cause there were cold spots throughout and the corn on the cob tasted frozen not fresh. Really? Here in the Cornhusker state? My son did enjoy his burger and fries so that was a plus. Sorry. Just wished we had a better experience but we won't be back again.

We had good service. Yes the place is a little dated but still OK. I must say my wife had the fish but was under cooked and the oil was old that they fried it in. My prime rib was good sized but lacked a little on the flavor side. The food was not over priced so the experience was OK

We finally made it back here to try the prime rib. Drinks are still small but strong. The salad is still sub-par. My boyfriend and I both ordered the prime rib. Service this time was pretty slow. We did receive a pitcher of iced tea instead of refills, which was nice, but ehh, whatever at this point. Him: he ordered the 20 oz medium rare, he received medium to medium well. It was not a good cut, it was overcooked and he did not finish it. His sides were bland and boring. Me: ordered the 12 oz medium, received well done. Eww! Corn bread muffin was easily 4 days past its prime; stale on the inside and gummy on the top. Kid: ordered fried chicken leg - devoured it but said the fries were soggy. Seventy bucks (with tax/tip) for overcooked, over salty prime rib, four day old cornbread, and a chicken leg. :-( Don't bother!

Eooden Windmill is my favorite steakhouse in the midwest. Great food prices, and my service is always outstanding. Fried chicken & other offerings good too.

I have very fond memories of this place as a child. I can remember how the place looked before they remodeled when they used to have the whole wall mural of a forest and the windmill wasn't a dining area! The food used to be good back then, but now yikes!! They put this weird gravy stuff on the top of the burritos. The dip that I used to like a lot as a kid is now horrible. And when you leave the greasy smells stays with you. It's really awful. I feel bad writing such a poor review but I do it in hopes this place will improve. There aren't very many restaurants in Fremont so the ones that are there need to step up their game.
