Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I don't think I've ever ordered something that wasn't absolutely delicious. They have everything from your basic appetizers (nachos, poppers, wings, etc.), to pastas, sandwiches, and pizza. You can't go wrong with the pizza! The Tommy Girl and Thai are my two favorites, we order them every time we visit. The service can be pretty hit or miss. I've had everything from the server who couldn't make drink recommendations, to one who never came to check in on us, and some who have been great!

Original review with photos can be found at omahapizzareview.com/201… This past weekend we found ourselves in the Papillon area in search of the new kid on the block, Circo's Pizza. Unfortunately, Circo's wasn't quite ready for business yet as they're still putting the finishing touches on their new place. So after the disappointment faded, I grabbed the iPhone and searched for some pizza in the general area. After automatically discarding Pizza Hut and Little Ceasars, I spied an old favorite: Roman Coin Pizza located in the Varisty Sports Cafe in nearby Bellevue. The Bellevue location sits just north of highway 370 and east of 36th Street. There you'll find a small strip mall anchored on the east by the Varsity Sports Cafe and Roman Coin Pizza. They have a nice, covered outdoor seating area as well as a large bar and dining space inside with more TVs than should be allowed in one location. If you want to watch a sporting event, this is the place. Since I was getting this order to go, I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink and perused the menu. Their menu features the standard apps like chicken wings and mozzarella sticks, salads for those that don't want anything tasty, wraps, burgers, sandwiches and of course, pizza! Roman Coin is pretty well known around the Omaha area (they have four locations!) for producing some pretty good hand tossed pizza, but what you may not know is they also have a "deep dish" pizza on the menu. I decided to order one of each. For the Pizza Wife I ordered a hand tossed veggie pizza and I got a Meat Lovers deep dish for myself. Now, I've had more hand tossed pizzas from Roman Coin than I'd care to admit, but I'd never had one of their deep dish pizzas before. Uncharted waters - how exciting! Not long after I polished off my Jack and Coke, the pizzas arrived from the kitchen and I rushed off to join the Pizza Wife for dinner. The hand tossed veggie pizza was basic but good. It comes with the standard veggie fare including black olives, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. It wasn't the best veggie the Pizza Wife has had, but it did the trick, and she gave the chewy crust high marks. The deep dish pizza was, well, not a deep dish pizza. Let me make this perfectly clear: Roman Coin does not make a deep dish pizza. Roman Coin makes a pan pizza. HUGE difference and a big disappointment. Disappointing not because of the quality of the pizza, because it was certainly good. Disappointing because I was expecting a deep dish pizza. I mean hell, the menu says "Chicago style deep dish pizza." Deep dish pizzas have a flaky crust with tall edges and are loaded with your toppings of choice, mounds of cheese and sauce covering it all. What Roman Coin calls a deep dish pizza is no more than a regular pizza with a bit taller sides. I suppose I really shouldn't say it's a regular pizza, since they clearly use more dough for this one than they do their regular hand tossed pizza. In addition to it having a bit taller edge, the overall thickness is greater than their normal hand tossed pie. So now that I'm done bitchin' about the what they call it, let's talk about the actual pizza. The deep dish pan pizza was absolutely loaded with meat and cheese. This pie starts off with a thicker crust than their hand tossed offering. Then it's topped with the same zesty tomato sauce, piled high with pepperoni, beef, bacon (mmm, bacon), ham and sausage. Next is an artery clogging amount of mozzarella cheese that tops off this beast. The crust had the same chewy consistency as their hand tossed pizza leading me to believe the dough is the same for the pan pizza and their thinner pizza, just more of it. All in all it was a damn tasty thick crust pan pizza. Just stop calling it a deep dish, would ya? Overall we liked both pizzas. The abundance of toppings, zippy sauce and chewy crusts get high marks from the Omaha Pizza Review crew, and it makes it easy for us to recommend them to you. So long as you don't show up expecting a real deep dish pizza, you shouldn't be disappointed. Oven: Conveyor Crust: Thin was thin and chewy. Pan pizza was, you guessed it, thicker and chewy. Sauce: Zesty! Cheese: Plenty of it and on top of everything. Review by The Omaha Pizza Review Crew OmahaPizzaReview.com Facebook.com/PizzaReview… Twitter.com/PizzaReviewer

This place has great pizza. The Tommy Girl is a must try. It has chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch, and cream cheese. Extremely delicious. Also the Thia Pizza which has peanut sauce, chicken, broccoli, and onions is also extremely delicious.

Super greasy. We had half cheese and half of there buffalo chicken one. It was so damn greasy and the pieces weren't cut very well. Only plus was that they deliver and it wasn't too pricey.

We were staying at the Hampton inn for a few days for work and came here pretty much every day after work. The prices were insanely good for dinner and several drinks. The food quality was solid. They deserve your money. Tip: Get the cheese sticks. Pure awesome.

The food is good, beer selection is decent. The service is very good. I enjoyed this place while in Omaha. Typical neighborhood bar with few faults.

While the food is decent and the TVs are big, the service at this location is straight up terrible. There were less than 10 occupied tables, two of which were here before my party arrived. It took 10 minutes for her to come over, and another 10 minutes to get two beers and two lemonades. As she was taking our order, my son spilled his drink on the table. She didn't blink an eye. I asked if she could get us some napkins, since there was lemonade all over the table - "sure." And then she casually walked to another table and started clearing their empty plates!! My husband had to go to the bathroom and get paper towels. We never saw her after that. Someone else came by to tell us our food would be out shortly.

Bought pizza takeout. We had the "veggie" and it was ok. There wasn't enough sauce and they forgot the tomatoes. The pizza was ready as promised upon arrival and the gentleman at the counter was friendly.

Don't know If this was a hipster martini bar or corner pizza joint. Service in the bar is friendly but slow. Food is frozen and fried nothing homemade that jumps out at you. And last two times I've been there my pizzas were greasy. I mean throw the pizza out and eat the terrible amount of grease saturating the box. The pizza used to be the only thing worthwhile here. Not anymore, pricy and too many pizza joints around to pay that much for a bad greasy pizza and frozen fried food...

Food was good - had pizza and breadsticks. Only issue we had was the service. Service was fast (maybe too fast) as we were given the check well before we had finished our meal. Seemed like we were being hurried to get finished. Could see an issue if they were packed and needed tables to seat more customers.

I don't like giving out bad reviews... Great pizza. It's not gourmet by any means but very tasty. Everything else I have tried on the menu has been well below average. I would not order anything but pizza. I don't like the setup as a sports bar. Not many great angles to watch games. There special are far from special. Pricy beers and drinks. Couple that with poor to awful service (slow and inattentive, have been served the wrong food, wrong drinks, etc on more than one occasion...) and I have practically given up going here... which says a lot because it is blocks from my house. I am not a fan.

We came here for ghetto-beer, and this place did not disappoint. It's your typical neighbourhood ghetto-pub. The place was maybe 20% full. There is a full bar, with TVs showing everything from golf to sports highlights to the Tour de France. I'm sure they'd show hockey too, but it's the off-season right now. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints there. Today they had $2 off pitchers, and $1 tacos (Tuesday). My buddy had them, and said they tasted like regular tacos. The beer special was Coors Light. What made my buddy and I giggle the whole time is the price of the liquor. I have never had a $6 pitcher in North America, EVER. With tacos and everything, our tab came to $11 after tax + tip. Let's see you try this in Canada.

I stopped in for dinner last night with some friends. We seated ourselves outside on the patio. It was a little warm outside; however inside it was cold so we chose the fresh air. Waitress came out quickly to take our drink and appetizer order. We started off with fried sweet potatoes that were tasty. We stuck with the pizza for our meal. We ordered 1 cheese and 1 hamburger pizza. Both came out fairly quickly and were piping hot and very cheesy. We enjoyed both of them although one in our group thought that the dough tasted yeasty....the rest of us liked it. The sauce more on the tangy side opposed to sweet which I enjoy. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely visit again!!

This plase is awesome! Cheese Breadsticks are freakin crazy awesome! Must have!

Their pizza and cheesy breadsticks are very good - thick, cut into squares (which for whatever reason always makes me like pizza more) and flavorful. The service is attentive, but don't come here if you can't handle a ton of tvs tuned to different channels. It's a little over-stimulating for me (kind of like Buffalo Wild Wings), but I guess guys like that kind of stuff. They are veg friendly, but definitely not vegan friendly.

I've been here several times and always enjoy their pizza and beer. Sitting near the fireplace on a cold night is also a plus. What disappointed me last time I was there is that Summit and Fat Tire were not considered DOMESTIC pints. Last time I checked domestic means produced within the country. I didn't hear that MN and CO had seceded from the US. If you want to limit it to Bud and Miller then say so. Other than this one incident, service is always quick and friendly and it's good bar food and beer.

This seemed to be a seat yourself type of Sports bar that is very popular in this area. I would have seated myself if all of the tables weren't dirty. There was very few guests here and the one waitress visible was visiting with guests/friends at a table. It was obvious that they cater to the drinker in the restaurant with two bartenders on staff, but I needed a table for my visit. I was not eager to wait an hour for service so I decided to go elsewhere. If they don;t mind a messy dining area, I wonder how dirty the kitchen must be, just a thought.

For whatever reason I didn't realize the storefront(s) for Roman Coin Pizza and Varsity Sports Cafe belonged to the same place. I was staying at a nearby hotel and wanted some pizza on a Monday evening, walked in, saw the bar and all the TVs, and in a few moments figured it out. The atmosphere was pretty standard. It wasn't too dark, was fairly clean, and there were people scattered throughout the place with a few at the bar. After a couple minutes a waitress came by and took my drink order. They have standard domestic beers plus Boulevard, Fat Tire, and Summit on tap. Since the business has pizza in its name I ordered an individual (7 inch) pizza with bacon, pineapple, and mushrooms. It was good, nothing phenomenal... sort of standard fare. I think the mushroomed were from a can, but altogether I enjoyed it (being very hungry didn't hurt). I'd say I'm very likely to come back if I'm staying at the same hotel again and want an easy, fairly quick, and decent meal and beer.
