Bellevue food at its finest for BBQ. Better than the bigger BBQ places found in the area.

Amazing food, the all in the pool sandwich was amazing, baked beans and slaw also great. Service was great and even seen the owner cleaning tables. Highly recommend this place!

This is the way BBQ should be. Reminds me a lot of the old BBQ joints I used to go to while living in Florida. Simple seating and no hint of corporate menus.

RIBS. That's what's for dinner!!! This charming Bar B-Q restaurant is pretty darn extraordinary. And this is why I love mom & pop places.... As soon as you get out of your car you can smell the smoked meat. And boy does it smell good!!! We parked out back so it was easier for my grandpa to walk in and you can see the smoker and all of the logs they use to Bar B-Q the meat. This small restaurant has humble beginnings too. The owner started out small, he sold out of a lunch wagon and got so popular he opened up his own place. The menu is straight to the point and simple. This makes it much easier to decide. Full Slab, Half a Slab, or Four bone Ribs? they got 'em. 1/2 a chicken? they got that too! Well...unless someone buys a whole bunch, then your just outta luck missy! Sandwiches? yup that too What about the kiddos? No worries, they got meals for them too. My brother got the 1/2 slab of ribs and my grandpa and I each ordered the special: 3 bone ribs with two sides for just $7.25. Not too shabby I must say. The sides were just as wonderful as our meat, smoked beans, mmmmm delicious, and apple crisp. My sis got the chicken sandwich, only cuz she was fresh outta luck since the 1/2 chickens were sold out. She loved the sandwich and the smoked beans! Winning dinner? Yes, the whole fam was happy, even my niece =) I have to say, this meat made me pretty satisfied!! I'll be good for about a month and I'll have to have my fair share of BBQ meat again!

I do not understand the fuss over this place. Just having recently moved here, I was anxious to try the local eateries. This place was mentioned time and again. I ordered one of the BBQ sandwiches. I found the meat the be dry and tasteless. The sauce lacked zest. It really tasted like run of the mill grocery BBQ sauce. The hostess at the counter definitely seemed less than interested in her job. Let's not forget the prices! Had the food been better, I wouldn't have minded paying what we did. Seeing how our table certainly did not enjoy their experience, the tab was too high for the quality. I suppose if you hadn't heard good things, you wouldn't expect as much. But, if you were told a place was "excellent," then found that to be false, you'd feel the same. Absolute rubberish.

Outstanding "burnt ends!" As a former competitive bbq cook and current bbq judge I've had burnt ends at Oklahoma Joe's, Jack Stack, and Arthur Bryants in Kansas City but Swine Dinings' take the cake. You have to get there early on Fridays if you want a shot at getting those bbq nuggets of gold called burnt ends.

I visited Swine Dining for lunch. Good BBQ and decent lunch prices. I really enjoyed the burnt ends, pulled pork sandwich, and apple crisp. I need to come back and try the ribs. Fast service and friendly staff :)

Hands down my favorite BBQ food. Truly tasty and delicious food with great service. Everything was excellent and is consistent with every visit. I particularly enjoyed their New Brunswick stew. Of all the BBQ joints in Omaha all I have to say to the hubby is that I want BBQ and he automatically heads straight there.

Consistent delicious BBQ and a friendly staff. The banana pudding isn't amazing though, good, but not great. The problem I was that you didn't taste banana and vanilla wafer with every bite.

Dropped in again last night after dropping off James the Younger at Bellevue East for a drum line competition. They came in next to last. But that's better than last! This time, we were hungry, and went whole hog. (sorry) We ordered the Pig Pen, where you automatically get a half slab of ribs, and choose two drinks and two sides. I went with pork and brisket for the meats. My wife wanted to get the apple crisp as one side and told me I could choose the other. I said "potato salad." She said "Potato salad?!" That's how it works when you're married, gentlemen. Baked beans it was. The brisket, as before, was very smoky but still a bit dry. I grabbed one of the bread slices, slapped the brisket on it, doused it in the sweet sauce (they have hot and mild, both sweet), folded it up, and it was all good. Did the same with the pork, which was similarly slightly dry. The ribs, which come pre-sauced, were done perfectly; I don't think there's a better rib in town if you like 'em sauced. Now how about them beans? A bit like a can of Bush's with stewed apples in it. Not saying it was bad, but definitely on the sweet side, no real spice to them. The apple crisp was nice. And the cornbread muffin that came along was the sweet variety, though not too sweet, and again a bit dry. Seems to be a theme here. But the flavors are so good, I don't really mind. This time, I tried their sweet tea, which tasted home-brewed and was just past the point of sweetness where you might say "Hey, this isn't sweet enough!" Just sweet, not church-lady sweet like some places. And the order process is just a bit different for the Pig Pen. Instead of filling out one menu sheet for each customer, there's a separate sheet for the Pig Pen (and the Barnyard something or other, the larger version of the Pig Pen), and everything goes on that. The whole thing was a bit under 45 bucks. Not cheap, really, but not too expensive, and there was more than enough to feed James the Younger when he got home from beating things with sticks.

Along with Boxer BBQ in Council Bluffs, this is one of my favorite places for pulled pork. While they don't offer back ribs, their burnt ends (when available) are spectacular. Don't miss this place if you're in the area!

Wow! Best, most moist BBQ anywhere. Family owned. Friendly staff. Pet friendly Outdoor seating.

Hello friends... This was our first trip to Swine Dining. I have heard from many people that it some of the best BBQ in the area, so we made our way down to Ye Old Towne Bellevue. The prices were comfortable, everything is a la cart. I love me some BBQ. It was certainly not the worst BBQ I have had, nor was it the best. It was good. My friends really enjoyed their chicken and brisket. I had ribs. (in my opinion they were a little dry and without flavor. The corn bread was VERY sweet and I felt there was wayyyyy too much brown sugar in the beans. The temperature and quality were good. Not necessarily to my liking. The place is spotless (including restrooms.) Staff is VERY friendly and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. My friends said they will return soon. I would return, but I have a few other places inline before I would return. I would recommend it to anyone to try!

Went into Swine Dining today for dinner. Parking can be challenging because it is mostly on-street, but the food is worth a short walk. I got the brisket sandwich, cornbread, and a drink. About $10.50 with tax. The sweet tea was good. It had flavor and was not overpowered by the sugar unlike some places. The brisket took a few minutes to arrive at the table but it was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful with just a little fat. They have two choices of BBQ sauce at the table that you can add as desired. The cornbread was fresh and warm enough to melt the butter. I enjoy the atmosphere at Swine Dining too. The staff is friendly and they keep the lobby clean. Often you can see the owner out in the lounge or behind the counter. It's that kind of care and involvement that you can't get with a national chain. If you go around back you can see the wood piles for the smoker. Good stuff

  • J P.

Meh. Went there for lunch. Limited menu. Baked beans waaaaaayyyyyyyy too sweet. I'm wary of any bbq place that doesn't have a smoker going when I'm there. Serviceable lunch but nothing special.

The price was great, but the food was just ok. I have had much better at many other BBQ places. I had the brisket with potato salad and my husband had ribs and slaw. Wish I could have just had the brisket without making it as a sandwich. (Everything but the ribs are in sandwich form) Also wasn't fond of the rub they use. It was very gritty. Husband said the ribs were just ok. They looked a little dry from where I was sitting. The potato salad was really good! The sauce on the table was very tasty! I had just the mild but it was good! Had the "sweet" tea and it was disgusting!!! If you like southern sweet tea, I recommend you pass this by. This is one of the worst northern sweet teas I have had!

  • Nel P.

I took my family here after a friend invited us to join them for lunch. The food was good and the price is not bad. I wished they'd include the drink with their combo lunches. The apple crisp was really good but the cornbread were just OK (compared to Famous Dave's).

They have burnt ends on Friday's and they are delicious!! Everything so far has been yummy!

Another great find in Old Town Bellevue! This place is nice and simple. The menu isn't packed full of options, they keep things streamlined. Get some meat, get some sides, sit down and let your eyes roll back as the taste does a number on your soul. That's it. It's where you go to eat some BBQ. If it's your first time there, just do what I do and shoot for the stars. Get the full slab of ribs, a few sides, and something to drink. Don't make plans for the night. Mmmm, BBQ!

  • Mike M.

I have had this for my family when they come into town. I have used them to cater my work activities, and they have never let me down on quantity provided and the quality and flavor of the food. Always a winner!

I read these reviews, and being a southern boy, I just had to try this because unfortunately, as we know, Omaha is not the center of the bbq universe. I'm sad to say I was a bit disappointed. I got both the pulled pork sandwich and the burnt ends so I could sample both. I'd have to agree with Royal who said it was missing something. Good flavor, but not great. I expected more flavorful burnt ends, but it didn't pop like I had hoped. The sandwich was good, but again, not that real bbq flavor I was hoping for. The beans were actually really good, with that apple cinnamon flavor. The fries were good also. Overall, meh. Good, not great. The search continues.

I'm a fan of this bbq place. I used to stop by and pick up bbq from the food truck in Bellevue before they moved into a brick and mortar restaurant. I look forward to trying out the restaurant now that they have one. I'm sure it will be even better than the food truck/trailer was.

Ive eaten at Swine dining a few times because it was the lunch time group meal. Its good BBQ but it just tasted like something was missing. Dont get me wrong, there really isnt a BBQ joint in Bellevue that compares, but its only Bellevue. Who is closed on a monday. I understand everyone needs a break but we still would like the BBQ everyday.

  • Rachael L.

this place is what a BBQ joint should be. simple and good. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and the meat was delicious without sauce, and their "hot" BBQ sauce just made it even better. the heat isn't there at first, but it builds in a nice way. i also ordered the baked beans which had a weird chemically flavor to them and a lot of smoke. I might try them again, hoping something was wrong with this batch, but I was so happy with the sandwich it didn't matter. I am excited to go back and try something else.

Great BBQ! The combination of apple and cherry wood for the smoke is amazing... Baked beans with apples. Sweet tea... A must try!

Went here last saturday for the first time. The ribs and brisket were excellent. The sauce was fair. The sides were lacking, the fries were not cooked long enough and the beans were that odd "apple" style. The ribs and brisket were good enough to make up for the sides. P.S. The cashier was very friendly and super cute.

First off, if you can't tell, barbecue is an intensely personal thing. One person's "best ever" is another's "so so". We are from Kansas City, which may have more barbecue places per square foot than anywhere else on earth. We've tried most of them. This place is a good one. Some of the best pulled pork I've ever had. The best is The Filling Station in Lee's Summit, MO, but this may even match it. The tenderest brisket I have ever tasted. The chopped rib meat sandwich is to die for. The sauces are sweetish, but not like some Southern-style sauces, and even the mild one has enough spicy heat to offset the sweet. The beans are something else. The first time I tried them, wife and I kept trying to identify the mystery flavor. It's apples and cinnamon. Weird? Yes, but delicious. Also, absolutely wonderful fries. Crispy, and hot with a light dusting of seasoned salt. Simple place, clean and very friendly. Try it.

Good location, fun place, and really good food. Ate till I was overfull and wanted to go on eating. That's when you know it's good. Went with pork and brisket for the meats. A tad dry but with a little mild sauce was yummy. The apple crisp was a pleasant surprise.

My husband and I went there for the first time today. He got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the brisket sandwich. Brisket is deff the way to go! Good flavor on the meat and a little bark! Our fries were good and the beans we had were good also...they were different tho. They were baked beans w/ cinnamon apples in them. I didn't think my husband would like them...(he doesn't like his food messed with) but he did! I enjoyed them also...they were just different then your run of the mill baked bean... Wait staff VERY friendly! We were lucky enough to take some burnt ends home for supper! We took them for a test drive before we left and they were great! We will deff be back! I want to try their 1/2 chicken.

Swine Dining, I loved your meat, but the beans not so much. Wonderful burnt ends (which I guess is not something that is always available), fall off the bone tender and juicy ribs but way too sweet baked beans (which are referred to as smoked beans, which made me expect cowboy beans over baked beans) and cloying barbecue sauce. Frankly the sauce isn't needed, this isn't Famous Daves. The meat stands alone quite well, and the corn bread muffin is just as fluffy and delicious as you could want. The potato salad seemed typical of any grocery store yellow potato salad, so come here for the meat not the sides.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Best BBQ i have found since leaving the south. The sauce is great, the sweet tea is a bit weak but im used to diabetes in a cup, and the beans are to die for. I always get the pulled pork and i am never disapointed!! If you want BBQ go here ASAP!!

Big fan! This place is also a definite go-to when in the area. The food, service, and cleanliness are always on point. I'm a Tennessee/Southern style bbq foodee, Swine Dining gets my vote! The simple menu and straight forward quality will keep me coming back. My favorite is the half chicken, but last trip out I had the half rack. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. The dry rub was spicy/sweet and just enough to let the meat flavor still come first. Thanks for the good eats!

Being that I'm from Kansas City and all, I consider myself quite an expert on all things Bar B Que. Much to the irritation of my husband and friends, who believe their entitled to their own opinions, I haven't found any Omaha BBQ places I love. I haven't tried Hartland, but I hear it's good. Also, Parker Smokehouse in Ashland is great. I feel ok about Boyd and Charlies. All 3 are good, but they aren't like home. But Swine Dining is closER. I tried it today. I had the burnt ends which were really good. The fatty pieces melted in my mouth, but the drier pieces were really dry. 2 sauces, one regular and one spicy. The regular was very thick and gooey and sweet, perfect with burnt ends. The spicy sauce had a great kick that I couldn't identify. It was sweet too and pretty thick. $8 for a slice of bread, burnt ends and 2 sides. Not bad! My husband tried the the smoked sausage (which doesn't happen in KC, or shouldn't anyway) and he loved it. It tasted good, but it's not really BBQ. It seemed like an already prepared smoked kielbasa link. It was served on a Rotella roll with 2 sides for $8. Here's why I didn't give Swine Dining 5 stars. Like MOST Omaha BBQ places, they need to work on their sides. I was super excited about the smoked baked beans. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tried them. They were runny and very cinnamony. There was a spiced apple apple on top. It was weird. Also, the fries were sparse and just ok. You might be arguing that it should be about the meat, and not the sides. But I disagree. In KC (yeah, i know i'm not in kc), the BEST onion rings you will find are at BBQ places. Not pizza places. Anyway, It's a cute little restaurant. Log cabin outside, order at the window inside. Adequate seating and a nice drink selection with bottled sauces on the table. The food is brought out to the table, the order taker and food deliverer are super friendly. Bottom line: I'll be back. The burnt ends were great. For Omaha. I'll give them some time to improve the sides and I can't wait to try the ribs!

  • Bobby B.

It was okay, but like somebody else stated, it was missing something. It also seemed a little expensive for an average portion, and not the best BBQ I've had in the area. I think I'll keep going to Boxer BBQ in Council Bluffs.

  • Scott M.

Always a great meal. The burnt ends are the best!!!

  • Sara F.

I feel really bad only giving this place 3 stars, as I tend to be a cheerleader for the 'little guy'. Sadly, the only thing I can say was great was the ribs. They were cooked to the perfect tenderness and the sauce amount was fair. The other good things were the hot BBQ sauce and that the food was fast. On the not-so-good front, the mild sauce had an odd taste to it, nothing was freshly prepared, the sides were almost $1.50 (for a corn bread muffin or a 1/2 cup of corn/apple crisp) and the portion sizes were not a great deal. Also, the tip jars placed in a couple different places were annoying, as the only 'service' provided is your food delivered; you order at a counter when you walk in, collect you own drinks, select your table/silverware and clear your table. I understand this business model is successful for some but I believe another attribute (large portions, low prices, completely homemade food) is usually paired with it. I think this place might be good for lunch but overall I feel let down. Will I go back again? Maybe? I'm not making plans at this time though.

The best BBQ place in Nebraska!! Burnt ends are the BESTTTT. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I would drive to the end of the Earth to eat this BBQ

Have been here twice since it opened. It is wonderful! This is the best BBQ in town and in the whole area. We happened to really like the sides both times we were there. The size of the sides are a little lacking but the taste is great. This restaurant will be around for the long haul.

After dining here on an almost regular basis now for almost two years I feel a rating upgrade is necessary. The food is really good. They have sweet tea now and my tummy is always really happy after a lunch here. The "all in the pool" lunch special option is pretty much wonderful.

Great brisket. Nice and tender. Good sauces. Smoked beans like others said aren't worth getting. Even so, I'll be back.

Enjoyed the food. The best dish there is actually a side, the corn... Really good. Flavor good, a little expensive. The meat was dry. Plan to try it again.

I was here with my son on Vacation for a AAA baseball tournament. We were referred by a person in our hotel to this establishment. What a great place. I had the pulled pork and corn mash. It was great. The pork was moist and had a great flavor. The corn mash was aw some! I made it when I got back home to California and all of my friends loved it! Loved the hot bbq sauce too. See you next year!

Food: Best place in Bellevue, Nebraska for BBQ. All of the menu items I have tried were great. Try the watermelon tea also...good stuff! Atmosphere: Restaurant was very clean, but it is small. I suggest arriving earlier than the normal lunch/dinner times to ensure you get a seat. Customer Service: The cashier was very nice and informative. She made suggestions for our family to try since this was our first visit. Conclusion: This is a famous BBQ place here in the Metro area. Good food at a reasonable cost...we'll be back!

Wow. Swine's is the real deal. Delicious and reasonably priced, clean yet no nonsense atmosphere, and friendly, efficient service. I ordered off the specials board, a Smokey Joe which is a chopped up brisket made into a Sloppy Joe. For sides I had the coleslaw, as topping to my sammich, and apple crisp. The coleslaw was perfect and clearly made in house. It was creamy, not runny, with just the right amount of sweet and not overpowered with mayo taste. No complaints with the apple crisp but I'll admit I'm not versed in the ways of apple crisp. I wanted to try it and it tasted yummy. Smokey Joke was awesome and not dry at all. There was the right balance of spices and I didn't feel the need to add extra sauce. Piling my slaw on top was all I needed. Also, there was an impressive amount of food for the price I paid. Very happy about that. There's ample indoor seating (although when a line builds up inside, it tends to block off some of the tables), ample outdoor seating, and even some "overflow" outdoor seating of picnic tables out under the trees. I also like the way this little shop is able to quickly and efficient handle a crowd by having a staff member work his way down the line having people pre-order as well as asking questions. Once you make up your mind, he marks your order on a slip along with your total so that when you arrive at the cash register, you can just pay and move out of the way. (I make this all seem like an impersonal conveyor belt but it's actually much more friendly and human than that.) If I ever come back to Offutt, I'd want to come back here, although there seems to be so many "must try" places out here that it would be a shame to double tap a place before trying some of the other places.

Updated review based on trying Swine Dining's ribs and new Smoky Joe sandwich. Smoky Joe is similar to a sloppy joe, but made with chopped smoked brisket, onions, and green peppers integrated into the mix. Price with two sides is -$8.69. Meat is very smoky and there is a good spicy bite to it. Thought it was tasty. Ribs were tender and good smoke flavor. Baked beans and coleslaw are always good. Beans are sweeter than most and comes with apple in them. Dessert was a caramel bread pudding. Taste is very good, just wish the portion was just a tad bit larger. Swine Dining remains my go to restaurant for any time I want barbecue. I have tried numerous other places, but this one remains at the top of the list

New owner as of 4/1/2015. Recipes and prices stayed the same. BBQ just as good as before. There was a nice 6 month overlap in owners to insure a smooth transition. I've ordered burnt ends, pork ribs, and chicken. The burnt ends are very good. No sauce needed. They are loaded with flavor and actually look and taste like burnt ends (as opposed to some places that just cut their normal brisket into cubes and call it burnt ends). They don't offer them everyday. Only on Fridays and Saturdays. You had better get here EARLY (before 12:30) if you want any. Ribs are good. Good smokiness and decent bark. Not too chewy and not falling off the bone over-cooked either. Chicken is awesome. Most BBQ places destroy chicken by turning the skin into inedible leather and drying the meat out. The chicken here was flavorful and moist. It is closer to a rotisserie chicken than smoked chicken. If I could order an entire basket of chicken skins from this place then I would be a happy (and heart attack prone) man. The chicken rub has a slightly sweet/tangy/salty thing going on that is just delicious. For sides I ordered the Smoked Beans and Apple Crisp. The beans were good. Not great, but good. They are unique and have bits of apple in them. Definitely worth trying. The Apple Crisp was very good. Their BBQ sauces are good. A little sweeter than most. I didn't find the hot BBQ sauce to be particular hot, so if I were them I would kick it up a notch. Service was friendly, genuine, and attentive. Hardly anyone every complains about the BBQ here. Most negative reviews are about speed of service or pricing. So, for taste, this place is hard to beat n the Omaha area. The only other BBQ in the Omaha area that compares is Hartland BBQ in the Benson area of Omaha. Restaurant is clean and well maintained.

First off, don't let yourself be confused by the ordering system, just grab your paper slip, fill it out and drop your order at the counter... for some reason, everyone has to have their own slip though. My impressions of Swine Dining were... Entirely edible. Fast and casual. But I don't know if I'll be revisiting. (And so my search for a truly fantastic pulled pork in Omaha continues...) If I find myself here again, I'll try the brisket.

  • Todd G.

Visited on a hot Tuesday with co-workers that love the place. Well, I'm not as impressed. Standing in line to give your order gave me time to be more confused. There are 2 order forms, one for dinners and one for lunches. The dinners include no sides and the lunches include sides. Didn't find that out until I ordered the 1/2 chicken. The 1/2 chicken was $7.69, which I assumed came with sides. But each side was $1.69. The chicken with 2 sides and a drink was around $13.50, WOW!! It better be good. The chicken and sides had good flavor. The chicken half was undersized. I did not receive my monies worth. Overall uninspiring visit, won't be returning. No one should walk away from a $13.50 lunch and still be hungry!!

Such good BBQ tucked into a small building. You can tell they travel and cook in competition cuz the mobile oven is parked next to the building and for all indications is literally where they're cooking from every day. I'd give a higher rating except for two things: parking is ridiculous and the selection is narrow. Parking is either on the street curb or in a tiny parking lot accessible from an alley that you enter almost a block away. At least they're focused on their food. Speaking of which, what's available is always well cooked, falling off the bone and the sides are delicious. Unfortunately, the menu is a single sheet from which you order your meals by selecting via pencil. Quaint, but on a recent visit at lunch time, it wasn't obvious that ribs were even available since the sheets only had lunch specials. Once you asked, they said they had them. Now this is cute in Vegas if that's the shtick of the place, but for a regular place, it's just annoying.

Great food! Coming from the northeast, I was excited about having some good old midwestern barbecue. I had previously gone to another "best of omaha" bbq joint, but was disappointed by the dryness. Swine Dining was the exact opposite. My party of four got the barnyard with chicken, brisket, and pork. All three meats were delicious and perfectly cooked. In addition, the ribs fell right off the bone and didn't need sauce to be delicious. The cornbread, potato salad, beans, and corn were all great. The only part of the meal I didn't like too much was the sweet tea. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it almost tasted diluted. The only problem I have with Swine Dining is that they have weird hours. They're only open for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. My group had to plan the entire week's worth of dinner around this strange schedule. However, if you can get around this, then I would definitely recommend coming here.

Decent bbq. I think their reputation is a little over hyped for me. I have had better bbq at home, but I am pretty good at grilling so that's not saying a lot. I would go again and try something different than the ribs.

FINALLY was able to try this place today. This place has evaded us several times as they're not open Sundays or Mondays. Furthermore, when we finally came on another day a week ago, they were closed for winter break. I was so excited to finally get some Swine Dining BBQ today! I would highly recommend coming during lunch time because they have deals. We ordered the Burnt Ends (only on Fridays I believe), All in the Pool (which has several different meats), baked beans, and fries for about $15 (not bad!). The Burnt Ends were delicious. They practically melted in my mouth. I also enjoyed the All in the Pool sandwich, but not nearly as much as the Burnt Ends. I didn't try the baked beans or fries, but my husband seemed to enjoy them. In terms of service, this place is absolutely incredible. They almost have it down to a science. As you're waiting in line, they have slips you can fill out for your order. This makes the line go very quickly as there is little small talk when you get to the counter. In addition to a quickly moving line, I felt that our food came out lightning fast. The place was already hopping when we ordered, yet our food came out less than 5 minutes after we ordered it! So great! We were able to find a spot to sit down and eat, but be prepared that it will be difficult to find a seat if you come during the rush. There seems to be enough seating...it just gets difficult during lunch time given their popularity. Most of the seating involves tables and chairs with a few booths. I found the area clean and well-kept. Overall, we were very pleased!

Called 40 minutes ahead to order takeout. They asked and I provided my pick up time. I'm here waiting 10 minutes for food. People who ordered dining in received food as same time as me. What's point of calling ahead??

Cleanliness 5 Service 5 Food 5 Overall 5 Great place for some great BBQ! I went with a group from work on lunch break. Co-workers said it was good and they were right. I had the pulled pork sandwich which is amazing in itself. However I hear the ribs and burnt ends (Friday only?) are what to get. The beans have apples in them and make then taste so good. I will definitely be returning here and trying some more of the menu items! The service is also fast as I put in my order, sat down and had my food delivered to me already, this was also during the lunch hour. So they have a very timely service. The only thing I would mention is that their hot BBQ sauce is not spicy at all. Don't get me wrong that and the mild BBQ sauce taste amazing, it just wasn't as spicy as I would expect.

My favorite barbecue place in Omaha. I always get the pulled pork sammy, coleslaw and cornbread muffin. The serving of pulled pork is generous, it is moist and has great flavor. I prefer their hot sauce which tastes great and has the right amount of kick. The cole slaw is ok but a little too soupy to rank it stellar. However the cornbread muffin is the heat. When visiting Omaha (actually Bellevue) stop by for lunch.

Overall swine dining was pretty good. The ribs fell right off the bone. The portions for the 60 dollar (forgot what it's called) order were surprisingly smaller than anticipated. It was enough to feed four people, however I was expecting a bit more. The overall feel for this place was slightly above mediocre. Food had a decent taste, portions were small, and their availability is difficult to accommodate when working 10 hour days and being in a hotel 30 minutes away. If the portions were slightly greater and the hours were better it would have gotten a four. However this is not a 5 star BBQ place. Final note - I enjoyed their tribute to good Kentucky style BBQ places.

Went here for the first time a week ago. It was VERY crowded despite being a rainy day. Arrived on a rainy Wednesday during peak dining hours, and it was very full. Some tips: 1). There is a small lot in the back of the restaurant that has about 6-8 spaces. These spaces fill up quickly, though. 2). The Takeout window may be closed (maybe it's never open), so you have to wait to order with the masses. It is advised that you call ahead so you can avoid this ordering fiasco. 3). Ordering is done by pencil and paper before you get to the window. The menu is above the ordering menu as well. You will most likely have to have multiple papers for ordering the same items. I'm not sure, since there is not really a space to have higher increments listed. There was one cashier when maybe there should have been 2. 4). BBQ Sauce is of the sweet or sweet/spicy nature. It does have a good taste. The loot: 1 burger/cornbread side, 1 brisket sandwich/coleslaw side, 1 pulled pork sandwich/ baked beans side. Sandwich sizes were on par with the prices, but the sides of baked beans and coleslaw were PUNY! Not sure if this was a fluke based on who plated the meals, but seriously, how expensive can cabbage really be? Sides were mostly forgettable in flavor here too. I will say that the cornbread was good in size and flavor. Sandwiches were both tasty. Not disappointed on the main sandwich front, but for the overall prices, the sides could've been more rounded out or there could have been 2 sides. The combo meals for this place were really highly priced. A rack of ribs was $20+ if I remember correctly. Since we did not try these, I can't say whether or not these were worth the ticket price. If you are a family dining here, unless you are ordering sandwiches only, your ticket price will be extremely high. I liked the idea of this place, but I just thought it really wasn't worth what we received or what the higher priced items are asking. IF I ever go back here, and it won't be per my recommendation, I would only go for lunch. TL;DR: Cheapest item on the menu is the burger. It's not terrible. Skip this place and go to Boxer Barbeque in Council Bluffs.

Don't get me wrong because of my rating the food is definitely five star but the pricing is very high I used to live near Kansas City which I thing has hands down so many of the best barbecue places and this came very close to those food is amazing I always get the ribs and even my two year old picky son loves the ribs and their hot sauce is delicious love this place just can't afford it all the time. Definitely worth a try!

Love love love the food! The beef brisket is the best ever and is a must have! The workers are so friendly and nice and it's a great place to go! Only wish that it is open all week but they are closed Sunday and Monday.

We usually get this for teacher in-service, but i've dined in formally until recently! Yum yum! First of all, I called ahead for a large party from school, and they were really accomodating. We arrived when they opened and there was already a line of people waiting to get some good BBQ with all the fixin's. I was worried we weren't going to have enough time to get in and out. Once we ordered our food at the counter, we had it in 5 minutes. Super fast. I had a heaping pulled pork sandwich served in a hoagie bun which came with two large sides (fries and potato salad for me) for $6. That's the price of a Whopper Meal! The entire time we were there, there was a line out the door. This place is popular!

This place is a gem!! Delicious!! The ribs are AmAzInG!! BBQ sauce-hot or mild, tangy with a touch of sweet... Also, tried the "secret" vinegar sauce w the ribs, to die for!!! Corn bread, YuM! Apple crisp, crunchy and sweet! Special of the day today was caramel bread pudding, so SweeT and delicious! The portions are generous, not too little, not too big!! Nice open grassy area for kids to run around!! The owner was super nice too!! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Nebraska!! If you get a chance, give Swine Dining a try! You won't be sorry!!

My favorite BBQ in the metro area. You can get burnt ends on Fridays, till they run out. Excellent ribs, all the time. Nothing on Sundays, cause they're closed. Drive here hungry, leave happy.

Bellevue, Nebraska...how I love you. Your rolling hills. bautiful fall foliage and friendly people are the best. And now you've got BBQ that is really stellar...you are perfect. (Until January :-) I came home to Bellevue for some family business, and after a grueling day my husband and I were starving. We very hesitantly decided to try Swine Dining. Hesitant because he's a native Texan, and I've lived in Austin for 23 years now. We know barbecue. He ordered the chicken and said it was some of the best smoked chicken he's had EVER. He got ribs, and really loved them, too. No sides for him...what a he man carnivore. ..geeeez. LOL I got the all in the pool sandwhich, which I think had pork, beef and sausage all chopped up. OMG. The bread was so soft and fresh, and the meat was perfect. It was HUGE...could only eat half. So good. The beans. Wait...what is that in the beans? Is it...apple?! What tha?!?!? Well...I ate 'em anyway and let me tell you, those beans were some of the best I've had anywhere. Sweet and smoky and tender. Yum. This place is legit. The fried apple pie was amazing, too. Bellevue...I will miss it so much. And I'll be back. And when I do come back Swine Dining will be at the top of our list.

This place is still great BBQ whoever gives this place bellow 3 stars is just plain ignorant and doesn't know their BBQ. Swine is one of the best in Omaha area and rivals some top KC BBQ joints. Will go back again and again to swine.

Just good food. Keep going back to try something different, despite loving the first meal I had the most. Only thing I wish the had was beer, but can easily get over that. Staff was great and helped us clean up after our 2 children.

Burnt ends were the bomb! True burnt ends...not just cut up brisket. I luckily got the last serving available...Friday @ 715. Others in the group had the ribs. They mentioned they were better than a lot of places in Omaha. I am not normally a rib person, but these were really good. Easy to get off the bone in an easy bite...still moist but not fatty. Corn bread was pretty good...hint of sweetness but not too much. The Beans were interesting...not bad though. Had some apple in them for sweetness. Was a little loud...but not crazy. We weren't rushed out, and the folks at the counter were very helpful in making selections. This place is quite a drive for us from Millard, but we will be back.

Food: 4 stars... which when it opened was 5 stars....fame has overwhelmed them Staff: 1 star... staff does not know how to deal with crowds; if you've been a regular, you know it's time to find another place or if you must eat here, then order take out. Ever since this place became "popular" you have to deal with the new customers who come in here and either a) live by their own rules and don't care if they're standing in the middle of the restaurant blocking the aisles or b) spend so much time trying to figure out how to order. The line takes forever. Ordering process: 1 star. Since you order everything ala carte they should just let us order our items at the counter. Understood that you use the sheets to track orders, but the line would move so much faster if you ditched them, or have the counter staff write it down.

Came in this evening for my first visit with my family (2 adults and 4 kids). The ribs, pork, and brisket were all amazing - very tender and not fatty. The baked beans (which my husband described as Apple pie beans) seem to simply be a matter of personal preference as some of us liked them, some didn't, and some thought they were ok. The cornbread, fries, and tea were average. As far as price goes, they're a bit more expensive than that Famous chain, but the portion sizes are more generous and the meat wasn't salty, tough, or fatty (it's always at least one of those things there). The staff here was also very friendly. Glad to know I can support a local restaurant the next time we're craving bbq!

Before the Swine Dining lovers of the world descend upon me, allow me explain that I'm a Carolina BBQ guy, through and through. The fact that Swine Dining gets even 3 stars is a testament to their BBQ. With that out of the way, allow me to say that Swine Dining is just fine. It's a place with a loyal following, so lines get long at lunch, especially on Friday when they serve burnt ends (which, if they're serving them you should order). Due to the number of people and the small amount of seating, I almost always take my food to go--BBQ doesn't suffer from a ride in the car the way some other foods do. Today was my first time trying the burnt ends, and I must say, I was impressed with the flavor. Most places, when they give you burnt ends, they're just smoke-flavored fat chunks--not Swine Dining. Their burnt ends actually have some meat, and the smokey flavor and tenderness means you really don't even need BBQ sauce. And that's a good thing, because I find both of their BBQ sauces (spicy and mild) to be too sweet for my liking, even judging against other KC-style sweet sauces. Previously, I'd tried their pulled pork sandwich, and was wholly unimpressed. It was dry and bland. I couldn't taste any seasoning at all, and had to drown it in their sauce to make it edible. Perhaps that was just a bad batch, but for safety's sake, if I head back, I'll stick to the burnt ends. As for side dishes, I ordered their cold corn salad and banana pudding. Not typical BBQ sides per se, but I'd previously tried their smoked beans, and didn't care for them -- like the BBQ sauce, they were too sweet for my liking. The Corn Salad was pretty good. Corn, of course, was the main component, along with black beans, onions, peppers, and some seasonings--the whole thing ended up tasting like a pico-de-gallo, except replace the tomatoes with corn. The banana pudding was great--it comes topped with 3 animal crackers, and there are plenty of banana chunks in the pudding. Perhaps its the fact that it's probably been a decade since I've eaten banana pudding, but I REALLY enjoyed it. At the end of the day, I can say with confidence that I'll be back here when I need a BBQ fix. It's not great, and the wait is long most days at lunch, but the burnt ends are well-made, the people are friendly, and it meets my criteria for the under-ten-dollar lunch.

I live in San Diego, home of the worst BBQ on the planet... Swine Dining, you my only friend. I come out to Omaha for business every couple of months, and every time I find a new diamond in the rough out here. I ordered the burnt ends for lunch, which is apparently a friday only thing... Lucky for me. Great smoky flavor, nice texture, and a good sized portion for the $9 I paid for it. I got the spicy BBQ sauce to go along with it, and it was as advertised. Good spice in a traditional sweet, sticky Midwest-style BBQ sauce. Next time I'm in town I intend to try the ribs, and probably a pulled pork sandwich, and probably a smoked sausage, and probably everything else they have on the menu as well.

Interesting place for sure. You grab a slip and check off what you want. They were out of ribs when I went so I tried the brisket. It was ok. A bit on the dry side. The baked beans with apple was good and I also liked the coleslaw. Overall, it was good but not great. the portions were kind of small for the price. I would eat here again but not a place I see myself rushing back out to any time soon.

You can tell a lot about a BBQ joint before you walk through the door. Is there a wood pile? Can you smell the smoke? Are there beat-up clunkers and utility trucks parked next to Mercedes in the parking lot? By those measures, you'll know this place is a winner. The fill-out-a-card ordering system is a little quirky, but it works well. You'll be served by a friendly, tight-knit, mostly family crew. If you're a collector of BBQ T-shirts, they have a few nice ones to choose from. There are two sauces you can add, one sweeter, one spicier. They don't make their own sauce, because they've found an excellent local source. The beans have been controversial in the reviews, with their touch of apples bathed in sweet smokey goodness. I LOVE them. Try them yourself and let the rest of us know what you think. My family has been eating here since it was a food truck parked in front of an auto parts store. Now it's a spacious, cabin-like building right in the center of old-town Bellevue.

Swine Dining is some of the best BBQ in Omaha. They are the closest thing you will come to real southern BBQ up here. The service is always friendly and fast. Its a great lunch spot in Bellevue. In the summer they open the patio and its nice to sit outside. I've had their ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. It's all good! Don't waste your money at some of these chains that claim to be BBQ. Go get the real local thing.

What can I say ? Competition-level barbecue ribs and pulled pork at a great price, great atmosphere with outgoing staff. Expanded hours too during the summer, and yes they take call-ins! If you are looking for authentic barbecue and cornbread (mmm) look no further!

Such amazing food!! Pulled pork sandwich is off the chain. Potato salad is awesome, beans have a cinnamon taste to them and also have peaches in them, coleslaw is awesome, creamed corn is to die for although I wish it wasn't so runny and a little thicker would be nice, cornbread doesn't have much taste, and the fries were awesome. They also have watermelon sweet tea. Love both mild and hot sauce. Wish you got a little more for your money but that's the least of my concerns.

Good brisket, but they completely lost me with the apples in the beans! What in the... I know BBQ and I know you don't put apples in the beans! If you do, at least give people a heads up with the word APPLE in the beans description! Smoked beans leads you to believe you would get some killer smoked beans, but NOT HERE! I got told it's their #1 selling side! I suppose so since it says SMOKED BEANS! Talk about a misleading ad! You loose 1 star for that and 1 star for not having plain old beans for the rest of the people who don't want fruit in their BEANS! I don't want fruity farts! I want stinky manly ones that regular BBQ beans give you! The potato salad seemed like it came from a container and didn't seem or taste homemade. The cornbread muffin was OK, but would have preferred a nice slab of cornbread from a pan. Big difference between muffin and pan! The sauces are fantastic. Try them both!

The burnt ends are amazing! I could just leave it at that, but I'll expound a bit. Swine Dining is a weekly destination for my co-workers and I. The food is that good. The place get's pretty packed with the lunch crowd during the week, so we get there early. Some favorite sides for our group are cole slaw, cornbread, and my favorite caramel bread pudding. If they don't have burnt ends, the all in the pool sandwich is close second.

Had the pulled pork and cornbread. This was the best cornbread I've had in a very long time! Pulled pork was so tender and had amazing taste.

This place has great BBQ, sweet tea and corn bread. Forget about Famous Dave's (which is a chain, so I don't have a high opinion of chain BBQ places to begin with). You have to fill out a little card of what you are ordering and your corresponding side-- but once that's done you pay and sit down at a table till they call your number. No waiter service-- so very casual. I'd say they have a bigger lunch crowd than dinner, so be mindful of a line, it's fairly quick regardless though. My business has used their catering service for about 200+ people, and it turned out wonderful. We did pulled pork sandwiches, beans, slaw and cornbread for sides. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They use to only take cash- but last time I was there I paid with my card no problem--hurray technology! Staff is friendly, and everything I've had on the menu is pretty darn good. I like getting the brisket or ribs with coleslaw and fries.

To be honest, I am not a big pork eater! My boyfriend wanted me to try it so I met him there for lunch! I can tell you I wasn't in love. Nothing was wrong with the taste but it didn't satisfy my the way it satisfied him. My it is a guys place but in all reality a lot of woman enjoy this place. It was tasteful but it is not my first pick!

Exercise caution going here this season. I flew out and my family drove me 30 miles to try this bbq and we get there and they have winter hours and close at 2. First off, winter hours for a bbq spot? This is the best time of year to eat bbq. Second, 2 o'clock? Really?? Not to mention they are closed on Monday. Call ahead I guess. Still don't know if the food is worth a damn.

We are recent transplants to Bellevue, and as we were driving through the downtown, we stumbled across this place. What a pleasant surprise! Very good pulled pork, and briskett. We all did sandwiches, but the ribs looked fantastic. They do have 2 house sauces, hot or mild. They are pretty sweet in my opinion, (I'm more of a vinegar BBQ sauce fan personally) but each were equally good. For a kids meal, and 2 sandwiches with sides our bill was just over $20. For the amount of food, this places is a BBQ bargain. The interior was very casual, clean and family friendly. On a few occasions, people stopped by to ask how our meal was. Looks like they do a TON of take out. I'm sure I will participate in that soon! Very good BBQ in my neck of the woods, we will be back, and fairly soon.
