Recently, my family and I went to New York City. While we were there, we found a pizza place that we ended up getting pizza twice from. Once we got back, we were searching for that same pizza locally. Sam and Louie's is pretty dang close to what we had in New York. Price was comparable to every other pizza place. The indoor area looked nice but I did carry out. The people were nice too. I will definitely order from here again.

Pizza is way too sweet. Wait staff are easily overwhelmed. Appetizers come out with your pizza and not before. Pizza is pricey (a large cheese pizza is $16.50). I prefer NY style, but not this. I'll stick to Don Carmelo's and Zio's.

The food at Sam and Louie's is okay, but what I had so far is not what I would consider outstanding. The restaurant menu has a selection of pasta, pizza, sandwiches and salads. Pizza is available by the slice. There is also a good selection of specialty pizzas. Only problem with those is that I find them quite expensive. Almost $17.00 dollars for a 10 inch specialty pizza. Kind of over the top for me. Sandwiches have been okay, but not something I would go out of my way for. Service is good. The restaurant runs specials throughout the week, so that could help with the expense. They are also willing to do fundraisers which I know our local scouts or schools might find helpful.

In Bellevue, we have number of pizza restaurants, as a matter of fact, in just about two blocks of Sam & Louie's there are 3 or 4 pizza spots. As in the number of spots the style and flavors vary in Bellevue. You can go cheap, you can go home baked, hot & ready, you can go commercial or you can go to a spot like Sam and Louie's which I assume is family owned with their own take on New York style pizza. If you like the ooiiee gooey cheesy thick crusted pizza that fills you up on two slices Sam & Louie's may not be your style. Don't get me wrong, I go to all the places I mentioned because at times I have a craving for different styles of pizza. Or, if you like the more commercial pizza's like Godfathers or Pizza Hut you may be disappointed. Or, if you are like me where you like almost all pizzas but prefer a style then Sam & Louie's might be right for you. However if you like thin chewy crust pizza...Sam and Louie's might be a home run. I don't frequent Sam and Louie's much only because I can eat a full pie in one seating I have a hard time just eating one or two slices. Which is sign they make good pizza. Their restaurant is nostalgic and the wait is a little longer when you visit the restaurant but their pizza is absolutely at its best coming right out of the oven when the cheese is still hot and stringy. We still love taking it out as well but remember it is thin crusted so it has a tendency to cool off faster than the ooiiee gooey type. My whole family loves their pizza and when we have leftover we often fight on who gets the last remaining slices that are in the refridgerator. My kids usually win because they make it home from school before I get home from work. Now with all that said, I do agree there are really good cheaper and faster options in Bellevue. No argument there. But if you are searching for a New York styled pizza in Bellevue, Sam and Louie's is a great option. Try their all meat Carnivore, our favorite! My family and I usually take advantage of their coupons or special deals which then makes it much easier on the pocket book. We like supporting the local small businesses like Sam & Louies. Like I said my family and I like most all types of pizza (even frozen) but we do have our favorites and Sam and Louie's is absolutely a fav in Bellevue. We ordered take out last night and the whole family swarmed it but I have hidden a slice in the refrigerator for tomorrow's lunch while still having a few leftovers for others in the family. Keep up the good work...we will absolutely be back.

Been searching for good pizza since moving to the Papillon area from NY. Sam & Louie's is the best I have been able to find. It's my go to pizza place when I have the need for pizza.

Just can not get over a pizza / pasta not offering wine. Not even cheap single serve. Last time coming.

Ordered two XL two topping Pizzas for my daughters party. It wasn't spectacular. The pizza's were big and everybody at the party seemed to enjoy it. Would order from them again.

Order before! I can't stress this enough unless you want to be sitting and waiting there before. It's also Sam and Louise PIZZA. I wouldn't recommend anything else honestly. There Pizza is good. Also. They have military discount. And if you go to bellevue East or West they have DECA cards and get you buy one get one 1.99. So that on a $20 XL pizza you're saving a lot of money. Really good pizza.

Had our sons birthday party with friends here (9 kids ages 2-7) and all got to make their own slice. The staff was great at entertaining the kids. We had carnivore and Hawaiian Luau pies which were great as well.

We eat here all the time. Their crust is fantastic! I'm normally a guy who throws his crust away but I eat it all here. We normally order 1 hamburger mushroom and a separate pepp with Romano cheese as the 2nd topping. The pizza is on the expensive side but they are huge and we usually have plenty of leftovers for a day or two. Not too sure about the 1 star review from the guy who was upset because they wouldn't give him a free slice to try. Not many places in Bellevue/Omaha give anything free unless you plan on buying something. Don't get all mad because you couldn't get a free slice. Highly recommended!

Some of the staff are really poorly trained and give really bad service. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes for 2 pizzas. Avoid this location.

Apparently the owner has decided to respond after several weeks. Unfortunately, he has responded with absolute lies and is throwing around the word "bullying" to gain sympathy. As the mother of a child who HAS been bullied, this is an insult. First of all, I only spoke to ONE person so, Sam, your claims that I "bullied" you and your cook are ludicrous. You are twice my size, I was in there for about 2 minutes (with two children) and spoke about 15 words in a normal voice, and the only cuss word I used was when I said "This is bullshit" in response to the way I was treated. When you tried to give me my change (less than $1.50), I slid it back across the counter and said "No, you keep it, apparently you need it more than I do." That's bullying? Not even close. Talk to a child who truly has been bullied before you go throwing that word around so carelessly. How dare you claim that you've been bullied! (My 11 year old daughter laughed when I told her about your comments. She didn't see any "cook" either and says "He must not know what bullying is.") Second of all, when I came in, I was treated with total rudeness and a condescending attitude which did nothing but make the situation worse. I am an educated woman with a background in law who is perfectly capable of reading and interpreting the language on the card. It clearly states "The amount contained on this card may be applied toward the purchase of food and beverage at any participating Sam & Louies NY Pizzeria. This card cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. This card cannot be redeemed for cash and no change will be given. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of these terms." She attempted to use the card exactly as the language indicated it was to be used, applied towards the purchase of food and drinks. She did not try to redeem it for cash or get change. I don't care if you call it a "prize certificate" or a "gift card" because that's just a matter of semantics. It DOES say on the front of the card that it is "A Gift from the Corporate Offices of Sam & Louie's" and it has a "$10 Value". It is a laminated card the size of a debit card or ID card. So a card that contains language on it stating that it is a gift would fit the very definition of "gift card." It does not say "prize" and it is not the size of a "certificate." Either way, we really have no interest in dining at any of your establishments again. This experience has made us lose our appetite for Sam & Louie's food which, according to some of the other reviews, isn't that great anyway. I have wasted more than enough time on this establishment. If Sam A. finds it necessary to get back on here and claim that I shouted profanities at his entire staff and called his grandmother the C-word and threw a bowl of marinara sauce all over his windows, he's more than welcome to post even more lies around if it makes him feel better. (After all, he's the one that stands to gain more from lying than I would. It doesn't affect me, my life goes on and I go back to getting my pizza from Valentino's.) But his time would be better spent getting those gift cards...oh, I'm sorry, those "prize certificates" reprinted so that the language matches his intentions. I understand the need to defend your business but honesty and good customer service would be much more effective. Please don't bother responding. I have nothing more to say. Clearly you don't care about losing our business and I don't care about your pizza. I'm sure you have other customers to tend to and we have other places we can go eat. Just move on.

Had my second visit here in about 5 years. And I remembered why I'd been staying away. We got enticed to going back through an Omaha Daily Deal and since I live in the area. We read all the fine print on the voucher- not good for daily specials, etc; daily special that day was a large 1 topping for $9.99, but since we had to avoid the special we got the Philly Steak pizza which was $22 for the large. 20 minutes later we go to pick it up and notice a sheet of computer paper taped to the window saying "we no longer accept daily deals". Odd considering we just printed the deal when we ordered and they are still listed as a site that is participating. Considered turning away right then but would've felt pretty bad about that, so we went in and talked to the girl at the counter. She was actually very nice, and I'm sure she's not the one making the decision but informed us there was an ownership change and that's why they couldn't accept the daily deal. So definitely disappointed, more because we would've just ordered the 1 topping for 60% less, and nothing was mentioned on phone or on their website which we did visit. But we paid and got on our way. Now I'll admit Philly Cheese Steak is somewhat a risky pick but we'd gotten it once at the Pizza Gourmet and enjoyed it, unfortunately this was not the case. The pizza itself had an ok taste but was very salty. I'd give it 2 stars for food alone. Most notably the pizza crust was cooked heavily on one side where the crust was very dark brown with specs of black, and the other side was doughy white. So obviously the oven has a heat source that requires that the pizzas be rotated at least once and this didn't happen. We called Daily Deal to get a refund the next day. They still listed that location as a location this could be redeemed at, and had no idea this particular location wasn't accepting them. Before they refunded us they wanted to call the business and confirm. The next day we were contacted by Daily Deal and they gave us the option of refund or using at another location. Well you can guess which one I chose. I would think the new business owner would either a) price the number of outstanding vouchers into the equation when he bought the business or b) continue to accept them since pizza is very low cost, at least when you compare that to negative customer experiences. At the very least I would've expected them to contact Daily Deal so that location would be removed but apparently Microsoft Word + tape is the route they chose. I can think of literally 5 pizza places in a quarter-mile of this business, and there really isn't any reason for me to go back.

Hit this place up for lunch with coworkers today. Waited 45 minutes for two slices of pizza which came out cold once we asked for them to put in to go boxes. The kitchen staff appeared disorganized and didn't have a clue what was going on. Bad customer service! Stay away!

We had a buy one get one free coupon so we decided to have pizza for dinner. I called in for carryout and the guy asked me what size I'd like and I said large. My husband heard me say large on the phone. When he got there, they had the extra large size cooked for our order. Instead of $16 it was $22. The pizza itself was good on the side that wasn't burnt. This is my second trip to this location and my husbands third. I've given them two chances to make a good pizza but I've been failed both times. Fool me once.....
