The last time I tried Dickeys was several years ago in the Seattle area. I wasn't enamored then so I walked into the recently opened Bellevue location with lowered expectations. Today didn't disappoint, meaning it was exactly as I remembered. This location is much smaller than what I remembered but was still accommodating with a variety of BBQ sauces to choose from and a free soft serve ice cream machine for the kiddos. Unbeknownst to my wife and me they were giving away free drinks to the first 100 customers and we were 98 & 99 literally there was one cup left. Yep that's right, I can't win the lottery but I can win a sweet tea from Dickeys! By the way, the sweet tea was delicious and I should know, I am a self proclaimed sweet tea expert! Okay the food: Brisket - 5/10 It was juicy and tender but lacked a smoke ring and consequently smoky taste. Polish sausage - 8/10 Great! Pulled Pork - 7/10 Delicious but light on the smoky flavor Baked Beans - 9/10 Delicious Fried Okra - 10/10 Delicious and better than Cracker Barrel...Nuff said! Jalapeno Beans 10/10 Mind blowing good and SPICY!!!!!!! Potato Salad - 7/10 Wife liked it, I didn't I still think Famous Daves is the defacto standard for fast food BBQ. Swine Dining in Bellevue is a close second. Dickeys is good and certainly worth a try but leaves a lot to be desired after each visit.

Okay, not my favorite barbecue restaurant, but it is very convenient given its location Food is acceptable, but several Mis-steps this evening. Both portions of barbecue had fat and gristle contained within. Very unpleasant and my wife's green beans came with the addition of paper that had been cooked in the beans, also not pleasant. Staff is friendly enough. Overall restaurant was very cold and did not provide a comfortable atmosphere for eating ones dinner I will likely avoid this location for awhile and when I am aching for barbecue, I"ll head down to Olde Town Bellevue instead.

I'd never been to a Dickey's before today, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I knew it was a BBQ joint, but beyond that, I knew nothing. Turns out that Dickey's is a quick-serve BBQ restaurant a-la Chipotle. You choose your meats, which are displayed under heat lamps, and cut right in front of you as you order. You then proceed down the line, pick side dishes, and pay for your order. I visited Dickey's at Twin Creek on their opening day, about an hour after they opened, expecting to see a very long line. I was somewhat surprised to see only about a dozen or so people waiting. The wait was quite short, and service was quick. As I approached the meat counter, I saw that there were several meats on display: brisket, pulled pork, and ribs at least. They also serve sausage, chicken, ham, and turkey, but I don't remember seeing those under the heat lamps. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, and decent sized portions were cut up of each one, and slapped onto my tray. Then it was time to choose sides--I went with green beans and macaroni and cheese. Finally, it was time to pay. Add a beverage, and the total for my meal comes to just shy of $15 bucks. Sounds like a little much for a plate of barbecue, but I resign myself to letting the flavor decide whether or not Dickey's is worth the price tag. (SPOILER ALERT: It's not). After grabbing a small cup of their spicy BBQ sauce (it's offered in original, sweet, and spicy), I sat down to eat. The first thing that I noticed was that the brisket looked very dry, and the pork looked inexplicably wet, like a meat rag that needed to be wrung out. I then tasted each without the BBQ sauce. Neither of them were discernably smoky, despite the incessant in-store advertisements for their hickory smoking process. Furthermore, they were both lukewarm. Perhaps they need to turn up the juice on their heat lamps, but squishy pulled pork served at the temperature of the human body is not exactly appealing. Alas, I doused the meats in the spicy BBQ sauce, and went about my meal. There was a noticable improvement in flavor and texture after adding the sauce to the brisket, but the pork did NOT benefit. The side dishes were a whole different adventure. I ordered the mac and cheese, and the green beans. Eating the mac and cheese was like a scavenger hunt where I tried to hunt for noodles in a sea of electric orange cheese product. It tasted a lot like Stouffer's mac and cheese, which I do not hold in high esteem. Then there were the green beans. They are a very pale shade of green, almost olive drab, and like the meats, they are deliciously tepid. The flavor is not bad, until the salt bomb goes off in your mouth. That's right, this entire side dish is just made of shaped and dyed salt crystals, cleverly disguised to look like green beans. The bottom line is that Dickey's isn't great by any stretch. If the food were cooked properly and served at a temperature above 98 degrees, Dickey's would be decent. If it were under 10 bucks, I may have even given it 3 stars. But really, the quality of ingredients is on par with fast food chains like McDonalds or Burger King, but the price is on par with trendy fast casual restaurants like Chipotle. I think I'll pass in the future.

I was so excited to see a new BBQ joint opening in Bellevue. You can never have enough BBQ. We waited a few weeks so the crowds died down before we came to visit. The tables are lined up family style and it was pretty busy that evening. We order their big family meal which had a pond of pork and a pound of brisket. I had their beans and coleslaw. They offer three different BBQ sauces to choose from and pickles and onions. I think our bill came to around $45.00 I was so excited to try it. The beans and coleslaw were OK. I didn't try to roles but they looked good. The brisket was extremely fatty, they did not cut-off the fat cap which made for a very disappointing experience. Brisket is my favorite. The chopped pork was OK and would have it again. I would rate this place higher but found the price to be too high for the quality of the product served.

I went there out of curiosity the other evening. The service was fast and friendly and the meat was pretty good but there were some downsides. The portions were very small. We had a total of 4 small sides to divi up.the mac n cheese was ok..cole slaw lacked a binder. It was like eating plain chopped vegetables. The baked potato casserole lacked flavor and the jalapeño beans had no jalapeños in it and no flavor or kick at all. The brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were good and their sauce was pretty good. I would go again..but definitely wouldnt become a regular.

Not good. Ordered the Family Pack. The meat was precut and pulled out of a metal drawer which made me ask if the meat was actually cooked on site. They assured me that it was. Got the brisket and the turkey. The brisket was dry and the turkey was so weirdly thick and textured that it reminded me of elementary school turkey. That weird pressed turkey loaf that we all dreaded. The potato salad was not good. The "BBQ" beans tasted like Pork and Beans with some BBQ sauce added. I won't be going back.

I went for the first time with my girlfriend and being a BBQ snob I didn't have any high expectations. I must say I was greatly satisfied with the pricing and portion sizes. The place was packed and always is so I'm not sure why the lousy reviews but food was great and will be back often and recommended to many friends who will be visiting soon.

Didn't like this place at all. I had the most in greet able experience. I guess there was a worker that was gay and he went off to giving an attitude about chickafil not accepting gays. Also they wouldn't hire him or somewhat. But the food wasn't as good as I would imagine it. The worker came back I gave me an attitude about I can have free tea all I wanted. At 1st I didn't realize this worker was mad at me directly he was just mad at everything else. Also I had a minor food poisoning experience after eating here. Wouldn't go back. Give them a one star because of poor quality of food and bad attitude during work hours. Keep your attitude in check and remember that your working and they pay you to do a service without any bad mouth towards any other chain of restaurants. And I like gays.

After a disappointing experience at another restaurant, we came here for a quick meal. It was in the evening so I wanted to see the difference from the lunch rush. I oredered the same pulled pork bbq sandwich, waffle fries and cole slaw. The taste is just so good, i am a huge fan now! Now, there are a couple of things I hope they improve. The waffle fries were barely warm. I would recommend they only cook to order the fries in the evening. I guess I should have asked for fresh fries. I also noticed some employees drinking behind the counter with their plastic gloves on. No drinking or eating should ever happen in food prep areas. It's just not appetizing! However the staff was friendly and knowledgable. The one girl cutting the meat allowed me to try a rib. I thought it was a little salty for my taste-was the end bone which might have had something to do with it.

I really wanted to like this place because it was so close to my house but It just did not hit the mark. The rolls were good, the meat was so-so but all of the side dishes were terrible. For the price the food should have been a lot better. Sorry, but next time I'll drive a bit farther and go to Swine Dining.
