Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Food 4 Likelihood 3 1-5 (5 Best!) 3.8 This was our first trip to the Famous Parker's Smokehouse. I have heard so much from so many. We were greeted right away, thank you! It was unusually dark inside, almost too dark to read the menu well. The candle on the table offered little help. Our server was young and pleasant. She brought our drinks and appetizer quickly. She did a great job with the tour of sauces. She was not able to tell us what the dipping sauce for the blooming onion. Within a few minutes of delivering the appetizer the food arrived. We barley touched the onion. With the appetizer left on the table, and our dinner, it didn't leave enough room for us to eat comfortably. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I would not say the portions were large, generous, or "home style portions" as I heard so much of. I certainly paid well for what I was given. One person sent their sandwich back because only 1/2 of it had meat on it. The restroom was VERY clean, stocked and smelled good. GOOD JOB! Thank you. OVERALL, it was a nice difference from our usual BBQ joint in Omaha. Probably not enough of a difference for me to make an extra 20 minute drive. I would certainly promote it and try it again. I will admit I was a little let down compared to all the hype about it. It is VERY good food, and you will pay big city prices for big city portions.

Brought a group of 15 college students here for lunch on a tour through Nebraska. Hailey, our server was wonderful. The food was great and even though we ordered off of the lunch menu the portions were huge. The catfish fingers were really great! If I ever get back through on I 80, it is a definite place I would want to eat again.

We ended up here after dropping in at the lodge at Mahoney State Park as well as the steakhouse that was hosting the testicle festival. Both were dirty and disgusting and did not look like they would be good options. After an awkward conversation with my daughters about testicles, we decided to head to Ashland to see if we might find a better option. We did. Parkers is located in a blue warehouse right between a mechanic shop and a parts store. All three businesses are in identical warehouses which serves to lower expectations before you go in. We were seated quickly and our friendly waitress suggested we order the family platter. The platter is for 4-6 people and it easily fed our hungry party of 6. A side of sweet potato fries made a perfect combination. The ribs are amazing, the brisket is tender and the sauces are tasty. The original sauce is perfect on the meat and the liquid gold is amazing on the sweet potato fries and potato wedges. When we were completely full, our waitress told us we should try the peanut butter pie because it is Emily Parker's own recipe. She said it as though we should know who Emily Parker is. After trying the pie, I can honestly say that I wish I did know Emily. Her pie is awesome and I'm still thinking about it 5 days later. If you are passing through Ashland, definitely stop in here. It would even be worth the drive from Omaha if you are looking for some tasty BBQ in an unexpected place. Right now, I'm rearranging my return trip itinerary so that I can stop in again.

I found this place on Yelp while traveling back to Iowa from Lincoln. It was a Saturday night so expected as expected. We decided to sit at the bar as it was full service. It took quite some time for the bartenders to acknowledge us and take a drink order. Then I asked for menus, which took a whole also. Got our order in and our food came in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the 3 meat combo to share. Catfish, ribs, and brisket. The catfish and ribs were incredible. The brisket had good flavor but was dry. The only place that really does brisket great is in the south, but this was good just dry. The cornbread was also very good. Reasonable prices, good tasting food. Definitely worth the 3 mile drive north of the interstate.

Hot diggity dog! Split the sampler with "she who must be obeyed." It was enough to sate our appetites and even our greedy dogs too! The chicken strips were really good. Rib tips Yammy Yammy! All the sauces we tried were good too. Who has bomb catfish, food barbecue AND good sauces? They do.
(5)Brandi W.
Excellent food, awesome service! Were from Chicago and would def stop and eat here again! Loved it!
(5)Jan D.
We ate there on our way home from a football game in Waverly. Honestly one of the best barbecue we've ever had - anywhere! The 1/2 platter that allows a sampling of many items was huge - and a wonderful way to try a variety of meats. The sides - baked beans, coleslaw, apples, cornbread, and baked potato were all just delicious. All the sauces were good too - especially the Original and Honey Mustard - although our ribs were great without sauce. We'll definitely return with friends and family and want to try the Omaha location too. Our waiter, Austin, was terrificl - knowledgeable, funny, efficient - all in all, a fine young man.

Stopped here after reading some other reviews. This place is amazing! Try the Nebraska Melt if you want just a sandwich.

First thing to mention is the BBQ platter for 2.... It is massive & truly a full meal for a family of 4. It was piled with ribs, chicken, pork, beef & 4 massive sides. For the price, I have not seen this much food!!!! Second thing is the food is very good. All of the meat was flavorful, tender & moist, just like good BBQ should be. The "regular" sauce was very good, although I can't speak for the other 2 sauces because we didn't try them. The sides were just as good as the meat. You can tell when beans & slaw are packaged or canned, and these are definitely not either. The beans were stuffed with shredded meat, the slaw was juicy, the massive steak fries were cooked perfectly, and the cooked apples were well seasoned. The only reason I dropped a star off this review is they did not have beef ribs on the menu. Don't get me wrong, we love good pork ribs but given the option, we would take beef ribs every time. The facility itself is very clean & well maintained. The staff was super friendly, and the service was fast. All-in-all.... Great food. Great prices.. Great choice if you want quality BBQ.

WOW! This is absolutely the BEST BBQ in the area and defiantly worth the drive from Omaha! To start, we had a short wait. While we were waiting we heard this loud cow bell start ringing! I asked the Bartender if that meant another cow was thrown into the smoker and he laughed and said, "Nope, he's just getting ready to bring out hot link samples." Samples I thought, wow who brings out samples of their food? See the picture for more. Well it was great hot links! I recommend, EVERYTHING! I had the Rib and Meat (Brisket) combo. It was cooked perfectly. The perfect smoke ring on the brisket and the ribs came off the bone perfectly too! The cornbread muffin, well I thought I was back in Texas eating great home made BBQ. Well I was partially right. Everything at Parkers is homemade! I tried all of their sauces and the Original was the best. Now don't get me wrong, I go for the hottest a BBQ place has and I tried their from the kitchen by request Habanero one and it was nice and spicy, but didn't have the heat. Nice zip though. But for overall flavor with the smoke on the meat, the Original was the perfect match. It is definitely nice to get away form the city and this is one of the best excuses to get out. Make a reservation so there will be a table waiting for you when you get there! If you don't like any of the meats or anything from there, just bring it to me and I'll gladly eat it for you and hit you in the head with a SPORK!
(5)Moira R.
This is the best BBQ restaurant in the Omaha area. Granted, it is a bit of a drive, but it is worth it. If you have enough people to justify it, try their sampler platters. It is a good way to try a lot of their options. I love their corn muffins and cole slaw, and they have some of the best potato wedges around. They have 5 different BBQ sauces on each table so you can sample them all and choose your favorite. I would suggest making a reservation if you are going for dinner on a weekend - it can get pretty crowded. They have a party room available and also do really great catering (deliver the food along with anything you could possibly need - wet naps, serving dishes, serving spoons, etc.).

Pulling off an exit for fuel I noticed a sign for Parker's Smokehouse. My gut was saying it was dinnertime so after fueling we drove the 3 mile drive from I-80 to Parker's. The 5 minute drive was definitely worth it! Ordered the ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork to-go. All were fantastic and the pulled pork was the best I've ever had!! Very juicy and great smokey flavor. The gold mustard-base sauce was my favorite for the pork. Great job!! excellent BBQ!!

I read a number of good reviews here for this place so we tried it. Walking in the door the smell is amazing! I was excited. Unfortunately we had a negative experience. Food came out cold. Like cold cold. However, the taste was fantastic. Even though we had a bad experience, I'm still giving this place 4 stars. And for good reason. First, the server we had was really impressive. All he wanted to do was make us happy, that was clear. Even the manager came over and apologized. I think they handled this situation extremely well. My only advice to this place would be watch the temperature inside. It had to have been 65 degrees or less in there. So it was a little uncomfortable sitting. I had to run outside to grab a pullover from the car. It wasn't just me, it was clear looking around that people were not comfortable. Second would be make sure all the food is hot. I got hot chicken, cool ribs, and potatoes that were very cold. I'll be back, as I think this was not the norm for this place. Like I said, the taste was really good.
(4)Trey B.
Was extremely pleased with our visit. Staff was friendly and food was excellent! Large portions at a reasonable price. The catfish was excellent. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive from Lincoln.
(5)Scott C.
Wow, great find. Kinda out in the middle of nowhere, but certainly worth leaving the Interstate for. Had lunch, was excellent food & service. Go!

The location of this place is incorrect on several different references around the web. If you're having trouble finding it, then know it is at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 63 near Ashland, Nebraska (get off I-80 at Exit 420 and head North). I ordered the Three Meat Combo with Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken, and Hot Links. I had them add a couple of Pork Ribs to it as well. For my two sides I chose the Baked Beans and the Romano Potatoes. The meal also came with a Cornbread Muffin. Pulled Pork: Good. Didn't get much smoke flavor from it, but it was moist and cooked to perfect tenderness. It seemed under-portioned on my plate. BBQ Chicken: Okay. A little dry. Tasted like it could have just been cooked on someone's backyard grill. I didn't get much of a barbecue taste from it. I had a breast-wing piece. Hot Links: Good. Smoked sausage would be a better name for this meat. There was absolutely no heat to those links at all. So, you really cannot call them Hot Links. Good flavor. Pork Ribs: Okay. Again, not much smoke flavor to the meat. I didn't taste any rub at all either. Mostly they just taste like slow cooked pork. They could have been cooked in a crockpot or oven and achieved the same results, so it's hard to imagine these spent hours in a smoker. I think this must have just been an off day for their ribs and most others seem to really like them. Sauce: They have a selection of 5 sauces. Original (typical sweet BBQ sauce), Hot & Spicy, Texas Red (a little more vinegar to this one), Special Sauce (I believe they rotate what is in this one), and a Mustard-Base Sauce. All are very good. You can also request a super hot Habanero BBQ Sauce but there's a small charge for it. Sauces are all very good and impressive for house made BBQ sauces. Wait staff can give you a whole presentation on the sauces and characteristics of each and which one pairs best with which meats. Baked Beans: Very Good. Small portion (3oz). Romano Potatos: Very Good. Rich dish of cheesy potato goodness. Cornbread Muffin: Good. Standard cornbread muffin. For this place being named a Smokehouse and selling barbecue, I really expected a lot more smoke flavor to the meat. I'm a guy that likes an overtly smoke-forward flavor to my BBQ. Otherwise, it tastes like "Oven-Q." Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. They have a great wait staff working Monday dinners. If you're a BBQ aficionado and want awesome hardwood smoked barbecue, then Hartland BBQ in Omaha (Benson) and Swine Dining BBQ in Bellevue are both better options. That's not to say that the BBQ at Parker's should be avoided/ It's good BBQ and you should definitely give it a try. However, there is better BBQ in the Omaha metro area. Restaurant was clean and well-maintained.

Some of the best BBQ I have had anywhere. We ordered the family feast which feeds 4-6. It was a great deal and no one left hungry. My favorite was the ribs, which had a nice smoke ring. The brisket was also very tasty. Ashland is about 35 miles from our house, but it was well worth the drive.
(5)John E.
Big place for a crossroads destination. Attentive staff. Focused menu. Had beef brisket... Was a bit dry. Portions were nice altogether with sides but the actual beef brisket portion was a bit on the small side. It's worth a look.
(4)Keith D.
The peanut butter pie that was so praised is not that good. The Reese's peanut butter cup gad more flavor. The crust was at least a 1/2inch thick and no flavor. Not worth the trip!
(1)Dallas J.
Went here to watch a football game. Don't recommend it. The food was very good but wouldn't come here to watch tv!
(3)Brian W.
Awesome! The food was excellent and plentiful. The wait staff was attentive and enjoyed their company. It's an out of the way hole in the wall place (for me, that is the places I enjoy going to) that one might have to drive a bit to get there, but I would say it's worth it.
(4)Gail T.
Best BBQ I have had anywhere near Omaha! The sauces are delicious and they have the best baked beans I have ever had. The decor isn't all that interesting, but the food and service more than make up for the first impression. My 8 year old son is a notoriously slow eater, but he attacked his bbq pork sandwich and is already begging to come back. We will happily comply with that request!
(5)Sarah G.
Appetizers were awesome. My side (mashed potatoes and gravy.... nom nom nom) was great, but the main event so to speak was a little disappointing. Our stop at Parker's came after a long day of golf at Ironhorse, so you'd think that BBQ would hit the spot perfectly... and things started out well with an impressive sauce demonstration and spot on cajun catfish strips and rib tips. Having one of my infamous indecisive moments (because EVERYTHING sounded great) I pulled the 'what's your favorite menu item' on our server. She talked glowingly about the Texas Beef Brisket sandwich. Honestly not something I'd normally order, so maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as I apparently should have... but there we are. Part of the issue might also have been the time delay between ordering and eating. In that period my appetizers and beer had a chance to settle and I could just not have been as excited about eating by then (though that seems highly unlikely). After one bite, I ended up picking at the meat with a fork while leaving the rotella's bun on the side... that's just not me, an admitted carb-a-holic, which suggests something was off. Just thinking about BBQ now makes me want more, and I'd definitely give Parker's another go, but would probably order differently.
(3)Bradley R.
Doesn't look like much, but delicious. The place was hopping on a Saturday night, but we were able to sit at the bar. Even had a chance to chat about beer with the bartender.
(5)Chris D.
Visited Parker's on a Saturday afternoon. Service was great, especially for the fact that we had a party of 15! We started out with the rib tips for an appetizer. They had a great smoky flavor and were moist and tender. I had the 2 meat combo dinner and picked pork and brisket. The pork wasn't shredded as I had anticipated, but was in small chunks. It had a good smoky flavor and was very tender. The brisket was cut in thicker slices. I was surprised that there was not a red ring around the outside of the slices which typically indicates a perfectly smoked piece of meat. The brisket did indeed have a smoky taste to it, but definitely not the most tender brisket I've ever had...definitely on the dry side. No hint of the red ring on the brisket...seemed overcooked somehow. I did want to try their ribs, so I ordered 3 ribs that Parker's offers to add to any meal. Definitely enjoyed the ribs...they sported a red ring and proved to be very tender with good flavor. Most meals come with a corn muffin which are very good. The muffins are less cake-like and lean more toward regular corn bread which I prefer. I may have given it 4 stars hadn't it been for the brisket. If you haven't been out to Parkers yet I'd give it a try...it's worth the drive.
(3)Jason L.
Yum! Great sauces, brisket, and rotisserie chicken salad. Worth the drive from Omaha!
(5)Eb F.
Just about anyone can do ribs and pulled-pork, it's practically fool-proof. But when I want BBQ, I'm thinking brisket. To me good brisket is an art form. Too many places focus solely on ribs and treat brisket like an after thought. Not Parkers, they do brisket very well. Good, solid smoke-ring, great flavor. If anything, perhaps trimmed a little too lean. Call me old-fashioned, but I like that ribbon of fat. When done right it's like butter. You get a nice sauce presentation before your meal and the sauces are all very good. We especially liked the Hawaiian and the mustard based, very creative and interesting. And the "Fire-starter" really brings the heat. Everything we had was delicious! The batter-dipped steak fries and onion rings are not to be missed. Even the sides were not the usual boring fare, but tasted like something they'd given a lot of thought and perfected. Service was better than one sometimes expects from a small town, Our server, Morgan, was most delightful; attentive to our needs, very friendly and we never felt rushed. The manager - I didn't catch her name - stopped by for a chat and made us feel like our business was appreciated. This is not my favorite BBQ, but it ranks very high. Their attention to detail and overall quality of everything presented is to be commended. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The prices are good, the service is good and friendly, and the food is all very good! And when you go, save room for the awesome Carrot Cake. We asked to split a piece and she did just that. Even our half pieces were more than we could finish. Took home just enough of everything for a yummy midnight snack. Can hardly wait to get back and try their Smoked Prime Rib.

I've been to Parker's on more than one occassion both the Ashland and Lincoln locations. I'm not a fan of BBQ and I don't eat pork. That being said Parker's is my favorite BBQ restaurant. It is always a fun experience and our waitstaff has always been wonderful and really made the experience. They are very knowledgable when it comes to knowing there BBQ and are more than willing to offer helpful suggestions. I'm not one for writing reviews but I was very dismayed when some of the reviews posted. Kerry L. gave her side of the story and didn't explain what she had emailed to Jeff Parker. I found this on Urban Spoon posted by Jeff Parker himself. Hi Kerry, Judging by your comments we don't seem to be a good fit for each other. I would suggest you try someplace else to eat. If you choose to dine with us again, keep your thoughts to yourself. If you don't return, better yet. Sincerely, Jeff Parker On Jun 16, 2012, at 12:42 AM, Kerry Lundstrom wrote: First of all, I have been to Parker's several times and had no idea there was an "Emily and you". Are you ever there? Neither of you have certainly ever come up to my table or greeted me at the door. The reason for the email is that I love the food but I'm suggesting a couple improvements. 1) offer baby back ribs - I have never enjoyed your spareribs and they have never been tender 2) change the lettuce selection on your salads. The flimsy lettuce you serve ruins the salad. 3) advertise the correct beer glass on your site. Your beer glasses don't look like that. Or buy beer glasses that do. 4) improve the atmosphere at the one in Ashland. Do some remodeling, change the decor, and do something about the noise level. The noise ruins a persons meal. I do think Parker's is better than famous Dave's overall but it should make the improvements noted. Please don't change the chicken strips or the muffins. Thank you Kerry I think Jeff handled the situation very well. I'm a Business Major and while for the most part you want to please the customer. You can't please everyone and sometimes it is necessary for an owner or employee to end the relationship. Kerry's started off extremely rude and they could have offered their "suggestions" in a more friendly, non-insulting way. My overall advice is to try Parker's for yourself and make up your own opinions. Maybe it will be a good fit and maybe not. It is worth at the very least to try once.
(5)Lelay P.
Omg-- the beef they serve here are happy cows. The onion flower is the best I had ever had.
(5)Lisa X.
I LOVE this restaurant. I went here one night for the first time with a bunch of friends, some from Omaha, and some from Lincoln so this was a good halfway meeting point for us. The servers that waited on us were so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. They brought out (and explained to us) all the BBQ sauces and some fries to try them with. There were eleven of us and everyone's order came out perfect. I had the two meat combo that came with corn bread, and 2 sides, of which I picked the baked beans and cole slaw. The meat was awesome and I really liked the sides too. Drinks were refilled without asking which I think is always a good sign of service. I even filled out a comment card to let them know how well I liked the food, the atmosphere, and the service. I will go back here again and again. Try this place, it's great.
(5)Robert M.
Ribs are tender and delicious! We got the feast for two and it was a ton of food! We are big brisket fans and it was a little dry but still good. Service was great!
(4)Pepper P.
I had no idea that Nebraska would have great BBQ!! This place is really unassuming but their smoker is beyond reproach. Original BBQ ribs are off the bone great. Amazing cornbread, steak fries and I'm taking home a slice of their homemade carrot cake next time. The roasted chicken was a smidge dry, but you can fix it right up with their spectacular sauces that they will showcase for you on your first visit! Good, quick, friendly service... Green light. Go! ... I just read the listing by Kerry L. I would disagree with her assessment of the ribs, and the salad really is pretty lame, but am somewhat dismayed by the response of the owner. There is a much better was to handle criticism. Even if it is not constructive.
(4)Roderigo S.
After hearing such good thing, I was looking forward to some good bbq. Unfortunately the hype did not match the food nor facility. First bad impression, filthy men's room with no hand towels. Made me wonder how the staff washed their hands. Second bad impression, the show on sauces. Not needed, I can experiment on my own thank you. Third bad impression, horrible shoe leather brisket. Sent it back and supposedly was given brisket from a different batch. Same result, horrible meat. First impressions are the ones that last and they made a horrible first impression.
(1)Donnie H.
A buddy and I split a Famous Dave's esque trash can feast out here and everything was pretty good. I'm not a big sauce guy, but they had several mustard and tomato based options and did a good job explaining them before the meal came out. Spare Ribs- Decent smoke, fairly meaty. Good enough. Brisket- Excellent. Not as good as Boxer's, but slices were thick, tender and tasty. Pulled Pork- Extremely moist and flavorful. I enjoyed it, but my buddy thought it tasted a little ham like, so he was a little turned off. Sides- Beans were o.k., coleslaw was fresh and could have been great but lacked flavor, fries were thick cut ala Famous Daves. Other options included apples, steamed veggies and the like. All the sides were fine, but nothing to bring you back. Bottom Line: Worth the trip if you are a junky, you will enjoy the meal. If you are close to a Parker's location than by all means...go for it.
(4)Lynne N.
This place is off the charts great! We have been for the past few years and we are never disappointed with the food and service. Highly recommend dropping in sometime...will be worth it. Tip - if you plan on having room for their peanut butter pie...place your order when ordering your meal...they've run out on a busy night and you don't want to miss out!
(5)J C.
Ate here on a saturday afternoon and there was some biker fundraiser going on which was a little annoying. i dont mind a loud restaurant but it was ridiculous. As far as the food I really dig it. Brisket sandwich was really good. Mashed potatoes were great. Sauces all good and am looking forward to coming back when there are not a couple hundred bikers gettin loopy so they can drive to bar after bar gettin loopier and loopier.
(4)Mary F.
Great service and friendly people plus good food = success. Parker's Smokehouse has a welcoming atmosphere and can accommodate any size group even has a private dining area. We appreciated the HOT home fries to sample the many different sauces they feature. We got to sample the hot wing sausage - wow, great flavor. I had a salad with choice of pulled pork, or steak or chicken. I went with the pulled pork & had the chipotle-ranch dressing. It was too large for me to finish, but everything was fresh and great. Hubby had ribs; most were meaty, a few fatty. Great corn muffins even though we had read the review that they didn't like them; we really did, but we're southerners.. The steak salad was great, large portion and meat cooked perfectly with a little kick of flavor. Though we were offered dessert, our waitress never came around for our orders & brought our bill instead. We had the local Nebraska beers: all great. Worth the short trip from Lincoln to eat here even though there's a Parker's in Lincoln.
(4)Sam S.
Stopped for lunch earlier this week. I had the brisket sandwich and it was very good. If you have ever smoked food before you can appreciate this place. The brisket was pulled, not sliced. Typically restaurants will slice brisket because it takes a LONG time to smoke brisket slowly and get it to the high internal temp to pull it. Awesome brisket. This shows they actually put in some work on their bbq. The sides were really good. The server was really good. She had a southern accent and knew her bbq also. The GM gave me a tour of the kitchen so I could see the smoker. Very cool setup. They smoke only with hickory which gives good flavor w/o overpowering the meat. I have a smoker so I very rarely eat bbq from restaurants. They just don't put in the time. Parkers does...and they do it well.
(4)Matt M.
We have been eating here since it started as Rib Ranch in Lincoln. I am happy to report that the food is still wonderful. The brisket, pork and hot links are all great. Try the pit master sandwich - its a combo of all three for under ten bucks! The beans are great here also.
(5)Dean B.
Excellent lunch stop on Sunday visits to the museum. Can't go wrong with the pit master sandwich and some fries.
(5)Isabelle L.
Four stars for the unbelievable and amazing smoked prime rib which is the weekend special. I would go back just for that dish. The flavor was just right and the meat melted in the mouth, simply perfect. Service was friendly and efficient. Our waiter took the time to explain the different sauces and provided some steak fries prior to the meal to facilitate the sauce testing. They have a full bar with a few local micro brews on tap, a nice plus. The pulled pork and corn bread were also good. The only downer was the beef brisket which was a bit dry. Overall a nice meal and did I already mention I would come back in a heart beat for the smoked prime rib?
(4)Paul O.
I got the Feast for 2 which came with Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket and four sides. I thought the ribs were very good, they were the highlight of the meal. They were tender, smoky, and came off the bone cleanly. The sauce was served on the side, which is also a must. Ribs get a B+ from me. The brisket was decent. It had a good flavor, it was pretty tender. Not the best brisket I've ever had, but it's way better than the Brisket I've had at other places. I give the brisket a B-. The pulled pork was not my favorite. It's not that it was bad, it just had a very salty briny taste. Maybe we just got a bad batch. It gets a C for me because it was tender and moist. The sides were okay. I only had the steamed vegetables (good!) and the coleslaw (okay). I'd give them a C+ for what I had. There was a nice variety of sauces here, which was nice. Most places offer one or two sauces maximum, and they are usually not made by the restaurant. The sauces at Parker's appear to be made locally by the restaurant and they're all very good. I give the sauces an A-. I think this place is worth a drive from Omaha or Lincoln for the ribs and brisket coupled with their sauce.
(4)Shaun S.
The Prices are a bit high. The BBQ is very good. There is really no need for the BBQ sauce dog and pony show. Just take the order.
(4)P.J. H.
This review is for the Ashland, NE location. I know it's not in Omaha, but I had occasion to dine here recently, the menu is extensive and features all the requisites such as ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. There are some local favorites as well. I had the St. Louis ribs, and they were not as tender as I'd hoped, more like a baby back style. They were flavorful but a bit chewy. Still, they came off the bone pretty cleanly. The restaurant features five of its own sauces, and I found the golden mustard version to be my favorite, if a bit sweet to the taste. I'll have to give this place another try to see if the rest of the menu exceeds expectations. For now, though, I'd say stop in if you are in the area and hungry, but don't travel just for the food.
(3)Bill M.
If you happen to be in Ashland, this is a solid place to eat. The servers go through an extravagant show of the sauces to first time eaters, though none of the sauces are super spicy. The brisket sandwich was very tasty, and the sweet potato fries were a great side.
(4)Mike H.
We just met some friends from Lincoln here and we thought it would be a good place to stop. And we were right! It was busy on a Friday night, but the place is quite large. The menu is extensive -- not just BBQ but also burgers and other sandwiches. It has a good size kids menu as well. They have an extensive selection of sauces and they demonstrated them nicely. The waitress put a smear of each BBQ sauce on a plate, talked about each one, and then gave us some fries to sample them with. I liked the Hot and Spicy (which went well with my ribs) while my wife liked the Honey Mustard (which went well with her pulled pork). The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about what to have. And, as I said, they were busy but we never felt ignored. Was this the best BBQ I've ever had? No, but it was still very good. I will be back!
