The food was good when you got it. We both ordered burgers in the bar. Beer was cold. Service is slow and the kitchen is really slow. The server actually told us it's going to take a while for our food due to 2 new cooks in the kitchen, we had already been waiting about 15 minutes. Took about 45 minutes to get our food. I will go back and see if the service is any better.

Slow service at times. Found a chicken bone in my chicken pasta. But I continue to go because they are friendly and it's close to my hotel.

Where to start.... Since we were not from town we thought this place from the outside looked good. We pull ourselves up to the bar thinking the service would be fast... Not the case. It took 8 mins to get a beer and about 15 mins after that to get an order placed. We got the chicken wings as an app, the meat was still pink, then the salads came where the lettuce looked like it came out of a compost pile, all wilted and soggy. All I could think about is how bad my $16 steak was going to be. Sure enough it was overcooked and definitely not fresh meat as it tasted like it was frozen. I don't know how they stay in business with bad food quality and crapy service!

This town desperately needs a better choice of restaurants it seems. Looks like plenty of fast food but really needs a place that specializes in serving a big ol' steak. Grizzlys was sort of meh. We had to wait about 20 minutes in this sort of corridor between a bar and the main restaurant. Awkward as everyone coming into and out of the place runs smack into people waiting. So it's a Saturday and they were obviously short handed. Tables needed clearing and food coming out was really slow. They advertised a prime rib special but we were told at 6:20 that they were already out. Bummer. Went with the ribeyes then which were fine I guess. One thing to try is the knoephla soup which is sort of a regional German variety that was tasty. I would have given a 4 star if they hadn't been shorthanded and slow.

I tend to stay away from franchise places because as a chef I'm very picky with my food. However, I decided to stop here for a bite and as I sit here I'm disgusted. I was told the cooks put a 10 minute hold on cooking because they had gotten slammed earlier, but it took 20 minutes to get a drink and 15 more just to order. So I order potato skins as an app and within 45 seconds, yes 45 seconds, it was on my table. So I have old grease soaked skins that had extra cheese melted on them to cover up the fact that they were reheated. Not even going to get into the entree but this has to be one of the absolute worst dining experiences I've ever had!! If your kitchen staff has no pride in what they serve, you should reevaluate who you have representing your restaurant.

GREAT PLACE TO STOP ON A ROAD TRIP !!!! On our way back to the Cities from Bismark, this was an easy on easy off lunch stop. Even though it is a chain (cough) I have to say I LOVE the interior décor. Love the outdoorsy lodge feeling. Makes me feel all naturey inside. Walking inside to face the rotisserie grill with it's warmth was a nice touch. Good fung shui. Our server was training in a new lady, so we got 2 for one. My ice tea was just fine, and really liked the lunch menu prices. I thought the burgers were a little overpriced. However, I would pay that much for a cheeseburger with fried cheese curds on top. Knowing I was to spend the next few hours sitting in a car, I opted against that choice. So I had a beef brisket sand on focaccia with a cranberry pecan salad. Weird, some of the brisket slices were melt in the mouth, and others were tough. Funny how that works out?? My son had the spicy chicken sand with a salad too, and he was ok with it. Not outstanding, but adequate. Service was a tad slow for a lunch, with not much of a crowd. We sat in the bar area and felt right at home here. It probably could stand a deep cleaning, but all in all it is clean enough. I like it. The dinner menu looked like it had many items I would like to try. Another road trip I guess. WHERE IS THE NEAREST G R I Z Z L Y ' S ? ? ?

So I'm in town from Denver Colorado for work. I'm here for a week and the company is covering the cost. We're to eat? Go to yelp, see the number of reviews for the dozen or so establishments in town. After doing some recon and looking at menus I hit the town. Obviously I'm a bit turned off by the previous reviews of the Grizzly and the first couple nights hit up what my fellow yelpers consider safe. Safe=boring, hell I ended up at Applebees for God sakes! Here's the thing, most of the grizzly reviews are some winery bitch taking about something stupid or something pretentious... I looked at the menu, fire grilled meat. I look at the beer list, lots of craft beer. "To hell with it" I say, "I'm going to give'em a shot." Best decision I've made since coming into town. The fire grill is great! I've had the mango-habinaro wings 3 night in a row! The beer list was better then it looked on paper! They support local breweries ( which is super important to me) I had a scotch ale from Fargo Brewery, a Big bear ale that's is brewed specially for the Grizzly as well as a number of others. The service was good too. I sat in the bar and felt that the servers were very attentive to my needs and all-in-all they seem to have a good team chemistry. As I mentioned, I've been coming here the past 3 nights and have zero complaints. I've got one more night in town and believe I'll be back tomorrow for there wood fire prime rib, the guy next to me is eating it right now and it looks and smells amazing! P.s. go to their website and download a free appetizer coupon!

Had dinner at Grizzly's Grill -- A bowl of beer can chili, and the Bourbon Salmon (which was on special). Both were solidly good but not great. They were busy that night but service was timely and attentive.

I don't care if I get a $1000 gift card to this place, I will never eat here again. Took 20 minutes to even be asked about drinks, no mint for Mojitos, blackened salmon was too salty to even think about consuming, and their gift card reader was broken that evening so we couldn't even pay with the reason we came here in the first place, a $50 Christmas gift. Ridiculous. Never change Grizzlys, never change.

This place has gone down hill in food quality. Sucks and not worth the money, Go to Applebees instead. Same price and way better taste. A friend of mine used to work there, they microwave everything, from potatoes, to ribs, to even steaks. So please don't support places like this.

Food is alright. I've tried multiple items on the menu now and have not been disappointed. The service can be hit and miss. Sometimes when you go in the servers are great and actually provide service throughout the meal. Recently the servers have stopped by once to get the drink order and once for the food order. Since someone else brings out the food they are usually not seen again until it's time for the check.

Where do I start!? After being on the road for a few hours, I checked into my hotel and proceeded to walk to the nearest restaurant. Luckily for me, it was Grizzly's! I walked by and smelled the steaks and chicken on the grill and thought it was going to be a good idea. I pulled up a seat to the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender (after she greeted someone that sat down after me) and then served a Fat Tire (5 minutes after she served the gentlemen that walked in after me). Apparently if you're not a regular here, you're not given special attention. She proceeded to ask what I wanted in the most pleasant attitude ("know what you want yet?"). Well, shoot, I have a question. How's the brisket? "Oh, I never heard anyone complain". Well has anyone ever enjoyed it? "I assume so because no one said nothing bad". Oh, well if that's your logic, sign me up!! After receiving my salad, I ate it. (That's the good part of this review. I literally ate it.) A few minutes later, my beautiful plate of brisket showed up. It appeared as though a cat puked on one side of the plate. I believe that was an attempt as cheesy hash browns. The main area of the plate was covered with beautiful coal colored brisket with sauce squirted on it by the same pukey cat. Yummmmmy. I almost finished a whole piece! I figured I finished my salad like a big boy, so that was enough to justify a nightcap before heading back to the homestead of the week. I first apologized to the bartender because I had to bother her to get out of the booth where she was flirting with the local Barney Fife and then asked her if I could have a Glenlivet on light rocks. After only having to say it 6 times and point at the bottle, she figured it out. I was proud of her. She proceeded to fill up a highball glass with ice to the top. At that point I just said "not that much, just a couple cubes". She dumped out the ice and then REACHED INTO THE ICE WITH HER HAND, GRABBED A COUPLE CUBES, AND PUT THEM IN THE GLASS. I informed her that her services were no longer required and that the check was all I needed. I haven't tipped 15% or under since I was in high school and didn't know better, but she made a kid out of me. Thanks, Grizzly's! I'm here all week, and you make Applebee's look like a good idea.

Nice place, set up like an Outback Steak House. A few TVs with a good bar. Service was good. Wings are Great, not very big but very good flavor.

I find my review is in trouble when I'm looking for positive things to say. No wine list exists, but they do have Menage a trois, which goes well with the baby back ribs. The grizzly bbq sauce is good, but the ribs were dry and hard to get off the bone. Baked potato is slightly overcooked, but ok if you put enough sour cream and butter on it. Moist towelettes came on the plate in the bbq sauce. Really, sauce on the package you use to clean the sauce off your hands? Wild rice soup was hot, but not much chicken. The taste was insipid. Not worth it. The reason for getting up to two stars was the fresh loaf of bread with the spicy olive oil dip. Nice touch. Our waitress, Molly, was very nice and responded well to requests.

The food was slightly better this time but the service is still awful. I have no clue how it is still making money. To the owners if you care work on your service. This place has great potential but lacks everything.

HORRIBLE! We were passing through heading home to Minneapolis. The ice tea was weak, chicken and wild rice soup was barely luke warm, thin and tasteless like they added water to make it last longer. My little girls chicken strips were originally so overcooked they were dark brown and crunchy. The replacements were slightly less so, but still way over fried. It's like they have their grease way to hot. My son had the angel hair cheeze and bacon pasta... no sauce... pasta was micro-waved as the cheeze and pasta was dryly clumped together. My wife and I had the rotisserre chicken... once again they had over rotiserred it. It was dry and was way under seasoned. Absolutely terrible... there was NOTHING redeeming in that meal. Left feeling chrated. I'm originally from North Dakota so I have nothing against small town food except when its as absolutely as unacceptable as this. We will never go back. SUPER PASS that place!

Things where fine until the bartenders and wait staff decided to sit down and have dinner. Needless to say the 5 at the bar any the 10 or so behind me left at the same time. I also posted a picture as proof. They are the ones in a blue shirts and the one in the black is the manager!

Don't even bother. Worst service Ever!! Waited over 15 min after being seated. Never saw server, others ignored us. Went to Applebee's.

Some days the food is great and other days it's not. I think the main problem is that they are short staffed and can never keep up during the busy times. Once they get fully staffed it will be better. I really like their chicken and burgers. My girlfriend loves their fajitas. Check them out. They are better more often than not.

We went here for a late lunch.. Nobody in the lot. Figured out why. Our waitress from step one looked at us unwelcomingly. She slammed drinks down only to come back later, delivering our food and throw the appetizer platter at my daughter so she wound up with Salsa all over her sweatshirt and new winter jacket. In exchange for dumping my appetizer salsa, which she never even bothered to replace by the way, she offered to comp the lukewarm Soup my daughter ate after cleaning her self up the best she could. The appetizer platter which she never asked about wing sauce choice on and threw at us was full charge, as was all the rest of the bill.. No offer for dessert, no replacement of the salsa even, didn't even come back and ask if food was okay or wanted drink refills etc.. Don't bother with this place - it'll save you a laundry bill and you won't get hurt when they throw the dishes or food at you.. Manager offered to wash coat (traveling and don't have hour to wait and not sure they'd do laundry okay when had to angrily throw plates at us and that's their jobs) Manager could have asked what could do to make us happy.. I think if I were him would have comped more or all of bill, offered a dessert at least.. Go somewhere better and be treated better.

Walked in from the rain and were greeted by a wood burning fireplace. Headed to the bar, which is nice and dark with a lodge feel--my favorite atmosphere. The bartender was everything you could ask for, great service and makes a good Irish coffee. They have a good selection of beers on tap as well. Food was great--the cheesy hashbrown cake is the side dish to order with anything on the menu. I wish this place was in my town.

Personable small town service with a surprisingly comprehensive menu. Generous pours at the bar. Good food. Consistent experience with the one I had a couple of years ago.
