Three stars is for consistency of blandness that you get in a place like this. That said, there's something to be said for Lutheran comfort food when you're really craving it. They back the Bland Inc truck up to the back and fill the pantry every week and serve it up to the weekend crowd. Put it this way, the first item on the menu is liver and onions. Gaaaaaawd. It's Midwest diner food. Neither good nor bad...dull Plenty of room to maneuver your walker or hover-round and you'll fit right in with it Service was outstanding though. Take that anywhere else!

Best home cooked meal you could ask for at the right price. Most everything made from scratch. Ask for the North Side skillet. Open early and closes late 7 days a week.

An impressive diner! I came here for lunch, though breakfast is served all day. I didn't try the breakfast selections, but they did look good and the portions looked big. Anyway, the selection of soups could be better but everything else passes muster! The shrimp burger is delicious and is a welcome change from the typical beef hamburgers that's a staple of diners. What's more is that they have a superb selection of pies for dessert. You can't go wrong with the chocolate cream pie, but if that's not your thing, there's other pies like pumpkin, rhubarb, and sour cream raisin. If you're ever in Grand Forks, swing by this place for good food.

Nice clean diner. I got the beef special for 8.50 which included beef roast, a side of potatoes, green beans and a soup/salad/coleslaw. The soup was cream of potato. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The service on the other hand could use a lot of improvement. I had to initiate the conversation with the waitress every time. I guess she didn't need a tip? I can understand if it was busy but I was the only paying customer in there. You have to pay at the counter but I sat there for 10 min after I finished my food before I had to get up to ask for a to go container....come on man... Its not to much to ask to come serve your customer? So she got a 10-12% tip

This is a typical local diner type place. I like to come here for breakfast. I haven't had lunch or dinner here yet... The omelets and pancakes are really good. Word to the wise, get your toast not buttered if you don't want it soggy from the amount of butter. The service is always quick and friendly & its cheap! I don't think my coffee has ever even made it to half empty here. This is a place I don't mind hitting on the weekend for breakfast.

I had high hopes for breakfast here, but was really let down. The service was super slow. Our pancakes were DRY the bacon was over cooked and too salty. Everyone else thought their food was pretty blah as well. Sorry won't be back anytime soon.

usual dingy breakfast spot you'll find in grand forks. i think part of the ceiling was missing. i had the country fried steak, the gravy was below average. the breakfast was huge. the orange juice is not fresh squeezed (normal for Grand Forks). My over-easy eggs were cooked prefect. And my waitress was as sweet as you can be.
