I had a gross meal here once and got a free meal out of it, so I could give them a second chance. Well, they blew their second chance. The food taste gross again and the service was bad. I will never eat their again! It's sad because this seems to be a reoccurring thing among restaurants in Grand Forks.

The Green Mill has really gone downhill. I have had so many bad experiences at the restaurant and also with delivery. I want to keep giving them chances, but I've given up. Poor service, the food quality is bad and nobody seems to care enough to change it. I'm glad I travel a lot so I still have the opportunity to eat at Green Mill in other cities.

Overall I was satisfied. My first experience with green mill was not good at all but decided to give you guys another chance. Way to make up from that bad first impression!

WOW! I am speechless! Should have known from the phone order. Guy I spoke with said 'one moment please' 8, yes 8 times during order. Ordered XL Pescara crust pep & sausage and wings. Pizza arrived 87 minutes later. Right toppings, thin and undercooked crust, I could taste the dough on the 3 bites I took. Not Pescara, not done. Wings were cold as pizza, swimming in cold sauce! ICK, ICK, ICKY! Possible new menu item, if named chicken jerky, might catch on! Wings so cold, not sure if delivery gal had them in the back of her pickup truck for delivery Green Mill is good, this was terrible phone service, terrible food and an embarrassingly bad of example a restaurant business can be. Wish I didn't need to leave this negative review, but it is definetly deserved. Green Mill Grand Forks, I look forward to your improvement.

I was there Friday noon. Walk in the door, wait there for a while, until someone finally ask us if we have been helped. I doubt he just got back from smoking. There only one server because it was Lunch? Understandable, We ordered two entrees, both noodles. One of them was good, little spicy, but I like it. I've been there couple times a year ago. Almost everything is better than what they have now.

Ok, Dr Remulack the waiter was new so i won't focus on that. Skip the cheese curds...lots of them but over fried and lacking cheese. Several were breading only. Deep dish was nasty. Imagine a marinara casserole Thin crust was ok but a tad burnt. Sauce and cheese not evenly distributed. Try the walleye...damn fine fish fry Meh...a fancy Applebee's

Very good food and nice happy hour prices.

Great service! food is very good. For an appetizer try the bacon wrapped stuffed peppers. The walleye is amazing here. If u are in the mood for pasta..look no further..Desert fire pasta is cray cray. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is just right.

Sat for 15 minutes with no contact with my waitress. The guy who dropped off the pizza had to refill my drink. And bring plates. And silverware. Zero stars. Lucky for green mill that the food is good, cuz the service stinks.

It took 50 minutes to get two appetizers! We almost got up and left. Other people around us were getting their food and they came in after us. I'm not sure if our waitress forgot about us or not.... But we won't be going back any time soon.

My first time at the Green Mill in Grand Forks was back in August 2010, and I thought it was fantastic, but I've noticed it's declined a little bit since then. Don't get me wrong, the food is usually great, but the last few times that I've been here, the service has been lacking a bit, and the recent menu changes have made me a bit sad. Their burger selection has been severely reduced (and it was amazing, being able to order a burger to spec), and the 1/2 price appetizer happy hour has been changed to 4.99 appetizers (which no longer includes their wing sampler). The upside to this place though is that there's lots of room, and if you're a sports person, the bar side has lots of TVs on the go all the time.

Good service, good food. If you are going to pick a chain restaurant go here.

I've stopped in here a few times with friends. I was unfamiliar with this particular chain before moving to the GF area, it's not too bad. Similar to Applebee's & the like. Large menu selection, so you can find just about anything to eat. They have happy hour drink & app specials. Service is hit or miss. Some food items are better than others, many are rather uninspired chain style choices. They have good ranch dressing & I like the calzones the most.

I went with a friend for lunch. I had a sandwich, and she had a salad. Our server was very attentive to us and took our orders right away. The food also came out exceptionally fast, and was delicious. However, when my friend ordered her salad without cheese, it arrived with cheese anyway. A small issue, and not a problem, normally, but when it returned it had red peppers throughout the salad. My friend likes spicy food, but this was not what she ordered. This action tells me that the cooks at the Green Mill are insensitive to food allergies such as lactose intolerance, and will resort to petty pranks to get back at the customer for expressing such a disorder. Beyond all that, the restaurant itself needed a heavy dose of cleaning. I went to the restroom and noticed that it smelled nice until I went into the stall. There were brown stains all around the bowl and an old, wet mat lying on the floor next to the toilet. I almost threw up. I told someone about it, and they said it would be taken care of immediately. Still, that doesn't account for the fact that it wasn't taken care of the last time the bathroom was cleaned. I would give this place another chance, only for the fact that our server was the sweetest, and the food was tasty. The back of the house needs an attitude check, though, and the bus boy needs a lesson in cleaning.

DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! Sat in the bar area on a Sunday night at 7PM with a group of six...by far the absolute worst dining experience I've had in the last several years (having eaten at Paradiso, this says a lot!). Our server was inattentive, spent much of the time near the bar texting on her phone, and we spent a fair portion of the time leading up to food delivery with empty glasses awaiting refills. Imagine the group's surprise when three main dishes came out before salads! (three of the group had ordered pasta dishes and one ordered a side salad in addition to a sandwich & fries). When we pointed that issue out to the food runner, the rest of the meals were left either on the table or under a heating lamp. After a quick taste of the salad before my Desert Fire pasta got cold, it became clear that one of the mains was not delivered, and, as it turns out, not even entered! In the midst of what ended up being a dining fiasco, I searched out Sarah, the manager on duty, who immediately addressed the issue by sending the server home (she was apparently "sick"--great!) and finding us two new helpers--too little, too late from a service perspective. She also comped the forgotten entree and gave everyone $5 off their orders. This was a decent step in the right direction, but the entire experience left many in the group vowing never to return to the Mill again.

I had just gone here for dinner. For an appetizer we ordered the spinach dip. The dip was good, but the toast it came with was stale. I ordered a burger and fries, and my friend ordered some pasta dish. The mushrooms in the pasta tasted like they were dirty, and it seemed like the recipe didn't have any flavor. My fries tasted like they had been cooked a week earlier, and then kept under a heating lamp. We ordered beers, and in the bottom of the glass there were chunks floating around, which is even more disturbing because we were drinking dark beer, and did not notice it until it was almost empty. The server was very nice and attentive, but it seemed like he had a heavy load on his shoulders and it took him a while to give us our meals, to go box, and bill. This is definitely not a place i would like to go to again.

Out of all the chain restaurants in Grand Forks, I believe that the Green Mill is the most reliable. Reliable as in, "I'm going to going to get the same quality that I've gotten previously." I've dined here several times and every time I've done so, the food has been pretty decent. Costs are about average for this area, which means they are a bit more than they should be. With that being said, they certainly do feed you. You'll be able to take something home, that's for sure. I've also gone here during lunchtime, and their lunch menu is pretty good as well. Costs are a bit less during lunch, but portion sizes are also smaller as well. I think that's actually a good thing, because as said before, they always give too much to eat. Overall, a solid if not spectacular restaurant. It won't knock your socks off by any means, but it gets the job done.

Poor little pizza Mushrooms ham and green peppers Turned black as a crisp (If I could give this Green Mill 3.5 stars, I would. It is a little better than a three, but it really shouldn't get 4 stars. I guess I'll round up, though, because I'm happy they have a Green Mill in Grand Forks. The food is what you'd expect from this chain restaurant... nothing too excellent, but very predictable. They do have a couple of happy hours, one being in the late afternoon, and the other being late at night. One thing I MUST mention, though: for a place that tries to pride itself on its pizza, it certainly cooks them INCONSISTENTLY! This Green Mill has a bad habit of overcooking its pizzas, leaving them charred on the outside. UN-AC-CEPT-ABLE! So my succinct synopsis: tolerable food in a city that is starved for good restaurants. But if they burn my damn pizza ONE MORE TIME, they'll be getting a downgrade in this review...)

I've given the Green Mill enough chances. I'm done with you. Crappy food and crappy service is what we've found is the normal fare. It's been quite awhile since we ate at Green Mill so when I saw the ad in the Grand Forks Herald online for 40 cent wings, etc. we decided to give it another try. When the waitress got around to taking our orders (two couples) we were informed that "we don't do that anymore" (referring to the 40 cent wings). So, we ordered two dozen of the bone-in wings anyway. They came as soggy boneless wings instead. We sent them back. My wife ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and was very disappointed with it. We've never in our lives seen such a thing that was called a "pot pie". It was some sort of luke warm chicken stir fry poured over two pieces of a phyllo or puffy pastry and one that was set on top. She picked at it some but it was horrible and she couldn't eat it. My friend's wife ordered a sandwich that she said was "OK" but the coleslaw tasted like it had gone bad. It had a sour and spoiled flavor to it. The bone-in wings got delivered and we tried to eat them but they were half raw. There was red blood next to the bone! Plus, it was hard to get a refill on beers. All in all... the Green Mill succeeded in ruining another evening for us. But, this is a promise... This is the last time!
