Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Village Inn
Food was delicious I had the southwest creeps and hash browns only down fall was the creeps was a little on the rubbery side. The only thing I personally would like is a little more of the sauce poured on the inside and out. Will it stop me from me coming back no for I like there food here.

We come to Fargo once a year to take care of family business. We have eaten at Village Inn many times. This time was very disappointing. Very slow service. Got order wrong. Did not offer refills. Pork chops were dry, tough, and over cooked. Asked manager for assistance. She left but did not return and nothing was corrected. They better step up their game because they have a ton of competition in Fargo.

We had an awful experience at the Village Inn and I would not recommend it to anyone, nor will I ever be making a return visit. We had poor service and the food took over 40 minutes to arrive when the restaurant was steadily busy, but not overly so. We ordered two of the new sidewinder breakfasts, and two breakfast kids meals. These weren't the type of food items that should have taken this long to prepare. Our server didn't even come over to update us on the progress or apologize for taking a long time. There are a lot of good diners in Fargo Moorhead and we will be frequenting other establishments going forward.

Fast, friendly service, although our empty dishes weren't removed until the manager stopped to check on our satisfaction (restaurant policy?). Grilled Talapia was cooked perfectly (from what I assume was a frozen state), but was a bit bland due to an intentional lack of high calorie sauce. I recommend it, but ask for a lemon wedge and give it some pepper. A healthy dinner when combined with the perfectly cooked broccoli florets (fresh & green). I asked for black beans which the cook didn't know how to present, but tasted fine even if bland. I really liked the restraint the cook used with his/her salt shaker on all our food. I tasted my husband's veggie omelet and it was perfect too. The cheese was part-skim mozzarella so it wasn't greasy at all. Sugar-free syrup over the multigrain pancakes provided a satisfying quasi dessert for us health freaks. We were glad we choose this place for a healthy meal.

This place has been a top choice for a quality breakfast for many years. There isn't much unique about it, but I would put it in the Perkins, Baker's Square, IHOP category. They have lots if skillet choices and lots of good baked goods. The service is great and usually pretty quick. I haven't been there for lunch, but it does look like they have a good selection of sandwiches and salads that I'll have to try one day. All in all, I would say this place is definitely worth a stop.
