Very yummy pizza joint. Pizzas are freshly made for you in front of you!! Great salads as well.

I am glad a restaurant is doing this pizza concept in Fargo, where your pizza is made in front of you to your order, but Maddios is missing a few things from what I've experienced at similar at chains elsewhere. I came in to get two pizzas to go. They were friendly, but it seemed that everyone there was new, with the exception of what I assume was the manager. This made for a slow experience, from ordering, to paying, to receiving the pizzas. Unfortunately the one person who seemed to have experience was the one who took my orders. You would think messing up an order when the customer is in front of you would be hard, but alas, both my pizzas were wrong. After I was sent down to pay, fresh mozzarella was added to one of the pies and the other never received the promised dose of Fresh basil after baking. In terms of the quality, the pizza was fine, but not great. The dough for the crusts was already shaped, stacked, and wrapped in foil, which didn't say fresh to me. The ingredients were good, but both of my pizzas came out a bit burned. On one, all of the sun dried tomatoes came out as black, inedible crisps. Perhaps I should have gone with regular tomatoes and hoped they came out dried? In terms of price, I felt it was about a dollar too much for this pizza. The quantity wasn't what I expected when I looked at the menu. In other concepts similar to this, the prices are the same or lower, you get unlimited toppings, (vs 3 at maddios) and the pizzas are bigger. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't awful...but I couldn't help but be disappointed because I believe pizza restaurants like this are a great idea and can make great pizza.

This is literally one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I got the Jerk pizza on Gluten Free crust. Everything tastes fresh and it has a smokey taste as well. The chicken was dry rubbed with a fantastic seasoning. I'm so glad I came. They cared about my allergies and provided great service. There was plenty of space to sit outdoors on their patio. I'll definitely be back the next time I have an overnight here.

I like this place The food is good, fast and nicely priced. The bread sticks are more like a flat garlic bread, not the traditional form but very good. We had the "Simply Veggie" pizza. Very good, the pizza dough is really tasty. We had a minor problem with the pizza but the manager quickly responded, remedied the problem and sent us home with a complimentary take and bake pizza. I liked that, no fuss, no scene, just fix the problem and make sure your customer doesn't leave to spread bad news. The chocolate chip cookie was good too. I would totally go here again!

I came in on a cold lunch rush a few weeks ago with my boss. I was immediately greeted as I came through the door with a hearty, "MADDIOS!" The menu was clearly posted above the counter and there were also paper menus available to look over while I decided what I'd have. What struck me when I approached the counter was, not only the friendly staff, how clean and well-bussed everything was, but that there was fresh dough on the counter top being worked and portioned off on a per-customer basis. It's not something that I've seen for quite a long time since most of the places here have frozen dough disks that they proof out and ready for service. I felt that this was a really awesome touch. I moved down the counter and made my pizza to order; a personal pie with spicy chicken sausage, bacon, and anchovies (sorry, I love anchovies!). I paid and the price was very reasonable (I think around $8 for the pizza and a large drink). The pizza came out about ten minutes later - the length of time it takes for a pizza to reasonably cook. The crust was nice and crispy, but not in a bad way, as it still gave plenty of

I went here for a mid-week lunch a couple weeks ago, and I am a fan! You walk in and order at a counter, moving down the counter to tell them what to put on your pizza, much like you would for a sandwich at subway. I got a personal-sized pizza with double pepperoni and bacon. It was probably the best thin crust pizza I have had in the Fargo area. The crust is nice and thin, and crispy. I got their regular crust, but one of my coworkers got the gluten-free. He said it was really good, too. The pepperoni had just the right amount of spice, and the sauce wasn't too sweet. The place was very clean and the people bussing tables were very nice and willing to help you out when needed. I wasn't expecting that so I felt bad because I didn't have cash for a tip. I will definitely be back, with cash!

This is a really nice option for those of us with special diets. My fiancé is vegan and we are both gluten-free so that limits our options quite a bit when looking for a good place to eat. Maddio's is a nice option and in my opinion the Pizza is quite reasonably priced. Most places gouge you when it is a make your own type of joint but not this place :-) also, there was a minor mishap and one of my pizza pieces flew out of the box. They made me a whole other pizza with no fuss and I walked out with 3! Sweeeeet ;)

Finally somewhere other than Rhombus Guys to get Vegan pizza in Fargo! It's really good too. They have way more veg topping choices than Rhombus, too. They don't have delivery, but I've gotten take out a couple times. They get pizzas ready pretty quickly; 2 pizzas took only about 15 minutes. The grilled tofu is worth trying, it's seasoned well.

Went on Maddio's second day open to the public. They were certainly staffed for the occasion. This place in terms of interior had a wide variety of things going on. It's designed to look sort of modern, yet sort of old fashion at the same time, quite fun. There are a variety of seating options, HIGH booths, normal booths, half booth/half seat combinations, full seated tables...something for everyone! A few TVs hung from the ceiling with local football on. I'm not traditionally a fan of "assembly line" style establishments like Subway or Moe's, so the ordering style isn't my cup of tea but it works for this place. They did their best to make you feel comfortable, with an extremely nice, sort of shy employee asking if we have been to a Maddio's before and handed menus. After placing your order, you sit down with a number to put on the table. The service was VERY fast, with the appetizer coming out within just a couple of minutes and the pizzas coming out within about five. Impressive given how crowded the place was. The breadsticks were VERY interesting. They sort of resembled pita chips, in terms of color and shape, but were crunchy yet fluffy. They were covered in a seasoning that was very mild and sprinkled lightly with basil. I'd call them tastey, prefer a BIT more seasoning or something to bring them up a notch. The pizzas themselves had very fresh ingredients. Burned just a bit around the edges and "bubbly" just how I like it! The sauce was mild and a bit "sweet". Pretty good consistency, a bit thin in terms of bottom crust. Very good for a "chain" place. Pricing was sort of the slight miss. The personal pizza was I believe $7.95 for a 9 inch pizza. This is a BIT expensive. Cookies were one for $2.50 and they were small and slightly underbaked with uncooked dough in the middle. Breadsticks very fair at $3.99. Sodas $2.50. All in all, nothing Blackbird-esque in terms of pricing, but a TAD high for a chain. Maddio's is certainly a fun spot to get a pizza. Tons of options, desserts and other things on the menu make it a great place to take a family.

This place is the bomb dot com! I didn't get a pizza which is pretty lame according to everyone. But their sandwiches are amazing. The bread was fresh and the cookies were gooey. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the chips. Only because that brand of chips aren't my favorite. Overall, they are the bees knees.

Nice and casual place to eat with a group of friends or family, especially if you're a fan of thin crust pizzas! When you enter, you're faced with a large menu and a variety of topping options (similar to Subway/Chipotle), where you can select the size, style of crust (wheat, white, or gluten free), and then either pick a specialty combination that's already set or decide to make your own custom pizza! I believe each pizza automatically comes with 3 toppings (extra toppings would be an additional charge). There are also options for salads, paninis (I believe), and desserts. For those who enjoy a nice cold beer with their pizza, I noticed options for buying bottles or a pitcher of beer for $9-10. My friend and I split a medium pizza, as well as their chocolate chip cannoli, which was delicious! The bill ended up being around $18, which I thought was pretty affordable. Every italian/pizza joint will have parmesean cheese and red pepper flakes to sprinkle onto your meal, but I noticed they also provided garlic powder, oregano, and tobasco sauce, which I thought was a nice touch.

As I've stated before, I'm a pizza junkie, so when this place opened their doors you knew I had to give them a try! They have pizzas, paninis and salads here, along with staple sides and desserts. Instead of choosing to make my own pizza, I just decided to go with a couple of theirs. I went with a Whole Wheat crust (they also have Traditional and Gluten-Free), their Tomato-Basil sauce (six different sauces to choose from), and I got a half-and-half pizza; I chose The Big Max (pepperoni, bacon, meatballs and Italian sausage) and the Southwest Baja (grilled chicken, black bean corn salsa, jalapenos, cilantro, sour cream and southwest spices). I also got their Breadsticks, but it's unfair to call them that, because they're little triangles of puffed-out dough brushed with garlic butter and served with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. I also ordered a piece of their Coca-Cola Chocolate Cake for dessert. Everything was really good, but I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed with the cake; not enough "Coke taste" to it, in my book. Just tasted like regular, chocolate cake to me; nothing special. Everything else I really liked, and I will definitely be back!

My husband and I went there for a Saturday night dinner and were thoroughly impressed! We shared the garlic bread, which I would probably pass on next time to save room for the pizza. We each got an individual pizza and were amazed at how quickly our food arrived at our table! The pizzas were so good and the crust was cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be back again!

There's a place that just opened last week in Fargo (next to Panda Express, on 45th St. S) called Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint. They started in Atlanta, GA, and they're a create your own pizza joint! Went there for lunch today, and it was REALLY good! Everything was fresh, tasted amazing, and they've got a gazillion different toppings. They have really nice vegan and gluten-free options (vegan cheese, grilled tofu, and gluten free crust), as well as all the other meat-lovers toppings, so you can take ALL your friends there for a pizza party! Very reasonably priced, and great atmosphere! I will definitely be going there again! The kids loved it, too! Oh and I almost forgot to mention how fast they were! We got our food within 10 minutes! Just thought I'd let you guys in on something so awesome!

I tried some of the Portobello Pesto specialty and a more standard pepperoni and sausage. Both were very good and all the ingredients are very high quality. Style isn't quite thin crust, more a thinner hand tossed style. The prices are pretty reasonable. The breadsticks are very skippable however.

Amazing pizza! The wheat crust is a must try. Fresh toppings and options you can't find at any other pizza place in town.

I've visited this establishment three times now and even though the food is good, each time I order I notice the servers don't know the ingredients that go into the dishes. Good menu that they change up, clean and friendly staff.
