Guys, Sweeto Burrito is so freakin good. It's so good that I didn't even deduct a star for the long time it takes to get your food. They basically take all-American ingredients like onion rings, tots, fries, bacon, bbq sauce, etc. and stick them inside a burrito. Such a great concept. I've loved all the burritos I've tried except one (which was the steak and eggs burrito). There are just so many good textures and flavors inside every one. It's definitely one of my fave Fargo spots. Plus, it's open late, so it's the ideal post-bar food.

In having Sweeto Burrito a number of times, a burrito is the way to go, followed by the tacos. I'm normally a nacho guy but I wasn't impressed with their nachos - though they were priced nice for what you received. The burritos come in a variety of options with some crazy concoctions, so calling this place Mexican is a stretch. You need to check out their menu on line to see them. I've probably tried 4-5 types so far and have enjoyed them. The tacos I had at a get together were what I believe they advertise as their street tacos at the restaurant. They were very good and I liked how strong the onions were. I recently used Sweeto Burrito to cater an event, where I basically wanted a bunch of burritos and chips & salsa/queso. The employee Louie was great to work with. I gave him a dollar amount and he built a good mix of food. Our order was large enough to warrant a delivery and it was delivery on time and included a bunch of napkins and plastic silverware. Louie delivered it personally and was nice enough to arrange all the food before leaving. For strictly dining in, I would give them a 4 star review. However, due to the great service I received with catering, I will bump this to a 5 star.

Ordered the Sweeto Burrito and was blown away by the flavor of the sweet pork. Definitely the best pork burrito of my life. Also tried the beef taco but it just did not have the same flavor intensity as the pork. Another exciting thing about this place is the deep selection of four different flavors of Cholula sauce - original, chili garlic, green pepper, and chipotle. Nice chill atmosphere with plenty of seating.

Sweeto Burrito, I think that you are neato. You need some beer, though. This place ranks right up there with my favorite burrito joints of all time. My other favorites: Rocket Burrito (Billings, MT), Mondo Burrito (Seattle, WA - CLOSED) and Lucha Libre (San Diego, CA). I think Sweeto may be trying to rip Lucha Libre off in terms of ambience (both have a Mexican wrestling theme, and I think Lucha Libre was around before Sweeto), but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and Sweeto can hold its own in the burrito department. I got the All American, which is "A MONSTER CHEESEBURGER BURRITO WITH SMOKED BACON, CRISPY FRENCH FRIES, FRY SAUCE AND AMERICAN CHEESE IN A MASSIVE TORTILLA." Often times, when I get a burrito at Chipotle it seems like it is about 3/4 rice. This burrito seemed like it was 3/4 meat. The fry sauce really turned the flavor up a notch. Sweeto started in Fargo, but appears to be in rapid expansion mode. Saw something on the Internet that there are about 250 franchises in the works across the country. Hope to get at least one in the TC Metro. Alas, Sweeto is a minus one star. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Rules are rules when it comes to ratings.

Nice menu. Good variety of meat dishes. Always good. I could use a little more spice/kick to the meal. Wish they could make up their mind about drink offerings.

Sweeto Burrito is a different kind of burrito place. They have every eclectic fillings and burritos to choose from. I don't remember all the names, but one of the most recommended ones I saw was basically a barbecue bacon cheeseburger burrito. When I went, I got a carne asada burrito. The burrito was good - but not quite what I was really looking for. Not a knock on them - the burrito was very good - it just turned out to be one of those meals where I should have gotten something else. My one complaint would be that they chop the meat up to be very fine. I didn't expect it. The turn off is that the texture was not very satisfying. It was sort of like eating a burrito full of hash, without the small cubed potatos. Again, not bad, just not what I was expecting. I will definitely come back. I am curious about all their different burritos.

They have some really interesting combinations for their burritos, but I must admit that none made my mouth water with a high level of intensity. I prefer more simplicity in my burritos- but that's just me. The staff was incredibly friendly, but not particularly helpful. Since I'm running the marathon tomorrow, I was looking for options heavier on the carbs and lighter on protein. I assumed they'd have tofu given the hip/younger vibe but the cashier informed me that they did not. "We do have the Thai Fighter" she replied energetically, and I immediately went with that since I am a fan of Thai flavor and the first few burritos I glanced at on the menu sounded way too fattening prerace. I noticed after ordering that it did have meat, albeit it was chicken (I assumed she had offered a veggie option, which I later saw they did have one, but it came with onion rings, gross). Anyways, the burrito itself was quite tasty- the peanut and curry flavors genuinely made it taste more like thai-mex than tex-mex. They have a higher meat-to-filler ratio than most other burrito places I've experienced. They had two different sizes, and I opted for the smaller and made it a combo with tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were cold, but still fresh-tasting, and the salsa on the bland side. All in all, you get more food for your money than at Chipotle or Qdoba (though Chipotle still remains my fave quick service Tex Mex place). The space itself was quite small, but still felt open and bright. It was filling up fast shortly after 11. Despite the confusion, the staff was charming (though this could be that corporate was in the restaurant).

This place is TERRIBLE! They pride themselves on big flavor, but I never found it. They put something fried (potatoes, onions, whatever else) in every burrito if you don't tell them not to. The staff is not friendly and some places just shouldn't have an open kitchen. Not everything needs to be authentic, but this place missed every mark, in my book.

Sweeto Burrito is about the same as every other fast food burrito joint with one exception, the price. its about double what you would pay at comparable restaurants and for me isn't worth the high price.

In what can only be described as 'Dak-Mex,' 'Sweeto Burrito' has founded a new low for fusion food. The result is an affront to the cuisine of both Mexico and the Northern Plains. Food has never been so devoid of flavor in this latest cultural appropriation. What this burrito may lack in taste, it more than makes up for in repugnant texture. For if one bite into this bland sack of carbs isn't enough to send you away, wait until you crunch into one of the plethora of onion rings awaiting you therein. Sorry, crunch is too generous. Chew? Gnaw? As if to kick you while you're down while you desperately reassure yourself that you *didn't* just waste $8.58, watch as all of your expertly honed Happy Hour onion ring eating skills are thrown out the window. For when it comes to these 'gems' nestled inside, the bland burrito exterior provides you as much motor control as oven mitts while playing the piccolo. Worse than KFC Saddness Bowls, the burritos of 'Sweeto Burrito' are definitely to be avoided. Unless, of course, you enjoy washing the insipid aftertaste of mediocrity from your mouth. If you DO go, I highly suggest opting for the 'free drink' upgrade. And don't even get me started on the tater tots. Not even fit for a hotdish. Uff da.

This was a nice little dinner for an pretty inexpensive price. Had to wait a while, longer than I was expecting; but it was worth the wait. Tasted like quality ingredients...beef, tortillas, rice, sauce and salsa. The location on Broadway is nice too. Great for a quick stop along the shopping trip or a place for lunch. Good tasting spices and the salsa for the chips is chunky and kind of has a roasted taste. Give it a try sometime!

The staff is very fast and friendly. The food proportion to the price or a really good deal and the food is wonderful. The place reminds me of a breakfast restaurant mixed with a fast-food restaurant. They have the speed in the pricing of fast food but the quality of the restaurant. I would most definitely eat here again.

Imagine that a chef found himself trapped in a traditional food truck and had to create burritos using meat, rice, beans, french fries, tater tots, and onion rings. The hard part about looking at the menu description is trying to decide what these varied flavors will ultimately taste like in a burrito. You should definitely look at the menu before you go. Pro: The quality of the food is great and the flavor. Con: It takes quite a while to make your way through the checkout line even if you are the only person in it. Expect to wait ten minutes while they prepare your food. The differing and at times mushy textures may be difficult for some people. A heavyweight combo is enough food for two people to share.

Sweeto burrito does burritos different than other places. If you want your traditional Mexican fare there are places for that. However this place is for the unconventional burrito lover. Most of their burritos have a sauce which you wouldn't find in other burritos. There go-to is their sweeto sauce. Not sure what's in it, and I don't care. I will eat it till the day I die. The chicken burritos very tasty, the Carne Asada is very good, but if you're looking for something different try the cheeseburger burrito. If has french fries and is similar to a California burrito only this one has some pickles beef cheese and other things you find in a burger. It may not be for everyone, but you have to hand it to them for trying something new. Recently I went here with a family member and she got the Thai burrito as a bowl. It was very spicy and seemed to have a lot of flavor. Definitely had some kick to it.

Not your traditional burrito's. These were a welcomed change for me in comparison to Qdoba or that type if place. First off the flavor combinations range from American to Tex- Mex to Thai If you're in the mood for breakfast, they have that too. Next, you get to choose "Light weight" or "Heavy weight". Light weight is a slightly smaller version of the burrito compared to the larger Heavy weight burrito, which is more comparable to the Qdoba standard burrito. I appreciated this choice, as a Heavy Weight for lunch is entirely too much food for me. Finally, you choose to have a combo or just the burrito. The Combo consists of fries, onion rings or chips & salsa (maybe tots, too?) & a drink. The also have Tacos & Bowlers. The Tacos are huge! You definitely get your money's worth with this taco! I chose to try the Thai Fighter & Onion Rings. The Thai Peanut sauce had a great flavor, the chicken was tender. It was really good. The onion rings blew me away. They were crispy and cooked to perfection! I will most certainly make these a staple as I continue to explore the menu! My husband got the Smokehouse & Chips and Salsa. He really liked it, however, he commented that it was more along the lines of a wrap and not much like a burrito. He got the heavyweight and stated it was almost too much food for lunch. The Salsa was good, just the right amount of spicy without being too hot. The chips were good, but could almost use something to make them more unique, like a lime salt or something. All in all, we will definitely be revisiting to explore this menu more. Maybe for breakfast? I keep seeing something about a burrito with Country Gravy?? :) YUM! If you're looking for traditional taco's and burrito's you'll fund them here, but you'll probably end up ordering something completely different then what you walked in the door craving. Great food, great atmosphere!

We ate at Sweeto Burrito at the recommendation of a family member. The service was extremely slow and the menu is impossible to read. With as many options as there were, it would have been great to see a list of what's in everything posted on the wall. I had a salad and my husband had tacos. His came w/o salsa, which should be a given to provide. My chicken on my salad tastes like BBQ sauce and not "Mexican" in flavor. Needless to say, a touch disappointed in the overall experience. They need more people working during the lunch rush and I would suggest having a detailed menu posted on the wall.

Note: this is a copy/paste of my original review from 9/19/2013 as it looks like that review got posted to the ID location and the review was meant for the Fargo Sweeto Burrito location. . . This review is for the sweeto burrito that was at this years Fargo street fair. It was my lunch break at work, so I figured I would swing by the street fair to grab something during the non-busy hours. So I'm walking up and down the food vendors and everything is looking like the typical disgusting fried food, so when I saw a burrito stand I figured that would be a safe bet, but was I ever wrong. So I'm scanning the menu and nothing is looking good, so I went with the "smokehouse". .I bought the large for $9 figuring if I'm going to pay for overpriced street fair food I might as well go big, so I said thank you and dropped $1 in the tip jar (to which the server girl didn't even bat an eye) and went on my way. I should have read the description on the menus better because I was expecting onions, but instead it was onion rings. It was the 3rd day of the street fair, and I could tell they had not changed the grease from when the street fair started; just gross. The chicken was in giant dry chunks, again, gross.. I forced myself to eat the thing because I had spent ten bucks on it. Well, I was burping up this nasty crap for literally a full day and a half. Worst $10 burrito I've ever had! I know it was the street fair and they were probably busy all day and exhausted or whatever, but that's no excuse. Now they have a sweeto burrito set up in the Northern strip club parking lot, and I advise you avoid it at all costs and instead go across the street to Taco Johns!

Simply put, some of the best burritos around, and their tater tots are amazing! Unfortunately, that's where the good ends; their customer service is terrible! I stopped by there earlier today to get a burrito for both my wife and I for lunch. I also got their Chango (think cheesecake meets burrito) for dessert, and had asked for several sauces on the side. I get home, only to discover that not only had they not put in the strawberry dipping sauce for the Chango, but they had forgotten the two additional sauces I asked for for my wife! I called them, and all I got was a terse "Sorry" from some girl. No offer to make it right. No offer to speak with the manager. Just a bare-bones apology that you can get for accidently bumping into someone on the street when you're in a hurry, and don't really care that you are sorry. Well, I am sorry. As good as your food may be, any restaurant worth their salt will have excellent customer service to go along with the food and drink that they serve. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that will be receiving our repeat business, but Sweeto Burrito will not be one of them.

I really dig this place. Great "taco truck" style burritos. My favorite is the Smokehouse. You may encounter long lines. Suck it up, it's worth it. If you are going to go for the combo, Avoid the fries. Not bad, but the onion rings or tots are better. Since it's on Broadway, parking is an issue. Oh, and they're open till 3 AM on the weekends. So, super bonus.

Ok, so I have a rather complex review. Let me begin by saying that I LOVE the food at Sweeto Burrito. I have seldom been disappointed by the quality of the food, and never been disappointed by the flavor. We had them bring the trailer to cater our wedding and have heard nothing but raves from all our guests. Now onto the not-so-good stuff. There have been several times when I have been forgotten or straight-up ignored inside the downtown Fargo location. Once it took 20 minutes in a near-empty restaurant for them to hand me my ONE taco, which they only did after I had seen it sitting on the counter for awhile and finally asked someone to give it to me (which, by the way, earned me a snarky remark from the employee who implied that I was being impatient.) But sadly, that's not where the poor service ends. As I said, I had them cater my wedding. In my initial emails I was told they could cater for $5/burrito, plus $100 for chips and salsa. AWESOME! I was thrilled at that price and asked to sign a contract in person ASAP. As soon as I met up to do so, however, things started to go awry. I met with the same man who had been emailing me, so there is no chance there was a miscommunication. I told him we were expecting 150 wedding guests, and he told me the price would be...$1100 before taxes/gratuity. Now I'm no math whiz, but that sounded MUCH higher than $5/burrito, even with the extra $100. I asked if there were any fees for renting the truck, and he told me no. So I asked him to check his math, at which point he begrudgingly pulled out his calculator and told me, oops, I was right, it should be only $850. Still, I assumed that it was probably a simple mistake, but it struck me as odd that he didn't even bother to use a calculator the first time. A few weeks later I had all my RSVPs in and needed to change my contract to 100 guests instead of 150, which he said would be no problem. I was told he would email me an updated contract and I could come resign it in person. When I received the updated contract, the price was wrong...AGAIN. This time it said I would pay $800 before taxes. I emailed him back explaining that his math was wrong AGAIN and asked for a breakdown of the price, because by my calculations (which I included in my email) he was too high again. He replied that I was right and he was embarrassed to have miscalculated. It's upsetting to me that as a business person he did not even bother to check his math for a wedding contract, not once but TWICE. Extremely unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional...the day of the wedding proved to be interesting. Though the guests had a perfect experience and the food was served tasty and quick, behind the scenes was another story. This same man was rude to both my mother, my maid of honor, and the groom's aunt, all of whom were acting as liaisons between me and him (as I was obviously quite busy that day!) Additionally, he came into the dining area in the middle of dinner to discuss the wedding contract and payment with me. I'm not bridezilla, but COME ON! Couldn't that have waited until after the reception at least? All in all I have extremely mixed feelings about Sweeto Burrito. All I can tell you is that if you want them to cater your event, double- and triple-check their math because they certainly will not! Otherwise you may accidentally end up spending hundreds more than you initially agreed to.

Hit and miss, I have tried a couple of their burritos and some were great and some were not so great. Sweeto Butrito specializes in basically putting anything and everything into a burrito. The breakfast burrito (potato, eggs, bacon and sausage) and Chicken burrito were great, the bacon cheeseburger was pretty horrible. The prices are pretty standard as you can get a meal for between $7-$11. They have an assortment of sides including Tater Tots, which you can never go wrong with... Also, they are open late so it is basically a hungry drunk persons dream... Stop by and give it a try, you may just fall in love with one of their burritos.

I was here a few days ago from a business trip and stayed in Raddison Hotel which is very close to this store. They have Burritos and Bowlers selections with Meat options, etc. Simple burritos, not to big to consume. Bowlers are good as well. This place is definitely good.

If you are simply looking for huge portions of fast-food quality Mexican fare with a much more pronounced sweet flavor than usual, Sweet Burrito is your place. If you are more in the mood for a savory, spicy meal or high quality, friendly customer service, look elsewhere. The service was very perfunctory. When my dining companion asked what was on one of the entrees, the clerk seemed to have to really rake her brain to recall. In addition, I ordered the white chicken salad but received what I believe to be their Sweeto shredded pork salad. Way too sweet for my palate--the flavor actually made it somewhat unappetizing. My salad was so huge I couldn't finish it. I left the flour tortilla and much of the heaping mound of white rice. The meal was more of a burrito in a bowl than a salad (there wasn't much lettuce), but it did contain a fair portion of meat. Simply put, Sweeto Burrito serves huge, sweet-flavored portions of fast-food quality Mexican fare. Unless you are ready to eat the walls, order a smaller sized burrito or split it with a friend, and make sure you come with a sweet tooth!

Went to Sweeto Burrito for the first time this evening with my wife and will never be back. We'll stick with Moe's and wait for Chipotle to open in Fargo. I was disappointed with the price and the name of the size of the burrito. I ordered a heavyweight White Chick and was disappointed when they brought it to me. I thought it was a small burrito and it was not packed tight, there was a lot more they could have stuffed into the size tortilla that was there. The disappoint only continued when I opened it up and picked it up. The burrito was extremely soggy and actually dripping. I bit into it and was surprised and annoyed to find it tasting sweet. I did not order the sweeto burrito for a reason, I did not want a sweet burrito. There was very little meat in it, it all fell apart as I ate because it was so soggy and wet. The bathrooms had no soap left and were dirty.

While visiting Fargo I went to explore downtown for supper. I saw the sign and decided a burrito sounded good. This place isn't quite like the burritos I'm used to, they have a twist. I had the carne assassin (option to add sriracha) and a piña fanta. The light option is about 6" and that suited me fine. Yum; it hit the spot!

I am not angry just really dissappointed. I was looking forward to trying this place out. I went there for lunch with co workers. I happened to order their bowl with the ranch and steak. I was thinking chipotle-ish... instead it had a TON of this ranch dressing that said it was guac but no real avocados were harmed in the making of that dressing. It was layered on about an inch thick. So, a lady comes up and askes how everything is. My co workers didnt complain but I did! I said well actually my steak is charred to a crunchy nasty state... she doesnt apologize, just takes the bowl away and i said 'and could you not put the ranch dressing on it? So, they gave me a bowl of... plain rice and MORE charred to a crunch steak. How do you live with yourself serving that to someone? Did you not think 'maybe he wont like these charcoal bits either?". Plus its mexican food and you put no cheese, salsa, veggies of any kind (onions, tomatoes, corn, beans, lettuce???) on it? And then all of my co workers were like... mine isnt great but wow your's looks lame. They had encouraged me to complain about the steak before she had come up. So it wasn't just me. Gross! I will never ever go here again!!! I do not believe in second chances after an experience like that.

I had a lightweight Sweeto burrito for lunch and my friend had a heavyweight All-American burrito. Mine tasted great and was filling enough (I think I have at least an average appetite). I'm not sure why the lightweight costs $4.99 and the heavyweight costs nearly twice that at $8.99 because my friend's didn't seem much bigger than mine. He said his tasted good but not as great as he was hoping, largely because the ingredients weren't evenly distributed throughout the burrito.

Great late night spot, not sure if there are any others but this came highly recommended by some locals we asked. I got a heavy white chick while I was there and it was delicious. My friends also loved their food as well. Atmosphere is very generic but you don't go here for that, it's all about the tex/mex style food here and they do it well!

I'm not generally a burrito person, but... the All-American has me hooked! On my 2nd visit I took my 8 yr old daughter with me, and she was a huge fan of the Bronco. Service was 'meh' (hence, the 4 stars instead of 5) and the place was super crowded both times I've eaten there. But the food is awesome, so I'll still keep showing up for more. We can't wait until they open up their 2nd branch at The Hub!!

I got to this place on Jan 1st 2014. I give them 5 stars the burrito I had was their self named sweeto burrito it's pork slow roasted with their white sauces (yes plural), beans and rice. I went there not expecting much, why you may ask usually burritos and me don't mix. Especially when on international Hangover day. They were open early they even had breakfast burritos. It was late morning so I went with the aforementioned "sweeto". I had to work and I have to say this burrito was a life saver it definitely helped me get thru the first 3 hours of work. I almost went back but I was thoughly full and unable to pack anymore in after getting a heavyweight size. The only downside was talking to the well meaning manager I presume but then I was really hungover I would have gotten annoyed at a kitten for purring to loud. Would definitely recommend to any person who has the munchies, need to fill up before going on a bender and of course the next morning. Also great place for responsible adults and kids alike who just want a great burrito. Going to have to try a side next time as well. Cheers

First day they have been open. Place looks real nice. Shared a sunrise burrito with my sister. Food was very good. One burrito would have filled me up. As we were between meals (10 AM) one half was just perfect size. Menu had other ethnic foods in tortillas and bowls; like Thai and others. I will make a point of coming downtown just for another burrito. Maybe next time I'll try the carne assassin.

Cool space but I wasn't real impressed. I tried the nachos and a ground beef taco. Neither of which was anything to write home about but I did prefer the flavor of the ground beef in the taco better than that on the nachos. I'd probably give it another shot and try the Sweeto instead.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
