I actually haven't had a bad experience here, but as I read the negative reviews, I feel like they're possible. There are so many things on the buffet that everyone will find something they like. Price is reasonable, too. As a rule of thumb, don't eat Chinese buffet Pizza!

Food on the buffet is luke warm and bland in flavor. Last time I was there I found a hair in my first (and there for only) plate from the buffet. Better off going somewhere else!! I won't be going back.

The definition of a restaurant that is jack of all trades, master of none. The appeal of a mammoth selection (and all you can eat) is countered by none of it being very appetizing. I see the purpose of such a restaurant (incompatible picky eaters, wanting to eat a lot on a budget) but special cases aside, I'm just not sure when this would be my pick.

I'm really surprised this place has a rating of 3 stars. The buffet is packed with items but the only thing notable was the peanut chicken, which was surprisingly flavorful & delicious. However, the cleanliness is severely lacking & I will not return here. Everything from dirty floors & tables to grime around the buffet items. No, gracias. Of note, there was a wedding held her the last time I was in (yes, you read that right...a wedding...) that was overtaking all of the attention of staff. Still not an excuse for such poor cleanliness.

I made a joke before going here, as it advertised that it had ten trillion buffet items, that it would have 'lettuce here, dressing 1,2,3,4,5,6... orange jello... ' basically saying... nothing related to chinese food. I was right. Very limited in choices regarding actual meal items. Just a bunch of weird things like donuts and crap I don't go to chinese buffet's for. I left feeling like it was the most limited, least flavorful chinese buffet I have ever been to. The one downtown is much better!

Not feeling this place. It's not very clean. We had lunch there and we did see a few flies buzzing around the food. We personally wouldn't recommend this place.

I was traveling through with my dad and saw the generally positive Yelp reviews and decided to stop in for some dinner. The food was decent, overall. The items were pretty typical buffet fare with a few random (fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, potato salad?) items thrown in. A lobster dish on the buffet was underwhelming. The lobster was way overcooked. The coconut shrimp was an atypical preparation; the lightly battered shrimp were covered in a delightful creamy coconut sauce. The one real standout was the Peanut Chicken. It was a really flavorful dish and if I ever happen to pass through again, I may just order it as an entree. There was some sushi out on the buffet, some were better than others. One of them had a topping of shredded cheddar and mayo, which i unfortunately mistook for a spicy krab salad. Other than the shredded cheese surprise, it was decent quality sushi, nothing special but nothing scarily awful. The decor was nice, but the floor was very sticky! It wasn't because of the snow, because this was a June visit, but the stickiness did bother me. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and quick with refills. Both Coke and Pepsi products are offered here, which is nice. A weekend dinner buffet will set you back around 9 or 10 bucks.

Pleasantly surprised at a $6.99 buffet (M-Th weekdays). The selection for the price isn't bad. The food varies - there are sesame balls (my favorite, but not done well), a Mongolian grill (this was a good mix of vegetables and more), and seafood and more. The place is clean, though the floor gets a bit slippery with the melting snow. Some sushi and hard ice cream options. While the salad bar is light, the hot food isn't bad - I particularly liked the honey-walnut shrimp, too. On Sundays, it's a bit more expensive, but they give you a free beer with your meal.

With the closure of Grand Buffet, this place is now my first choice for all-you-can-eat Asian food in the Fargo-Moorhead area. For the price Super Buffet offers a decent variety of food (including a Mongolian grill) although I wish they have more choices for sushi. One thing I'm not fond of is hearing oldies in the background. How about playing some authentic Asian music instead?

The food was okay. I wouldn't say that it's super fresh though. They have your typical buffet food broken off into sections of salad, mongolian grill, and main course. The Mongolian grill is really really good! I will continue to go there again because I'm not picky and I do like the food there. What's even better is the price. It's extremely cheap and every so often they have specials which gets even cheaper! Will definitely go back!

Being a trained chef and someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for quite a while, I'm inclined to give a place multiple chances - for me, it's the "Three strikes, you're out" principle. That said, I've visited Super Buffet three times... and all three times I was sorely disappointed. The first time was about a month prior to Thanksgiving, 2009. I'd gone with my Grandmother since we were both in the mood for Chinese and neither of us had been here before. Strike one. I typically sample multiple items when I pay my first visit to a Chinese buffet, in an attempt to find out what they do well... It was apparent to me that SB is less than super. The chicken that was used was gristly, fatty, and in one case, I bit down on a BB/caper sized piece of cartilage. As for my Grandmother's selections... She took more food out of her mouth than she actually swallowed. The second time I went was on Thanksgiving, 2009. I had hoped, fervently, that the first visit was a fluke and we had just experienced a lazy prep cook. Sadly, I was wrong. Again, in several of the chicken dishes, I discovered large chunks of fat and more than a couple pieces of cartilage. This time, I also hit up the "salad" bar - and what a mistake it was. The composed salads (macaroni, potato, etc.) were lukewarm which, frankly, is a sure-fire way to get your customers sick. Typically, macaroni and potato salads contain mayonnaise - which you do NOT want to leave out so that it gets warm. Not unless you LIKE running to the bathroom every five minutes because it's liquefied your lower intestines. And, really? I still don't get the point of pre-prepared sushi, sitting out at room temperature in ANY restaurant. Unless you're rolling that sushi to order, with FRESH, COLD fish, you shouldn't be serving it. Again... another great way to invite food poisoning. The final time was around June or July of 2010. I won't bore you with a repetition, I'll simply say this: My third visit was virtually a carbon copy of my first two visits. Poor quality food with the potential for food poisoning. Thanks, but no thanks. Super Buffet is less than Super and hardly worth the risk. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised... Any buffet that serves alcohol (even if only beer) is suspect in my book.

Awesome place for chinese food. Very cheap just $6.99 lunch buffet yet so clean and organized. Many chiken options. Otherwise you can get sushi as well. Salad bar is full of good staff. Wd recommend to come for lunch once.
