This place is mediocre, at best. Nothing amazing about their burgers. Definitely not worth $10 for a burger, shoestring fries, an a drink. There are way better places to get a great burger for the money-- such as Bdubs, Lucky 13 or JL beers!

North Dakota burger is the best. I've had many burgers from all over the country. This is the best damn cheeseburger I've ever had.

Ive been to smashburger 3 times and all 3 times its taken 15 minutes or longer to receive my food, the burger was nothint special, but at least they have shakes!

I give 4 stars mainly for the french fries.. The best french fries I've had.. Very thin but crispy outside and soft inside. Perfect texture. I wouldn't suggest black bean burger.. It was almost some kind of bean pate.. so mushy .. I really didn't like the texture. Fried chicken burger is pretty good. If you like fried chicken, try this. Sweet potato fries are OK. Friendly service.

Seriously? The service was not good. The food was sub par. I don't get the rave...sorry not coming back.

Pretty good..but asked 2 x's for extra seasoning on the smash fries and barely got any....a bit spendy...but a good cheeseburger when your really craving one

Fresh tasting and delicious lunch or quick dinner. Everyone seemed happy to work and was very friendly. Prompt and helpful service and speedy food makes for a great visit. Their spicy fries are wonderful, as well! Not too spicy with a dry rub that makes your fingers happy. New favorite burger place.

Fries and fried pickles tasted great, took one bite of the nodak burger and it tasted delicious but couldn't eat any more. It was RAW. Shouldn't have to go home and re fry my burger.

I've had Smash Burger plenty of times back home in the Twin Cities, but I wanted a quick bite to eat and found a Smash Burger in Fargo! I'm writing this to review the burger I ate (Smash Burger already = AWESOME). I ordered the North Dakota (didn't know NoDak had a burger named after itself). It consisted of layers of melted cheddar bar cheese, Swiss cheese, spicy grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a pretzel bun. Absolutely nothing sucks about this burger, NOTHING. The melted cheese with the onions was fantastic and no one can complain about the pretzel bun, which was soft and tasted great. If you're ever in NoDak, stop at Smash Burger and get the burger they named after the state!

Better than the famous chains, clean and very well trained employees, they also have lots of different types of burgers

To simply put it, this is the best burger I have ever eaten. I ordered the NoDak based on Yelp recommends .. It did not disappoint. The burger was very juicy and the toppings were fresh. Also, the service at smashburger was also excellent. The lady behind the counter was very friendly an they checked back many times to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. I will be going back here next time I travel through Fargo.

I have been here several times since I live near by and it is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes you will get a pretty good burger and sometimes you will get a burger that is just covered in grease. The one nice thing they have is a wide variety of create your own burger options.

Better than your average burger joint. They do a great variety of tasty options. Smash burger and Smash fries are my favorite. Sweet potato fries are the favorite of my wife. There is a fun atmosphere with good service.

One word: Amazing. I had a religious experience with a cheeseburger. I got the bigger smash burger with North Dakota toppings. If I could swear right now this post would be riddled with profanity saying how awesome the food was. I also added the chili cheese fries that were really good also. The chili was very good and they topped them with fresh jalapenos and onions. I haven't stopped talking about this burger and every time i drive by I am tempted to stop in again. I thought I loved Five Guys and meatheads, but apparently I'm an idiot. This was by far the best burger I've ever had. Don't trust the reviews saying that it's greasy, those are the jucies they're not used to from a non frozen burger. I might go back and marry that burger.

One of the best burgers in town. The beef and chicken are both amazing. The fries are great as well. Most of the time the service is very friendly, and the actual restaurant is very nice and clean.

This is a 4-star review that should probably be a 5, except I hated the North Dakota burger. Nothing on it was *bad* per se, it was just a really weird burger where the nicest thing I could say about was "interesting" as a euphemism. Chalk it up to regional taste differences I guess, as I always used to order the Sin City when I lived in Las Vegas and loved it. The good news is the ND burger was the only bummer of my trip. I had the Veggie Frites instead of fries and they were really good. There are still all the same regular menu burgers alongside the regional, fried pickles, and better regular fries than certain other burger chains with cult followings will ever have... The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and this place will definitely get another visit from me. SmashBurgers are universally great places to dine in my experience. And if you're bold, try the North Dakota burger- we could have different tastes. I'll be leaving it for the natives and going back to the Spicy Baja or BBQ Bacon...

Ordered the Avocado Club burger and sweet potato fries, very happy I did. It was awesome! The burger was cooked just right, avocado was fresh and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Kudos to them for also offering 2 different kinds of tea as well as the expected black tea. I tried both kinds of tea & only liked the green tea/passion fruit one but still awesome that they attempt to change it up in a good way. Service was very friendly. We will be back to try more of the menu.

A frequent favorite in the Fargo area. I often have allergic reactions to most processed ground beef, but no problems with the great hamburgers here at SmashBurger. Love all of the "make your own options" from the bun, cheese, vegetables, etc. The shakes are pricey, but worth splurging on once in a while. The staff sets them apart from most

Decent food, serves beer, but dirty. They wasted my time verifying my age (I'm 40) but can't be bothered to wipe down the tables and chairs. Leftover food EVERYWHERE.

Smashburger is definitely the best burger joint in Fargo, ND. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is phenomenal! The menu is full of delicious items, including beer. I would highly recommend SmashBurger!

This is certainly the best burger in town. The line at lunch was a pain, but the wait was worth it. I got a fried egg on my cheeseburger, and the fries are really good too.

Really great burgers!! Had BBQ Bacon burger on egg bun and was super juicy!! Had the smash fries and would not ever order them again. They are shoe string size and the oregano gives it a really gross flavor. Service was good. They check back on you several times an have very upbeat attitudes! Love that they are here in fargo!
