I used to live in moorhead and loved side street. It's always a great environment to be relaxed and casual. Staff is always great and the food is pretty good too :).

The place is full of surprises. There is a wide variety of tap and bottle beer. And an exquisite selection of Single Malt Scotch. The food is good, my favorite being the pizza. It is a great venue for live music. Do not be put off by service times, you will be taken care of.

Better than I was expecting for a restaurant/bar inside of somewhat of a "budget" motel (albeit one that I had an amazing stay at). There seems to be a good mix of both locals and hotel guests that come here, the former mostly coming for drinks. Lots of TVS are spread throughout the restaurant in a very large and open space. The bartenders are all friendly and happy hour is available every day until 7. Overall drink prices are good and there is quite an extensive selection of bottled beers and beer on tap. The food itself is uninspiring, but was OK for me considering I had an early flight and didn't feel like going out. I wish that I had been in a burger mood because they were offering half off burgers during happy hour. I ended up getting the French Dip (called the "Fargo Dip" on the menu). It was OK- quite greasy, but good amount of meat and fried onions. They offered several sides to choose from, but none offered a healthier complement to my sammich (I really wanted a baked potato or steam veggies) so for $1 I went with a side salad, which was also underwhelming. So all in all, a good hangout place for drinks considering the service and prices. Food is convenient for guests looking to stay in, but likely not a draw for others, especially those looking for a well-balanced meal.

Don't let the unassuming location fool you; Sidestreet has a lot to offer. The mixed drinks are perfectly stiff, and the beer selection is robust. The food menu is diverse and not limited to standard bar fare. For anyone with downtown Fargo roots, you will appreciate some friendly reminders of Lauerman's past, including pickled eggs on a bed of pretzels. The space is funky. You won't be wowed by the interior or the exterior of the building, and the restrooms need help. Still, Sidestreet is a great option if you want quality food and drink in an unassuming setting. Friday and Saturday night can get busy and loud, but Sunday funday at Sidestreet is always a winning choice.

Best thing: consistently delicious food Worst thing: gross smoking area on patio Friendly staff, tasty food! I go the the Sidestreet pretty frequently. Last time I went I got the Sicilian sandwich (avocado added) and the red pepper Gouda soup, both of which were delicious. The time before that I got the French Dip, also good. I've never had a bad eating experience here, and there's good drink specials. The only complaint I have is the smoking area, it's deteriorated over the past few visits, there was graffiti on the walls and the ground was pretty gross looking, with what appeared to be vomit right when you walk in, making me rate it 4 instead of 5.

Beautiful day to enjoy the patio! This is one of my favorite places to be when the weather gets warmer. The beer selection is great! They also have yummy burgers and one of my favorite items in the world - tator tots! When you want to unwind after work or are looking for a patio on a sunny Saturday afternoon, swing into "The Street"!

Came here quite a bit in the past but just visited again for the second time in the last few months. The place seems to have quite a following, my friend refers seems to think its a hidden gem. I won't go nearly that far. Its a strangle layout of tables down the middle of the bar, pool tables under the tv's that the tables are watching, and a few large tables up by the gambling which every time the door opens for people to go smoke you go into a deep freeze. Its a bad setup in the back. The most annoying part of this bar is that to go to the bathrooms you have to walk through the whole crowded bar to an entry way or go all the way downstairs to a separate set of toilets. Drinks are decent priced and good and I hear the food is decent as well. Definitely will never be a go-to bar for me but its there for a fall back.

Sidestreet used to be a favorite for a quick bite, but service has plummeted. Food quality has become inconsistent, and given that most items are pretty simple (or deep fried) this is a terrible thing. When a place sends out almost-burned tater tots or icy cold fries it is clear they don't care. Tried it two nights this week (including a Friday). I can sum it up this way: over an hour wait for wings and a burger before 8pm. Wait staff comped us, but when things take that long, the place is totally broken. A shame as the menu is/was creative, good and fairly priced. If you want a bar with music and beverages, sure, do it. It's not much of a grille at the moment. Someone tell me when food service improves, and I'll gladly come back.

Sidestreet is a pretty good place. The prices are pretty good, the food is pretty good, they have a good selection of craft beers on draft too, which is nice. Wednesday nights they host "Jam Band" which is a rotating group of musicians who come to jam together. It's basically just an awesome public jam session that anyone can join in. Luckily, the few times I've been, it's been a really awesome group- no disappointments. I love some good blues! Their french fries are pretty tasty- I know this because I kept grabbing them from my friends' food. It's a very low-key spot, so don't go here expecting to have your socks knocked off. Just go to have a good drink, hear some good music and enjoy hanging with some friends.

Everything is good to eat here... Pizza, sandwiches, apps, hotdogs you name it. I recommend the Fargo dog it's a artery clogger but soooo worth it!!

Not sure about the food part but the bar is a ok place that caters to the younger Hippie like crowd mostly local and collage kids 21-25 staff is nice and kept my glass full but I was sitting at the bar and tipping i had witnessed a few wait a long time for drinks ,it dose get loud and even a bit rowdy but not out of control

This has always been a go-to place in Fargo!! Great beer selection, juke box, pool tables and its downtown but off Broadway so doesn't always get as crowded - and one of my favorite bartenders Tory makes the best shots!!

Decent prices, loud music, and a patio space for those who want to smoke - while I came here late, apparently the drinks were strong enough to satisfy the crowd and the beer fresh off the taps. Pool tables here, too.

The sidestreet has good beer selection and the drinks are usually pretty strong but i cant get over the bathrooms. The mens is definitely worse than even first ave's bathrooms. It sucks cause i have friends that work there and there really great people but two stars for pissy floors.

Good place to go especially for music. No hip-hop music or pop. They have good drink specials and good service. It's cheap to drink there. They also have poker tables.

I've had many good memories of Sidestreet. I don't know if this is still going on, but approximately two years ago there were weekly open mic nights that were always fun. Furthermore, even on those nights, it wasn't usually too loud, so talking with others was possible. Oh yes, I almost forgot: the beer selection here is excellent.
