Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable . Wait staff was attentive and friendly . I had the Mediterranean shrimp which was delicious ! I would definitely recommend this restaurant which has a nice Italian and Greek selection.

Pleasant atmosphere. Calamari was too tough to eat. Our server was aware of other complaints agreeing, and they removed the charge from our bill. Enjoyed the baklava cheesecake as well as the seafood lasagna. Would have been nice to have our wine glasses refilled by our server.

I wanted to love this place....I really did. They serve Greek food, they are right of the interstate and every time I see the sign I sing Santa Lucia in the voice of Raul Julia in Tequila Sunrise. I even gave them two chances. There will be NO MORE! First stop I tried a to-go order. They are clearly not setup for walk-in to go orders. I waited at the hostess stand and when a waiter final came to greet me he looked annoyed when I said I wanted to order to go. He handed me a menu and disappeared. How he did that I don't know - its not a big place. I finally flagged down the other waiter and ordered and he said it should be out in 10 to 15 minutes, which surprised me since there were only two tables of guests at the time and they all had their food. 26 minutes later....yes TWENTY SIX minutes (I know because I called my wife as soon as I ordered), my food came out. During that time I had asked for my check so I could pay it and then go when my food came out. Nope, he brought the food and then had to go get the check. I was in there for 45 minutes and all I ordered was a gyro sandwich with fried. Now I eat a lot of gyros and have rarely met one that I didn't love...until that night. When I opened it up I immediately thought WOW - that's a lot of lettuce. It was loaded with lettuce and, as I found out, tzatziki sauce. I also love lots of tzatziki sauce but this one was literally loaded with it. I gave up any thought that I could eat this while driving and even after stopping I couldn't eat this thing - it was SOGGY. The meat tasted OK but there was so much wet lettuce, tomatoes and sauce that is was almost completely inedible. I couldn't believe it but I actually threw most of a gyro away. And the fries? Easily some of the worst I've ever had. I figured that this had to be a fluke....bad night...bad cook, whatever. So a couple of weeks later I stopped again and decided to eat in. This time I went for the gyro platter. Again, the service was brutal. The college age waiter kept calling me bro or saying things like "yeah man. This place is trying to be an upscale restaurant - fancy decor, fancy tables, fancy outfits and fancy prices. I don't want to be called bro, or dude or man in burger king, much less as place trying to pass itself off as upscale. Again this time there were only a few other tables of guests. When I arrived I told the waiter (bro) that I was on the road and looking for a quick meal. Despite that he was painfully slow and MIA for long periods of time. When he brought my food I even asked for the check right away. I didn't see him again until well after I finished eating and still didn't have my check. That night I spend almost an hour having a quick dinner and I can't say I was impressed. The gyro meat was pretty good but there certainly wasn't a lot of it, especially considering the cost. The rice was soggy and tasteless, the potatoes were OK and the veggies we good. The worst part, though, was the pita bread - dry and tough. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place but both times I stopped their they seemed to go out of their way to convince me to go elsewhere. They succeeded.

I have not been able to return but I will say that the owner has gone above and beyond at trying to make things right. perhaps my experinace is not of their norm and you'll have to give it a try. what makes this great is what great lenghts mary goes through to makes things right and that is what makes a good "Ma and Pa" place. I wish them the best if luck

So we went to this restaurant last year for Valentine's and fell in love with this restaurant. I tell all my friends to go here when they are in Fargo. NOT ANYMORE! They do not even deserve one star. This weekend we were staying at Cambria Suites and just wanted to order in. I was excited to see this restaurant delivered. First of the problems: delivery took double the time they said it would. SECOND: the delivery boy DROPPED our chicken parmigiana in the hotels hallway. What did he do?? He scooped in all back into the cracked styrofoam and continued to deliver it to us! He was going to make us eat something off a public hotel hallway?? And he thought this was okay?? The only way we even found out was thankfully before we ate my husband walked down to the vending machines to get a couple drinks and saw the sauce and our pasta on the floor wiped up! Opened the styrofoam and it was a disaster the chicken was even upside downs and the styrofoam was cracked. I can not believe this BOY, someone from this establishment thought this was okay. The restaurant refunded our entire order but we were so completely disgusted. Never will we return to an establishment that thinks it's acceptable to wipe food off a public carpet and serve it. The sick part about it was the boy was polite and friendly, he probably walked away laughing that he got a tip and delivered us food scraped off the carpet.

This was a piece of Greece brought to North Dakota. I had the Pastitio and a Greek Salad that was out of this world. It was fresh and tasted just like being in Greece. The service was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try real authentic Greek cuisine. Not only is the Mediterranean diet healthy, but it is very hard to find such authentic quality like Santa Lucia offers. I give this place a perfect rating because it really is an outstanding restaurant.

This place is wonderful for a casual lunch or a romantic night out. The staff is very friendly. It does take a bit to get your food but it is so well worth the wait! The Greek salad is delectable, the lasagna is flavorful and the chicken parmesean is dare I say life-changing.

We ordered Santa Lucia in for New Years Eve and it was very good! I ordered the Cannelloni Al Forno, which is: Large pasta sleeves stuffed with seasoned beef and cheeses then baked with marinara and mozzarella. Very yummy! My friend ordered the Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta. That is: large shrimp sauteed with feta cheese, black olives, roasted red peppers, green onions, artichokes and fresh tomatoes in a garlic wine sauce. Served over penne pasta. Personnally, I had a bite of pasta and was a little lemony for me, but the shrimp looked amazing and a nice hearty size! Last, we ordered Cannoli's for dessert, a new favorite dessert of mine. They were, to me, a mini-cannoli, compared to the East Coast for the price, but we are in Fargo. They still were delicious!

I'm new to Fargo and love Greek cuisine, so undoubtedly I was excited to give this place a try. It was amazing! Everything from the service, to the ambience, to the delicious food, and fabulous wine--it did not disappoint. It was clean, the servers were attentive and confident, the manager checked in on us at least twice to make sure we were satisfied, and the food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. It's not every day you find a restaurant where you don't know what made the experience better, the food or the service. Both surpassed my expectations. Try the Souvlaki and Baklava cheesecake for sure!!!

Nice atmosphere and decent pasta. I ordered a pasta dish, which according to the menu included fresh Parmesan cheese, when the plate arrived I noticed the dish had about 25 tiny pieces of cheese, when I asked if I could have more I was offered powdered cheese (no thanks).

I have only been here once and my meal was fantastic. I loved it. I had a gyro platter. It was slightly different than your ordinary platter but in a very good way. It came with the gyro meat over rice and typical pita with tomatos and onions but it also came with these delicious vegetables and potatoes. I just remember loving the veggies, and thinking the gyro meat was just ever so slightly different than usual, but in a very good way. It was definatley one of my favorite dishes I ever had. I would go back again in a minute. The prices may be a couple dollars more than most places, the decor was nice, the service was fine. There was nothing really bad about it, and any time you have a meal and tell someone how good it is the whole time you are eating it, then you know something is right.

Chicken Parmesan was excellent. Price is fair and service was very good. The place is really nice inside. Recommended.

Food was good but I expected more flavor. I had a gyro pizza. It was a good pizza but I could barely taste the gyro or tzatziki.

Went back as part of a group, this time I found the same appetizer to be very - very salty. Add to that the mistake made on my order which not only had me eating last I as found to be slapped together quick and also very salty. So in the end my party and myself (batting 0 for 6) did not enjoy the food, the service was ok, ignoring the mistake with the order,. One of the goals in life is to enjoy good food, and this was not . Going from a four start to a one star rating is harsh however I not see myself back here again.

Food is very good. I like the greek stuff but have also had some of the Italian. I usually go here for a lunch when I am craving Greek food... and they don't disappoint.

Was really happy with my first visit a month ago but when we came back tonight it wasn't the same. I asked for a bud light and got a Budweiser. I asked for the Italian nachos for appetizer and got Mediterranean nachos. When we got our bread it was burnt and rock hard. Asked for fettuccine alfredo with chicken and didn't get the chicken. Such a dissapoint meant.

I stopped there for a late lunch. From the lunch menu, I ordered an appetizer of "Greek Fries" followed by Lamb La Vista (going from memory, I think that's what it was called). The Greek Fries were basically a mountain of seasoned fries covered in crumbled Feta Cheese and with Tzatziki sauce on the side. They were OK as an appetizer but very filling. The portion was huge- easily enough for 2 people. The lamb was nicely cooked, the pasta was al dente (the way I like it), the sauce had a pleasantly sweet flavor, again there was lots of crumbled Feta Cheese on it. (Fortunately I love Feta) and it included a nice Greek salad and some garlic bread. Again for a lunch portion it was *big* The service was good, though it was after the lunch rush so not very busy, the restaurant was clean and comfortable and the music (classics like Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald) set a nice relaxing tone. The menu had a very good mi of Greek and Italian dishes along with pizza. It was a bit on the pricey side for lunch, and I'd recommend it more for a date or a nice quiet lunch or dinner with the significant other than for a quick lunch on the go.

Gyros platter for dinner. Quite impressed. Meat was hot and edges were crispy. Veggies included zucchini, snap peas, potatoes, onions, and mushrooms. Loved the splash of mint sauce on the edge of the plate for a palette cleanser. Will order this again if I return.

I stop by at Santa Lucia Restaurante for the second time one cold and windy afternoon. It was sprinkling and the wind was not very friendly. But I decided, today is the day I stopped by for the second round. How impressed I am with this place still. Too bad I can't really go to this place alone. Otherwise I would've come everyday. Its the kind of place you take someone with you to. A date, or a friend, a colleague or bunch of friends if you have to. You want them to enjoy the ambiance, the music, the food, take your time and just escape for the moment. I love my waitress, Michelle, very accomodating, she even made me half an order of that greek nachos that I was craving although I cant finished the whole order for sure. :) Anyway, all and all I trully loves this place and hope that everyone in Fargo should at least stop by and check it out.

This place is so yummy. Greek food is my fav and this place knows Greek food! Tzatziki is my utmost favorite thing in the whole wild world! When I order it as an appetizer I quickly grab up the plate and hover above it while shoveling it in with the yummy warm pita pieces not leaving a drop! The service is good, the food is robust in flavor & the place is clean & everything I want in a restaurant. Way to go Santa Lucia.... you rock!!

Santa Lucia is an acceptable restaurant, but not somewhere I would want to go very often. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend and her mom. The atmosphere was nice, but the service was rather slow. I don't usually grade a place on its service, so I'll let it slide. The food was a bit boring, but not terrible. I think I received the wrong dish (chicken instead of lamb) but that could have easily been my mistake in ordering. In either case, the food was pretty ordinary. It tasted like pre-packaged portions with too much salt and too little flavor or texture. I think Applebee's has some comparable Greek flavors. I prefer Aladdin's. Particularly the downtown location. It's not much to look at, but the gyros are pretty decent.

The food is not even okay. My husbands moussaka had varying temperatures throughout it. One side was warm the other cold. My pita was dry and fell apart. The fries were soggy and they carged me for a side of tzatziki I used to make the pita edible. Not a great experience.

Mary had a lamb His fleece was white as the snow One lamb sandwich please (After moving around a bit, Fargo's Santa Lucia restaurant has found it's home. Conveniently located right north of the West Acres Mall (right on the frontage road next to Timber Lodge Steakhouse), getting your lamb fix couldn't be easier! I DO recommend giving this restaurant a try. Part of me does feel guilty for eating lamb, but the other part of me just can't say no to its sweet, succulent meat. I usually just get the lamb gyro sandwich when I come here. If you choose to get a gyro, DOEN'T get the spicy gyro... just get the regular gyro. The sauce on the 'spicy gyro' isn't that great, and then you don't get the tzatziki sauce. Other recommendations: The greek soup seems a little bland to me. Their pizzas look OK, but not fantastic (though I've never tried them). The chicken souvlaki is quite tasty. Oh, and if you're not that hungry and just order a sandwich (like the gyro), you can save $2 by opting for NO soup, salad, or fries. So there you go! )

I thought it was overpriced and overcooked. Had lamb and the waitress said it looks a little overcooked, but it is not - yes it was. When she asked how the food was, I stated the the lamb was not good, but she didn't seen too concerned

First time here and I had the CANNELLONI AL FORNO and Sam Adams beer. The service was very friendly. My friend was thought her dish was excellent. I can't remember what she had. My dish was mediocre. I thought sauce, and whole dish overall, was rather bland. The pasta was overcooked in the oven to the point it became hard to even cut. at some spots. Disappointed that the Greek Beer rotator was out. I won't go out of my way to come here again, but if someone I am with wants to go, I would give them another shot. Probably get the Gyro next time as I hear that is very good.

What a great place to grab a delicious Greek meal in Fargo. I kinda had to cajole my midwestern sister to go somewehre other than TGIFridays or Olive Garden, but cajole I did and she was really happy! Go big bro! As she told her son, "If you want to travel the world, stick with Uncle Scott. If you want to hang around DL (Detroit Lakes, MN), stick with me." Anyway, the decor was alright. A little Olive Gardeny, but fine. The service was fantastic (thanks Jenna!). The food was quite good, overall and I was surprised to find one of my fav Argentine Malbecs (Trapiche) on the menu--yum! We stuck with gyros (lamb and chicken were both great!) and the spanikopita / tiropita combo appetizer. The fries and salad were very good. We also had dessert (something like the "trifle", a sweet cheese and berry concoction that was also very good. Yiamas, Santa Lucia!

Nice service but not very good food. We had trio of Greek dips and all were thin and runny. Our Cesar had italian dressing on it. Putting parmesan cheese on a salad does not make it a Cesar salad. Our pizza was made from a preformed crust.. You would think Italian/Greek restaurant would make it own crust.

Youumy spaghetti (uuuummmmmmm!!! good!) - good sauce on the noodles. I like to eat it several times and keep coming back for more.

If you want authentic greek food- Take a vacation somewhere with a greek neighborhood. I find the food to be on par with chain restaurants. Edible but not that special, most of the pasta are the same- different noodles topped with one of 3 sauces. The pizza isnt anything to go out of your way for...The entrees usually seems lacking with just a few veggies and potatoes seems for there prices they are cutting a lot of corners

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Greek Cuisine

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.

For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
