My boyfriend and I ate here last night, and this is the best sushi I've had in Fargo yet! The staff is very interested in your thoughts, how you heard about them and if your service is good. I had the Yummy Yummy and Spicy Tuna Rolls and they were great! Very fresh and flavorful, and the plate was decorated beautifully! My boyfriend had the steak and shrimp hibachi and it was very good except for the rice.

Took the family here for Christmas dinner. Everybody loved all the food. Loved the fact that you can have as much as you want as often as you want. The food is very fresh unlike other buffets. Service is great and fast. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

A friend and I went to Izumi for lunch on a Saturday. I was immediately impressed by the layout and décor. It's a great environment - super clean, nice lighting, overall fun ambiance. We went with the all-you-can-eat option. Between the two of us, we tried at least 10 different things. From the soup to the dessert, everything was excellent. Staff were friendly. I was impressed by the speed of the service, as well. They switch to dinner pricing at all times during the weekend, so it was a bit pricy for lunch. Still, it was worth it. I'll definitely go back!

My beautiful wife God bless her is a timid eater.. She was very pleasantly surprised. The dining room was beautifully decorated and astheticly pleasing. The waitress was very knowelagble about the dishes.. I ordered the all you can eat and had a smorgasbord of Japanese dishes. My lady had teriyaki steak and Hibachi noodles and loved them.. I had an assortment and was very happy.. I really fell in love with the mackerel sashimi. We ended this adventure with green tea ice cream.. We will be back and we will bring friends.

Great place to eat all you can eat is a great value and awesome time ! This is one of the best Sushi dinners we have ever had and we traveled all the way to Fargo to eat it.

I have never done AYCE Sushi and was a little intimidated by the concept but was put at ease by the great server that we had. There is a penalty for food that is not eaten so don't over order! The portions for the standard and specialty maki are pretty standard and if you go after the specialty rolls it makes the price of the AYCE that much more appealing. I really like the Fire roll. The portions for the nigiri was rather small so don't be afraid to order extra and the appetizers were two or four smaller pieces so don't be afraid to order a couple of them. I am just visiting Fargo for business but I will most assuredly be back to Izumi on my next visit!

Started with the dumplings which were pretty good Had just about everything off the sushi menu and it was all very good for an all you can eat sushi place Device was fast enough and over all I would Highly recommended if you wanna stuff yourself on ok sushi in the middle of the country Oh and stick With their warm sake the cold is an odd unfiltered kind. Not bad just different

An all you can eat sushi place in Fargo? I was skeptical and also afraid I wouldn't be getting my moneys worth but I was very wrong. They have a very extensive menu included with the all you can eat, so you won't leave hungry. We tried a slew of everything and we were continually impressed. The appetizers were delicious and the pot stickers were fantastic. The sushi was also all really impressive! I also just enjoyed the dining experience this offered. We really took our time ordering in waves and we never waited very long on our food. I think our group of 7 stayed for a few hours and we had a great night chatting with friends and meeting some new people while trying awesome food.

Service was awesome! Food was amazing and the all you can eat option is great. Definitely suggest the Godzilla roll!

This place made moving to Fargo from California not as bad. I definitely miss all the great diverse cuisine back home but this place helped ease the transition a bit. I tried the unlimited sushi, sashimi and habachi for $26... Habachi was my fave.. Very nice ambience and plenty of seating.

So, let me start by saying that I haven't seen an all-you-can-eat sushi place since leaving Southern California. With that said, all in all, it's a really great experience and one that I hope doesn't fade away like some of the other food places I've seen go into obscurity. I've been here three or four different times and each time, I've had no issues with food or service. The interior is new. The lighting is perfect and the seating is plentiful, which is a great thing since the place has been pretty busy every time I've been in. It is clean and all the tables are always immediately bussed and cleaned as soon as a guest leaves. The staff is always full of smiles and are very happy to come by and check on you. Now, onto the food. I haven't eaten anything off the traditional menu as of yet; only the all-you-can-eat menu, because..well, I'm a fat kid and if I can get huge amounts of sushi for a good price, I'd be an idiot to not do that. All of the fish, rolls, rice, and ingredients are fresh, crisp (where applicable), and vibrant. Of the rolls I've had - which I think is about one of everything - everything tasted great. It was prepared with skill and finesse and presented in a visually pleasing manner on the plate. My one slight disappointment was with the sashimi. For my tastes, it was cut extremely thin (akin to Prosciutto). While this is undoubtedly a food costing issue that I can understand, I'd still love to see some thicker cuts. That, really, is the only shortcoming in my opinion. Last time, a friend and I were out on a Saturday evening, he ordered a slew of rolls, as did I. But, we finally ended everything by ordering the curry - he chicken, and me beef. It was delicious. For anyone who is looking for a great place to come and eat with a small or large party, I recommend Izumi for the great food, service, and atmosphere it provides.

I write this review with a stomach about to burst. As a passionate sushi lover, you can imagine my joy when I found out that an AYCE (all you can eat) sushi spot opened up in Fargo. At $27, it's slightly pricier than other AYCE spots I've been to, but it's still a great deal. The chef's special sushi rolls are so great. I enjoyed the sushi and sashimi also. Everything is good quality. The hibachi and teriyaki items are just okay. I wouldn't recommend them as much as I would the sushi. My favorite of the appetizers were the spring rolls. I ate so much food and was incredibly full, but I didn't want to end on a heavy note. So, I ordered a scoop of green tea ice cream. It was the perfect sized small scoop and delicious. Definitely got the sushi fix I needed! Service was great too!

Lots of choices, food was good. We went with a party of 2 for lunch. The servers seemed very disorganized as food from other orders showed up to our table and our orders were taken to other tables, etc. Staff was very polite and welcoming. Atmosphere a little dark but otherwise nice. Probably would not go back

Fantastic value for surprisingly good Sushi. I'm a sushi snob and this was excellent for the price. 5 stars for value and 4 stars for the sushi. I will definitely be going back for ALL you can eat sushi at Izumi when I'm back in ND.

Excellent and friendly service, and pretty and spacious interior! I wasn't that impressed with the sashimi or nigiri because the fish seemed pretty thin/pale, but their combination rolls were good! If you're a sushi fan or have never tried sushi before, their all you can eat special is worth checking out because you're able to try a little bit of everything for a fraction of the price (just make sure you come hungry and that you don't over-order). As a heads up, on weekends and holidays, they keep their dinner prices going all day. For the FM area, this is probably the best place to go to get your sushi fix!

Today was my first time at Izumi and I have got to say, I am a huge fan! The restaurant itself is new and clean. The staff are friendly and informative. My husband and I had the all you can eat lunch for $16.95, we were a little confused on what to do prior to coming in to the restaurant... But basically, you go in and get seated. They give you pieces of paper that have all the items on the all you can eat menu including sushi, rolls, apps, tempura, hibachi, soups, etc. you pick as many items as you would like for as many rounds as you would like. We shared a paper (made it less confusing) and shared about four items at a time. They pick up your order and then the chefs make your order fresh. We waited until we were done eating to decide on our next round... A break in between rounds is kind of nice. All of the food we ate were well made, presented well, and tasted great. You could really tell the ingredients were fresh. We had quite a few different items, but My favorites were the dragon roll, cheese rangoons, and the Philadelphia roll. I can't wait to go back and try more. If you have questions, please ask them. The staff are very nice and helpful. This place just may become my new favorite.

This place has some awesome sushi rolls. Not a huge selection but you should be able to find what your looking for. Great service. They do have an all you can eat selection but I have not tried it. Not able to eat that much for a pretty steep price. However ordered an appetizer, 2 sushi rolls and side order of noodles. With 2 drinks it was around $30. Nice new selection to the fargo sushi selection!!

Pros: All you can eat sushi Wide variety of menu items the specialty rolls are VERY tasty Cons Hibachi/soups aren't very good Expensive Ocassionally I have had a piece of fish that I spit out because it didn't tasty very fresh

great sushi....didn't have time, so had to do a take-out, but will definitely go back for all-you-can-eat sushi buffet! Good find in Fargo!
(4)Paula M.
Excellent concept..the all-you-can-eat...the food is good. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. An example would be the chicken curry. It tasted like curry, but had no kick. I would defiantly return.
(4)Matthew E.
Not the best sushi in Fargo, but so damn close that it's definitely worth it to get all you can eat! The sushi is pretty good and it's fresh. My only complaint is that it isn't served very cold. Room temperature sushi is not the best thing ever.
(5)Gina D.
List of fresh selections. Did the lunch, all you can eat. Very good and I'd definitely go back.

I called to make a reservation at the hibachi grill for my visiting family. Person that answered said no problem. I had to change the reservation and called to add more to the hibachi GRILL seating, yep no problem. We get there for the first time: there is NO hibachi grill. Would have been helpful to tell me that when I called twice before. Hibachi food was good not great, server messed up almost everyone's food but we didn't send it back. We did have to send back two glasses with lipstick on them. Overall, we won't be back.

Great food very fresh and well prepaired. excellent service waitress was kind and quick. All you can eat is defiantly worth it if your a sushi fan.
(5)James M.
Great place for sushi but make sure you're hungry! I like the all you can eat theme. It's a great place to go and try out a bunch of different items. All the sushi and sashimi I tried there was really very good. Looking forward to my next visit!
(4)Courtney Q.
The all-you-can-eat option is a fantastic deal, especially for such great sushi. Everything we tried was delicious. The service was warm and friendly, and the cool atmosphere made for a great dinner.

I usually don't write reviews but had to share this experience to warn others. Came for quick lunch with my son. We tried a few rolls and apps. We thought food and service were reasonable and were planning to comeback as he likes sushi. Unfortunately dining experience was completely destroyed after my credit card number was stolen. The same day that we dined at Izumi unauthorized charges (around $2000) from upscale clothing store in Los Angeles were posted to my credit account. I was contacted by a credit card company fraud department and card was cancelled, case under investigation. Sadly this is my 2nd experience with my card number being stolen in asian restaurant (last case 7 yrs ago in florida). Will not be back.

Food is very good but service is hit or miss. If you can avoid Tracy (male) as a server, do it. Fifth time here and each time we have had him, he has spent most of his time sitting in a booth on his phone. Pink has been our very best server. With the buffet approach where you order all food through a server, you are more so dependent on the quality of your server than a normal buffet.
(2)Matt S.
Great sushi and great service! The sushi is on par with the other great sushi restaurants in Fargo. Their big sell is the all you can eat sushi. Which is a great deal, especially if you go at lunch! CAUTION: Order conservatively on your first round of the all you can eat. You can order as many times as you want, but you get charged extra (25% of your total bill) for what you don't eat.
(5)Connie B.
Izumi Sushi is a great addition to the Fargo sushi scene. They have an all you can eat option for $26. It's a very good deal for those with a healthy appetite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is still in its "soft launch" phase, so they are still working out the kinks. Still, we had a great time and plan to return.
