Service was OK (could've been better). I had an empty drink glass sitting on my table for about 20 minutes and I had to personally ask for another drink after about 15 minutes (the waitress had been to my table before I had to ask her and she failed to notice my empty glass). Other than that the waitress was really polite and did a good job serving. I didn't really like the Devil's Spit Bloody Mary that my husband ordered. It wasn't mixed well and it tasted horrible to me. I ordered the Smokin' Tea and I thought that it was decent - it was kind of strong but I didn't mind it at all. I had the burnt ends sandwich. It wasn't really good because it looked like dog food and tasted purely of smoke (not to mention the burnt ends were kind of chewy and tough)- not good at all for me. The bun was kind of stale but tasted good. I would give the cole slaw 4 out of 5 stars. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. It wasn't too loud even though it had a fair amount of tables sat.

My friend and I came here to eat dinner after running the Fargo Marathon in the morning. I ordered the brisket and rib tips combination with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Their BBQ items are pretty decent, dependable, and reasonably priced. I've never been disappointed with their food and it was perfect for a recovery meal after running 26.2 miles all around Fargo. The service was good and pretty fast. Our waiter always checked up on us and made sure we had whatever we needed.
Late Sunday night before Christmas the restaurant was quiet the waitress was friendly and very efficient. Food is some of the best BBQ available in the Dakotas. (Most of North Dakota thinks that ground beef and sauce on a bun are called Bar-B-Q) All in all very pleased.

We had one recent experience where the BBQ pork was dry and waaayyy saltier than normal, but the vast majority of the time, the food is great and the service is good too. The price is reasonable, and we go back pretty regularly. Parking is not ideal, but there's rarely a wait. We have had a few visits where kids were a little noisy though, so if that bothers you, keep it in mind.

It's just BBQ. You come for the ambience and atmosphere, not really because this is the rootinest, tootinest best BBQ in town (I'm from the South, I feel I have some expertise here). I came to Famous Dave's while in Fargo overnight on a business trip. According to Yelp it was the closest restaurant that was likely to serve gluten free food. ProTip: BBQ in general is gluten free, the sauce/rubs they use ARE NOT. How ticked was I to get back to the hotel to find that out?! I had talked with the to go person (in person, not over the phone) and scoured the menu and ingredients list to ensure I wasn't getting the sauces or rubs that were marked "with gluten". Little did I know it was essentially in all the food and made for a real bad night for me at the hotel. And, well, if you're like me you don't really depend on the food service staff to know anything about their ingredients. When you're gluten intolerant you just have to roll the dice every time you eat out. It's nearly impossible to guarantee stuff like that, so really I don't hold it too much against them (just 1 star). The other star is dropped for just because if I say 4 stars Yelp assumes I am a fan...and I am not.

Food is always good at any of these locations I think. Service was a little off that night. And there was only a few tables in there so not sure what the issue was. But will always come back to famous daves with the large portions it fills me up all the time and tastes good.

After a series of reccomendation from my friend to visit Famous Dave, I reluctantly decides to go there for lunch. The whole restaurant looks like an arcade. It is so bright and full of lights in there, I thought I am in chuckecheese. The food is alright, the ribs was a little bit too hard for my taste and its not fall of the bone as advertised. Later I realised that one of my friend told me that if you go to famous dave its a hit or miss depends on which chef works that day. What?? Shouldnt there be standard for food? I am not even sure if I am going back. All and all, the service is good. The food is so so and the sauces are aplenty. Will I go back to famous dave, probably. Only this time, I am surely hoping I got a good chef working!

Always had excellent service at this location, no matter how busy they are. Have I had better barbecue? Why yes, yes I have...but this is not Memphis and I'll take what I can get! I like the ribs and chopped pork and the brisket is ok too.

The was our first experience @ Famous Dave's and was fantastic. We had the feast for 2. Liked the taste testing of the sauces. Surprised the restaurant doesn't sell the sauce at the restaurant. Definitely will return. Yummmy!!!!!!

Well I have never had a bad meal at a Famous Dave's and once again, the Fargo location did a great job. We went there on a Monday and the place was doing a brisk business. It was crowded but there was no wait or a line at all. I was surprised to see it so busy on a Monday but then I realized that the crowds may be inflated a bit because of the holiday weekend that was just completed. This has not been first trip to a Famous Dave's and although I have never had horrendous service, I guess you can say that service was the weakest aspect of my visit and that was only due to the fact that when we did need her she was nowhere to be found. Other that that, she did a good job. The food is typical Famous Dave's. I mean how can you even go wrong with that? I had the lunch combo with catfish and ribs, potato salad, corn on the cob and cornbread. It was really really delicious and i was not disappointed.

The service was amazing! Famous Michael was friendly and efficient! He greeted my fiancé and me within one minute. Our food was excellent. When my sweet tea was getting low Michael brought me a refill in a timely manner without me even needing to ask. We are definitely coming back and requesting Michael.
