Packed with college students but why not? It's just a step away from campus. The food is good and so are the drinks. It's a fun place to grab a drink with friends. I really think it has the best drink prices in Fargo and they are good too. They make a good sour apple martini.

1/2 dive bar, 1/2 college campus bar, and they do it well. Laid back bartenders with a heavy pour. 2 for 1 burgers on Sundays, cheap beer on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They have dart boards, pool tables, bean bags (in the summer) and a few other games. If anything is going on, on or near campus, this place will be packed. Get ready for frat guys and stumbling girls. The Turf is good at being what they are trying to be.

32oz drinks on the cheap. Great place even through we were the only 2 in there i still loved the atmosphere. I could imagine it is a great place to hang out. I do not have direct experience but my friend told me the TurfBurger was pretty good too. I wish I had the chance to go back and experience it in it's full glory.

Once you get to know the staff this place is a nice diamond in the rough! My buddy Cord Palmer showed me this place a few months ago and I had a blast here! Food is great and drinks are cheap!! Make sure to check out the specials board! They have different killer deals every day!!! For some reason it's always dead here. Might have to come at certain times??? Wish Cord still had some balls and could come out!! Beware the bathrooms, they are arctic cold!!!

Located on the edge of campus, this college bar features cheap drinks and eats. Definitely has a divey vibe to it. A great place to go if you are the intended clientele.

Great food and strong drinks! What else can you ask for? Compared to other dive bars/college hangouts, the Turf definitely gets 5 stars. I recommend the beer cheese soup and the seasoned fries!

The Bison Turf, henceforth referred to as 'the Turf' is the definition of college bar. What the place may lack in aesthetics it makes up for with genuine service and a dedication to the NDSU student population. A regular haunt at the Turf, I would meet up with my classmates and college friends a minimum of three nights a week when classes were in session. This is the kind of place a group of your friends can grab $4 pitchers of beer, play darts or pool, order a Turf Burger (on a hoagie bun, A+) and Seasoned Fries (oh, God, A+++), carve your Greek letters into the surface of your table or booth, and stumble home. This would be my 'Cheers bar' location. The only real downfall of this place (even if you're looking for a low-key college atmosphere) would be the bathrooms. Sketchy even on their cleanest day, they have no hot water and seem to not be heated. Seriously, they are positively arctic during the winter months. Attire should be old jeans and a hoodie of your choice. If you don't have your favorite Bison hoodie, you can pick up one with the Turf logo from their display case. Be sure to check out Mug night!
