I have eaten here 3 times now, food is ok. Avoid the fajitas like the plague, they are not fajitas, I'm almost wondering if they were even beef. It's served almost as a vegetarian dish with a couple chunks of tough meat hidden throughout a disproportionate amount of watery onions and bell peppers. Luckily Tabasco sauce has a consistent flavor throughout the world, so I was able to add some flavor to them. The fajitas come with a plate of dressings and flour tortillas to make tacos with your "fajitas". The lettuce is the same pre-washed, crunchy, herbicidal, genetically modified plant with hints of carrots you can purchase at the grocery store. Also included are black olives.... Who on the face of the planet puts black olives on their fajitas, even if they suck? Black olives? Really? If I wanted flavorless mush I would just eat the cold watery crap attempting to imitate sautéed onions and bell peppers. Anyway, if you enjoy bland salsa, then you might as well pour them on your "fajitas" because nothing can make them any worse than the poor kitchen employee who made them. You can also count on a "do you want a box?" question from the waiter when they notice you've fished out all of the mystery meat from the aforementioned watery onions and bell peppers. I think the staff recognizes the quality of your order. You will definitely receive some looks because the locals will avoid this dish along with making eye contact with you because of their empathic embarrassment. The belly burner burger tastes fine but is guaranteed heartburn. But seriously, do not get the fajitas.

Just plain bad. Ordered burger, medium. got burger, well done and rubbery. huge, gummy bun, worst cole slaw ever, and horrible service. All in all, this place has nothing going for it, except the exit.

We stopped her for lunch one day (my MIL immediately dubbed it "Sanford and Not Son's"). We actually had to check if they were open because there was only one vehicle. There is a hotel next door. That may explain the lack of cars. Very few customers for lunch. Took forever to get seated (I started banging my keys on a counter to get attention). The waitress was really nice and the food (chicken & chips and catfish platter) were really good, esp. the catfish. A tad pricey and the decor is from the 80's. We noticed business picked up in the evening when we were driving by.

My husband and two children decided to try Sanford's out today and I must say that it was delicious. We had fried jalapeños , chips and salsa, and calamari as appetizers and they were all fresh and the salsa tasted homemade which was delicious! We both had burgers for our main meals and they were very big and tasted amazing! They were short-staffed and still managed to keep the refills coming and asked if we needed anything throughout the entire dining experience! If you go to Dickinson bypass the chain restaurants and go to Sanford's.. It's nice decor and good food is good for everyone in the family, regardless of age.

Kitsch incarnate. The food here is pretty decent, if a bit pricey, but I suppose that is par for the course in these oil boom towns. The fish and chips did not disappoint, nor did the French dip (lovingly known as the "dip stick" on the menu). I recommend the garlic parm fries as a side. The best $1 pint is the draught PBR. The service here can take some time, but all the waitresses I've had have been friendly. Not a place to go out of your way for, but if you find yourself hungry and tired and in one of the nearby hotels, you could do worse.

Everyone has seen Office Space - this place is literally Chotskies. Goofy crap all over the place...way overkill on the decor. The portions were like Cheesecake Factory, which isn't really a good thing. I was amazed when my salad came out and ended up eating a third of it for fear that I consumed two Big Macs worth of calories in it. The server was friendly and was poised considering it was a busy lunch rush. The menu boasted $1 pints of tap beers. We weren't drinking as it was noon, but it guess if i was staying in Dickinson within walking distance I could have made a night out of it. If you want bang for your buck go here. If you want good food there has to be something better in town. Yee haw!

Mediocre, at best. Their menu is way, way too large. Like five pages too long. My sandwich was okay, nothing special. Probably will try it again just to get a little variety. Would be a fun family restaurant but again, nothing special.

Did not care for all the flies in the building.... But it wasn't bad. Everything is brought to u on huge plates.... Salads are huge.. Seen quite a few guys getting a salad... Fries were Cajun style that I choose. Pretty much just a seasoning they sprinkle... It was good. 50 cents more. I would go back. Not as nice looking as players.... But it was good food.

Across the parking lot from our hotel made this the cop-out choice. Seems to be very popular with the local population, several large family groups and young couples. Our waitress was very chatty and knowledgable about the menu and preparations. I chose the Crawfish PO Boy, the toasted hoagie bun was topped with one leaf of wilted lettuce, three small tomato slices a dab of remoulade sauce and a generous portion od deep fried crawfish. Additional sauce was quickly provided upon request. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was one 8oz, piece of cod which cMe with a side of slaw and tarter sauce. Each of our selections included one choice of side dishes. We both opted for the Garlic Parm Fries ( available for an additional 99 cents) - the best item we had. Every interior surface is covered with antique pictures, signs, or "stuff" of a former era.the I identifiable music was too loud for normal conversation. The temperature was several degrees below comfort level. Our cheerful waitress saved the evening with her attitude a efforts. Although nothing was terrible next time I would look beyond the parking lot.

If you're looking for a burger and some drinks this is the place to go. They've got great burgers and friendly bartenders. It can get crowded but I've never seen waits over 30 minutes.

I can't understand the bad reviews. This place was a great oasis for a weary traveler. I loved it. The decor is quite eclectic, but what's wrong with that? Some reviews said everything is fried. I call BS. I had the Bourbon chicken which was broiled. They have a huge menu selection that includes steaks, chicken, burgers, pasta dishes and several Cajun dishes such as jambalaya. If I'm back in this area, I will definitely come back. Since I reserve 5 stars for the best meals of my life, I can only give it a very deserving 4 stars.

the first time that we came in this restaurant we stood in the lobby for over five minutes had several staff people walk by us nobody offered to help we turned around and left. the second time we went in here we were seated promptly and had great service & ok food however I felt like a little kid eating off super oversized plastic plates that are horribly scuffed and obviously very old. this restaurant is very clean. their menus are pretty cute because they use funny words and they spell out the cost of the items but don't expect to go home after eating a salad pretty much everything is fried. it's 1 of those restaurant you go back to just because there are TVs everywhere and it's laid back but definitely not because of the food.

Service was slow, but it was good bar food. The portions are very large. We sat in the restaurant area, because we had children along. The music was TOO LOUD, we could hardly hear each other. Probably a great bar though.

The Chicken Jambalaya Andouille Penne is one of the best dishes you will ever experience. A generous helping of noodles with enough (not too little or too much) sauce, the tender chicken, crisp veggies and sausage really tickles the taste buds. Why would you order anything else? Don't let the very interesting decor and many television screens distract you from your meal. What a fun place!

im normally a review reader not writer. This place was SO BAD I had to warn others. WOW!!! As a waitress I can sympathize with overworked servers. However everyone was walking around doing NOTHING. The menu is large, although it is the same sandwiches and burgers with one ingredient changed and renamed. The food was the worst ive ever had and I eat out at least 6 days a week. Our waitress Sami was WORTHLESS. My food came out wrong and my boyfriend was DONE before I could get UP and get this womans attention. Do NOT waste time or money here. NOT Vegetarian friendly in the LEAST.

WOW!! this place is rated 2 stars!?!?! I was surprised! I loved this place! I was visiting family in the area and ate here twice! I love it! I was not disappointed at all! Big cups for water! Service was great! Menus were big haha! Hell I even got a T-shirt! A lot of choices! I will be eating there again next time I visit good ole North Dakota again. I miss the snow!

If you like eating American Kitsch, then this restaurant is right for you! If you want tasty food, I'd go elsewhere. The falcon fingers - they were supposed to have salsa mixed in with the batter. Hate to tell y'all (ok, no I don't) - salt and pepper are NOT salsa! Not even close. The deep fried green beans were interesting, but not worth the cost. My food was only lukewarm, but since it had taken forever and a day to get out to us, I wasn't inclined to wait another 30 minutes just to see if I could get something hot. The service was so slow, it was pathetic.

Huge menu, literally. It's printed on 13x17 sized pages. It's almost too big to hold and offers so many choices it's hard to choose. There are dozens of ways to get a burger or chicken sandwich, a number of dinners, and about 20 beers on tap. Dinner portions are good amount of food though they're served on oversized platters that make them look huge. The one minus to my recent visit was that service was spotty. I saw other staff running back and forth with trays constantly, but my waitress was seldom seen.

Huge menu. No really, that is one big menu with tons of meal choices. Portions are huge and tasty. I mostly eat salads when I eat there after seven but they have huge salads for a moderate price. My only real complaint is that they are way understaffed. Chose to leave one night because of waiting for obviously open tables. Friendly staff and if you don't mind a wait good times ensue. Large capacity dining rooms left empty do to staffing. If your kids need a job to offset the high cost of school tuition, send them to Sanford's, they'll train them. Please, I like this place and would like to not wait so much so set your kid on the right track as they are needed in the food service industry here in Dickinson.

OK if you want heart attack inducing comfort food..which is fun once in a while, but if you ate here routinely, you'd be a prime candidate for type 2 diabetes. Not vegetarian friendly at all. Not all pints are a dollar but the beer prices are not listed anywhere that I could see. They consider Shinerbock beer a microbrew?!?!

We have been going to Sanford's for a couple years now. They have some very unique hamburger, chicken sandwich, and salad selections, and their prime rib is some of the best I've had. They have a great way of adding extra flavor to the items on your plate. Go hungry because they really load you up with food. It's also a great place to get a huge mug of your favorite draft beer at a great price. It has become our favorite place to eat in Dickinson.

I have been there a few times...not entirely impressed. The menu is overwhelming to me. They have a few things I like, it's a wrap with chicken? and bacon with avocado ranch sauce... Without the bacon it needs seasoning, but with s&p it's good. And the fact they serve peanut butter with their fried pickles is weird to me. If you have lots of time to waste then try this place cuz they're sssslllllloooooowwwww. But, last time I was there, there was a manager there from Texas os somewhere to help get things inline... So hopefully he wasn't just saying that cuz I mentioned the slow service to him.
