Had breakfast here on a business trip. Tried the Western Omelette with Pancakes. Great Hashbrowns and the Pancakes had good taste and texture. Overall Good comfort food. Very friendly staff. Would eat here again.

Had lunch here today and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. Frys were very good and the burger was average. Waitress was a bit stand offish but so would you if you were stuck in North Dakota. I would probably not go again.

After being told that we were staying the entire weekend in Dickinson because our truck was in the shop, we decided on the La Quinta and I was thrilled to find out that it had a restaurant on site. I'm usually wary of places that have "country" in the title as we eat at a lot of Country Pride's. We never actually ate inside of the restaurant but we did order our food "to-go" 4 times. Each time I called, I was warmly greeted and was treated friendly and my order was taken quickly. I was a little upset to find out that they did not take to-go orders on Sunday but I assumed they're busy. I ordered the steak and shrimp the first two times and asked for my steak to be cooked "medium". It was cooked perfectly! I have to admit, I was shocked. It was juicy, tender and was lightly seasoned. My shrimp were humongous and crispy. I decided to go with the mashed potatoes and baked apples as my two sides. I would have preferred white gravy but the brown was just as good. The baked apples were just like the ones from Cracker Barrel! Delicious. My husband had the meatloaf and as he sat down to eat it, he looked at me and said "wow, this is homemade!" He loved it and I'm pretty sure he scarfed it down in seconds. Get the mashed potatoes with this...it's a perfect combination. We also ordered breakfast twice and the bacon was phenomenal. Seriously, cooked perfect. The biscuits and gravy were also spot on. Much better than the breakfast that the La Quinta offered. I was pretty impressed with the Country Kitchen as I was not expecting decent food based on the Yelp reviews. Get a slice of the apple pie, for sure. My only request? Offer dinner rolls with meals, white gravy for the mashed potatoes and beer! Looking forward to my next stop in Dickinson!

I'm from Chicago, so I know what good food is about. Bacon was great, biscuits and gravy were good, but the strawberry pancakes were the best I ever had. Service was good, place was clean. Would definitely do breakfast there again.

Please do yourself a favor and dont come here. I got oatmeal with the assumption you can't screw up oatmeal. My oatmeal came out cold, with milk, the milk came out 5min before the oatmeal and with none of the typical toppings that one would expect (nuts, brown sugar, fruit, ect.). On an additional note, we had to grab our own silverware, and menus from another table. Needless to say I will not be coming back here. Maybe go to subway and eat fresh it will be exponentially better.

We stopped here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised how great the food and service was. I had a cup of their bean soup which tasted great and served hot The chicken fried steak also had great flavor and apple for desert all which tasted like homemade The service was just superb. If you are looking for great food and service this is the place I strongly recommend.

Great food and quick and friendly service. I'll admit, I've only been here once, (and it will more than likely be my only visit considering I don't spend much time in North Dakota) but they definitely capitalized on their one shot at me and made a great impression.

Now Hiring Cooks! This seems like the theme of the restaurant. The building seems nice and homey, the wait staff is friendly, and the place actually seems welcoming. The one missing piece is the food. On a recommendation from our hotel we decided to try out the local country kitchen and I wish we would have gone somewhere else. The husband ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue Skillet and I got the Double Up Skillet. As I opened my first to-go carton I wasn't very impressed, small french toast slices missing the promised powdered sugar and I guess they ran out of to go butter since it was no where to be found in my bag. As I opened the second carton I was greeted by eggs that were supposed to be fresh but instead tasted more like the powdered eggs I would have found at the hotel, bacon that tasted like it had been on the grill for 3 days and hashbrowns that made me pause and look at what I was eating since I couldn't tell the difference between the plastic fork I was using and the hashbrowns that were supposed to be going into my mouth. As my husband dived into his breakfast the meal he was expecting wasn't as promised. The chicken strips were missing the flavor of chicken, not sure how that is possible since they come frozen and all the cooks have to do is fry them up, guess their fryer takes away the flavor as well. What was supposed to be a nice looking skillet presentation was instead a pile of food smothered in so much cheese sauce we started looking for the tortilla chips as it resembled some type of dip instead of a meal. Again the scrambled eggs tasted powdered like mine and the ham wasn't very good either. Another restaurant we have unfortunately scratched off our list of places we can eat here in Dickinson. Might have to stop going out to eat as the restaurants here seem to be lacking in flavor and quality. From the other reviews I've noticed the manager makes an apology, on this one I don't need a response, just noting all the failures of the restaurant so you can do something about it. I've posted pictures of our meals.

Seems to be an average country type diner. My family and I have been a few times now for breakfast and haven't really had any complaints but weren't ever really wowed either. The staff is ok, they seem to be good at their jobs but not super friendly. They are there to get your order, check on you once or twice and then take your money, not much for being friendly. If our one year old son wasn't such a cute flirt I don't think we would've seen many smiles from any of he waitresses. Usually at places like this one I can always rely on good hash and eggs but I must say the hashbrowns were terrible! Aside from that though I have no complaints; I really enjoyed the country fried steak...it had a good crisp to it, tender inside and the gravy is pretty good. We will be back for breakfast for sure.

Great service and good food! I had steak and eggs with hash browns and pancakes. Pancakes were creamcheese pancakes and they were good !! Normally I don't eat them cause they have too much dough but here they are made nice and fluffy! Our waitress had great customer service and my husband had omelet it was great I normally don't try them cause they aren't cooked well inside but here they did good!

This is truly a Country Kitchen and as such, the oatmeal was instant and they served you 4 egg breakfasts. Whole wheat toast was blah Just lowered to 1 star ;(The waitress just sneezed in the kitchen, blew her nose, threw the tissue on the counter came out and started filling all the bottles on the table. No hand wash ;(

Went in for breakfast around 9. I stood quite a while waiting to be seated so I sat down on a bench seat and waited. After 5 minutes I stood up again trying to get their attention. Many female employees along with a young man (assumed he may be a manager as he was wearing a button down shirt as opposed to the red wait staff shirt) were gathered around the cash register area visiting. One of the waitresses started walking towards me while she was putting food in her mouth, but she turned around and went back to the cash register. I ended up walking to the cash register and asked to be seated. Once seated my order was taken promptly and the food came quickly. I ordered biscuits and gravy and a side of ham. The flavor was good, but the gravy was very light on sausage. My whole serving only had 3 small bits.

I didn't get to post a review while in Dickinson for country kitchen since our stay was so brief so here it is. My friend and I stopped here for dinner during an event weekend in Dickinson. It seemed like the whole wait staff was having a bad day when we checked in but because we were tired we stayed so we could eat and go straight to the hotel which was next door and did not check reviews. After we sat down I wish I had. We were expecting a nice home cooked style meal but what we got was far from it. Everything we ordered came straight from a box or a bag. It was the quality of mcdonalds with a higher price. I can't say it was horrible because we were so hungry we ate it but the advertising is wrong. Mashed potatoes should not come from a box!!! The waitresses seemed so stressed and frustrated that you just didn't want to say anything which meant we had no drink refills but all in all.. If you don't mind processed, frozen meat this place isn't so bad.

Went to breakfast here today. Immediately felt a warm welcome when we came in. We were seated immediately and they were courteous enough to ask if we were ok with our seating or if we preferred to be seated somewhere else. Our waitress was upbeat, great attitude and very accommodating. The food was not spectacular...I'd say it's similar to most average restaurants like it. If I had to choose between Country Kitchen and Perkins, hands down CK all the way mainly for their awesome customer service. Overall a great experience. If the food was phenomenal too, I'd have given it 5 stars.

Very good country skillet. French toast was great as well. I'm giving them 5 stars because customer service seems to be disappearing in today's world... Not here. At 5:45am our server was very cheerful, attentive, and friendly. Great breakfast.
