Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Me and my brothers were in the mood for something with green chile's in it. And we were disappointed to find that they are closed. They had the best Mexican food in town as far as we were concerned. Can't go to LA Carreta and order green chile's because they don't know what that is. I tried. If los lunas closed to relocate, I would LOVE to know where they went. Those guys are cool man! The owner even sold me 100 bucks worth of green chile's!

Amazing! I love this place and am so excited we found it. One of my friends asked for something that wasn't on the menu and they were happy to make it. Such a lovely family and a touching story. -off-menu-asking friend here... It was great! I traveled in from Dallas and this reminded me of home!

It's nothing special... If you were eating Mexican food in Los Angeles. It is just shy of amazing for Mexican food this far from Mexico. I was really skeptical at first when I saw the menu and it didn't break down how pork and beef was prepared (asada, barbacoa, etc). But then I saw they served menudo and I had to try it. I absolutely love chorizo egg burritos. It was fatty, greasy, spicy and cooked perfectly just like if I had ordered it in LA. The salsa was actual salsa and not Pace/tomato sauce like I would expect in the Midwest. I hope this place thrives; People need to realize that this is real Mexican food!!! I'll be coming here a lot- specially when I miss home. Thanks for the burrito.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN BISMARCK PERIOD!!!!!! I am originally from California so I have been missing Mexican food on a regular basis. There are some places that come pretty close to being authentic but they are not very fresh sometimes. Los Luna's was not only authentic in its flavor and taste but it was also very fresh. I ordered 4 tacos and it came on a plate with rice and beans. You know the restaurant is good when the rice and beans are delicious, the basic staples! The tacos were freshly fried corn tortillas and it was delicious. They also have Chorizo with eggs for breakfast and Tamales you can order ahead of time. Needless to say, I will be back. This place is like an oasis in the middle of the Sahara dessert. Totally reminds me of home!

This place is awesome! Love the food, amazing chips, made from scratch! I enjoyed the enchiladas the most so far. Don't let the Gateway mall part scare you away. Atmosphere is "different", but you go for the food not the ambiance.

Winners of the most coveted 3 OMG's Award!!! Best Enchiladas in North Dakota! Red sauce is simply amazing!! Green sauce is outstanding as well! Big portions with lots of filling. I tried the Pork and cheese options and both were great. Beans and rice sides were good too. Make a point to find this place...you will instantly become a regular.

The food was good but VERY expensive for a fast food place in a mall. One single item a la carte was $9.00. My final bill was 16.00 plus a tip. I was here from California and came on the recommendations here but was quite disappointed. Atmosphere is important when you end up with a bill at over 18.00 and had 1 item, a side of chips and a very small side of guacamole and a drink. Felt cheap . Motel 6 atmosphere with Hilton prices

What's going on in this town? Now there are three decent to great places for Mexican Food: La Carreta, Tacos Palenque, and now Los Lunas! Outstanding Mexican food served by friendly folks, how could you not love that! Everything I've tried so far has been fabulous. As another reviewer stated, don't let the fact they're in Gateway Mall dissuade you from stopping in to try this place. Caught a burrito on the way home last night and their special was ceviche...gotta try that sometime real soon. They're closed Mondays.

Really good. Reminds me of the food I get in CA and NV. Great to see a place like this here in Bismarck. The owners are from Arizona and super nice. Don't let the notion of it being in the Gateway Mall deter you for experiencing this great food. It was easy to find and I'll be back for more.

I used to stop in 3 - 4 times a week and usually got the beef chimichanga with red or green sauce, but all their food is superb. In fact, I moved out of state and have tried close to a dozen Mexican restaurants in search of delicious fare but nothing has even come close to matching Los Luna's. Meet the beautiful owners and see the passion they have for creating perfection . In short, Los Luna's is the best Mexican food I've ever had, and I've been to Mexico -- now go find out for yourself!

As a native Southern Californian, Mexican food is both a necessity and an art form for me. Relocating to Bismarck and having NO good Mexican food was tough. Then I got pregnant and all I wanted was a good enchilada. My husband found this place on Yelp last year and we tried it and I was blown away. FINALLY! We go back often and I'm always beyond thrilled with the quality of food and the service. It is a bit pricey for mall food, but worth every penny even for a family on a single I come budget. THANK YOU, LOS LUNAS for saving my sanity and my pallet. ;)

My favorite Mexican food in Bismarck for sure. Now they need a proper restaurant with cervezas. Price is already almost at restaurant level.

Finally got to try this place after hearing a lot about it. Beat all my expectations but I would call their food New Mexican (as in NM, the State between Texas and Arizona) not Mexican. Their signature green chile sauce is made with real Hatch chiles (as in Hatch, New Mexico). The food was very fresh and absolutely delicious. I have tried the chile relleno and the carne asada burrito smothered in green chile and they were both amazing. Definitely worth having to go into the mall.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find quality Mexican/New Mexican cuisine in Bismarck, ND (of all places). The food was delicious and the service was great! Not to mention the green and red chili is straight from Hatch, NM. Awesome.

Ok first off its in the mall. I Don't want people yelling at their GPS like I was "what the f*€* GPS" and drive around it like 10 times. Ok so the food was awesome and the pico was really good. And you can pre order tamales!!! That's what's up... Gracias Las Lunas hasta la próxima vez. La cali hombre blanco
