Been there 3 times. Service was terrible all 3 times. High price menu, low quality food. Last time, had reservation for 7:30, didn't get seated till almost 9:00. No return trip for any of us. Beer selection was good. 1 star for that.

We were in from the SF Bay Area visiting a relative. This restaurant is relatively new without many Yelp reviews. We decided to give it a try, and it was EXCELLENT. We had the panzanella salad with burrata for appetizer, and the bison ragu pasta and bison and wild rice meatballs for entrees. Everything was really, really good. We would have been very happy with the meal in the Bay Area, and there are far fewer options in Bismarck. Really glad we ate here and highly recommended.

Good god! Martini is perfect! Nice fatty Rib-eye too. Great service and friendly people.

I went over for a business lunch. The burger was okay. Somehow the meat was chewable though it was far too well done. They up charge you $2.50 if you share a burger. Even though that means THEY DON'T HAVE TO COOK 2 BURGERS. I didn't ask for 2 plates. I don't care. My server seemed high, my salad was not worth $5. My advice would be: If you want to charge big city prices, up the quality of both your food and the service. Or give me a free beer for putting up with this, then I'll be in a much better mood!

My wife and I stick to the restaurants in Bismarck that we are familiar with, but every anniversary we end up picking a place that we both haven't been to. We had heard really good things from co-workers about Broadway Grill and Tavern. When we walked in, the atmosphere was darker, but quiet. We sat in the dining section, and noticed the fine décor on the walls and at our table. Our server was fantastic, and occasionally checked on us. Excellent beer and wine selection, appetizers, and the main courses we had were spectacular. I highly recommend the bacon cheeseburger, as it's one of the best burgers in town! Very juicy and flavorful! The prices are a little on the higher side, but was well worth it. We will be back!

This restaurant has it all. Great bar, innovative menu, beautiful outdoor patio. Parmesan crusted Walleye and beet salad were awesome.

Broadway Grill & Tavern is a good addition to the Bismarck dining/bar scene. Bismarck has greatly changed over the decades and I'm happy to see my hometown growing and prospering! The prices were comparable to Pirogue Grill, which I wouldn't mind paying if the caliber was similar. The Bison Ragu was fine, but I've had better in other cities for a more affordable price. The Broadway Babe martini was too sweet for my liking, but other reviewers liked it and it's one of their popular items so take my word with a grain of salt. The thick crostini and heavy toppings on the tasty, well-portioned beef carpaccio appetizer made it cumbersome to eat. Try the roasted chicken and glazed donut bread pudding, both were deliciously great! Service was good, but I was also dining with regulars. The restaurant interior lacks warmth and liveliness, but it recently opened so perhaps in time, that may change. The bar ambiance is more merry and alive. My friends & I ate in the bar and had belly aching laughs and no one cared. I miss Bismarck and its lack of pretentiousness! Bottom line: If you are looking for a place to enjoy a nice dinner and be somewhat 'rambunctious' without feeling embarrassed, I'd give Broadway Grill & Tavern a whirl! Eat in the bar if you want to have more FUN!

I enjoy eating here. There food is prepared and seasoned well, and the service is generally good. I've had a few of the entrée salads, and I've enjoyed the tuna tataki appetizer. I would return to either sit at the bar or on the patio, which are beautiful. The décor of the dining room is lackluster.

Meatballs and burgers are great. Atmosphere in the dining room is kind of weird and sitting in the bar area is much nicer. They have a pretty good drink menu too.

The food was delicious. I had the Denver cut sirloin, order med-rare and it came out exactly how I like it! I love the big selection for cocktails, beers, and especially wine. We have been here a few times now and will defiantly come back. We had one bad experience with a bad bartender (always on his phone and not paying attention to the bar) but that won't stop us from enjoying a night out.

As soon as I opened the menu, and saw the burrata-panzanella salad, I knew this was going to be good. It did not disappoint!! There were so many delicious looking starters on the menu that it was hard to narrow it down to just a few. We went with the wine lovers meat and cheese tray, the chorizo potato skins and horseradish deviled eggs topped with paddlefish caviar. O.M.G. Dinner was also delicious! I had a juicy and tender sirloin with a side of their decadent mac and cheese. The meal was topped off with a pistachio creme brulee. This meal was Disney quality, and Floridians don't throw that around lightly! The service was also excellent! I can't wait to go back and try all of the other innovative and delicious sounding things on the menu. Peacock, Bistro, etc. are all on notice to step up their game!

I have been here for lunch a couple times and the food and service were great. The burgers and fries were delicious and the soup was very good. They make a mean beer cheese soup. The butter they served with the bread was noteworthy also.

Good food coldly executed. They have some of the best appetizers around. And ten dollars for an appetizer is not bad. We had the buffalo meatballs and the beef skewers. Both were delicious. This was our second time here. The first time the service was terrible but they had just opened so maybe it was just growing pains. Well we went again today. Food was delicious except for my meal.He had the bison ragut and I had the walleye. His was great. Mine had a chunk of something crunchy in my sandwich like a bone or something. Yes I know fish have bones but it sucks to take a bite of a sandwich and have to be very careful after you discover it's got bones in it, not exactly a sandwich you want to eat again. But once over that first bite it ended well, the walleye sandwich was light and fluffy. The fries were too salty too eat. My problem is the wait staff. No one said hi or anything when you come in. We sat in the bar and the owner from the commercial for the Broadway grill was in there. Okay this place is somewhat fancy and she is running around in stuff like you clean your garage in. Which I could get over if she had at least seemed friendly. Owners set the tone for their places. If they are in their place they should be talking to people welcoming people and helping their staff set the tone. The man who waited on us was unfriendly as well. I think a smile might have actually killed them. While the food came out relatively fast, I only got one refill on my iced tea and by the end was drinking out of my partner water glass. Would I go back again? Probably not. I can spend money at places that have good food and friendlier people. I don't expect a "Cheers" atmosphere but watching your waiter duck behind a wall to answer a text is not exactly kosher, the owner run around unsmiling in her own restaurant is just a wee bit much. Go elsewhere unless you want your food served frosty style.

Nice elegant atmosphere. Great for business or social outings. Beautiful bar area and outside patio area as well.

Been there three times and service needs to improve considering the price for items. Great selection of infused Martinis. It's too bad the atmosphere or the decor doesn't match the great food. I think they have great burgers and excellent Martinis. The steak had an exceptional flavor to it.

Visited here for the first time last night with my husband. Hands down best burger and fries I have ever eaten! Price was average (less expensive than I thought it would be) and a service was fast! We defiantly will be back !

Service is good, especially for having just opened. Food for lunch was good and reasonably priced. However, dinner was overpriced for what you get (both quantity and quality). Steaks are tough (on separate nights with separate people). And completely inflexible on substitutions. And the substitution I wanted to make was for salad dressing!! They wouldn't even put it on the side. Certainly not the worst place I've been, but no place I'd choose to eat dinner again if the decision were mine alone. And that's even taking into consideration the fact that this is Bismarck and the options are limited. Pirogue or Toasted Frog are better options.
