Lam's Garden, or as I would have pronounced it, Lin's Garden, sit in the less travelled strip mall, corner Tarboro and Ward, being neighbor to nail salon, a Subway, and Blockbuster, which is coincidentally closing soon. Let's get down to the nitty gritty: This is your standard cheap and fast Chinese food, better to get it during lunch, because no matter what the sign says, you just know that the food do have MSG. However, that's not my gripe. One dish I always get every time I found a new fast Chinese food place, which is House Lo-Mein. It's just because the way it SHOULD be prepared: meats and the veggie shouldn't be cooked, frozen, and recooked; the noodles should go directly into the wok, because pre-boiled noodle become soft and generally break easily when doing stir fry. My impression of Lam's House Lo-Mein wasn't too bad, but.... Most of the dishes at Lam's have the same if not very similar sauce, that sweet soy sauce glaze. I'm not too big of a fan on that.
