Andy and Mary run one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed at. I've backed away from B&B's over the last few years because I've found them to have un-inspired hosts and to be over-decorated in a frilly way, but Across The Pond as just what I had hoped for.

What a wonderful find. We were thrilled with Across the Pond. Andy and Mary are the ultimate host and hostess. He with his love of people and she with her warm ways to make our stay just right. Loved the house and accommodations. The home is beautifully detailed with a wonderful art work and also with collections of Andy's love of soccer and his heritage. Mary treated us every night and morning with her culinary skills, plus her sweet smile. I must say this is the BEST bed and breakfast that we have ever stayed in. We will be back. We can see why you chose Salisbury as your new home.

Stayed here recently and loved it! Mary and Andrew are the best hosts! The house is decorated beyond what I can describe. The period details have been lovingly restored and yet the decor is also tastefully modernized. I felt like I was a guest in a close friends' home. The bed was the most comfortable ever! My husband was worried about the train sounds (they are up front about that) but with their amazing white noise machine, he had an amazing rest (and he is a baby about the slightest noise or sound). Everything from decor, linens and the breakfast with homemade bread and scones was beyond our expectations. We will be back soon! Great neighborhood to walk around and close to restaurants and cute shops.

Had a wonderful stay here for three nights in the heart of Salisbury. The bedroom was clean, comfortable (AC works great!) and beautifully decorated. The proprietors Andy and Mary are delightful, and hail from the UK - hence the name 'Across the pond'. The B&B is a historic place that has been tastefully redecorated throughout, and has quite a history that Andy and Mary will enjoy sharing with you. Guest parking at the side of the house is ample - you just have to keep your eyes open for the guest parking sign, which is the second drive on the left as you pass the house. Breakfast was fantastic. A great find.

Wow! My wife and I stayed here for our 11th wedding anniversary and was pleasantly surprised by the high level of service. The bed in the Picot room is exquisite. The homemade bread was amazing. And most importantly, the owners are delightful. This is a hidden gem in Salisbury, NC. We will be back soon! George

We recently stayed with Mary and Andy at their B&B in Salisbury, NC. Had a terrific time there. The house is historic and has been beautifully restored with all the modern conveniences. The hosts are terrific; they made us feel welcome from the first minute we met. Extremely comfortable accommodations; we both slept through the night, even with the train whistles. To top it all off they cooked a delicious English country breakfast for us. Can't say enough about Mary and Andy's place. The next time we are in the vicinity of Salisbury, NC we will try to stay with them again.

Scoured the web for a nice place to stay for a two day business trip. Would always rather do a B&B than a hotel. Their website ISN'T MOBILE FRIENDLY IN THE LEAST, so I called to make a reservation. The gentleman who answered was too lazy to take my reservation over the phone and directed me to their website, so with that said I don't have a lot of faith that staying there is as magical as their site makes it seem. Total shame because I was willing to pay over what my company would compensate just to stay there since it looked so nice. I would give zero stars if it were an option.
