I've been looking for a bar that can serve as my local go-to and I think Local House might just fit that bill. I have been there a couple times since it recently opened and I really like the atmosphere. I also highly enjoy the fact that they use fresh fruit juice in their drinks instead of mix. The decor is modern and clean, with one red wall and the others covered in silver corrugated metal. Their hand-made clear varnished wood bar is beautiful. I also enjoy their location, which is on the outskirts of downtown Greensboro, near the baseball stadium and the future downtown greenway. Its easy to get to from Battleground and you don't have to battle with the crazy downtown bar scene.

Saturday night's grand opening was my fourth visit to Local House Bar, and I've had a great experience every time. Being in such close proximity to the baseball stadium, you have to expect the place to be a sports bar, and it is... sort of. I'm generally not a fan of sports bars, and usually because of the clientele, but every time I've been there, the crowd had been pretty diverse, which to me is a big appeal of any bar. Inside they've done a nice job with making a basic square room more interesting than that. I like the industrial feel of the corrugated metal behind the bar. The bar itself seats about 15, and the rest of the space is open and clean with tables along the left wall and a couch in the corner. You can even win a free beer at ski-ball! There are 7-8 beer taps and will be having revolving craft brews, as well as a couple expected domestics. Excellent selection of bottles and cans, and much better prices than what you normally see in Greensboro. The daily specials offer even better value - they're definitely doing this right. All three bartenders I've met there have been prompt and courteous, even on busy nights - excellent service. Outside is a generous patio with picnic tables and large planters all around. This will be an exceptional space when warm weather returns, and the plants create a little privacy. To me, the people make the bar, and the owners and bartenders of Local House are doing an excellent job. Absolutely worth a visit.

Visited this bar for the first time while in Greensboro. It is a neighborhood bar pure and simple. No food, just good drinks and great bartenders like Renee and Liz. You don't have to dress up when you go and they make everyone feel welcome.

Awesome bar. Cheap beer, friendly staff, and it has skeeball. They don't serve food but have food trucks park outside a couple of nights a week. And it's $1 beers on grasshopper game days
