We had Terrance as our server and he was prompt, professional, and nice. He joked and laughed with us which made our dinner feel more homely. The food was great and I even saw the manager taking efforts to keep the food areas super clean.

I'm going to try and make this update short and sweet. I love buffets. I love Golden Corral buffets. This is the BEST Golden Corral that I've ever patronized. Why? The people behind the scenes KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING! Management KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING! Food containers are kept full, fresh, and delicious. They have pulled pork AND pulled chicken barbecue. (The Golden Corral in Hickory, NC, my hometown, doesn't have BBQ, period.) They have properly cooked collard greens on the buffet, with pepper vinegar, another first for me. The pot roast is tremendous. They have grilled pork cutlets. Veggies. Fried Okra. Mac 'n Cheese. Salad. Fresh fruit. OMG......unlimited yeast rolls. A chocolate fountain. I watched the female chef, SEASON the meat that she was grilling, which is a first at a Golden Corral. (see my note above about competency!) I'm sorry, this review is five times longer than I intended, but I really like this particular Golden Corral. I ate a plate piled high with very well prepared food for $10.44. One plateful was enough! The service from "Ann" was amazing as well. A manager thanked me for my business as I was leaving. When has that ever happened before at a Golden Corral? Answer: Never.

This location is a pretty busy one! I like the fact that they offer different foods than the Greensboro locations, and they are MUCH cleaner. Greensboro really needs to get on board. The food was hot and fresh, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean. I can't ask for more really.

Lot of choices on their buffet, lot of spicy options which I love and also can put together a salad that will compete with anywhere. Sometimes a little noisy but handles a lot of poeple. Their breakfasts on Friday-Sunday are as good as can be found and food is almost always fresh in appearance and taste.

Fir $12 I am getting vegetables that aren't over cooked and a very tasty pot roast, plus dessert. This is not high end dining, but for the money it gets my vote.

The Golden Corral has been around the South for years, One is pretty much like another. I have eaten at many of them. I disagree with the other reviewer. I believe the food is generally the same at the various locations. There is no way you will get this type of variety of food anywhere for lunch time for $10.00. If you are a Senior Citizen it's around 8.00 with the tax. Some items are quite good which I will list. Great salad bar including potato salad etc. Forget the deviled eggs as they are very bland. The fried chicken is definitely a winner if all you do is just pig out on it. The meatloaf is excellent and I agree the pot roast can't get much better. These items all taste homemade. I get the mashed potatoes and put the "chicken" gravy over it and it is good to go. You'll need to salt most things which is good so you may add or not add. You'll want to get a dollop of butter on your plate to add to certain veggies to promote more flavor. There is pizza, shrimp dishes, fish, beans of all kinds, spaghetti, Chinese food etc. The list goes on. The servers keep your glasses filled with their great tea and coffee is offered free of charge at times. The rolls are to die for. I'm on a fixed income so I stilck to water and the senior discount helps. I eat at lunch here about 1:30 or so and I'm stuffed for the day. I've had everything in the world to select from and well the desserts and melons, etc to end your meal is wonderful. This is not a five star place but there are plenty of good options for the pickyest of appetites at this price. You have to walk all around the buffet areas before putting things on your plate so you'll have room for the things you preter. I am rating this restaurant for food taste, variety and value. Remember " You must try the fried chicken!"
