Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

"Howes Your Pizza" is a question I have asked myself for several months. While I previously tried to sample their goods on a Sunday, I found myself hungry and without pizza since they are not open for business on this day. The simple solution to sampling their goods was to visit Monday thru Saturday. I have visited and eaten their food on three occasions and I'm encouraged to try a fourth or more. On a Saturday I had their 9" personal pizza with a meatball topping and a Steak and Cheese sub ( AKA Philly Cheese steak sandwich) On another occasion I enjoyed a "Guy's Pizza" with an Italian sub. Their pizza crust was neither distinctively chewy, crispy, thick or thin. But, it was not a doughy Pizza Hut or Papa John's style pizza. Their sauce and cheese is is neither tart or sweet but is well balanced. Cheese is flavorful and not overpowering. The " Guy's Pizza" was loaded with sausage, ham, bacon, and pepperoni of very good quality. The previous meatball pizza I first had presented slightly overcooked meatballs which must have come from an overheated oven. That's almost forgivable, because crust preservation is priority one ! Their Philly cheese steak sandwich was not one I would order again unless I ate in house. I ordered take out and did not have a chance to eat the cheesesteak until 30 minutes later. It's not really fair to judge based on this. I still can't get over their "Guy's Pizza" which was loaded with the meats previously described. The crust was firm and chewy and slightly soft in the center. This was clearly due to the abundant amount of delicious meat toppings. I can't wait to try it in house rather than take out. They have daily specials during M-F. Their Friday special is 1/2 price cold subs. I had a very good 6 inch Italian sub for $1.80. They did not skimp in any manner and included ham, salami, provolone, onion, vinegar. oil, tomato and oregano on a nice piece of Italian bread. In fact, they were packed on a Friday evening ! On a third visit, I ordered the 12 " Italian sub on a half price Friday. The bread was solid and gave great satisfying bite resistance. The meats were very good and topped with onions, sweet red onions with extra oil, vinegar and oregano just as I asked. I loved it, greasy fingers and shirt stains included !!!. Can you beat that??? The owners describe their pizza as "NY Style pizza " and state they are from Albany, NY. Give'em 6 months in Brooklyn and they'll be OK ! I truly wish them continued success !! Edit 26June10 - Spaghetti and meatball dinner was a disappointment as was a mini calzone. Meatballs were clearly a frozen product like one can buy in any supermarket. Garlic knots packed inside of same container as spaghetti and meatballs leading to a soggy garlic knot. Calzone: inexpensive and light on the cheeses. Dough was chewy stretchy; no exterior crispness, thin skinned and very thick folded border. Served with a salty, possibly non home made sauce. I stand by my positive assessment of subs and pizza but, navigate the menu carefully. I'll check in again.

Awful. We made a stop here while traveling through Bunn. Tables needed cleaning, floor needed sweeping. Pizza was some of the worst pizza I've ever had. No flavor. Tough. Chewy. Like eating leather. My 3 year old took one bite and said "mommy I don't like this pizza". Me either son. Me either.

I don't know what the other people are talking about! I got their sheet pizza and some garlic knots. With that sheet pizza I was able to feed me, my sister, brother-in-law, nieces (ages 20, 11 and 7) and last but not least...my son and my nephew. Oh I forgot to mention that my son is 18 6' tall and my Nephew is 17 and is 6' 9" tall! And you know how much boys can eat! There were also 5 pieces left over...which the boys had later of course. I must also mention that the price to feed all EIGHT of us came to about $23.00!!!! I came across this place just by chance. My sister had just moved here from Colorado and needless to say we all were hungry and the kitchen wasn't ready for cooking. The people were not only friendly with their customers, but also with each other. My order didn't take long at all, it was hot, fresh and GREAT!!! Funny thing is I told my husband about this place, he tried to "one up me" with a so called sheet pizza from a place here.... The pizza wasn't even baked all the way, the pepperonis looked like dimes, and it didn't even come close to the size of the sheet pizza I got. Bottom line.... GET YOUR PIZZA FROM HOWES YOUR PIZZA!!

I've been a fan of their pizza since I moved to the area but their quality has gone down hill, their prices have become unreasonable and they constantly screw up my order with no amicable solutions offered. I'll drive to Nashville and get pizza from La Mamma in the future. What a disappointment!! UPDATE: I decided to give them a second shot today and placed a delivery order. I ordered 25 wings, a small salad and a large cheese pizza. This order was $40 plus tip ($45). I asked that half the wings be mild and the other half honey bbq. And when asked I told them I wanted them all bone in. What I got was half mild like I wanted and half boneless mild. My daughter wanted honey BBQ as she does not like buffalo style wings. On top of it the cheese pizza was not cut properly and would tear when trying to get a slice out. I had to get out my own pizza wheel and recut pie. The clincher was when my wife called to let them know they messed up the order. She asked to speak to manager and was placed on hold then disconnected! I'm done. Never again and I wouldn't be shy on telling others what I think about Howes Your Pizza either!
