Me and my colleagues toured Boone for the day, and this was all of our favorite place to be at. Scott, one of the owners, was very hospitable and willing to share with us the history of the inn. This year on June 3 they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary of the place. It has received a triple AAA four diamond for over sixteen years in a row. The history is so unique. Appalachian State University (ASU) legislation that allowed the institute to exist was signed in one of the rooms. The door frames are surrounded with chestnut. The landscape surrounding the inn is beautiful there are beautiful flowers surrounding it a nice gazebo to sit in and enjoy the peace and quietness. Not to far from the gazebo is a beautiful waterfall. Even if you do not want to spend the night here, stop in for a visit. The tour and history is well worth it. We sat on the porch and looked at the beautiful mountains and hemlock tress in front of us.

We stayed at Lovill House over the 4th of July in 2006 for three nights. Our room, the Hickory Room was huge. With a big sitting area, fireplace, big big bathroom etc. The grounds are lovely, and the woman (part of the husband wife team owners), Anne works very hard in garden, and her efforts are very obvious. The flower beds, and lawn etc. are just beautiful. The price includes a breakfast, as usual in BandBs, and it's good also. It's a little expensive, but it's worth it if you're the type of traveller, as am I, who doesn't subscribe to the "I'm hardly ever in the room" philosophy. The two of them are also very helpful in terms of where to go and what to see, and invite you to put your own things in the refrigerator for late night snacks, etc. All in all, it's a good place to stay, in particular if you want to stay more than one night and need room to be comfortable. I do wish the television had been bigger. That's about the only qualifier I would have

My colleagues and I wanted to explore something fascinated in Boone, NC. We stumbled this bed and breakfast in a 2002 travel guide book. So, we stopped and talked to the owners and how we would like a tour around the house. The owner gave us a tour around the interior of the house and we explored outside around the house. This bed and breakfast is a quiet historic place. It has wifi. Also, if you want a romantic spot, there is a waterfall behind the barn; it is beautiful. The owners are really nice. Also, if you want to be somewhere where history started that the town is impacted, here is the spot. So, if you are looking for a place that is easy to get to town, but is not noisy, here is the place for you.
