Real nice place! $100 for a nice room with a queen bed. Great service that's not in your face. The inn keeper Dave is there if you need him but not over burdening. Clean, close to the shops and beach with great parking. We drove 4 hrs from Norfolk and it was well worth it!

We decided to stay here based on other great reviews and it surely didn't disappoint. The house is beautiful!! The food was AMAZING and Stan was very friendly. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our visit immensely. If you are looking for a cozy, CLEAN place in a great location, at a great price, owned by great people, this is the place!

My mother and I were in town for the Pirate Invasion and stayed in Rachel's Room for two nights. We met Dave upon our arrival and he gave us a tour of the inn. The room itself was very small (probably the smallest one at the inn) but it served its purpose, The bed was extremely comfortable. We met Sherry, the resident inn keeper, and she was always delightful. A continental-style breakfast was served every morning, consisting of coffee, homemade baked pastries, yogurts, cereals, and fruit. The pastries were delicious! It was nice sitting outside on the patio in the morning with our breakfast and coffee and chatting with the other guests. The inn is in a great location--one block away from the water and the main strip. We didn't use our car once during our stay (parking available-one space per room). It was relatively quiet as well. Other guests were considerate, despite most of the guests that weekend consisting of rowdy pirates. Our room faced the street, so we sometimes got a little noise from the restaurant across the street at night, but nothing too bad. If we return for the invasion again next year--or just return any other time--we will definitely stay here again :)

We visit Beaufort often and have stayed at many fine places, but the Pecan Tree is our favorite. B&B's can be divided into two categories: (1) the 8mm bar of soap and Mr. Coffee approach or the (2) professionally run inn. The first is essentially a house renting out some bedrooms and the second is self explanatory. The Pecan Tree innkeeper has owned it for 12 years and it is a very quiet, clean establishment with lots of small nice touches (high quality bath soaps, free bicycles for guests, power strips to help adapt an older home to modern electrical needs, etc). On top of this, an excellent location. It is a block off Front Street, with it's great shops and restaurants, and the Intercoastal Waterway at your doorstep. It is across the street from Beaufort Grocery, my favorite restaurant in Eastern NC. Let's put it this way, I didn't start the car for two days. Take a guess which of the two categories Pecan Tree Inn leads.

Wow. I stayed here a very long time ago (probably around February 2001) with my girlfriend at the time. I was looking for a romantic getaway on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend I hadn't seen in several weeks... from what I remember it was amazing. A few blocks up from the harbor and we had one of the rooms on the 2nd floor which was very spacious as well as cozy. Yelp wasn't around at this time so I wasn't so I had no way of documenting my feelings of the place at the time. I love being near the water and I love a calm, serene setting. This was both. I hope in the near future I can make my way back here again. It was also a bonus having a delicious fudge shoppe by the harbor that I can't recollect ofcourse... but I'd sniff it out if I ever made it back! Thank you Pecantree Inn.... you were fantastic!
