I know this is a chain restaurant but this typical location I have never been disappointed. The wait staff is always on the ball and the food has always been great. On this particular visit we were celebrating a birthday which included 6 people in our party. We were seated immediately to a 5 top instead of 6 but we made it work...this is probably why I am not giving a 5 star review. Our waitress killed it!!!!! I never had to ask for a refill, she was consistently checking up with us, and made great conversation on any topic we brought up. Very personable and made sure we were 100% satisfied. I couldn't have been happier with our wait staff. The food was fresh and good as always. I typically shy away from chains but this food never disappoints and I feel for the price is a decent value. You have to be picky from the menu in order to get the best deals. Bravo to local AVL PF Chang's staff and management!

Yummy! I'm a girl with a Chinese Mommy raised in China who cooks authentic food from her hometown, and the food here tasted super good! Albeit, the food wasn't authentically Chinese by any means, but it is a PF Chang's located in the suburbs of a small city, so perhaps the cook is not Chinese. The food was delicious, whatever it was made out of. If you put it on a disposable styrofoam plate and told me it was Asian without telling me where you got it, I would believe you if I hadn't had much Asian food before. Good egg drop soup (why was it brown broth colored? Usually it's yellow?), great garlic and pepper egg noodle dish. By the way, on their menu, when it says "Dishes to Share", that implies you will be brought an extra plate and your entree will be in it's own dish with serving spoons. Impersonal wait staff, but sometimes you don't want them to be all over you while you eat. *Disclaimer: I ate here when really hungry.

There is Chinese food...and then there is BIG CORPORATE Chinese Food....PF Changs is the latter and worthy of 5 stars....IMHO. This is housed in the lovely Biltmore Park and has a slick look and feel. Moody lighting, nice decor and great service. Throw in the nice array of menu items (a few being my favority) along with gluten free items and they have a little of everything for everyone. My default is the Lettuce Wraps and I get them every time I patronize this establishment. This place can get busy on the weekends so the bar is sometimes a good fall back position if there is a long wait for seating. This is a main stream franchise, so pricing is in-line with the market, so if you are looking for deals, this probably isn't the place to eat. But if good food and service are on your mind, then PF Changs is the place you should consider for your next meal out.

This PF Chang's is no different than any other of its brethren. Once you've been to one, you've been to them all. Thus the only difference here are the people that work here. The servers that serviced us for our annual Christmas Eve dinner were non-stop and working their tooshies off to make sure that we were good. We had two servers for 3 families, and 3 toddlers so you know it was pretty chaotic. However, they did everything with a smile on their faces and I appreciated all of that. I'm not sure if this is normal for this PF Chang's but it definitely goes to show that there are some people that can keep up the customer relations in the food business.

My wife and I were in Asheville from Chicago and staying at the Hilton within two mins of this PF Changs. We love PFC in Chicago and frequent the Grand Ave location which is two blocks from our condo. We order Chilean Bass every time and like the egg plant. Ordered it to go to take back to our room. Arrived exactly at the specified pkup time and back to room in two mins. The bass was charred so hard it tasted like charcoal. Pictures worth a 1000 words. Alyssa didn't want it. I attached it here. Immediately called the mgr and Alyssa had a second bass prepared and sent to the room. Little better but almost as bad. Too frustrated to call to ask for total credit on meal. She sent a cheesecake for the trouble the first time but the eggplant was cold in the first take out as well. No second replacement. Cold eggplant and charred sea bass. The chefs timing was off tonight. Kind of like Hell's Kitchen but it cost me $40 and a hungry night. But I'm sure she had better things to do than check my bass the second time around. Yelp needs to allow no stars for food not eaten.

First time PF Changs visit. Wait was 45 minutes at 8:45pm. We decided to sit at the bar. Food was excellent. The portions were huge, which was a slight problem since we were staying at a hotel, making taking home leftovers a problem.

I just ate at the Asheville location for the first time. Honestly, I doubt I will be back. The food was great and so was the srink but the service was awful. I was seated and waited close to 20 minutes before someone came up and asked if I had be helped. This person later turned out to be my waitress. How do you not know who is in your section? I asked to speak to the manager and he was nice. As I said, the food was great and the manager took care of the situation but that doesn't excuse the wait staff's horrible service. After reading these reviews, it looks like this wasn't the first time.

I wouldn't normally write a review on a chain resteraunt unless it was very good, so I need to do so in this case. My wife and I went for her birthday lunch, and we were very impressed! I got the Mongolian Beef with Brown rice and my wife got the Sweet and Sour Chicken with white rice. We both enjoyed our meals and thought the food tasted great, and the best thing was our bill was just over $30, and that included two beers and a sweet tea! A must try for lunch!

It might be a chain, but this location is well worth a visit, or 4 or 5. Customer service always great and the lettuce wraps always fresh.

We have eaten at this location quite a few times, and the food sees to be getting worse and the prices getting higher. Today our eggrolls were so greasy that we attempted to send them back. Well, they offered to replace them with something else, but we did not want anything else. We wanted at least one of the eggroll orders to be taken off the bill and they did not offer to do that. I ate my eggroll since I only ordered an appetizer and the eggroll. I got the chicken satay and it was ok, but I had 2 small pieces of lettuce, and 3 pieces of the chicken. My friend had the same and did have 3 pieces of lettuce. We were very disappointed in the way things are going here lately. Seems like they got started by doing good food, and now that they have the business they no longer care about the food. When someone says something is not good and wants to return it, the restaurant should remove that item from the bill. They also should have taken those eggrolls back to the kitchen or to the manager to show them how greasy they were. The one lady who was with us also said the last time she came with her husband her food was cold.

I can't really comment on the quality of the food since I wasn't willing to wait. We arrived at 4 pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was not busy but hostess seated us in the bar area which was empty. I'm thinking ok, maybe they're turning over for dinner service in the main dining area and they don't want us to drop through the cracks. Wrong. We sat there over 5 minutes had both a wait staff and manager look at us but neither made a move to assist us or send someone else. I'm sorry...there are too many other options within walking distance to be neglected. I'll take my dining dollars elsewhere.

Wanted a nice outdoor lunch, picked PF Changs. Bad idea on July 5th since they obviously were having training day in the kitchen. Deb got a crispy calamari appetizer, which she orders frequently. Not crispy, but soggy, and some salted way too much, some not at all, she complained and they cooked her a replacement. Same result, indicating that the line cook (chef would not be appropriate) thought the dish was acceptable. I had my favorite, Mongolian beef. The meat was cut thinner than normal and it was tough, very disappointing, although the flavor was OK. While it wasn't great, I could at least eat some of it (but not much). Management did not charge for Deb's dish, a proper response, and I did not make a point of my dissatisfaction. The PF Changs in Charlotte near South Park is consistently good. However, this one needs an overhaul.

Mediocre food at inflated prices. My soup was inedible and the lunch portions were so small I left the restaurant still hungry. Rice was underdone. I'm glad I had a gift card instead of actually paying for this. I will not be back.

Two stars because so far I haven't gotten food poisoning. Wait time is ridiculous and they had empty tables and people waiting. I'm sure that's to keep a high level of service. Wrong, it was definitely the worst service I could ask for in a place like this. Our waitress was best described as "sir not appearing in this film" because she appeared three times briefly, I had to plead with a food runner that ignored me until I finally got fed up and walked to the wait station and complained. Management is really falling down if they think they hired the right people. There are plenty of other places close by that have a high level of service and better food. I will not return.

My fiance called this PF Chang's to make dinner reservations for four (both our mothers were joining us) for May 23rd. The lady on the phone asked if it was for a special occasion and he said it was going to be our wedding night dinner. She sounded enthusiastic and said she would make a note. We then had hopes something special would be done for us since we chose this restaurant above all others to eat at after our wedding. The service was poor. The waitress didn't even mention it. The restaurant was very busy but we saw that other tables were at least getting checked on by their servers. When our ticket came it even said "special occasion: wedding". Why even bother asking us if our dinner reservation is for a special occasion if you're not even going to do anything differently than you'd normally do for guests? The food was good but I'll always remember this disappointing experience.

Love PF Changs, Just not this on! they take twenty mins for a pick up order that was placed online and to be ready at a certain time. Service isn't bad but the pick up order side is way too much for one person to handle. Not going back !

The service was very good, food was just what we expected, lighting a tad on the dark side. Prices have gotten higher than what is comfortable for Chinese food, even bistro Chinese. A sweet tea was $3 so we drank water. There isn't a real way to save money eating differently so know your in for $15 to $20 a person as vegetarians. A party of 4 and that adds up with tip. Food's okay but not worth the expense very often.

Amazing food and service! My wife and I always get the Chang's for two. All the waitstaff is so nice, they always make sure we have everything we need. The manager has even brought us out a free bowl of garlic noodles once. They were incredable! I would reccomend to make a reservation or you may end up waiting awhile. The one time we had to wait they brought us out some chicken to try. Worth the wait! We love this place!

So expensive for crappy food. Dumplings NOT steamed all the way like rubber. Crunchy under cooked rice. My dish orange chicken blah. Husbands was okay. Dessert was melted...from a freezer watery and nasty. Loud enviroment so many kids like going to Chuckie Cheese. And cost was insane. Local Chinese restruant same food was cheaper and better. Server was nice, place seemed clean but food was horriable Americanized and poorly cooked. Also Biltmore Park weird fake city.

I only go for lunch when I am also going to a movie in this same shopping complex. The parking is usually easy. The staff are friendly. Their lunch special include soup or salad and the entrees are a good portion for lunch. The food is well prepared. I like that when you order comes up in the kitchen someone brings it right out and it is not necessarily your server. That way your food never sits on the line getting cold. This is great. They bring a plate with three souflee cups - one with soy, one hot mustard and one chili sauce and this little spoon which your server will mix for you to your taste.The décor is nice and the bathrooms are nice.

We had our dinner here today and we were not impressed!! I ordered mo po tofu and was really disappointed. I've had better mo po tofu at small Chinese places. I expected more from pf!! My husband had melon and shrimps and he thought it was ok. The kids had honey shrimps and they finished it so it was considered good. I was really looking forward to eating here but alas it was not what I hoped for!! The wait was around an hour and by the time we got to our table we were famished!! The service was quick though and the server was really nice.

The food was delicious and was brought out fast. For a restaurant, the food's not too expensive. This isn't a take out chinese, so don't expect a $5 carryout price. Drinks were a bit on the higher side but the overall experience was good.

P.F. Changs..... Where do I begin? I have been to this location at least two dozen times. The staff is very friendly, the food is always tasty, and the restaurant is really well kept and clean. The only thing is, there is nothing special about this place that sticks out in my mind. However, compared to many other chain restaurants, PF is definitely one of the better options. I have a few recommendations. If you're looking for an appetizer I would opt for the lettuce wraps or the crispy green beans. Both are very tasty and the crispy green beans come with this amazing dipping sauce that is quite addicting. For the main course nothing really sticks out in my mind that I absolutely loved. The double pan fried noodles are pretty great. Before I became a vegetarian I loved the orange chicken and sesame chicken and both of those dishes are great for someone that is trying Asian food for the first time and is attempting to extend their pallet. PF also offers some great desserts. I always go on the smaller side with their dessert shots. I believe that my favorite was the cinnamon bun? However, I haven't had one of those in years! Overall, PF offers very good quality Asian food and it's worth a try if you're in the Asheville area.

Terrible bartenders--both of them! I ate here last night, and we had a 40 minute wait, so I saddled up to the bar. Female bartender took my order, than proceeded to take care of 3 other customers before she made my drink. Another guy walked up to the bar, which at this point, was slow, and both bartenders ignored him, until I guess they felt like acknowledging him. Noone offered me a menu, or another drink, or a glass of water, or a check. Service? Not at the bar. They did enjoy talking to each other though.

I have been very satisfied with previous PF Changs experiences. This one was just average compared to others. Great atmosphere, good food, great service. Just pick the right dish. Specifically, you just can't go wrong with the Mongolian Beef. It's a real treat, with just the right blend of spices and sweetness that is just irresistable.

if you want to go decor seeing inside an overpriced restaurant, fine. Go here and look about, but the 4 people in our party agreed we would not return. Nice waiter, but got our orders wrong -every one of ours...and the food was simply blah. In their defense, however, my husby and I are verrrry particular about asian cuisine of any kind and their taste is sub-par and their prices make their food seem even less worthwhile than Panda Express, which I don't mind eating when running through an airport, btw....

Stay Away! I did not have reservations at this PF Chang's and in a party of two. I was told the wait would be less than 15 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes and many parties being seated who came in after me, I questioned the hostess when I was going to be seated. She responded I was next on the list (how convenient), however, the table was in the bar and she didn't know how long it would take for it to be cleaned. I immediately left. Obviously, I won't be back to this PF Chang's based on this poor service (or lack thereof) in getting seated.

Expensive. The food though is from a chain so what do I expect? It is geared towards an American taste, but this also means less grease. I at least feel healthier eating this option. Read the book Fortune Cookie Chronicles and you'll find that the decor the restaurant has of horses and warriors are actually symbols of death or something. In any case, the cleanliness of the restaurant and its decor is fitting in Biltmore Park.

At first I sweated the Chang's. Don't get me wrong- the food is great. Decor is somethin' to talk about. But then I started to experience and/or notice several negatives over the last few years. First off, they do not cook the veggies for long enough. They are always practically raw in the dishes that I order, and I did have one bad incident in which a bean sprout was hibernating in my throat for a couple hours due to this problem. I thought that I was crazy until I recently heard Gordon Ramsay tell a contestant in a Chinese food cooking contest that he was not cooking his veggies long enough. Hallelujah! Changers: Please cook the veggies longer for heathens like me who desire life. And yes, the meals are expensive. Pray that nobody asks for dessert. I know that Chang's has a bangin' fast food counterpart, Pei Wei, so hopefully Asheville will be blessed with its presence in the future. Onwards: the hostesses always seem miffed if you ask to be seated in a certain spot that is conducive to life with small and medium children. I see people dining outside all the time, sometimes just one party, and someone had to put them there, so what gives? If they can be picky, so can I. Dress is supposed to be casual, but I always feel like a hobo upon entering the dining area. I always feel like announcing that I once wore Christian Dior bras and panties, darn it, I did! Parking is terrible. If you have to cross a street after you park, good luck. Drivers are impatient in that area, and to me, the experience at Chang's is not worth your life. Dear Husband: Forgive my opposing mind. Update on 5/6/13: Well, I was forced to go recently, and I must say, I feel better now after seeing fellow hoboes there. Veggies were still practically raw, our server was lively and fantastic, and the desserts are even improved to a level of lusciousness that is indescribable. Adding one star.

The service was impeccable. Our server was creative, attentive, and knowledgeable. The music was awful. Silence would have been much preferred. The food was quite disappointing. Our first order of egg rolls were cold. The second order was hot but the interior was mushy and tasteless. The vegetarian dumplings were not much better. They were doughy and the filling again was tasteless. The Ma Po Tofu was quite good. The tofu texture was excellent and the sauce was delicious. It was the only high point in an otherwise disappointing meal. I thought the asparagus dish tasted quite good although again it was cold. In total, I don't think we will be coming back.

I probably wouldn't have given 5 stars had not some of the other reviews here dropped the overall rating of this PF Changs down so far. I feel this place deserves a lot more than a 3 star overall rating. We came in on Christmas Eve, a busy night to be anywhere really but we were still seated promptly in a crowded restaurant. The service was beyond courteous, the waitress took the time to mix up her special blend of dipping sauce at the table before bringing us a delicious seared Ahi tuna appetizer. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, the Orange Beef and the Beef Fried Rice and when the food came, we were thrilled to find that the kitchen had sent us out a vegetable dish, stir-fried with pieces of tofu, at not only no charge, but just because they wanted to. It was as delicious as the rest of the food, completely flavourful with just the right amount of spice at the back. The wontons we also ordered as a side were crispy and went perfectly with the dipping sauce our friendly waitress had mixed up for us. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the delicious house Iced Tea as well - all you Southerners, take a break from "Sweet Tea" and give it a shot ;) The atmosphere was intimate even with so many people around us and we had a brilliant time. I definitely recommend this place to anyone, PF Changs is a trusted name for a reason.

I've been twice now and it is good but something deep in my core refuses to accept that it's okay to pay 50 bucks for two people to eat Chinese food. Call me cheap, I'm okay with it.

The atmosphere was great and neatly decorated. But I did not have a great experience with the food here. I might have just been me, but it was not what i am used to when it comes to chinese food. There was not a great menu selection and the food I order was just ok. I will give it a second try and if I have a different experience, I will recant this post. But as of now, I am not recommending this food.

It seems like a fun, inviting place to eat - until you see their prices. Who wants to pay almost $20 for a chinese meal? I didn't, so I opted for a $10 meal that left me still hungry. Who really wants to support restaurants in a sterile place like Biltmore Park anyways? This ain't what Asheville is supposed to be. Stay away.

Okay, I've always been a fan of Chang's having dined in both New Orleans, and Charlotte. It's a chain but don't let that scare you away. I'm not a big chain fan. So I went to the grand opening on 5 December 2008 and though it was super crowded, only had a 35 minute wait. It's unbelievable how the place could be so packed pre-advertising but Chang's has a loyal following . Good thing they were properly staffed with plenty of hostesses and servers so things went very smoothly. Now to the good part, the food. You have to try Chang's Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps as they are excellent. You can ask them to keep them vegan if you like which was very accommodating. I ordered the Stir-Fry Eggplant vegan and it was excellent. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointing surprise is the dinky bowl of brown rice it was served with. Had to ask for a second bowl which they quickly brought out. You'd figure with the price of rice you wouldn't get a mini-portion. Have had just about most of the menu during my pre-vegan days and everything was superb. If you've never been then go. Can't imagine why you wouldn't like it unless there's a long wait.

I like the idea of PF Chang's China Bistro. I however, am left wanting whenever I go there. The Lettuce wrap is good. Salty but good. The other offerings all seem to be lacking commitment. I find that the food is overly salted. I don't have an exact complaint. The service is always fast and friendly, it is just not a memorable culinary experience?

I am a fan. It never disappoints. Plenty of food for the price. I am a fan of the brown rice, over the white. The dishes are good. I don't think you can go wrong with any. Gluten free menu, and plenty of vegetarian options. This is a very clean restaurant. It can get busy during the normal lunch and dinner hours. I usually go with the "sweet and sour" chicken dish. The dish has just a little touch of spice to it, but not enough to scare away the masses of people that don't like spicy dishes.

This was a typical representation of a PF Chang's. The waiter was friendly and kept waters filled and our food was brought quickly. Me and mom both had lunch specials. Smaller portions of dinner meals served with your choice of egg drop or wonton soup, or a salad. I chose Mongolian Beef and egg drop. They were fine. The egg drop soup was smoking hot, while the chicken lettuce wraps we had ordered as an appetizer and Mongolian Beef were almost room temperature. Mom had the beef lo mein and she said it was fine. It was a solid A-OK. Nothing special or spectacular, but nothing horrid.
