This is an odd place, to say the least. I was drawn to it after seeing a hot pink makeshift sign sitting atop a car in the parking lot. Someone selling tacos out of their Chevy Nova? Color me curious and pass the picante... I drove by a few more times during my daily commute before finally stepping inside to try out the $1 tacos as advertised. The gentleman working the counter was pleasant and took my to go order. I perused the offerings in the small grocery store that this is located within. Should you have a need, they also do computer and TV repair and also can fix that noisy muffler while you wait for your lunch. I kid you not but rest easy, your food is cooked on a grill and not a greasy manifold. There are booths should you choose to eat in. This is not the Ritz as you can see from the picture but pleasant enough for a lunch and had a good sanitary rating. The taco offerings are the usual as can be expected in the more traditional Mexican places, al pastor, tripe, tongue, cabeza, chicken, beef, carnitas etc, served in a soft corn tortilla. I settled on chicken, al pastor, and beef. The steak was a bit chewy, chicken was a tad overcooked buit the al pastor was delicious. The tacos were quite small but all in all not a bad deal for $1 apiece. There were some other familiar offerings on the paper menu which I will certainly look into in the very near future as I do plan to be back and upgrade my review. I have a bit of a soft spot for such places as this. There is no phone number to call ahead unfortunately but will see if I can get one as this is a new business and listing on Yelp. As such, the wait for my to go order was a little long but the food was cooked fresh.
