Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Applebee's
Ok review time. Restaurant environment: the staff spend most of there time socializing. When I have come in, the staff spend most of their time on cell phones or talking in groups by the stations. Some servers are nice but a majority of them seem to be passing time until there can get off work. Most walk around with smiles and seem to be bothered if you need something. Service: Mediocre. Bartenders are friendly but not the waitstaff. Food: average at best, some dishes are decent but not everything. With a competition in the area and Applebee's having a diverse menu this place needs more of a management refit. Professionalize the staff and you will be better there. Only come here if everywhere else is too busy.

Servers were good, food not so much. I ordered their garlic sirloin and got a steak that must have been left over from the previous day as it had sat in the marinade waaaaaaay too long. I refused it and the cook came out and explained why it was perfectly fine. I was sitting with a CIA trained chef of 30 years who told the cook what was wrong with the steak and why and he gave us an attitude. We refused it and the cooked another one that was delivered by the manager. This time cooked properly but drenched in so much garlic that it wiped out my palate for the rest of the day. The positive thing is neither steak was on the bill but still not worth stopping in to eat. Far too many restaurants to choose from inI the area to bother eating here. Too bad I normally like their food and service.

The food is inconsistently prepared and EXTREMELY caloric and fat-laden. Atmosphere and location are less than desirable. Serving staff a little too comfortable and inattentive when the restaurant is slow.

This is probably the worst Applebees I've been to! The inside is dirty and old, doesn't look like they even try to attempt to make it look decent. The service is terrible and wait times for food are long; We didn't eat here for awhile but then tried it again last week and did the car-side to go due to me being sick w/pneumonia and wanting takeout; We got there parked in the designated car-side area waited 15minutes no one came out; I called the restaurant and even told them I was out there. 10 more minutes no one came out. So I get out and walk inside to the bar, servers are walking past me just staring. When the girl at the bar finally comes over to me she said "yea you the one with the to go order here" and hands me the bill; I politely told her that I had been waiting outside for awhile and her response was "oh well we don't have a lot of staff here today" The place had a total of 2 tables filled! They were not busy at all. She continued to be extremely rude and act as if I was interrupting her social hour with her "man friend" at the bar. Needless to say the order was incorrect and cold upon receiving it and I will not be going back to this location.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.
