All freshly baked breads, muffins and scones. An excellent place to meet for coffee, pastries and paninis. A local favorite!

Really enjoyed this place. Small town feel and great food. Really enjoyed the Farmer's Market Grilled Cheese sandwich, especially the side veggie-kabob. The gals working the counter knew presentation just as well as taste. Very kind, helpful and cute. It also seemed like everything in the store was made in house, from the bread to the cheesecake. Great quality :)

If you like a friendly face serving up sandwiches piled high with local organic produce, fresh baked bread, award winning berry coffee cake, and hand pulled espresso drinks - look no further. Shop the artisan craft store while you wait for your breakfast to be made, then kick back and enjoy. Makes you wish you were a local.

This little bistro shares space with a nice little goods store. comfortable and quiet. I tried the breakfast sandwich, and a milk....all I needed this morning. But while they have a small menu, it fit the establishment. There were a couple locals there enjoying breakfast and chatting.....what does that tell you? This was a very respectful and warm establishment.

Best place in Plains to stop for some coffee or tea and a pastry. Kathy makes several cheesecakes, and each month has a signature flavor (for March this year it was Key Lime Pie). You can purchase your coffee by the hour, and it's a good place to grab a table, have some coffee and read the paper, a good book, chat with friends. When the weather permits, you can even have your coffee outside on the mini-patio that connects Dog Hill with McGowan's grocery. Dog Hill really is my favorite place in Plains, which I guess explains why I'm a regular there. ;-)

This place is wonderful! Homemade organic pastries, delicious local coffee, free WiFi, books(both new and used), gifts, clothing and more. The coffee costs $1.50 an hour! Cathy, who owns and runs this place is a delight. I'm Visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area where we have cafes galore and this is as good as anything we have. Great atmosphere, food, merchandise, and friendly folk..I look forward to spending more time here on my next visit.
