I have had a couple of great meals here. Restaurant is beautiful and the wine selection is awesome. Very good service, great place to sit at the bar, read and have some good wine. Both my husband and I really enjoy Scotty's and go every time we are in Missoula.

You are only kidding yourself if you think the prices on the menu reflect the quality of the food here. $27 for mediocre spaghetti and meatballs?. Why would you go to this restaurant when there are so many better options with better prices for the same quality of food? Or spend the money elsewhere and eat higher quality meals.

Just do not know what the quality will be from time to time.

Wow! This is a great place in a sleepy college town. Say what you want, but Missoula is far from the city or any culture at all. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. They say you are only as good as your help, well Kristie made the experience for us. Granted, it was a Monday night and the restaurant was slow, but she was very accommodating. There were three of us. We shared the Meeza appetizer. We fought over the last bites. We all had the lentil salad, YUM! The three entrees were the lamb, the rib eye and the pappardelle with beef ragu. We all tasted each others and we all loved each of them. Only beer and wine (not a full bar) but great selections. In Missoula? Worth the trip. Enjoy!

Boy I had a hard time with this review. I bounced between 3 and 2 stars a lot. Pros: Cool atmosphere. Though the restaurant was packed, our table was ready on time. The sea scallop appetizer was _awesome_. Granted, you only get two scallops, but they were decent in size and cooked to perfection. They came with a potato pancake with a creamy sauce striped on it, and then a sweet potato pancake that had a mustard sauce striped across it. Definitely the highlight of the dinner. Located right below the Wilma (go check out the theater, it was pretty cool) and in downtown Cons: We walked in and had 3 different servers just walk on by us w/out a greeting or a "one moment and someone will be with you". Eventually a server came from across the restaurant and commented that she saw us be ignored by 3 other servers, and that she would seat us herself in just a moment. I felt it was a bit overpriced. I had the bison skirt steak which came way overcooked and dry as heck, the garlic mashers were decent. My dad had the halibut which was at the low end of good. The mushroom risotto below the halibut was great though. Wine by the glass selection was seriously lacking. I had a very weak syrah, when i asked for their boldest red she came back with a malbec that left much to be desired. My dad is a beer man so a bottle was out of the question for me. So I would say this wasn't a 2, but my experience wasn't a 3 either. I gave it a 3 as a benefit of the doubt that we just had an extraordinarily sour experience that likely isn't typical of this restaurant.

This place is very good! I love the atmosphere and all the wonderful fresh flavors!! A must for lunch if you're in Missoula!:)

We were in Missoula for a night and had an excellent meal. The beet appetizer, the garden salad, the Saba noodle salad, and the mussels were all home runs. I can't say there is a better moules frites dish in my home city of San Francisco which either says something about Scotty's Table or about San Francisco. Excellent service, a nice location, and a very reasonable price.

Service here is kinda meh, but the food is excellent.

Keep this on your list of what not to miss when in Missoula. The cuisine is superb, original and local. The wine list is broad and of high quality if not great depth. Unfortunately, have never had room for dessert

I really do like Scotty's Table. It is a great atmosphere and the food is almost always delicious. The lunch menu is one of the better lunch menus in town and the prices are excellent. I think this is the only place in Missoula that serves cioppino and I enjoyed it both times I've ordered it.

Maybe I should have saved this place for dinner instead of coming for lunch. Try coming for dinner. The lunch menu was just ok. I had some sort of penne pasta, which was totally different from what I'm used to. It was good, though.

So, this place was recommended by some friends of mine and I feel bad doing this, but I wasn't really impressed. The thing is, if you're gonna charge Seattle/Portland prices then it needs to be as good, if not better than what we eat in Seattle and Portland. It was not. Three of us shared an appetizer, all had mediocre salads and entrees, really nothing great, nothing I can't whip up at home. The lights were out in half of the room, not sure why? The place is beautiful, has TONS of potential... but it was just kinda... there. Know what I mean?

While recently wandering through Missoula some friends and I decided on Scotty's simply because we were starving and it wasn't fast food. The food was amazing, the best I had in weeks, I ordered a sandwich and it came with one of the best salads I have had in my entire life. Serivce was amazing and since we were there for lunch it was not even that much! Also they have paper tableclothes and they give you a little container of colored pencils so you can express you artistic side will you wait. Coloring and good food, I will certainly be back!

Magically I was just in Missoula from SF. Surprise. On Thursday the lunch special was the goat cheese tagliatelle w/ wild mushrooms. Now, I only was able to snag a few bites from my grammy and mom, however what I had was amazing. The tomato soup was also on point. Not to be a food snob and all, yet coming from SF I have not always had the best culinary experiences in Missoula, as 4B's use to be as swanky as it gets. Yet Scotty's my hats off to you. The turkey club was also Delicious and now I KNOW THAT THERE IS GOOD FOOD TO BE HAD IN MT!!!

Scotty's is really really good. Among the finest eateries in Missoula, the service is impeccable, and the offerings sublime. I had some outstanding Cassolet, and also tried the special Talapia and very, very good pork chops. Out for a nice night on the town? This place can't be beat! The Bruschetta, topped...no, I should say infused, with a variety of olive oils is particularily good. I believe this American Bistro... is a phenomenon.

Scotty's Table is my most favorite restaurant in all of Montana. Their selection always centers on the freshest, most delectable foods. I have had several different dishes but loved their Cioppino and their Rib eye. Their scallop appetizer with beet hashbrowns is to die for. If you are looking for a intimate restaurant with a city feel then this is the place for you! They also have an outstanding wine selection and give you colored pencils to draw on the tablecloth!

I am a foodie.. There, I said it! And this place made my little foodie heart happy! I had the NY strip with the kale (OMG) and the fried risotto, (So, SO very good!) and two glasses of a luxurious French Bordeaux. Yes, it was spendy, but the food and the wonderful atmosphere was worth it! And my server was a doll! Right there when my steak was delivered, perfectly cooked medium rare, and right there when I asked for a second glass of wine. Cheerful, prompt and cute as a bug! Anyone who says the steak was chewy asked them to overlook it. Simply melt in your mouth delicious! You gotta try this place!!

  • Jeffrey R.

Great atmosphere, fantastic waitress, excellent menu. My only 2 comments on my main dinner (Meat duo) was that the short ribs were a tad dry and the sautéed kale needed messaging prior to cooking. This process would "soften" the leaves. Try it chef.

What a great spot! Loved the patio very European feeling...right on the park so there was some music and other things going on. We ordered a beautiful white wine (La Spinetta Tuscan Vermentino) and ordered a Mediterranean plate which was absolutely amazing. (It's listed as an entree but seriously suited for a starter) The Mediterranean plate was hummus, olive tapenade, tzatziki sauce, some sort of arugula red onion salad, pita bread and other accompaniments. Our entrees were just as pleasing. We had the roasted chicken sandwich...my favorite. The turkey club...which was awesome too. Oh and when I say sandwich it isn't a deli type these are gourmet! The last dish was a seasonal pasta which was a vegetarian bow tie type with a poblano sauce...it was fantastic. You could tell by the beets on the salad that the Chef focuses on using local fresh ingredients as the waitress had said. While the food is amazing...I did have to go in and ask if someone was going to come in and serve our table. In the end though she ended up being a good server and I wouldn't hold that against them. A must go if you love food, good wine and great atmosphere!

First, I want to say this place is wonderful. Great service, amazing food, and beautiful ambience. However, I've rated it at 2 stars for a pretty specific issue that truly offended my entire party. I (female) ordered a bottle of wine for the table. The server brought it out, opened it, and handed it very deliberately to the one male at the table to taste before pouring for everyone. He laughed and said he wasn't having any wine and gestured to me as the person who should be the taster since I ordered it. The server, (who, btw, was wonderful and attentive) said "I know, I'm so sorry, I was trained specifically to hand the wine to the man at the table to taste, regardless of who orders it." Ummmm... Cue awkward pause. Now, we have all ordered wine at nice restaurants around the country, and this was the first display of overt sexism anyone in the party had ever seen. A woman can order, taste, and even pay (gasp) for a bottle of wine without intervention or instruction from a man. Holy cow what year are these people living in? This definitely was an odd and offensive distraction from an otherwise perfect dinner, but I think it's really important to point out. This is a great restaurant... Imagine how much better it would be by treating it's female guests with the same respect as the men.

This place was recommended to us when we mentioned we would be driving through Missoula. It wasn't super easy to find but as soon as I asked a local she pointed us in the right direction. Patio seating was pleasant. French bread and salted herb butter was sensational. We started with the fried brussel sprouts, yep they were amazing. Plus that plate had so many good sauces on it that we kept it the entire meal and kept dipping things into it. I ordered the salmon linguine special. Stellar. And he ordered the burger medium with an egg. Excellent. I got up from the table and literally blurted out "so that is what food is supposed to taste like". We left doting on the food, our stuffed bellies, and the kind waitresses.

I really enjoy this place. It's a little more expensive but it is worth it. The patio on the back is super cute & charming. The service has always been good. The inside is decorated beautifully. You just don't find places like this. The food has Always been exceptional. They do have some odd things on the menu but they have never let me down.

The atmosphere is so darling. Their menu is inventive and unique with healthy options. They have gluten free pasta and bread available. Their tuna melt was amazing. Definitely a great spot to try out!

Came here with a large group of foodie friends with high expectations... and it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Took over 35 minutes to get a drink and close to 2 hours for our main course. When we asked the server if they were short handed she responded "not at all" and looked surprised, she was rough around the edges from the get go and her service only got worse. My husbands braised chicken tasted like it was boiled all day and had no seasoning... easy dish to screw up... and they didn't even take it off our bill when we expressed our dissatisfaction. Many other plates at the table were subpar or just average for the price. The bolognese had no sauce and the lamb was not a favorite. While the location is great, I will not be recommending Scotty's and hope they make changes in the future.

We had a very nice dinner here recently to celebrate a friend's birthday. The patio seating is lovely, and it was great for enjoying the beautiful weather on a comfortable Sept. evening. The menu offers an eclectic mix of modern American dishes. For starters, we had a scallop dish, a lentil salad, and arancini (fried risotto balls). For entrees, I got the cioppino (seafood stew), which was excellent, and my companions got the pasta bolognese and the vegetable polenta. Everything was very good, although my friend who got the bolognese noted that, while the meat and sauce were very good and warm, the pasta underneath was cold in the center as if it had been sitting for a while and wasn't properly warmed up for serving. For a top notch restaurant with prices that are not inexpensive, that sort of thing shouldn't happen. Overall, though, it was a good meal. The wine list was notable in that it included a number of nice, reasonably-priced options in the $30-$40 range. Also, our server was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and professional. I wish I remembered her name to give her proper credit. They also gave us some very nice chocolate truffles, gratis, at the end of the meal (with a birthday candle to acknowledge the special occasion).

I really like Scotty's Table...there is something for everyone and the dishes are well worth what you pay for. I have not been to dinner there for some time, but I have been there recently for brunch and lunch. First and foremost, the dishes were delicious, inventive, and well-prepared. The chefs use high-quality and local ingredients that make gorgeous plates. I like the location of the restaurant and it has a nice outside patio; the only drawback is during the week, a lot of trucks park right next to patio when delivering product, blocking the view of the park and creating an unpleasant smell of fuel. While the servers are nice, they are kind of slow so if you are coming in for lunch on a weekday, don't expect to be served quickly. The food is great and I highly recommend this Missoula eatery.

Scotty's Table is a solid place to dine in Missoula. I will say I went in for dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was not busy at all, which is fine, but the service was pretty slow at the wrong times. For example, if I have to wait over 15 minutes to put in a drink order...I get a little anxious:) But this is pretty typical missoula waitstaff service from my memory. My dad ordered the New York strip steak medium and it looked cooked all the way through unfortunately. I guess you really just have to order it rare no matter what and hope for the best. My vegetable polenta was delish and my Moms halibut was perfectly prepared. Overall, Scotty's is doing a lot of things right and I enjoy dining there when I am in town.

Really good fresh local food. I had lamb and it was superb. My friend had spaghetti Bolagnese and loved it. Wonderful bread. Good service, nice ambience. I would go back

This place has some great food and unique dishes. I really like that their meat and ingredients are locally sourced. I loved the butter that was served with the bread. It was salty and fresh, which went perfectly with the baguette. For an appetizer we had the Lamb Meatballs with fried cauliflower. They were good and I really liked the sauce that accompanied them. For entrees I had the Cassoulet and my husband had the Coq au Vin. Both were excellent. My duck confit was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and succulent meat. I could have eaten a whole plate of that alone. My husband chicken was flavorful, tender, and very juicy. His potato mash was very yummy and buttery. We loved our dinner and would definitely return. The atmosphere was perfect and service was great.

So was here on business and our business partners recommended this place for lunch. We came from the street just before it hits the bridge. Walk down the creepy stairs and boom, restaurant. The menu isn't too shabby. Most of the items there, if not everything was all organic. I ordered the chicken sandwich with salad. This came as a recommendation and it tasted pretty good. If I ever came back to this place I would eat it again. My salad came with some beets. I never had it before so I tried it. Hey not to bad! Things couldn't go any better. Came in to town, got an upgrade to a suite at the Double Tree, got to hang out with the boss, free mileage for my plane ticket, what else could this trip add? Oh look Joe Montana was sitting 4-5 feet from where we were eating. Me being a big 49ers fan I was like a school girl at a Justin Bieber concert. But I was professional, he was having lunch with his wife and kid. It be rude to ask for an autograph, right? Anyways back to the restaurant. Love the decore inside. It looks very vintage, classy and hip at the same time. Shame I was here for one day, I would like to see what this place would be like during the evenings.

This is one of the restaurants that I recommend to visitors for the following reasons: * absolutely delicious * diverse menu- something for vegans to carnivores * creative yet international * healthy (arugula salad!) to fatty (mussels and fries!) * absolutely delicious * excellent service * unique, beautiful atmosphere (shimmering busts!) * there is a swimming pool buried under the floor * kid friendly * beautiful outdoor dining when weather permits * absolutely delicious If you want Applebee's or a buffet, this is not the place for you. If you want a delicious dining EXPERIENCE, you CANNOT go wrong. I highly recommend.

For some reason, Scotty's just hasn't been the same since moving from their cozy little spot on Higgins. The food is locally sourced, service is pleasant, and the restaurant's locale (in the basement of the historic Wilma Theater) certainly is chic...but it's definitely just "ok" to me now. I was there a few months ago and, perhaps unfortunately for Scotty's, came the day after our previous wünder meal at the 'Bird. Hubs and I were in the mood for charcuterie to start the meal, and found all but the duck liver pâté to be a bit lackluster. We each had our own salad, and then shared the beef ragu pasta for our main. The portion of actual ragu was quite small, but the flavors were there. The size of the split main was sensible enough that we opted for some dessert, too. We had a couple of the small cookies (kudos to our wait person for negotiating that), but ended up being disappointed in the end because they were stale. Scotty's used to be our Date Night spot, every Friday. But now I can't say that I'll rush to return until I hear they've got their groove back.

We love this place. Wonderful food. Appetizers are PLENTY for sharing. Get the mussels and fries and don't neglect the broth or you'll miss the best part! Roasted Brussels sprouts are also fab. I love beets and had the appetizer as my entrée, then shared my husband's beef Duo. OMG. Short ribs were delectable. Lovely server.

This was my first time at Scotty's Table and this is my first Yelp review. The experience at Scotty's Table was disappointing enough to motivate me to write a review. I have lived in Missoula for a year and a half and everyone spoke highly of this restaurant. We decided to make reservations for Valentines Day. Here is what we ordered: a Napa Cabernet (Napa cab are always good). The ahi tuna appetizer ( the quality of the fish was outstanding yet it was an unseasoned slab of rare tuna), the spinach salad -(good yet it seemed to have no dressing), the lamb (delicious and so tender it could be cut with a fork) , and the beef duo entree (the short rib was dry and unseasoned, the steak was tender and good, the Asiago mashed potatoes were very good and the sautéed green were completely unseasoned and bitter. The meal came to $118 without the tip and seemed very overpriced given the inconsistent quality and flavor. To their credit, the wait staff was friendly and attentive.

My parents, who both lived in Missoula, were big fans of Scotty's Table and had been going for years. I've gone with them a few times and only had fantastic experiences. The food is, as far as I can tell, all amazing and uses high quality ingredients. When my mom died over a week ago, Scotty donated an entire nine-dish meal to my family to eat at the hospital while we had a little family-only memorial for her. He took me aside and told me how much he liked them, a few funny/cute stories about talking to them at the restaurant, and was truly genuine and kind. Honestly, you can't go wrong with a restaurant run by amazing people that serves brilliant food. Go there, eat there, savor the goodness. Thanks for everything, Scotty!

The short. Very good people, on a mission to make it local. The long. The staff was exceptional. The atmosphere is a simplistic modern vibe gone wrong. They serve very blah simplistic natural food. The serving sizes are very small and simple. The price leaves one expecting more to be desired given the above.

An unexpected gem. We were driving from Seattle to Big Sky and stayed overnight in Missoula. The front desk clerk recommended Scotty's. We weren't sure what to expect but we were very impressed by the inventiveness of the menu, flavor, and service. The waitress was very nice even though we had two cranky kids in tow. Overall I highly recommend.

Wow who woulda thunk a basement space below an old theater turned into a great restaurant. I will keep it simple-best food I have had on this trip and the best ribeye ever. If you are here, go!

Could easily be a 5-star, but is at least a solid 4. Scotty is the chef, so you can bet that with his name on the place he is putting his personal reputation on the line every meal. And many times they will be "out" of menu items...another good sign of good food. We regularly go to Scotty's, esp for lunch in the summer. Nice salads and super wonderful bread, some crisp white wine and maybe sitting outside watching the river and you have an experience, and a good one. Have not had a bad meal or experience, other than to wait a bit for lunches on weekends. It is a little pricey, but you get your monies worth in quality. If you consider ordering spaghetti and meatballs or some such pedestrian meal at a price tab of $27 dollars of so I can offer you ownership of a number of bridges. There are a lot of other fine establishments that will cook you oodles of noodles for far less moola. Celebrate at Scotty's. Enjoy.

I've had so-so and excellent dinners here. And I've had amazing lunches! Scotty's dinners have been in my budget less and less, so I can't speak to what their dinners are like these days. However, I've had lunch here twice in the last few months and think it's the best in Missoula. I probably wouldn't come here for a quick lunch, though -- not because the service isn't fast, but because it's the sort of meal you should be able to slow down and enjoy. You should get a cup of soup or an appetizer. Have a glass of wine. Finish with dessert. It's that sort of place. This past weekend I enjoyed a cup of butternut squash soup, a beans and greens salad (roasted kale, chickpea mousse, avocado, hazelnuts, and quinoa -- doesn't sound like much, but it was ambrosial. Best salad ever.), and shared a pot of creme brûlée. Really fantastic creme brûlée. My one nitpicky thing is that the bread you're served is from a bakery down the street that can be purchased in every grocery store in Missoula. It would be nice to enjoy something baked in house or baked exclusively for the restaurant.

Positives: -Scotty's Table is so classy, I felt like I was on the set of Sex and the City eating there. -The atmosphere was very calm, and it was a great place to decompress from a crazy weekend. -I had the the Lemon Cheesecake, and it was DELICIOUS! It was just the right serving size, smooth, and definitely homemade, which I think is the best part. Yum...I want some more just thinking about it! -Service was excellent. I was part of a party of 9, and our waitress was super accommodating, despite our confusing orders. Her service was exceptional and it made our dessert experience that much better. Woo! Negatives: -We made a reservation around noon that day for 9 pm on a Saturday night. When we arrived, the hostess was a bit trite and they were definitely not ready for us. The restaurant was not crowded, so I thought it was strange they weren't ready. Usually this type of thing doesn't bother me at all, but it was just unexpected. -The desserts are a bit overpriced. Yes, they are of great quality, but they are pricey considering what you get. Scotty's Table is a worth a visit if you're interested in dining at a fancy-schmancy place, but I think there are plenty of awesome places in Missoula that are cheaper and just as delicious, even if they don't have the Sex and the City vibe. :)

This review is based on their lunch, which I've had 2-3 times. The room is in the old Wilma theatre building, a big space which high ceilings which allows for good table spacing and ambience. Everything I've had was very good, e.g. burger, tuna melt, club sandwich. Service has been friendly and efficient. A few local beers on tap and an extensive wine list. Prices are the same as the local sports bars/pubs but the food is a bit better and the location a lot nicer. I look forward to trying dinner.

As a recent Seattle transplant, I've had my eye on Scotty's Table for a while. Perusing the menu is exciting-- local food, beautifully prepared. What's not to love? Plus the location is great-- underneath the Wilma . . . a garden-y outdoor patio with inviting shade . . . So I walked in on a Friday night eager for a glass of champagne and the trio of beet appetizer. Despite the restaurant being half-empty on a Friday night (even that gorgeous outdoor eating area wasn't packed, to my surprise), it took me so long to get seated I just left. The hostess walked by me several times before she even acknowledged I was there. Then she said, "I'll be right with you" and proceeded to walk past me several times again. The next time she acknowledged me it was to say, "I need to get a table ready for the couple ahead of you"-- even though there were tons of tables empty and set for dinner. I'm childish and petty-- I left. Poor form, Scotty's. I'll be back, because I do think the menu looks tempting, and I will hope for FAR better service-- and thus a far better review.

One of the most gorgeous outdoor seating areas I've ever experienced, and the inside is quite pretty as well. The bruschetta appetizer was nothing to write home about, but everyone in our group who had them loved their grass-fed steaks (with surprising Middle Eastern accompaniments) as well as the homemade pasta dishes. I only wish they had a full bar, as a cocktail before dinner would have put the evening over the top. Leslie, our server, was friendly, helpful, accommodating (our party included two babies) and professional, as was the hostess. We'll definitely be back next time we come to Missoula.

Amazing food. I've eaten here with friends as well as on a dates with my husband numerous times. Great atmosphere, upscale and modern but also hip and fun. I like the option to sit at the bar or at the more casual tables near the front if we are catching a movie upstairs afterwards. I think this is on the the best places for lunch in Missoula.

Stopped in here to meet some friends when I first arrived in Missoula so I did not know when to expect. The service was attentive and friendly. As some other Yelpers have noted the place was quiet even for a weekend lunch, but the food was pretty good. I ordered the burger which was pretty tasty and the french fries were the envy of the table. My friends all enjoyed the quesadillas and club sandwiches. The location is a bit awkward underneath the Wilma, but on a weekend it looks to be a nice place for a quiet lunch because of its location near the river. You might even get entertained by a guitar player that looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter like we did.

Other than seeing the people I love, going here is the one of the things I most look forward to when I come back to Missoula, my hometown. I've never had a bad meal here. I'm hard-pressed to think of any restaurant I like better in Northern California, one of the culinary capitals of America, and I'm not exaggerating. I can't think of anything else to say except you really ought to treat yourself to this place when you're in Missoula. Great food, impeccable service, great view of Riverfront Park. Oh, and a little personal trivia: when you're there, look up at the balcony area in the restaurant. 25 years ago, when I was going to the UM, that space was my apartment. Weirdest and coolest apartment I ever lived in.

My GF and I really enjoyed Scotty's Table. The atmosphere, service and food were all very enjoyable. We started with the Scallops and were very surprised with how amazing they were. Entree for me was the Pork Tenderloin. It was perfectly flavored and very lean. The GF had the Cioppino and it was the best that she has ever had. Might note that we have had this dish at many fine places and i have to agree that is was among the best seafood dishes ive had as well. I am in MT quite often, and this will be a staple dining stop for sure.

This is a wonderful find in the basement of the Wilma. We ordered the Mezza appetizer, and lamb forth main course. They are a sustainable restaurant so all ingredients are locally obtained. Can't go wrong choice for decent eats.

Great food, and great service. However, this restaurant is far overpriced for the town. If you don't mind paying a little extra for dinner, you'll enjoy your experience at this restaurant.

This was our first trip to Missoula so I have no real benchmark to compare this restaurant to other eating establishments in Missoula. With that being said we were told that the Scotty's Table is supposed to be one of the better/high end restaurants in Missoula. Fair enough, so why in blazes did the server come and sit down with us to take our order? Talk about extremely unprofessional, both my wife and I were taken aback, but she did this with her other tables also. This practice should be stopped immediately if they desire to not offend customers. The next problem was that I asked if they had a full bar, which they do not, no problem. So I asked "what beers do you have that are lighter in flavor?" This innocuous question caused the server to roll her eyes and exclaim to me that I should know which beer I like to drink and just order it. Unfortunately these two incidents set the tone for our dinner and we haven't even ordered yet. The appetizer was good, but nothing fantastic; the salad was probably the highlight of the meal being very good and the entrees were again good, but nothing that really stood out. And dessert was mediocre at best. However when paying this amount of money for a meal the food should not simply be good, it should be very good to excellent, and service should also be that way. BOTTOM LINE: Food was okay service was poor, value was not there.

I definitely expected better. Two friends and I went to lunch. I have to admit that we did talk business for a few moments, but mostly we hoped to have a great lunch together. I ordered Seafood Chowder and a Spinach Salad. My soup came without a soup spoon, and my bread came without butter. The three of us had quite a time getting anyone's attention about it. So, one of my friends went up and asked for them. When the hostess finally brought them, her attitude was not at all gracious. It was more like a Mom being exasperated at the 5th time that a child has asked for a drink of water in the middle of the night. The spinach salad was huge. I shared half of it with one of my friends whose lunch was less than generous. The Seafood Chowder should have been called Ham Chowder. I did finally find a part of a clam in one of the last bites. It was tasty, but not what I expected. I mentioned it to the server, but was told that, "Well, there is bacon in it." Every restaurant can have bad moments, but this is the second time I was disappointed at Scotty's Table. Next time, I will suggest Finn & Porter or The Pearl.

My favorite nice restaurant in town. Love the food and it's a great place to take visitors with more sensitive palates. Dinner is a little pricey, to my budget, but the lunch menu is awesome for great quality food at prices comparable to those awful chains popping up on North Reserve.
