We had lunch here. If you like soups, sandwiches, and salad then you'll love it. Lots of choices. I had half a Reuben sandwich with a cup of creamy chicken and wild rice with almonds. Delicious. My husband had a Philly Cheesesteak and he loved it. Homemade dressing on the salad. If only they had wifi I would probably come more often.

This restaurant was built from an old railroad building and is bright, cheery, and spans the gamet from totally informal to just under formal. It is a great place for family eating. Their prices are reasonable and the food is well prepared and presented. The cuisine is American fare. Service is good. I bring out of town guests here frequently.

Great place to stop. Not often do you get a little gem like this while parked in a truck stop. I had the chicken fry and eggs for breakfast and was not disappointed. I look forward to future runs by this spot.

We decided we wanted to sit down for lunch rather than grab convenience food at the truck stop. It was great. Excellent atmosphere and reasonable prices for the large portions. I am usually one to finish my plate entirely, but I left part of my fish sandwich on the plate because of the large quantity. The fish sandwich, Turkey Blt and Jack, and the cheddar broccoli soup were great. The fries were fantastic! We would definitely eat here again if we are passing by at meal time.

Fantastic food! It's always hot and homey! I always get great service from the waitstaff. I love getting the fish and chips. Their portions are great, you don't get a puny amount of fries like at other restaurants. I came here for my birthday, my friends love it. I highly recommend this place.

Wow, we are still stuffed and satisfied. Went for a drive to see the fall colors and stopped at River City Grill in Bonner for a late lunch. We got there at 1:55 and we got to have the Sunday special. They start serving dinner at 2 pm. We shared the special Chicken Fried Steak, 2 eggs, hasbrowns and pancakes. It was great! My husband who is a connoisseur of cars and biscuits with gravy (go figure) loved the sausage gravy over the steak. We will come back again. Their burgers start at $9.00 and go up. Their sandwiches are $9.75 and up and the "Matador" which is the advertised original starts at $11.00 so the prices aren't cheap. Nice wait staff and she told us their homemade bread pudding is to die for, but I had already unbuttoned my pants I was so full. Maybe next time. I live across the street from this place and still drive 8+ miles to go somewhere else. I have eaten there 50+ times in the last 10 years but only because of convenience. Nice enough place, friendly staff, but the food isn't anything special. Everything seems to be frozen or from cans, and a bit overpriced. If they would step it up a notch people would drive for miles to go to it but instead we drive for miles to avoid it. I guess there will always be truckers to fill the seats and pay their bills, but for $10 for an omelet you could make an amazing one instead of an acceptable one. Just sayin'

Great little place tucked in near the Bonner/I-90 interchange, next to the Town Pump travel plaza. Stopped here for Sunday morning breakfast after reading Yelp reviews. Restaurant is in a converted little house and is clean and very welcoming. Decorated with old photos and Montana-related posters. Upon arrival, the hostess told us our wait would be 10-15 minutes, which was odd considering we saw several open tables, but our wait only ended up being about 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly, quick with beverages (coffee was WEAK!), and gave us time to read over the menu and make our selections. We ordered the Chicken Friend Steak breakfast and the Ham and Cheese omelette breakfast. Both were tasty, nothing fancy or pretentious, just good solid breakfast fare. Portions were adequate. The menu offers a nice mix of breakfast and lunch choices. Prices were slightly high in my opinion for breakfast, but that seems to be a common thing in Missoula based on what I've experienced. I love having solid, go-to restaurants when I travel and I would definitely put this place in that category. Next time we're in Missoula, we'll be back!

Very good food at a reasonable price with rural personalities. Good sized portions, too. Been stopping by here for many years for The Tandem but, mixed it up this time for the Chicken-Fried Steak and was not disappointed.

Surprise! This is good. Once more, I found myself on a long drive along interstate 90. Overall, It's a pleasant drive. Normally, I fill up on deep fried corn dogs and coffee at Lucky Lil's truck stops. Prudently, I decided to vary my dining options. I decided to stop short of the truck stop at Bonner, and pull up at River City Grill. It was a wise decision, primarily because the food was good, plentiful and cheap. My order consisted of hash browns, chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, English muffin and coffee. Everything was okay. The fried steak was great, and slathered with cream gravy. Although my order took a few minutes longer than my usual truck stop corn dog; it was worth the wait. A bonus to my visit was a nice view of the nearby mountains, and a bit of history. This building is an old logging company headquarters. It's also a good place to eat.

It's an unlikely place for a restaurant, but convenient and good food. It's located a few miles east of Missoula on I-90 exit 109 in the same parking lot as the large Exxon truck stop. River City Grill serves American dishes with some unique items like sweet potato fries.

The group of 11 members of our family came in for breakfast. We put our names in and were told it would be about 10 minutes. We sat in the waiting area. We saw several parties go in after us and not come out and sit in the waiting area. One party that was larger than ours went in and got sat immediately. We asked to please speak with the manager. After letting us sit there for 30 minutes The same waitress who said it would only be 10 minutes and then proceeded to seat several parties in front of us said the manager was too busy to talk to us. Unbelievable. We even offered which tables should be put together for our party. That still didn't work for them. Will never go there again.

Great place for breakfast. Had the Steak and Eggs and it was pretty dang good. Few of my buddies had the Bonner Burrito with Chocolate Chip Pancakes and really enjoyed everything.
