I had such high hopes... Only to be DASHED! A group of co-workers came in for a Friday night after work happy hour and a bite. Most expensive draft happy hour beer and worst Fish and Chips I have ever had. To be honest, not sure I was eating Fish. It may have been cardboard?? The redeeming quality of this restaurant was the server, even though the food came out piece by piece she was friendly, pleasant and quick with the drinks, water, refills and our check. Now if only she could have/ would have fixed the cardboard ahem fish Rumor has it the breakfast is good, I will give that a try.... who said I don't give a fair shake?

Dang good breakfast! Gourmet omelets, good serving size. Lunch: try the Blue Mountain Burger. Burger is cooked perfectly to go with the blue cheese. Good fries, Bear Claws aren't bad. Service could be a little friendlier and may have to wait a couple minutes to get seated. Great to have a non-chain restaurant on the north end of town!

Sub par for sure :( voted #1 in Missoula in the independent no idea how. Waited 10 mins to be sat... No problem and then the waitress didn't come for our order for some time. Ordered an appetizer (motz sticks) that took 25 mins to get. I ordered fish and chips not great; and hubby had a burrito and he said it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. All and all we prolly won't be going back :( sucks

Our family of 4 walked in on a slow Saturday Lunch hour and waited a good 5 minutes while casino attendants and another server walked right past us, looking our direction but not saying a thing. Not a good impression for a first visit. Finally another server came over and then asked us if we were there for lunch or breakfast. Which is weird, because how would we know unless we looked at the menu? Why not give us both menu's? They showed us to a booth in the back of this dark restaurant. The booths seats are very short and it is awkward to sit in them, I felt as if I was falling off the seat, even my young kiddo said the same thing. Soon our server came, took our drink orders. I asked her what her favorite thing for lunch was and her favorite thing for breakfast. She gave a couple of recommendations which is always nice for people who've never been to a place before. We settled on the pot roast sandwich with mushrooms and onions added and sweet potato fries. The kids ordered quesadilla's and fresh fruit bowl. The sandwiches were very tasty although very greasy and the horseradish dipping sauce was great. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect. The kids loved the fruit cup which was full to the brim of tasty fresh fruit. The service was iffy at first but our server made up for it by being sweet & cheerful. All in all, the food was tasty and the prices were great. Next time I might try the bottomless mimosa's or the bloody mary bar.

Generally enjoyable spot. It's a new place so I'm happy to forgive some of the hiccups (incorrect pricing on beer list, relatively slow service) and I think the food is going to keep this joint open despite the less-than-favorable location in town. I had the corned beef sandwich and my wife had one of the biggest burgers I have ever seen. Both were very, very tasty and satisfying. We also ordered the jalapeno poppers, which were bacon-wrapped and FANTASTIC. Ambiance thus far is so-so. It's well-decorated and comfortable, but nothing stands out. It was eerily quiet, no music. I'm sure this will improve as more and more folks come in and it starts to form a culture. There is a casino attached which would seem out of place, but nearly EVERY restaurant in Missoula has a casino, so we paid no mind. We'll be back.

I've never had a bad time here. The food is good and the customer service is excellent. Also, bottomless mimosas on the weekend and a make your own Caesar bar!

I've eaten here twice and the food is good. But wow, terrible service. We did have a large party but we were one of only 3 parties in the entire restaurant. It took a long time to get our drinks (we had to go ask for them). We had to fetch our own kids menus. And it took ages for them to bring the bill and run our credit cards. I'm sad to say that I won't be coming back. The restaurant was full of staff and none of them seemed remotely interested in providing service. Bummer.

First time here...very impressed with everything. Service was fast and very friendly (our server Melissa was awesome)! The drinks were super good, not too strong-just right :) We ordered a Huckleberry Margarita and their special "Lava Flow"(one was $8 and one $9, served in a pretty large goblet) and we both enjoyed it. For our meals, I got the "Smoke in the HenHouse" salad and my mom ordered the Garden City Pasta. Both were really tasty and well made! I didn't see any reason this place didn't deserve a full 5 stars--it was absolutely great! Two meals, dessert, and 2 big drinks for about $45-pretty reasonable!

selective happy hour? I to had high hopes for a good new spot to eat. I had heard some good reviews and decided to try for myself. We went for happy hour (between 5&7)but when we requested something off the happy hour menu on our booth table we were made aware that we were ineligible for those items. These specials were for those who sat in the bar only, not people sitting 3 feet away. Deterred but still intrigued, we ordered full priced drinks and reassessed our non happy hour options... Selective happy hour aside, there were issues that need to be addressed. 1: Our booth was nice and made to look aged, kudos. but where the knots in the wood are were not filled leaving a void full of crumbs, salt and food bits left by previous diners. no matter how much you wipe a table these food traps will remain. they need filled with clear epoxy. it's gotta be a health issue. 2: The coleslaw needs work. it tasted like a warm chop salad and oddly tasted of walnuts. no vinegar/mayo. one bite and off to the side of the table. 3: I'm a ribs guy. I ordered them and was all but insulted. If you know ribs like I do, you'd know that removing the silver skin is step one. the sinuous layer opposite the meat makes for a chore while eating and is very off putting. the staff was great, now if the kitchen and management would only help them out.

So first time in this place. It's a Casino/ restaurant food is good. I'm just having breakfast so not sure about the rest of the menu. Service is good and timely, food comes out in a short time period. I will definitely be coming back.

Pretty good and certainly better than the one that was there last. However, we have found the consistency is not always there. When it is good, it is very, very good but when it is blah............well, just saying. Some family members love their breakfasts, but my vegi-browns were not as good as they were in my imagination driving there. All I can say is the service was better than the food. Thanks, Judy Helm Wright "Pet Grief Coach" in the Last Best Place, Missoula, Montana.

Best darn Bloody, it a and an experience and a meal by itself. Service was great and I highly recommend this place. Staff was super friendly.

I give only 2 stars as the service was only mediocre and the fish tacos I ordered smelled as if they were rotten. The well was overwhelming and the rest of the table guests couldn't believe the smell either. The appetizers we had were wings which were ok and the best thing on the menu the Pop It's were good which gave the two stars. They were jalapeños cut in half with chicken, cream cheese and wrapped in bacon.

I have to say, for the most part, the food is pretty good and a safe bet. Great price for what you get. However, I recently had the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Though we were seated almost immediately, in reflection, I think the hostess knew that sitting us in the bar's booth area was a bad idea. Though the bartender/waitress made my companion's Caesar "with love" it was a struggle to get a glass of water, much less a refill on coffee. I can understand and be patient if it is packed, but it wasn't the busiest I have ever seen it by any means. We order, 45 minutes later our food arrives. My food wasn't what I ordered, but I wasn't about to say anything. It was breakfast, having eaten there before, we knew we got toast. After the second request/reminding her about the toast, it dawned on me that while the waitress had time to schmooze, hug and kiss on the customers next to us, she did not have time to get my toast. My companions decided to forgo toast while I gave a somewhat evil stare and asked if she could bring my toast for the third time. Add to that, she spoke negatively about other customers, which to me, just isn't a good customer service play. I can only imagine what she said about me once I was out the door. I wrote an email to the owners, only to have no response. I guess I don't respect owners who don't give a shit about their customers' opinion. If you go, good luck, just don't sit in the booths by the bar if a blonde is working...you will regret it. I kinda feel bad that I didn't warn the people that had just sat down in the booth behind us before we left (I'm sure they were getting the picture - they had already waited 10 minutes for her to take their order.)

Great when you walk in to the restaurant you immediately see a large open beautiful bar. My brother and I decided just sit at the bar and were immediately greeted bye a great bartender named Tracy. The decor in the restaurant is a little darker than I normally like but it has a beautiful feel to it, and the rock work and extra lighting adds a very nice touch. If you're into sports there are a lot open TVs and they will put on whatever you need . The menu runs 7 to 12 dollars a plate and everything we tried was amazing. I recommend the jalapeño pop it's. The Reuben was so amazing, if you're near Broadway and have a minute to stop by us is definitely a little gem well hidden and still amazing. We were there for lunch but they also have an amazing dinner menu, steaks running 17 to 20 dollars well then. Definitely a restaurant to stop by if you're in Missoula

I love their food but can't stand their extremely slow service. I love their claw fries, deserts, and entrées. But as far as service goes it is underwhelming. I usually wait ten minutes to get my drink and often the tables next to us get their food before my table even though we were there first. It takes a while to pay as well, last time I was in it took well over ten minutes. I usually just come here for the food.

I wanted to like this place. Second time coming and found the food to be subpar both times. Ordered the Barnyard massacre ( same as Royal Red Robin) poorly executed

We ordered a Cobb salad and half way thro chewed and almost swallowed a good sized chicken bone. ... And cut my throat . Manager came And only said sorry no compensation or didn't even seem to care. Very upset ! Will never go back

This is my third time to dine here. The prime rib is the only redeeming food to come out of the kitchen. Worst fish and chips I have ever tried and chicken fried steak and chicken are mediocre at best. The "fresh vegetables" were peas and carrots out of a can, resembling a bad meal from a school lunch line. Great location and facility with poor presentation and execution. I hope they hire a new chef, as I would love to see a successful restaurant at this location. As of now, they seem to have an identity crisis and cannot figure out if they want to be a nice restaurant or a crappy dinner.

Went with an open mind, middle of the week, and while the service was slow the waitress tried, but didn't seem to be focused on us or her job. We were served and she didn't come back to check on us or fill our drinks for a long time. I did hear laughing, as we waited and waited for her return? Food was ok, but service was lacking. For that reason alone, I won't be going back. Once is an experience, twice is a mistake.

We have only had beers in here at this time. They have a smaller tap selection than most but they have had a few very decent beers on tap. The people are super friendly and sometimes funny, Lol. As for the food I obviously can't review that. I will say the times that we have been there they were giving samples of some particular item that was for the following day and it was pretty good. I want to beleive that they make a fair amount of product in house but I don't know that for sure. One thing that does annoy me is that since I for some reason assumed that they made items from scratch I called about the Chicken Fried Steak they serve at Breakfast. Unfortunately this menu item is not made in house it is another one of those sodium laden frozen hockey pucks from some lame ass food service company. I really hope in the future that this changes. As those who know me know the amount of miles I will drive for a great handmade CFS. This is also why they get three instead of four/five stars.

First time for breakfast. Food was excellent, portions were perfect and the service was spot on. The best thing was the owner. He was surveying the customers, introducing himself and asking if anyone had menu suggestions for the new menu. WOW! When the owner or chef is not afraid to face the customers the food MUST be good. Back this next weekend. Thanks Keegan!

We loved this place! Went during the lunch hour and I had a hamburger and fries and my boyfriend had the grizzly club sandwich. Both were delicious! Don't be fooled by the basil mayo on the club, it tastes amazing! We are definitely going back again, we had good and prompt service.

Love it! Food is great, prices are reasonable and servings are huge. Perhaps things have changed but the menu was actually thorough but not overkill. There's a few dishes each of a few kinds of meats and some pasta. This was my first visit here. The restaurant/bar is clean with an appearance of "chain restaurant" at first glance. But a little while there and I began to notice the attention to detail that had been paid by an owner who loves his business. The decor and menu are very professional. The staff is mostly well trained and knowledgeable of the food - although our server didn't know much about the beers. I had the pot roast with garlic cheese mashed potatoes. Yum! (I had to take half of it home because it was so much food) My husband had the pork chops with cherry sauce and said it was very good as well. I tasted the sauce and it was quite unique. Our friend had the Ribs and Claws and there was so much on his plate I thought it was a plate for two people. It looked wonderful and the aroma was yummy. He said he gets the same thing every time and can't force himself to order anything else because it's so good. We also had the jalapeno bacon popper appetizer and it was amazing! We're from Arizona and have had tons of jalapeno poppers and these were the best thus far. We understand that this is Montana and most people don't like "hot" here - there's "Montana hot" which is "mild" in other places. The poppers were "mild" for our taste buds - but oh so tasty. We will definitely be back to try more of their unique flavors. Oh - and for the gluten sensitive - they offer gluten free alternatives. That's the bonus for having local owners who can do those kinds of things. AND - the desserts look oh-so-tasty. There's even a gluten free addition there too. We didn't have dessert but I may just have to return for a little of that berry bread pudding. Did I mention happy hour? They have a split happy hour - one early and one from 9 - midnight. Do I know the owner? Nope. Just like this place. It's refreshing to see in Missoula. Not chain food, not a dive bar.

My husband and I have eaten here easily more than 15 times.....Even though I practically have the menu memorized....I always study it because everything I've had was wonderful so I keep thinking I will try something new. The best burgers prepared to the perfect medium as requested. The desserts amazing....altho I was disappointed they no longer have the breadpudding with whiskey sauce....the servers are always friendly and dedicated....I LOVE this place. The prices are great for everything you get.

Menu is long and tiresome. They are trying too hard to brand themselves with clumsy wording mentioning grizzly bears and hikes. I just want a straightforward description of the food, not some dumb play on words. Food was overpriced and not good. I had the hot wings and spent 10 dollars for half a basket of wings that were not hot. My son had a grilled cheese sandwich and the cheese was not even melted. At least the server was nice and knew how to do her job. Bad first impression, probably not going back.
