Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This is for the mall location. I have already rated the stand alone restaurant which I love. I wish I could say the same about the mall version. I walked past this place multiple times before trying it and I wish I had kept walking. This review is mostly based on cleanliness and the employees. First the coffee though, my daughter got a chai thing of some sort and I got some coffee thing I can't even remember. Mine was bad. Watered down and very burnt tasting. Her chai ended up going in the trash along with mine after several sips to make sure. We love coffee in all flavors and sizes. The one I've had from the restaurant was fabulous, but this place wasnt good at all. Now onto the issues with the people working there. I'm not sure if they are aware that people can actually see them since they are right in front of us, but why do they have to constantly scratch their heads and pick at their teeth while making peoples drinks and food? Every single time, and I'm not exaggerating, every time I have seen someone behind the counter scratching their head then making coffee or picking at their mouth. Today I walked by and one of the ladies was scratching her mouth then grabbing a cup for someone. That is so disgusting. I don't know how they can have the lines they do when this is done in front of the patrons. Wash your freaking hands if you touch yourself. Just nasty.

This is an excellent place to grab coffee, gelato, or a light meal when you're at the mall. Not "food court" food at all! The flavored lattes (such as vanilla) can be a bit sweet (depending on the barista crafting your drink) - if you prefer a little less sweet just mention it.

Something out of a movie where the owner longs for notoriety by constructing an edifice of absurd proportions and pretensions. Some authentic wheat-noodles....but if there are more than two other couples in the room you realistically can't hear yourself think, "Gosh, I just paid 11 dollars for white-flour pasta and I can't hear what my supper date is saying." Kafka meets Woody Allen in this homage to pseudo-Italy.

Delicious. BLT with chipotle aioli and avocado. Delicious. Fresh pasta with garlic, arugula, and tomatoes. Delicious. Pistachio gelato. Delicious.

Local, Organic, Granola, Chic, Hip These words label this place well. Having spent seven years in Colorado, I thought this place could have easily been transported from Boulder. They work hard to make sure your experience is one to remember. Everything you order is made with the best ingredients. They have a wonderful selection of beer and gelato. You want to hate it, but you secretly always want to be there. If I lived in Missoula, I know I would be.

Each time I go out to eat, I want an "experience." I'm often disappointed. Cafe Dolce was remarkable and the furthest thing from disappointment. The space was unique and the menu thoughtful and interesting. All of the staff were lovely and helpful and attentive. The patio was gorgeous on the sunny day I stopped in but I sat just inside, had a cupacinno, salad, soup and half a sandwich ( I saved the other half for my flight to Seattle) with figs. Perfect. They also serve gelato.

I always enjoy their coffee and friendly service. A bit limited on their latte flavor options but the gelato variety makes up for it. Nice atmosphere and their minestrone soup is good. They keep their soups really hot too which I always appreciate! My husband loves their roast beef sandwich as well.

The food at Caffe Dolce was very high end, and the service was professional yet warm. It is a bustling, charming spot that makes you think it is in a historic building, but it is a rebuild of what our server thought was a car repair shop. TIP: go to the bathroom. Their bathrooms are so chic, but kind of give a "gothic dungeon" (but fancy) feel. So cool. We had the lamb carpaccio, olives bowl, fennel salad, and shrimp pasta - and Caffe Dolce DOES have gluten free pasta! We were so happy that we tried the gluten free pasta. The flavors in all of the dishes were so creative and refined. * Note - we always buy several dishes and share. The portions here are a bit smaller than most places, even compared to other "New American" restaurants. The prices are a bit high, too, but this is not a complaint - we'll be back.

Consistently yummy food. Love the steak salad, minestrone soup, and grilled sandwiches for lunch. For breakfast, try the baguette with gravlax. One of the best Sunday brunches in Missoula...love the dungeness crab eggs benedict. Sunny, clean, modern dining experience. Great service! Friendly and cool. We love Caitlin, she is so sweet.

The mall location leaves a lot to be desired. Seems like being a customer there is a real hassle on the staff. Also, waaaay too overpriced for a mall location.

Cute place, great food. A little expensive, I paid $19 for a salad and a coffee. Also, there breakfast service will sometimes end before 11 a.m. so show up early if you want it. They closed breakfast service 15 minutes early, very disappointing if that is what you want.

I am a big fan of this place! I think it is the most beautiful building in Missoula. My favorite on the menu is the Lamb Burger with it's accompanying salad. Then try capping it off with special gelato they make fresh there. One of my most memorable was the Olive Oil and Basil Gelato...surprising and fantastic! That is really my review right there for Cafe Dolce...surprising and fantastic. The only negative is that it can be a little loud when crowded...so speak up, and still enjoy the food.

This place was an absolute treasure. Sit outside, sip the wine, and take your time with heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fig and prosciutto bruschetta. I could go on. The staff do not rush you through the meal. We love wonderful food and we would recommend this place with five stars anytime!
