Came here for breakfast a couple days ago and ordered the breakfast burrito! Omg it was delish... cheesy, potatoe-y goodness that's won't break the bank!! Love how the place also sells antiques In the restaurant and it's attached to a bar and casino!! Gotta love Montana!! My only complaint was that the service took a long time. It took at least 20 mins before someone even took our order and we had to ask for the check...but the staff was super friendly!

My brother in law and I ate there yesterday and I must say it was disappointing. The lady that waited on us was very unfriendly and clearly stressed out with her job. We were there well over an hour for our breakfast and when we got it it was not even warm the toast had no butter my omelette was extremely undercooked should not have eatin. We never were checked on the entire time. Plus I watched at least 10 people come In sit at a table and not get helped and get up and left. Travis

I am a sucker for a Reuben sandwich and that was one of the first things I saw. No need to look any further, my mind was made up. We were greeted by a very nice lady who told us the specials of the day. Then a guy came out to take our order. He was very friendly and chatty. He recommended the beef and vegetable soup. So I ordered the Reuben with a cup of the soup and my wife had the Aloha burger. The food looked and tasted great. The restaurant itself was neatly decorated and clean. I give this restaurant 4 stars because it is the first time I have tried it. However I can see myself becoming a regular here. Thanks for the great experience!

My family and I chanced upon this restaurant on a road trip from Glacier to Spokane. Our food was out of this world good. Huge portions, great down home cooking, good service. Clean and did I mention their food was amazing good? I had the caramel pecan cinnamon bun french toast, my husband had the spicy shrimp and sausage pasta, my daughter ate the country fried steak and my stepson had a prime rib sandwich. Best road trip stop ever!

We had a not so good experience in 2013 and have been gun shy of stopping back in. We had heard rumors of new management. Stopped in and was pleased to see restaurant side remodeled and more open. I had Flat Iron steak, blue rare, quite tender and cooked to 'blue rare'. Salad fresh, veggies fresh & cooked correctly. Here is best part, fry bread still sizzling when it reached the table. She had chicken fried steak & gravy. Sausage gravy, and she did not stop until the mashed potatoes were swimming in it too. That was a meal large enough for two people, oh yes, and fry bread, man that stuff is good. I remember going there 20 years ago with my parents for a breakfast meal, any time of the day, it has returned to that legendary status!

This is awesome. It's a small quaint place that you'd never know if you didn't stop in. The coffee is always fresh and they have flavored creamer if you need it. The waiter we had was awesome and super nice! I had the western burger it was outstanding with corned beef and I added jalapeño ranch! The bun was a fresh baked one that had good texture and was toasted perfectly to stand up to the juiciness of the burger and condiments. The side was beer battered fries with a great flavor and texture! The Bloody Mary looked impressive I will come back for that and the "Big Ass" breakfast and the ass part referring to a donkey! Other food ordered was the steak sandwich that looked amazing and I was told was superb! Large pieces of Texas toast, toasted and the steak cooked to your liking with sautéed onions and mushrooms! Plus a side of your choice! I will return and I will be looking for something else to try! Plus they have daily give aways!

I'm adding an extra star for the souvenir Homestead thongs, which I didn't see until we were leaving, but I feel really sum up this joint. I had nachos and they were exactly what you'd expect from a greasy spoon bar, and by that I mean freaking frakking delicious. My kids were totally absorbed in looking at all the tchotchkes and the enormous squeeze bottle of ranch that came with their meal. Reasonable prices, seedy atmosphere and vintage pistols for sale. It's a winner

Breakfast is AMAZING. There were 4 of us and we each got something different from the menu. I'm telling you, it was the best breakfast each of us had ever had. HOWEVER, we went back for dinner and were very disappointed. I heard they were going through a transition of sorts. But whatever you do, don't miss their amazing breakfast!

Very cluttered on the inside. You don't know if you're eating in a restaurant or antique store. The food is mediocre at best. The service is OK. One especially irritating thing is the live music (if that's what you can call it) and karaoke outside. It's 50% louder than it needs to be. I feel for people that live near there and have to put up with it night after night. The original Homestead was excellent. This version of the Homestead not so much. Take a few minutes and go on into Kalspell and get a good meal there.

To sum it up: it's quaint. Very homy and cozy. It doubles as an antique shop, so there's plenty of little gizmos lying around to keep you entertained. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Food was average; not the greatest, but not bad, but I've heard they have good breakfasts. Although I would recommend nearby places like the Tamarack if you're looking for a finer dining experience, this may be your choice if you're looking for something simpler, less busy, and a little more within your budget.

Good food but obnoxious environment..owner loud and employees complaining of personal issues in front of customers like child support, bar fights, being stabbed..not a normal cafe environment.

Have always had good food here. The Rueben sandwich is the best around. The daily specials have always been great but I come back every time for the Rueben. They also have a real hearty breakfast known as the "Big Ass" breakfast. Great food and lots of it for a great price!

Great spot for breakfast. Quite simply the best hash browns I've had in ages. Crispy and brown on the outside but warm and soft on the inside. Great portions that will fill you up for a day soaking up the sun on Flathead Lake. Down home hospitality at its finest.
