This is a fantastic place to grab a quality, relaxed bite to eat along with a full bar and as many micro brews as you could want. Mac River North is our go-to eat out spot when we can't decide on anywhere else in Kalispell, which boils down to at least once a week. The service has always been fantastic (last night Sara really stepped it up) and the food is always very good. We have tried a variety of the starters, pizzas, pastas and entrees. Everything is always good. I really really hope they keep the cheese curds around that were on their new happy hour menu last night! Wow those were addicting! The bar itself is the only open seating which is fine with us. We sometimes ask to sit on the bar side but don't always care. The whole restaurant has a great vibe. Bring your friends and enjoy!

Make sure you ask for Kaelynn or Windy. They are the best. Amazing Ceasers (the drink) and the goat cheese queso is to die for. Rod and reel lunch combo is the bomb!

GREAT service, food was pretty good, drinks "ok". The atmosphere was casual and perfect for lunch before a movie. We didn't try the pizza which I've had before in Montana and it was very good. We had a wonderful server, wish I remembered her name. Salads were good.

Not that impressed, pretty average offerings. Service was slow, my water glass was never refilled. Will not be back.

I love there pizza and the sizes in beer. The food is unique much better than some colonial pre America style pizza! I believe you could place this pizza in a 1940-1960 style pizza maybe 1834-1868 if you substitute the flour for german whipped grains. Its awesome to know that civil war troops could have eaten the same pizza.

Terrible pizza! Awesome service! Kaelynn, our server, was absolutely hilarious. We had a blast with her, even after we got our extra greasy, super bland pizza. She likes to skip, so there's that too. Probably won't go back unless I want to see Kaelynn, and/or have a beer.

Had a burger and it was great. Not as big a menu as their other location but still a worthwhile place to eat. Staff is great.

What a joke! Was seated in bar area for lunch. 15 min later no one waited on me so I got up and walked out. Terrible customer service! Unacceptable! Wish I could go Zero Stars!

We've been here and the whitefish. Located next to the prairie center shopping area. We always get the gluten free pizza and some appetizers. The locations change their menus which is kind of fun. They seem to always have pizza, pasta, and some sandwiches and salads but the appetizers may vary from tacos to nachos to hummus & pita bread. It is nice to have the variety. Also the whitefish location only serves beer and wine, no hard alcohol. The Kalispell location serves cocktails and beer and wine.

Where food is concerned, in my group of 20+, there wasn't a complaint among us, which is pretty hard to believe. The space is very nicely done and the ambiance is very nice, with the focus being on all things Montana, and who doesn't love that? Very large, impressive, beautiful photos adorned the walls of things that any local would instantly recognize and all visitors will appreciate. Here's my beef with MRP; in the bar area you will find plenty of seating with enough monitors to satisfy sports fans if they have come to watch a sports event and a large enough selection of beer on tap (12) to keep them happy. The downside to the bar is, and this is the thing that annoys me the most about the place, is while it may look like a bar (partitioned off from the dinning room area, lights down low, monitors everywhere, high-top bar tables), it's not treated as such. By that I mean, if you think you can just walk past the hostess and make a beeline for the bar and grab a seat of your choosing, you are dead wrong. The hostess will chase you down and will explain to you that you must be seated in the "bar" area, which is not really a bar area at all, but simply more restaurant seating. That being the case, you will have to go to the waiting area and, well, wait, until a table in the "bar" becomes available for you to sit at. The only place in the, so called, bar area that you can sit, without being accosted by the hostess, is literally, AT THE BAR...on a bar stool. Seating at the bar is limited to about 20, so it may be tough for you and your peeps to sit together.

I have been here twice. The food is amazing!!! The service the dust time was okay. The second time service was great. I had a pizza the second busy and oh snap! Killer! They also have a lot of local beers on tap, great house specialty drinks! I was here for business and wish I would have found this ace sooner!!!

Waste of money and time, get a frozen pizza and you'll be just as happy. If your going to take the time to go out try somewhere else.

Service was good. The Willow sandwich was recommended, it didn't measure up in taste, but worse I found glass in my Willow sandwich.... This is totally unacceptable no matter what. The manger apologized Numerous times, which was appreciated.... They comped our meal, another nice gesture. It would take allot for me to go back.

Nice interior, friendly greeting, eager waitress. Ordered lodge poles , burger and a chicken sandwich. Lodge poles were good, chicken sandwich was dry and very average. Nothing exciting. The place was very busy. Our waitress wanted to rush through the ordering , eating and paying process.

Great interior. Wait staff was very friendly. Ordered the lodge poles with pesto and they were great! Ordered the Cajun chicken Alfredo which was good but too spicy for my taste. Wife ordered the meatloaf which came bacon wrapped with veggies and mashed potatoes, she enjoyed the meal. Overall good atmosphere, staff, and food.

Dinner here the other night, party of 6. Came in about 7:30 pm. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Bistro pizza looked very good. Shepherd's Pie was delicious. Blackened salmon was very good. Can't remember other entrees. Very good place, will be back.

Great location! And a beautiful restaurant. The bar area has lots of tvs and plenty of room. This would be a great place to catch a game and enjoy a drink. I have to say I prefer the restaurant on the south side of Kalispell, because it has an intimate, quiet atmosphere. This one was so loud! Kids were screaming, not managements fault, but there is a loud echo.

Great food and great service! The new Mackenzie River is an awesome addition to Kalispell. The hamburgers are the best in town, and I love the fish taco skewers! The atmosphere is amazing and the service was top-notch. Definitely a place you must try!

This place is blah-blah boring. Just another TGIF, Appleby's type place. The food is edible and over-priced for the quality and probably the amount. The decor is interesting. The wait staff is pretentious and really don't seem to care about the customers (they do seem to like hanging out amongst themselves). They struck me as a bunch of college-age brats who really didn't want to be there. OK place to get an adequate meal and a beer, but don't expect to be impressed.

We had heard mixed reviews about food and service from friends and on Facebook but our experience was pretty good. Our server was prompt, the beer was good and everyone in our party enjoyed their food. My husband and I shared a plate of pork nachos that were awesome! We will be back.

My wife and I ate dinner at the Mackenzie River Grill & Pub in Kalispell on Sept 3rd and were extremely disappointed. We ordered the "baseball cut" sirloin for $23. Sorry!! 1st: The steak was NOT a "baseball cut." 2nd: Ordered medium-rare, it was served as well-done (tough as shoe leather). 3rd: The vegetables were cold...not cool, but cold! 4th: My wife ordered mash potatoes and got waffle-cut fries because "they were out of mashed potatoes" (at 7:00pm). 5th: Everything was pretty tasteless. We were also served a sweet, huckleberry sauce to go over the steak. Why? A good steak doesn't need a sauce. OH! I understand why we got the sauce. Also, I ordered a red-beer made with Clamato juice and got charged extra for the Clamato. Wow! I have never seen that before. Note: I did not get a discount for the reduced amount of beer. Were there positives? Yes. The French onion soup was pretty darn good, and our waitress was friendly, efficient & enjoyable. Will we eat there again? Nope!
